We recently moved to the area and needed a new place for my 6 year old son to get his hair cut. This was close to our new house and offered scissor cuts which my son needs.Since we hadnt been here before and didnt know any of the stylists yet we chose to walk in rather than book online (which I will definitely use in the future).We were greeted and given an estimated wait time which was nearly spot on.The shop is extremely clean and the staff were all friendly. Theres a waiting area with 4 chairs and a water machine. They also have a product area which was very tidy.The stylist who cut my sons hair was Alyssa. She was SO patient, kind and accommodating. My special needs son is extremely particular about haircuts and does NOT like clippers to be used, especially near his ears.Alyssa was SO amazing that she got my son Gunnar to sit for an entire haircut AND she was able to use clippers to clean up the edges and around his ears AND use a blow dryer to blow off the excess hair. I was so impressed.Even though my son has a hard time speaking clearly she still engaged him in conversation.We will absolutely be back for my sons haircuts and Im sure my husband will be back for beard grooming.

The vibe was awesome and my balding fathers 2 on the sides, 3 on top came out perfectly fine, but I have a more complicated haircut, so I asked to just trim and follow what I already had.However, I was BUTCHERED, like wear a hat for the next month or two to avoid shaving off my short-mid length hair.So I recommend the place to anyone with simple hair, but maybe stick to an actual salon or just higher profile if your hair is more complicated.

This place is not good at paying attention I asked for a mid to low fade and she started from the top first. Then after, gave me a bowl cut in the the front. She left my hair wet when I left and didn’t even add texture to my hair. I also hate how every store has fake reviews… oh just like this one, oh yea that’s not a surprise.

Pam was so great with my hair her attention to detail was incredible. I could see the level of focus in every aspect of the haircut. I was on my last chance for a barber to make me feel confident that professionals exist. Pam restored my confidence. I will definitely be going here in the future for all of my haircuts.

This is by far the best place to get a great haircut and a real good price. The team members here are always very nice and friendly. You get a great hair cut. Then a straight edge razor shave on the back of your neck. Then your neck is covered by a hot steamy towel. A little massage with lotion on your neck. Then you can get your hair washed with a full head massage and a hot towel on your face. Finish it of with a little style and done. All this for just $25!!!! One of these days I will get a straight edge face shave.

My son and I go to this location regularly to get our haircuts. Staff is very friendly and well versed in the arts of cutting hair, we always leave happy with the outcome!

First time in was a great experience had the luck of getting Miss.Veronica, asked for a Mohawk and she hooked me up good that was about 2 months ago now and have been back numerous times since then. Now take my son there too he likes Miss.Becky. Very relaxed environment stylist are all very friendly and all seem to pay very close attention to detail always a pleasurable experience. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend booking online though as they do tend to get very busy. All in all I don’t foresee going anywhere else but here for quite awhile. Keep up the good work ladies.

Only ever had one bad hair cut from this location, and even that was just the gal not cutting my fade properly on the bottom. When I ask for a medium fade, skin on the bottom, my usual gal would take either a straight razor or a close trimmer to it. This gal just left it as is after hitting it with a zero.Every other time has been great though, even picked up a new product. Always tip well and make sure the gal with the clippers is happy, yall.

The ladies that have been here for awhile absolutely care that you look good when you leave. I went in a couple weeks ago and had a new girl cut my hair. No big deal and I thought she did a good job. One of the other ladies though noticed a few spots she missed that I didnt see and they asked me to sit down in another chair for a touch up. I appreciate that greatly! Our go to place now!

First time visiting MUG today. My appointment was with Becky and she was great. Took me in tight on time, gave me exactly what I requested and had great personality. Price was reasonable and the shop was nice and clean. Definitely happy with my service. Booking online is a plus too rather than a 1st come 1st serve barber shop.

Jasmine is by far the best barber I have been to. I literally cant stop getting compliments on my beard. Jasmine is easy to talk to, knowledgeable, consistent and always makes me look 10x better than I actually am. If you need a haircut or beard trim, go to Jasmine. You will not be disappointed.

Ive gone all over to get haircuts but have never found a better place than MUG the staff is always friendly and personable and tend to all the customers needs! I always ask for Rachel or set up an appointment through her, her warm smile and bright personality is always something to look forward to! She is a very skilled and experienced stylist and has never messed up my hair. The conversations we have are some for the books she makes getting a hair cut fun and enjoyable from the beginning to the end. 5/5 star rating to MUG and a 10/5 start rating to Rachel keep up the good work!

