I couldn’t be happier if I hadn’t signed up one life fitness center. It’s a great joy to be here working out every day. I’m pretty excited to lose weight and see my myself what I used to be before I married my beautiful wife. The staff here is extremely kind, knowledgeable and courteous. The gym is extremely clean. Everybody smiles at you, makes your day even better! I got my own personal trainer Manny( highly recommend him) he is very good understandable and experienced. Overall grade club I would highly recommend to anybody in the area.

1. This gym is pretty nice. Been a member for like 2 years2. You guys need to have the same hours including Saturday & Sunday. Itd really help since some of us still work on those days and your hours are outside the range we can workout3. 4am - 11pm was pretty great. Just saying

Just called the gym. Asked the lady that answered about the online packages and how to become a member. She immediately said. oh...im still new, can i place you on a hold to get someone who can answer that i said sure. Another lady came to the phone never saod her name. Then said, so your calling aboit the memberships. Well, I dont know to much about pricing, but the guys that due will be in around 9a. I can have him call you to explain. Wait...whats??? Two women at the gym cant answer a simple question about the prices? I have to wait until 9 something to receive a call. Its cool ill go to PF✌🏾

Lots of benches, squat racks, and free weights. I love the turf area. Good selection of fitness classes. Decent facilities. Clocks are always wrong and many patrons dont respect the equipment, weights are always always all over the place and half the stuff is chipped or bent already.

I am very impressed with the caliber of staff working here. The personal training and explosive performance staff are highly educated and always looking to improve their skills. They are extremely knowledgeable in their fields and truly care about their clients. The membership consultants are very friendly and always willing to help out/answer questions whether you are a new member or have been here for years. The management team goes above and beyond to maintain an excellent facility. If you have a problem, the staff is willing to work with you and come to a resolution. Highly recommend them!

Clean, variety of machines for cardio & strength training. Cinema cardio room, pool, sauna & whirlpool. Spin and other classes. Plenty of showers and storage space.

Not happy use to enjoy onelife. Just started back two days ago. All I can say if the health department comes in here they will be closing this place. Dirty around all equipment. Not just a little looks like hasnt been clean since the first of the year. Thinking of dropping membership

Since they delete their 1 star reviews Ill post mine again.Refrained from posting anything negative until my experience 12/16. Due to the snow, I called ahead twice to see if they were still open(3pm). I got the answer yes both times but they said they may close early and will update the Facebook page if so. So I checked again before left, and nothing was posted on Facebook saying about a closure(3:30pm). I drove their in the snow to get my workout in for the day, and as soon as I walk in the door, I was told they are closing right now(3:45pm). I mentioned how there was nothing posted on Facebook and I called twice, but decided to leave and just workout at home. After arriving home (4:10pm) I saw they posted on Facebook that they were closing at 5PM!! I could have done a full workout after getting there at 3:45 but I was told a completely different answer by the worker saying they were closed. So I called and was then given another different answer by the manager saying they are closing at 4:30. At this point Im angered and confused since I drove there and home in the snow to be lied to twice. Ive been a member here for at least 4-5 years and am seriously considering a new gym. This goes to show how bad the management is and how out of touch this gym is with its workers,management, and customers.On top of this, they also lied about building an outdoor portion with the gym. It was never done and seems that it never will be done.This place is a joke. Unfortunately there arent many options in the area for a gym or they would lose a lot of business. I miss the old Golds Gym!!

I absolutely love this gym. Them have so much to offer and everyone is super nice and very helpful. Julie has show. Me so many exercises i can do with my back and knee problems.

Trainers are personable and gym has top quality state of the art equipment. They have numerous types of classes with varying times so everyone can get in at their leisure.

Onelife is becoming another corporate monster, sadly. I’ll be canceling after my agreement runs out. Would rather support someone local at this point.

HUGE gym! This gym is SPACIOUS which allows for GREAT social distancing during these times! It is also SUPER clean! I see the staff cleaning EVERY time I am working out! LOVE THIS GYM!

