Our A/C went at 6 pm last night. We had used Megees before and liked. So we called the 24/7 emergency service. They got back to us in a timely manor. He came, very nice gentleman and proceeded to open it up to see the outdoor units problem. He explained all the way which we really liked. Fortunately it was a condenser part that he had on his truck and had us up and running andthankfully cool. We were very grateful and appreciated the service after normal working hours.

Megee came and serviced my A/C and cleaned it really good! Price was good too! Braydon was very helpful in answering questions/concerns I had! I was very pleased with Megees service! Will be using their service again for sure! 🙂

Megee isntalled new unit 2017-ish and for some reason used silver duct-tape. I put the 3M 3340 on, but still many problems on main trunk lines and even untapped elbow joints coming off, exposed seems, and no collars on flex duct.

Great service experience. Alan & Logan fully explained what the problem was on why my water heater was leaking. The parts had to be ordered but we’re quick to come out and install once the parts arrived. I’ve also used Megee to repair my furnace and they were great. I would definitely recommend them for any plumbing or heating repairs. The entire staff at Megee have been great to work with.

Two of nicest guys I have interacted with. Professional and went the extra step to protect and clean after cutting out my ceiling because of a plumbing issue. The cost was extremely reasonable. Asked about replacing a toilet and their estimate came in 50% cheaper than another estimate.

Megee has been servicing our hvac for 4 years. One unit finally went after 18 years. We decided to replace both. They quickly ordered and installed both around some rentals we had scheduled.We came down a few weeks later & realized the drain pipe for the condensation was making a banging noise. I called & they sent someone out the same day. Found the issue, secured the pipe & we are good to go.Very friendly from the time they answer the phone until they leave your home. Highly recommend!

Im not very happy with Megee right now I have been out of heat for over a week now , they keep saying they are waiting on the parts when I was told by the tech that they would be here the following day and my heater would be fixed . Any other time Ive had Megee come out to my home they were wonderful.

If I could I would give them no stars for the rip-off of Summer 2019.I called Megee Plumbing because my refrigerant was low or out, this was my first mistake which ended up a costly one and the problem not identified. This by far the was the worse experiences I ever had with a service provider. I have 5 ton unit which requires 9lbs of refrigerant, the technician charges me $290 for a florescent leak detection liquid which sells for $20 on Amazon and only puts 1lb for refrigerant in my 9lbs unit at total cost exceeding $500.00. Obviously the problem wast fixed. I then call a private technician who comes out and uses an actual leak detection monitor to locate the source of the leak!! Bingo!!! It was a bad cap where the technicians hook their hoses up to analyze the refrigerant level/pressure. Dont use this company, like other large or medium companies theyre trained to sell you items to generate revenue at your expense and not fix the problem. They only want to band aid the problem to keep the service calls coming!!! I still have the receipt to prove it!!! Why the review you wonder? Why would you sell me 1lb of refrigerant and $290 florescent leak detection liquid ($20 on Amazon or other sites) knowing 1lb of refrigerant isnt enough!!! Great business motto rip the customer off!!! The only good thing that has come out of this is now i research due to this rip-off. Again I have the receipt to prove it!!!!!!

Weve had a maintenance agreement with Megee for the last year and a half, every technician has been friendly and professional. Recently one of the units in our home had a problem (home is only 3 years old) ** Note** Megee was not the original installer, They promptly came out, diagnosed that the blower on the Bryant unit had failed! Expecting a thousand dollar plus bill for the new motor, they went and checked if there was a remaining warranty and there was! The part was fully covered, no cost for the replacement due to the maintenance contract and life id GOOD!They could of just threw in the new blower and gave us the bill, but they did the right thing and went the extra mile, saving me over a thousand dollars. WELL DONE Megee! Thank you so much for the integrity and professionalism!

