I have been fishing with Captain Phil for the past four years. Each trip was a great experience. We never came back without fish, even in the most challenging of days. He is truly passionate about what he does and has been fishing these waters his entire life. You would be hard pressed to find a guide with more local experience. Phillip does a great job. We have fished with him 4 different times and each day was extremely productive. He is safe, a nice guy that is easy to get along with, works hard, and puts you on fish. He respects and takes care of the fishery. The boat and equipment are in perfect shape. I would have had great days on the water even without catching fish, but we did catch fish, good size and numbers.

We used to fish with the late Captain Gene Dickson a few times a year and now his son, Captain Philip Dickson, is doing an excellent job of carrying on the family business. Philip has been fishing the Winyah Bay area his whole life and it shows - he knows the waters well and knows how to put his clients on fish regardless of the conditions. Philips equipment (rods, reels, boats, etc.) is in top notch condition and he is highly knowledgeable on the area and clearly passionate about the environment hes fishing in and the fish hes catching. Have been fishing with Philip for the last 5 years. Mostly with my 10 year old daughter but also with my wife and on guys trips. Always a good experience. Always catch quality fish.