Don’t go to this gym!! I’ve been a member for over 2 years now and I cannot stand the mall location. The gym is 80,000+ sq ft and only has one normal leg extension and leg curl machine? Being a girl, I target my legs and I can’t do so when the only machine they have for that is taken. They also haven’t extended their hours in the night yet since COVID. I love working out at night because it’s not as crowded and it works better with my work schedule but they close at 9pm. I was already mad that this gym closed at 11pm vs the old golds being midnight and now it’s 9PM??? COVID only comes out after 9? They’ve also promised an outside area that has yet to be started. I would definitely be going somewhere else if there were more options in hagerstown.

I love this gym! Its a bit pricey compared to places like planet fitness but their options of classes and equipment are amazing. Ive been going faithfully these last 8 months and (combined with proper dieting) have lost 60 pounds so far. The only downside Ive experienced is how crowded the weights area can get during peak hours which cant be helped.

Onelife is a great gym. I havent been back since COVID19 started but I never had a problem freezing my membership. Staff and management are great. Always kind and helpful. I have been a member for years and will continue to be a member. Remember people COVID19 has been stressful for everyone even Onelife so just be patient and be kind. If they dont answer its for a reason. Always best to email so you have that trail of emails. They continue to clean and trying to keep us all safe. Be positive!!!!

You would think after so many places being shut down for months at a time people would do everything they can to help keep businesses open and people employed. The amount of members that completely disregard the mask policy is so disappointing and unfortunately at the busier times of the day there are just not enough employees to help enforce the mask policy but there are also many employees it seems that arent worried about enforcing it. It seems as though it is no longer a priority and allowing members to be happy and walking around without their mask so they keep coming and paying dues is more important. While all of that is disappointing the part that is most bothersome are the employees that are not wearing masks. A manager walks around and sits at his desk that is right inside the entrance with his mask under his chin while members and employees sit at his desk and talk to him within the 6 feet and without a mask. Some class instructors even walk around the gym after their class without a mask. No wonder members dont want to follow the rules when the ones that should be enforcing it arent even following it. This is quickly becoming a place I do not feel comfortable going during these times.

This is the best gym Ive ever been tonin my life. The only 2 things they need is feminine hygiene products in the restrooms. The cleaning lady need to clean later in the day as well.

Seriously? Youre seriously moving my class into the basketball court?!!!! It was a fight for members to get Pound on the schedule more than once a week and now youre moving it into the basketball court? I DO NOT PAY THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I DO to workout in the basketball court. That Mind Body studio is the only reason I didnt join the YMCA when you closed Northern. I love my classes in there and this is unacceptable. Jackson PT needs to sound proof their room, be more tolerate, or get out!

Don’t get me wrong, the gym itself is great but the company? Not so much. When COVID started, I tried to cancel my membership but the only way to do that is by sending an email. They don’t even have a phone number to call and if you call your local ONE LIFE, they tell you they can’t to cancellations and to go on their website and fill out an email form, which is what I did. I assumed it was cancelled but I just noticed that I have still been charged since! I’ve again tried to look for a number to call but can’t find one and I called to dispute the transactions with my bank but they can’t do anything either. This is horrible customer service and in my eyes, theft. If you sign up, prepare to stick with them forever.

I have been a member of alot of workout facilities in my life and Onelife Fitness is by far the best location I have ever joined. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they have every piece of equipment you could ever want and it is a great value. I could not be more pleased with my membership.

I’m reaching out to my uncomfortable experience at Onelife Fitness at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown Maryland... There is a member that has been causing problems for a lot of members recently.. I have spoke up to the GM (Andrew) multiple times without any type of resolution.. There was also just a fight with blood all over the place the other night.. My wife is absolutely DISGUSTED... My daughter was also frightened so we left shortly right after scene.. This is supposed to be a family gym, but the staff members of Onelife fitness have yet to get the problem out of the gym.. Please man up and do your job so my family can work out in peace.. We don’t need 40-year-old man harassing my daughter or starting fights. If we tell you it’s a problem it’s SERIOUS.. Until things get better we will be working out at extreme fitness in Martinsburg WV we are problems actually get resolved..Thanks... GOD Bless

They make it as hard as possible to cancel. The only way to cancel is through email. They claim they will get back to you but never do and just keep charging you. Would give 0/5 if I could. Do not trust them with your bank account info.