I contacted Megee Plumbing & Heating Co to install a garbage disposal, and service my air conditioner, and in the fall I will have them service my furnace. Mcgee Plumbing & Heating Co ranks among the Very Best of the Best and there is no question about that. Their Service Technicians are excellent, the Staff who handles the calls are very professional and so very helpful. I am totally over the moon happy with the service I have received from Megee Plumbing & Heating Co. and I highly recommend them! You cant go wrong and you can go to the bank on that!

No heat condition. Help needed fast. Ryan was dispatched and quickly determined the cause of no heat and corrected it with parts off the van. He also determined that wiring inside the indoor unit had been incorrectly routed & fastened. He corrected that too. I have no worries about quality work when I call Megee.

I was stuck with no heat and an emergency issue on a Saturday! I called and left a message with Megees answering service and got a call back in less than an hour. Megee technician Sean contacted me and was very well versed in my heating need. He was able to talk me through my issues over the phone, had availability to come out and was really nice and helpful. Scheduling the appointment was very easy and the service technician did an excellent job! I do wish the range for the appointment time could be reduced from 4 1/2 to 2 hours.

I accidentally knicked my propane line with a hedge trimmer. I called several propane companies and fireplace companies and no one would repair the line. Fortunately I called Rodger at Megee and they immediately sent out a technician who resolved the problem for a very fair price. I’d highly recommend them.

I wanted to share my experiences with McGee Plumbing....MeGee Plumbing (Georgetown, DE) came out to our home on June 1st 2018 to install a new garbage disposal. Bought the more reasonable contract for $125 that covers 1 kitchen, 3 baths, 1 electric or gas water heater and 1 laundry. I could have paid $65 more that would cover parts which I did not. They came out once on 10/24/18 to fix a leaking faucet. In April that came to fix a clogged drain, said it was fully covered then called office and was told it was not after it was done that it was $$164.97. I paid and called the office and said I was under contract and it was not right, They said they would upgrade the contract by $65.00 and return the rest of the money (the upgrade was only to include parts which none were used) I agreed, figured I would get some of my money back. When I never received I called three times to ask where the new contract is and my refund. No record of them agreeing to this and no return calls. Received a call today from someone who said they would talk to their manager (heard this before). I want people to be aware of the business dealings with this company so it does not happen to them.

We purchased a new A/C and Furnace from Megee. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending this company. Excellent service and value. Highly recommend you give these guys a call.We had three companies come to our house and quote systems. Two of the three had a salesman come out and do a pitch - insisted we sit through a power point presentation .. handed out glossy brochures. UGH just a waste of our time. But when we wanted detailed quotes, with different options not so willing to talk. One company said they quote one system but you have to figure out then and there after the schpeel which setup you want, then give them a deposit before they would quote another. Megee sent an HVAC expert. He talked about the systems they offer, took measurements. Did not waste a moment of our time. Then sent us three *detailed* quotes via email. It was a bit of work I am sure. PERFECT. As it happens I have a friend who co-owns a Trane certified HVAC company in another state. Sent him all the quotes to have a look. Without hesitation he said the only one to consider was Megee. He also recommended a couple changes to the equipment combinations that Megee had quoted. Megee did not hesitate to provide new quotes. Megee it was!Scheduled the installation. The scheduler was very accommodating and courteous. They answered the phone every time I called and had no problem answering my questions. Install team was on time. Gave us a call when they were on the way. Professional. Clean. Job done! One of the best service companies I have ever worked with. We are home owners for over 30 years so weve had our share of service companies.

An employee stole $90 bucks from me and denied it to his boss. This employee was only caught after the police convinced his bosses to hear the recorded calls that he made to me. He completely admitted to it and threatened me several times. I canceled my $1700 job that I had scheduled with them and I will never call them again... Ever. I hope you wont either. Terrible company and very expensive. They only hire trash and thiefs. You have been warned! They will beleive whatever their workers tell them no matter what u say. I was very lucky to have the recorded calls of this cocky guy telling me that he always wins and there is nothing I can do. once they heard the calls they fired that guy and gave me my money but it took a state cop to call them to even listen to the calls. In Delaware it is legal to record people with out their knowledge

They have always been on time to every appointment. They are here for us when we need them. We recommend them to everyone we know.

