We were traveling from Denver back home to Springfield Missouri in 99 degree heat and our AC stopped blowing cold air. It was 45 minutes before closing time and Todd, the owner said to bring it on over. He got it in right away and had us back on the road with cold air in about 30 minute. He was kind enough to explain everything to me so I would know why and what happened. He’s very reasonably priced and I would recommend them to locals and travelers! Great experience!!!

Traveling from AZ, in 03 Dodge RAM, 1 ton dually. AC working intermittantly. Arrived for appointment, took our truck and about 30 minutes we had cold AC again. Very reasonable priced, friendly folks. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!.

Did the problem get fixed, yes...pretty quickly, yes. But heres the problem and Im sure its the same at many mechanic shops, the honesty and transparency with the bill. First, I was called with a quote of a certain amount which was to include the part, labor and taxes. I said, ok go ahead and do it. I received a call a little over two hours later saying it was ready. Still in the end I was billed for 3 hours of labor at $100 per hour. Hmmm. Second, apparently the tax was not in the quote because there was another $33 added onto my bill. And to top it off there is a 3% charge for using a card (fine I understand that), but that 3% charge was also charged sales tax, which Im not even sure is legal. Anyway, the work is completed satisfactorily, I just warn others to check what you are paying in the end.

We were passing through Hays on a cross country trip, Todd got us in the same day we called and had us back on the road before dark. He was knowledge, friendly, and welcomed us like old friends. He was pleasant and gave us honest insight so we could feel good about making the rest of the trip. We are so grateful for his work & our van getting us home safely! Highly recommend this spot!

This family owned auto repair business has excellent service and the ability to work on most all makes and models. I drive a 2009 Toyota Highlander, and two years in a row my car has broken down in Hays, Kansas, but they were able to get parts and repair my vehicle, so I could get back in the road within hours. The Norris’ and personable, friendly, and have fair pricing. Wish they were a local business to me.

I was traveling from Wichita to Colorado on memorial day and when I reached Hays I noticed oil was leaking from my car and my car was a couple quarts low. I called Broadway Automotive and they were able to quickly get me in and diagnose the issue. They had me out within an hour and I didnt have any further issues on my trip. Very honest shop and kind owner.

They were quick, friendly and reasonable. A car breaking down is never a good process but the guys at Broadway helped us out right away and put us at ease right away!

Not good with communication about your vehicle and the timeframe it will be done. Prices are ridiculously high even for a car battery. Do not recommend.

I broke down in Hays on New Years Day. I called almost every mechanic in town, and fortunately Broadway Automotive were the only ones available. They were able to not only get me in, but fix the problem in a short amount of time. They were very honest, polite, reasonably priced, and they did great work! I was in hayes ks on my way back to Wichita and had a brake problem with my 740BMW. It was only Thursday. Broadway automotive was recommended by an auto parts store. Jeremy and Todd located the brake calliper in Salina and had it there by 4:30 and I was on the road by 5:15. Greatest guys ever. I would recommend Broadway Automotive to anyone in the Hayes Ks area. Front suspension started squeaking on day 2 of a huge road trip. Brought my car in for diagnosis and not only did Jeremy find the fault flawlessly, he did so in probably 2 minutes. Whole ordeal to get the issue fixed probably took 2 hours, maybe 2hr 15min tops. Great service, fast, and gave me a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

They really helped me in a bind! I had just started my week and a half road trip when I hit a coyote. It damaged my radiator and I wasn’t sure if I could continue on the road. Cant stress how wonderful we were treated by Broadway Automotive. We were passing through Hays back to Colorado and the alternator was going out. We called around and everyone in town recommended this shop as they are very fair and a father/son shop. When we arrived they were quick to answer our questions and get parts ordered as we were in a hurry to get home. They promised they would try and squeeze us in and get the work done by noon the next day, which they did without fail. The prices were very reasonable and they were very kind and understanding of our situation. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone local or traveling who finds themself in a bind. We broke down in Ellis Kansas with a transmission problem and these guys were the most honest people I can speak of. They explained the issue and showed me visually the exact problem. If I lived here there would be no other shop I would go to. Seriously check these guys out for an honest estimate of your cars actual problem instead of just throwing parts at the car hoping to fix the problem.

Today we were driving from Kansas City to Denver when our vehicle started jerking while accelerating. It was very scary, so we pulled into Hays and went to Applebees. We called every repair shop in town and no one was open, because it was Memorial Day. A waitress overheard us talking and realized that we needed help. She mentioned that her father owned Broadway Automotive. She called him and Todd came down to the shop to meet us. He quickly diagnosed our vehicles issue, retrieved the part from the part store, and fixed our car. He was extremely professional and helpful. We even chatted while waiting for the part and he was very pleasant and friendly. His shop was super clean and organized and we were very impressed! We love that he was an honest and helpful business man, a skilled mechanic, and that he went out of his way to help us on a holiday. We highly recommend Broadway Automotive!!