Dont waste your time or money! I have been a member of many gyms but this is the worst by far. Some of the staff members especially management (Jay) and older trainers are very rude, arrogant, and judgmental. I have said hello many times and was totally ignored. I have also seen Jay yell at front desk employees in front of customers more than once. The equipment is very dirty and the cleaning wipe dispensers are always empty. The positive reviews on here are mostly from employees. I have seen their name tags and seen them on Onelife Facebook page etc. Thats why the owner response (thanks) is very short.... saying you do not recognize our names as a member is a cop-out. Im now an ex-member anyway...

Both gyms are great. I actually workout at both and rate them almost even except the Valley Mall gym has a pool, spa and basketball gym. Get great workouts, awesome staff and the atmosphere is motivating. They both have a variety of equipment and free weights to choose from. Good balance of cardio machines and areas to work on functionality. You will not be disappointed.

After the decision was made to close the potential second location in Hagerstown, the Valley Mall location suffers greatly from the strain of the amount of members. Without delving into the fact that I must now travel across town to work out, the main issues with the Valley Mall are as such: Machines were constantly unavailable; patrons do not wipe down machines, often times due to the towelettes not being stocked by staff; the aquatics facilities do not seem to be kept to the standard of other gyms in the area; ultimately, it is most noticeable with the lack of any hot water in the showers during peak gym times. Had Onelife stayed the course and renovated the satellite gym, it would have remained Hagerstown’s premiere fitness facility. Currently, it is better to just show up, work out, and shower at home.

Wanted to join but the fees are really too high. Asked about veteran discount but was told there are no discounts of any kind. I hope to see some discounts for Vets and First Responders soon, or another membership option that isnt $360 a year plus annual fee.

Filled out the online form for a free 1 day pass, 5 seconds later a rep calls me to tell me that (due to covid) they are not doing free one day passes and it costs 16$ for a one time visit to which they can credit towards my membership if i decide to join. I am looking at my email that literally says complimentary one day pass. What?

Very Cleaned and out righteous Place .

Im really disappointed to find out my favorite class line up is being canceled because of Jackson PT. I really enjoy my Thursday class line up in the Mind Body Studio and Im sickened to find out that One Life has decided to put members last instead of first. You would think a PT practice would be supportive of physical fitness instead of destructive. I dont recommend either as they clearly dont care about peoples health, happiness, and well-being.

I travel for business and do triathlons. I’m always looking for someplace to workout. So, I’ve been in fitness facilities all over the country. I have to say I was super surprised by the quality of this facility. The staff was welcoming. The hours of operation - 4am open? - not that common unless you do anytime fitness or something similar. The equipment was new and well maintained. The pool 25 yds and perfect temperature for lap swimming. I’m impressed. I’ll come back next time I’m in town. $23 bucks for a day pass.

I absolutely love OneLife Valley Mall! The equipment is amazing, the staff is wonderful, the kids club is amazing to my children, and the whole atmosphere in general is amazing! I truly have been to many gyms, and never felt happy or enjoyed any the way I do this one. It has become my second home, and my children even wake up asking to go (so kids club must rock)!!

Firstly, I want to say I was very disappointed in how I was treated. I make an appointment to speak with someone and take a free class. I’m offered a tour etc.. However, when I arrive the person I was supposed to meet with isn’t here. I’m sitting for 10 min until someone comes to talk to me. She wasn’t apologetic or didn’t even care that I had to wait. I was super annoyed that I get all the way out here and she tells me it’s $99 down and and $19 a month or $19 down and $40 a month. I didn’t like how she pushed the first option and didn’t tell me the second one until I got annoyed because I know they offer the second one. It seemed deceiving to me. She didn’t check on me afterwards to even see if I wanted the membership. I felt very left out and not attended to. Not good customer service and my time was not valued at all. I actually liked yoga and I would’ve joined had anyone cared.