Hands down my favorite place to get my haircut. Ive spent most of my life going to super cuts and great clips. There was a few years I spent going to T&G as well. Loved my stylist there, just couldnt justify the price for a simple mens haircut. Then I found MUG. I love that I can book in advance and choose my stylist. And on that same note, Aimee is awesome! Ive never had someone give me the attention to detail while cutting at a Great Clips or Supercuts. Never had a bad cut there. And you cant complain about the hot towel or straight razor shave after the cut either!

I used to go to barbers all over Phoenix. I mainly stuck with Vs and this barbershop on McClintock and Southern. I found great barbers there. It got hard for me to make time to get to those barbers. One day I tried M.U.G. and had Rachel. She was professional, sweet, listened to my style, and even made suggestions. She shampooed my hair (wasnt expecting it but it was welcome), she cleaned up my beard, and cleaned up my whole look. Ive been going to her ever since. Glad I found her and MUG. I would recommend.and have.

I’ve been coming to MUG for about a year now and will never go anywhere else. Aimee does an amazing job and is always great to talk to while she works her magic. My entire family gets their hair done here. I brought my nephew in for his prom hair cut and shave and he has made this his go to when he needs a clean up. Need more than 5 stars because this place is awesome!!

I used to get my haircut at a typical salon, but since having my hair cut by Racheal, I go no where else. She has always been personable, professional, and I leave 100% satisfied after shes cut my hair. While I get a usual short cut, she is also capable of creating outstanding designs in my hair, which are clean and eye-catching. I would 10/10 recommend this salon and Rachel to any of my male friends.

I absolutely love getting my haircut here. Between the tvs, clean shop, and the easy online booking system MUG is a great place to get a haircut. Above all of that is the staff! With every staff member that has cut my hair, they have always done an amazing job and always been extremely friendly. I started having Rachel cut my hair a few months back and wont let anyone else cut it because of how good of a job she does. Always taking extra time to make sure my hair is cut the right length and always styling my beard the way I want it. Even recommending different styles to shape it. Rachel is an extremely talented hair stylist and always makes the conversation great and genuine. Which is always a huge plus when getting a cut. Elisha at MUG has styled my hair for the last year. I really appreciate the ease of scheduling (always scheduling at the last minute), the relaxed atmosphere, spotless stations and low pressure attitude.I dont go to MUG to make decisions about this or that, Elisha and her team just KNOW what I want. What I want is easy, no pressure, clean, relaxed and quiet...oh yeah, and a great style and fabulous Shiatzu! The Dutch Bros next door is just an added bonus.Keep it up gang!

Rachel, the barberologist has been nothing but professional throughout and has given me the finest and most consistent service I have ever had from any barber. The prices in my opinion are a true reflection of the quality of service provided and are very competitive as compared to many other places in the area. The lady that cut my hair was definitely not paying attention. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She said ok and started trimming. She gave me the complete opposite of what the picture showed, and that isnt an exaggeration. The picture clearly showed that I wanted to keep my bangs. In addition, I told her to keep my bangs. She chopped off my bangs. Like, it couldnt get worse. I had an ugly haircut. I got teased by my friends and I still ocassionally do. This haircut was in August, so it obviously grew out a lot, but I dont recommend this place and I probably wont come back.

Unlike some chains I’ve been to, MUG is just about as close as I can get to a barbershop. The people are friendly and look like normal people without the unnecessary coordinated outfits or overly stimulated themed-environment.Haircut prices are reasonable and it is an efficiently run location.

Disappointing, Just bought a home in the neighborhood, this place is next to my home, so I made a appointment went in and was ignored so I sat down. It looked like all three guys were done with there hair cuts but the ladys were extremely slow and all they did was talk and talk and talked. After 35 min I just walk out. I walked in this place last night after work, the grooming was out of control so I decided to treat myself to the works. Head shave, face shave, beard trim, the works basically. Well, there was two stylists working, only one of them had a client. The young lady at the counter looked me up in the system and asked if I had an appointment. Well, my job demands make it difficult to keep appointments, so when I said no she started to look concerned. When she asked what I wanted done, her response showed a look of disgust that I wanted to drop a $100 with tip in her salon. Take your money elsewhere, find a Vs...find a country clipper...find anywhere because they really dont know how to make a customer feel welcome.