My wife and I moved to Millsboro a couple years back and have used Megee on a few occasions to have new faucets put in and a toilet installed. Had Alan (AJ) come out each time. Absolutely wonderful experience each time. Prompt, considerate and very personable. Wont use anyone but Megee/AJ at this point. HIGHLY recommend!

As a contractual customer, I expected to receive better service. I called to have McGee repair two water lines and probably leak in a drain line under my mobile home. Although they responded quickly the first time they came out, the plumber reversed the hot/cold line, did not connect the cold line, and did not repair the drain pipe leak. The second time the plumber came out, he hooked the lines up correctly, but still neglected to repaid the leak in the drain line. The pipe with the leak had black tape over it and was quit obvious that this was the location of the problem; the pipe was visible cracked and damaged at the 90 elbow. Called a third time, to repair the original issue, the leaky drain, and they told us that they were going to charge an extra fee since we were calling on a Saturday. This is ridiculous since I should have not been unconvinced more that once in the first place. Any licensed plumber should have picked this up and repaired it the first time. I will not be renewing my contract nor ever contacting or recommending McGee to anyone.

Were summer/weekend people and as others will agree, that creates problems: among them, you dont have an established file of people to call when something breaks. We pulled Megee out of the yellow pages when our heating failed (in January) and we couldnt be happier. Theyve been here twice (second time for the AC) and on both occasions theyve been here as promised, moved quickly, cleaned up perfectly, and fixed the problems. Heating and plumbing people arent cheap. And coming from the DC area, Megee seems like a bargain.

The tech arrived when he said he would and was courteous,clean and professional. I am glad I have the service contract. It saved me a lot of money.

We have a summer place and typically experience a problem on weekends or holidays. Even though we pay a higher price for weekend or holiday work, McGee always resolved the problem immediately. The serviceman are professional, good and helpful. I appreciate the help and service McGee provides.

We really had a great experience with Megee plumbing. A service plan was purchased for only $129. A tech came here promptly was courteous and right on the job. Had a check on all the plumbing a tub drain cleared snd an outdoor shower apparatus changed out for under $200 with a coupon. We supplied the outdoor parts which laid around the house for a year. We were concerned about the poor rating on this site 3.3 out of 5 but we certainly had a 5star experience on a very hot day. 102 degrees with heat index. Dewey Beach owner

I dont understand these negative comments because i was treated with nothing but fairness and integrity. The people who left these comments have to be tourons from MD or D.C. trying to muddy a respectable companys name thats been around since 1936. Theyve been to my residence multiple times and not once have I been treated unfairly or felt ripped off. I commend the technicians for their honesty and hard work.

They only get 1 star because I cant give zero stars. Terrible, terrible experience. Called them in 4 months ago. The person they sent was incompetent and poorly equipped. He made a complete mess of things. Left me with 3 leaks that werent there before, and told me a faucet I had purchased was incompatible with my RO system, when in fact it was compatible and he just didnt know how to fit it. Its taken Megee close to 4 months to fix problems caused by them. I lost access to my kitchen because mold had developed due to one of the leaks caused by them. Ive lost earnings. Ive lost vacation time. Theyve made appointments which Ive taken time off for and then not turned up and not bothered calling. When I call them, no-one knows whats going on and the woman who answers the phone is incredibly rude and unhelpful. They have no concept of customer service. Do yourself a huge favor and dont let Megee into your home. They are a joke.

I had a plumbing leak, called Megee, came out mid afternoon next day, looked at the problem and said sorry, we dont fix plumbing like that, and I will need to collect the $94.00 diagnostic fee.Are you kidding me!?!?!?!?! Youre a plumber, you dont fix plumbing? I didnt need my problem diagnosed I already knew what is was...a plumbing leak!These guys are high $$$ hit and run. This guy was neatly dressed and did not want to get dirty, so he refused the job. Get real!They did agree to not bill me the $94.00, which I had NO intention of paying.Save yourself the time and aggravation and call someone who WORKS for their pay.