My Thursday morning class line up has been on the schedule long before Jackson PT changed their schedule!!!! I am furious that you are changing my classes around because this clinic does nothing but complain, they chose to open in a gym. Im absolutely livid that youre punishing your members because of this clinic!!! If it bothers them that much then they can change their hours back to afternoons on Thursdays. Have you even bothered to look in their clinic? Theres never patients in their during hour class times anyway?!!!!!

This gym is beyond amazing ! It’s such a welcoming environment, from the second you walk through the front door. The staff is amazing and always there to answer any questions. There is so many differnt activities for you to do between Group fitness classes (everyday) / Zone 4/ Indoor & Outdoor pools/ personal training/ and all the amazing equipment/ machines they offer !!

Dont really like the fact that there are so many children running around, unattended at that.Not ideal to attend a gym where kids run free, feels like a chuckie cheese. Would prefer if the children stayed in the kids zone. Other than that its a great gym, staff and amenities are awesome!

I was traveling and staying at a nearby hotel that had a fitness center that comprised one treadmill, one bike, and a broken weight machine. I saw this gym on Google maps and came them a call. They offered me a 24 hour pass that allowed me to get in a workout two mornings which worked out perfectly for me since I was just staying for two days. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, they had tons of bench racks, and enough squat racks and deadlift pads that there wasnt a wait (I was there before 9am). They even had a pool with 4 swim lanes, if I could come here regularly, I would definitely take advantage of that.I only wish the gym at home was this good. Please open up a location in North Randall, Ohio and put our planet fitness out of business!

This company is corrupt and full of liars. They have cut services to members, raised prices, have very high cancellation fees, and they are closing their oldest location with 1 month notice. Not only have they lied to members numerous times, but they secretly planned to rob from them and cut their services. Dont be surprised if their rates increase once they realize they cannot afford to keep their 7 million dollar location operating. They deserve to lose it all, and even more deserve to lose their jobs!

This gym is the best One life had to offer from Martinsburg wv to Winchester va to Hagerstown Md. Corporate did it right at this location and I dont know who they were listening to but they need to continue to do so. They didnt do it at the gym in Winchester. Closed down three gyms and opened a gym with less equipment and low grade machines. They failed. Hope they wont do the same in Martinsburg I will be leaving as will alot of other membets . I was told corporate doesnt care to receive an email from its members wanting to know how they can make the gymbettet in Winchester case. Im sure they wont read this as well but I have been in the fitness industry for 30 years and if they plan in making money long term they better listen to there members.

Guys, it’s getting ridiculous. I’ve spoke with the manager about 3 weeks ago, but nothing has been done..but the staff obviously chooses favorites. STOP letting that “girl” do back flips and cartwheels on the turf and the group classrooms. It’s obnoxious, EXTREMELY dangerous, and makes everyone uncomfortable. This needs to be addressed now. I pay to come workout, not having to dodge someone flying through the air. Grow up.

Nicest gym Ive been to/in. Joined onelife instead of Planet Fitness for the extra amenities. Aside from the lack of Cybex ARC trainers which I love dearly, my only issue is not being able to carry a bag with extra water and a towel- not a big deal but would be nice.

Gym sold us empty dreams and broken promises. The real reason they closing down their other location is because is going broke and cant afford to pay for their gym and fired their staff at the Nothern Avenue location. And to use a statement that Hagerstown will not allow another gym is insane. Just tell people you are going BROKE and sold people DREAMS.

The Valley Mall location is a joke.. They do not mop the floors in the locker rooms. they are filthy and quickly becoming just as unkempt as the north-ave location that they decided to neglect entirely before lying about the reasons for its closure.. i have never heard of a luxury sports club that doesnt mop their floors.. gross. Also, they banned gym bags from the gym area.. A gym actually banned gym-bags.. do they expect me to carry my lifting belt, wrist straps, fat grips, glucose tabs, extra water and other necessary accoutrements that i Need free-handed from station to station? out of all the stupid things that onelife has done since taking over golds, that one takes the cake for the degree of stupidity. If you actually care about working out, do not waste your time nor your money on this joke of a company..

