I was prepared to switch to State Farm through your office until my last interaction with Michael Tran. I had mentioned to him that I needed to get all my info from my current homeowners policy to compare. We spoke on Monday and he immediately chastised me for missing a scheduled phone appointment. I am unsure if we had an appointment or not. Once we began our conversation and I asked additional questions, he became agitated and quite rude stating that he had emailed me all that I needed and even to the point of telling me exactly when he sent it. I understand he may have emailed me however; I was confused over a life insurance quote that was sent that I do not recall discussing. I was initially interested in auto insurance. When I asked he raised his voice and argued that we did discuss life insurance. Again, all I was attempting to do was get clarification on a few questions and he was more interested in making sure I knew he was right and that I needed to validate that he has already given me the info. He continued to push almost in a bullying manner and I was quite shocked over this behavior. I will not be doing business with this office and will be sharing my experience with anyone who asks.

I cant write my worst experience in words with them .. all i can say the guy kept calling my wife for weeks and get in to my personal life for no reasons and making bad jokes . we were harassed . i canceled all my 3 policies with them and i told all my community to cancel as well . yes we are Arabs and we stick together . and yes you were my agent do i need to share my 3 polices in public so you be sure . the guy name is micheal .

Ill admit I had no idea about insurance especially when it came to life insurance and liability insurance. I was blissfully sheltered by my parents so it was quite overwhelming when I had to go out and get it myself. The moment I walked in the office I felt welcomed. They took the time to explain all my options and were very patient with me. They gave my a lot of different options that would work for me and my budget and never once did I feel pressured to buy insurance that I didnt need. They are extremely knowledgeable and super friendly, always willing to help when I have a question.I send all my friends and family here and they are just as happy as I am!

I am not someone who is familiar with insurance options and how it all works, but Marc went above and beyond to explain every option we needed to make a sound decision that my husband and I were comfortable with. I was referred to this office by my sister who had an amazing experience. Personally I hate insurance and I normally think it’s and evil enterprise, however after dealing with this office my perception has changed. These are good people who are professional and take pride in doing an excellent job for their customers. I wish there were more insurance people out there like are in this office.

Our experience: They didnt listen, they pushed excessive coverage and then they threatened us with a lawsuit when we wrote a negative review! Do you want to do business with that company? My elderly mother has an inexpensive 2004 car...all she needed was basic coverage. They sold her twice the coverage she needed. For example she told them she had long term care insurance through another company yet they still added that option to her car insurance coverage. They NEVER LISTENED to her! She went in three times saying her insurance was too high and she needed some relief was there anyway that could be done. They could have taken off the long term care, they could have cut her back to the legally-required basic coverage...but they just said, nothing we can do. She finally found another agent that gave her the coverage she NEEDED for HALF the price! He scoffed at the high coverage they had sold her on a car that wasnt worth what she was paying in insurance. And her homeowners insurance was just as bad. They sold her additional insurance should her basement flood, shouldnt that be covered under her already high homeowners policy? They continually went up on her premiums. In my opinion, there are far too many insurance agents to choose from in this area to roll the dice on this crew. If you have elderly parents or dont completely understand what you need I wouldnt trust this crew to guide me through the process.

Unfortunately, I had to make a claim a few years ago when my finished basement flooded (they suggested I add the rider for my sump pump which I did prior to the flood) and my claim was fully covered because I had that extra rider on my sump pump which failed during the flooding in Grand Rapids a few years back. When I called them about my flood, Jennifer, my agent at that office, had one of their newer clean up and repair companies at my house within 30 minutes! They (John Grace Restoration) were efficient, professional and incredibly nice!I cant say enough how great this State Farm office is! With my busy work schedule, they take the time to make sure I know when payments have been forgotten by me and they also do an annual review of all of my policies to make sure I have the coverage I need without trying to over sell me! I have referred several people to them, including my own daughter, and they are all as pleased with everyone at Marsha Veenstras office as I am. Worst experience possible with Marsha - I never write reviews like this but I cant emphasize enough that I WOULD NOT USE HER. We were advised to get with our agent on a claim due to hail damage with our roof. While the damage occurred 2 / 3 years Marsha stated that a portion would be covered. In addition we talked to 2 others in her office who told us a portion of the roof would be covered. State Farm then sent out a contractor who told us it wasnt hail damage (we have two other roofers and 2 home inspectors who say this is clearly hail damage), it wouldnt be covered (didnt know a contractor is qualified to approve / deny a claim), but that he would be more than willing to work with us under the table (high ethical bar). After my wife complained about this State Farm sent an adjuster out who told us that our policy wouldnt cover the roof and that Marsha and team were wrong (the adjuster called Marsha and Marsha initially claimed she never talked to my wife and it was the fault of one of her employees, actually her son, who she blamed). My wife called Marsha after this and she has yet to return any of our calls (this was 3 weeks ago). We have been loyal State Farm customers for years, we have 3 properties insured with them and all we are getting is the worst customer service and inept or unethical help from our agent and from State Farm.

Earlier this year I switched to State Farm for my car insurance and I couldnt be happier with the customer service I have received from Marsha Veenstras staff.