After breaking down on a cross-country drive New Years Eve, I was forced to find a hotel for the night. Broadway Automotive was the only mechanic in the area that answered my call (I later found out they opened up just for me) on New Years Day. They helped me find a tow and quickly found the cause of my issue. We had to wait a day for parts, due to the holiday, but Todd at Broadway took me to a hotel and assured me that hed have my car back on the road on January 2nd. True to his word, he had my car up and running within a few hours of getting the parts, and I could not be happier.I am extremely grateful to Todd and Broadway for going out of their way to help me in my time of need, and highly recommend their services as a result!

We were in a caravan heading out for a ski trip when our truck’s check engine light came on right as we were exiting for a pit stop in Hays. Broadway Automotive is the ONLY mechanic open in Hays on Saturdays and we were so very lucky to find it! They got our truck right in, fixed us right up and got us back on the road feeling safe! Extremely impressed with this auto repair shop! My wife and I were traveling to Colorado for a trip we had planned for awhile. Not even 1/3 of the way there we started having care troubles. We spent the night in Hays and woke of the next morning. We got to the shop right when they opened and we were greeted with a smile from the staff! He was able to diagnose the problem and explain to us the issues we were having (in non mechanical terms to where we could understand what he was saying!)Thanks for taking care of our old car and making it so we can continue on our trip.Thank you so much! This shop saved me and my trip! Driving down I-70 the car started driving weird and then the check engine light came on. Being a Sunday night I got the car to a repair shop in Hayes that had Foreign Repair in their name and assumed being a Volvo, they would be a good fit. The owner call be first thing Monday and said by foreign he meant only asian cars and good luck getting anyone in Hayes to work on a Volvo. Looking on Yelp, I found Broadway Automotive, I called and the owner said he would look at it see what he could do. Long story short, by noon I was on way again and under the estimate. I made it to my destination 6 hours later with no more issues. They did say that one of the codes showed that there might be an issue with turbo ($$), but said the bad sensor they replaced might have caused that issue also. So far they are right. Great place, great people to deal with, thanks again.

Wonderful people, fast and proper service. I hate that it took me so long to leave these good people a review, Ive been meaning to for quite some time. I had a check engine light come on about 50 miles east of Hays. Stopped in here and they diagnosed the problem, retrieved the only remaining part in town (by driving over to the warehouse themselves), replaced the part, and had me back on the road in less than 4 hours. Not to mention they replaced my spark plugs while they were in there, at my request. I appreciate these folks more than anything. In my home town of Atlanta, this kind of service and follow through are impossible to find. Thank you to the family that runs this place very much. They saved my trip and possibly more with their amazing business.

Excellent experience. Was traveling back to Oregon with little kids, a dog, and spouse. Car wouldnt start after getting gas. Called the guys who then found me a tow truck that was there within 10 minutes. They ever offered to watch our dog. They quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem (seemed like a fuel pump but it was an ignition switch). Within 3 hrs we had the car towed, fixed, and were back in the road!! On top of it the crew there couldnt be nicer, really going the extra mile. Good shop in Hayes, KS.

Best automotive shop in Hays!

My radiator split open driving across Kansas. These guys were the only shop in town still open, they checked out and diagnosed my car with a quickness, ordered the part while I searched for a CouchSurfer to let me crash for the night, offered to give me a lift if I needed it, and gave me a call when the radiator was replaced and the oil changed before noon the next day. Suuuuper helpful guys that helped me get back on the road as quickly as possible.There was also a thing where there were two possible radiators that would work with my make/model. They went ahead and ordered both, knowing theyd be able to discern which was the better one to use once they arrived. That kind of better safe than sorry attitude--- caring that they got the correct part instead of me potentially having to wait another day for the order--- thats awesome.Thanks for being sweet and professional, guys. If Im ever breaking down in Kansas again ~~ ;)

Moving across the country when my 1995 Ford F-150 broke down. I broke the rear axle. After reading the high reviews I took a chance and had my vehicle towed to Broadway Automotive. I am extremely pleased with the repair, price and customer service provided. The owner fit me in quickly before the July 4th holiday weekend, took apart the truck to show me exactly what the problem was, then gave me a fair priced estimate. After given the go ahead, he had the truck repaired in a day and we were on our way. I know a little bit about auto mechanics and I can telly you Broadway Automotive is an outstanding shop with professional mechanics who still believe in excellent customer service. My only regret is Broadway Automotive is not located in my home town!