Great work outside every time

No gym bags? Not a welcoming atmosphere for serious lifters, no chalk, you have to carry all of your equipment around since you cannot have bags, the dumbbells only go to 100. Very few machines for arms. Hot tub isnt open, went to use the sauana and it was off.

Been a member for approximately 2 months now. Walked in last week and mentioned to Tony Ferrari, the GM, that I am a PBA member (Professional Bowlers Association) and have a tournament upcoming the first weekend in August and that I have been dealing with a knot in my gluteus medius and asked for any recommendation to help the healing process as I could not bowl without massive pain. He was gracious enough to put me with Sean, one of their trainers, and helped me himself to get rid of the knot. Sean was absolutely amazing, and in the time Tony took and the 2 sessions with Sean (Who was working on crutches and in a boot!) I am happy to say that I will be bowling this weekend because these gentlemen cared enough and went out of their way to help! I cannot thank them both enough for what they did. If you need a gym that CARES about their members, Onelife Fitness in Hagerstown is your ONLY choice!

Love the new equipment, such as weighted machines that count your reps and times, deadlift platforms, turf area for lifting and other exercises, basketball court, sauna, pool, and new cardio equipment. This facility is hands down the best I’ve been to! It’s clean, staff is friendly and my kids could live in the Kids’ Club, they never want to leave!

Just like everyone else I was stoked for the gym to open. It took a little longer than what they had hoped but no big deal. The gym has lots of equipment and space. Of course it clean its brand new. I know other people have complained people are just to hard to please. Its a good gym with a friendly and helpful staff. Im sure once things getting running even the minor complaints Ive heard will be addressed. I like the fact everyones in their zone when your there. Offers allot for club price. There were no hidden fees I worked with reed over the phone from the other club Northside before this one opened and he told me straight up about maintenance annual fee so I was well aware. Dont knock it until you try it do your research and ask questions before you join the gym to knock it.

My mother recently joined this gym and wanted me to join as well, I went with her one day to check it out and will not be joining. The gym itself is pretty nice... I have never ran on a treadmill that smooth and it is huge with enough machines that I didnt have to wait for anything except free weights. However I will not be joining due to the ridiculous pricing, this place nickel and dimes you at every turn. It is $16.50 for a guest to come to this gym IF you know a member (not a very good way to attract potential members). I have also never been to a gym where you have to pay an extra fee for TOWELS. It was also extremely understaffed for a Saturday morning, there was an issue with my moms towel service and the girl at the front counter could not help her because she was the only one at the front counter on a Saturday morning signing people in. We had to wait for the manager, who was very helpful. The whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth, as do the rude owner responses ive noticed to bad reviews. its a shame because im still dreaming about that treadmill!

Its okay for a gym but kinda small compared to lifetime fitness in gaithersburg MD or even the YMCA in hagerstown.

Hello all I am a member of the onelife fitness in Hagerstown, was all hyped about the pools opening the kids club for my kids. Even after everything learned my kids would be able to swim alone after age 11 with a swim test! Come to find out the aquatic director Heather was not very nice and was yelling at my kids. We had family in town and was thinking about joining so we came, one visit had a great work out then took our kids swimming, well during the swim session we was told wrong things and ignored by the aquatic director because she wanted to be in the hot tub instead of watching He pool. Two older ones 11 and 12 were swimming come over veRy upset because they were talking to each other in the pool and got yelled at. When I went to address the aquatic director heather she ignored me and continued to relax in the hot tub. She then told me To go speak to someone at the front. With all of this to happen I pay a membership every month for me and my kids plus a yearly fee this month so all together 154 and then had to turn around and get a hotel room to go swimming when that is one of the main reasons I joined this gym and left planet fitness. VERY VERY DISGUSTED WITH THE WAY MY CHILDREN AND I WAS TREATED BY THE AQUATICS DIRECTOR HEATHER. This is suppose to be a family gym. Thank you for listening! By Donna Mumma
