After moving to Hanover this summer I hired Upper Valley Cleaners to clean my house, and returned at the end of the day to find almost nothing done. Literally half of the house had not been entered, and the part that was done was done badly. I sent a furious email to the owner and was shocked when he replied with the insinuation that I was either lying or crazy, and good luck finding anyone willing to work for me in the future. It was a masterpiece of gaslighting that, to me, carried undertones of threat.Now, to give credit where credit is due, he did eventually apologize and even offered to waive the entire charge, which I thought was both decent and professional. Everyone is entitled to a bad day or two, so I deleted the harsh review Id been writing in my head and happily put the whole thing behind me.Then a few days ago, everything changed. Close to a dozen local women (former customers and employees both) came forward with absolutely hair-raising stories, each one far worse than mine. Several have tried leaving reviews with their experiences, but the reviews are removed within minutes. Without sharing details, I am leaving this now as a giant flapping red flag of caution to all women thinking of hiring (or working for) this business, in hopes that it will be allowed to remain. Well see.

Extremely professional cleaning service! The did a visit and gave me a quote and I havent had to follow-up with them even once since then. The cleaners bring their own equipment, are on time and always do a fantastic job of cleaning the house. Theyre very responsive and always willing to change schedules if Im not available. I have never had a security issue. I am not giving a 5 star rating because Upper Valley Cleaning has been perfect over these nearly 6 years years. I give this rating because of consistency and reliability over time and in multiple settings. Minor issues have arisen due to workforce turnover, something I have experienced with other Upper Valley businesses in recent years. What is essential to me is that the owner and management of this business have remained responsive, courteous and honest. I am a satisfied customer and continue to recommend Upper Valley Cleaning to others in our community for regular cleaning as well as one-time events, projects or special circumstances.

Ive been a member of the uvc cleaning team for almost a month and it is one of the best places to work, Ive worked in saw mills construction the food industry and these guys respect and recognize hard work. We have had them a number of times in the past few years for windows and rugs. They generally do a good job and the guys who usually come are pleasant and professional. This year, rugs and windows were super expensive. For regular cleaning they do a good job, depending on who comes - its a rotating cast - but far too expensive for us. Also in the covid era, casual to unwilling on the mask front, which was a problem for us.

They did exceptional job cleaning a couch that needed some deep cleaning.

First off they didnt do half of what was in the contract for them to do, despite extending for a full additional day. They were contracted to do a deep clean between house sale and new owner move in, they didnt do the garage, basement, inside appliances, inside drawers, or windows. All of which were in the contract to do.Secondly, they stole from us. After we called and made a fit about it they returned most of our belongings and said it was a misunderstanding. Between the theft and the truly terrible cleaning job we are considering posting a formal complaint to the BBB.

They started off great with theame team every 2 weeks and slowly slipped in quality and ever increasing price. Decided to stopped after ppl rice increased by 60% and after locking the cat from his litter box. Now they send back the key with postage due!

We just had them come over to clean and while they did an okay job, they charged us astronomical prices and took FOREVER to finish, and I’ve never spoken to a more awful manager in my life. If I could give them less than a star, I would.

I had a tenant leave my residence in terrible condition. There was garbage and food everywhere and I had a new tenant set up to move in within the next few weeks, I was in a bit of a pickle so I reached out to Upper Valley Cleaning and explained my situation to Rob. He offered me a very fair rate and put me on their schedule for the following week! The crew that came was so positive and helpful even though they were up against a disaster. I was so pleased when I returned after they had finished, I didnt even recognize it! I will certainly be using UVC for all of my future cleaning needs and will be recommending them to everyone I know!