Avoid this company. They overcharge for their services and then fail to deduct the diagnostic fee that they claim they will deduct even after you hire them for the service call. The negative reviews on here are spot on regarding this business. Anyone thats as unethical as these people are not really good contractors in the first place and ones too be avoided. The local news would have a great story by setting up a sting by using this company to diagnose and repair an obvious yet relatively simple problem regarding a heating or cooling equipment. One that a licensed technician would purposely create. And then see what Megees service technician would diagnose and the cost of that repair. The States Attorney General should also launch an investigation into this companies business practices in dealing with the general public. If not the Attorney Generals job, then perhaps maybe the local congressman should be informed and get involved. Penalties should be severe and levied if any improprieties are uncovered with this company. In my opinion. Just a good hunch mind you. Anyone investigating this business would hit the jackpot regarding unethical business practices with Megee Plumbing & Heating Co.

They do a great plumbing job.

I had a blockage in the main line leading to the city sewer line. The Megee plumber who came out to look (for a $94 fee) speculated as much, but elected not to investigate. Because the house is old and the line did not have a clean-out installed, he told me that installing one would likely relieve the problem. However, he claimed that he did not have the proper equipment to tackle the job that day. However, rather than offer to come back the following day (or any day) to do the job, he simply referred me to another plumber. This was Megees loss, because I was more than happy to work with someone who wanted to work with me.

Had them check my system to determine how much R22 (freon) was needed to bring it back up to proper operating capacity. Charged me $768 for the test and said theyd be back in a couple weeks to diagnose. After two weeks they diagnosed that I needed a new system. The system is only a year out of warranty, so I asked how much t fix it and they quoted me $4K to install new coil. I still have a contractors license and know the part only cost $900 and installation should only take a couple hours. They quoted me $13, 500 to install 2.5 Ton system with a high Seer rating. Another HVAC company in Delaware quoted about the same amount. So, having a contractors license in the state of DE I called Trane for a quote and the system (heat pump and air handler) cost approximately $3500. They (DE companies) are charging about $10K for a one day install. HVAC techs are not surgeons. Wow!

They came out, and where not able to even do the job not only did I have to pay the 97.00 service fee the guy charged me a half hour of work for 5 minutes of him sticking his hand in a hole looking for joints to install a ceiling fan that they couldnt even install so the whole thing ended up costed me 165.00 for nothing but a waste of time. Would not recommend this company AT ALL!

On Saturday night befor Easter at around 10pm a very talented technician Allen came to our home in North Bethany Beach. We had called because we had no hot water. he diagnosed the problem which was two fold, corrected what he could and got us partially running. I then changed the 60 amp breaker for the adjoining hot water heater the next morning. That tank then worked. With water not getting more than warm we called again and Allen came back on Easter and found a defective part in the newly repaired unit. He replaced it and steaming hot water was agin in the house. Just want to thank Mcgee Plumbing and Allen for helping to make our Easter enjoyable instead of depressing. They are a great company!

I have been using these guys for two years now. They are very professional and their prices are fair.

Bottom line they are not that skilled and very very expensive .at this price I would be expecting a professional technician. I had called and asked to fix my water well since I had no water. They found a leak and patched it. However they failed to fully check my system and wanted to charge $300 and just leave. Likely I know a bit about how wells work and asked them to wait a few minutes since I wanted to check my wells electrical box to see if it was cutting out when full. As suspected my wells electrical box needed to be changed. The box is about $20 at home depot and swaps out fairly easy. Im not pleased that they failed to fully inspect, andif I did not have some knowledge then I would have had major problems. Since my wells electrical box was not working correctly by signalling my well to stop when full, this would have caused my wells motor to burn, causing thousands dollars in repair!!!

They just replaced a faucet in my master bathroom and charged me $296.61 just for the faucet. With labor the job cost me $537.88. I thought there was something special about the faucet since it is a mobile home but I checked online and I could buy them all day for $30.00. We are talking a 900% market on the faucet. There was little I can do about it after the fact .This is a ripoff in anybodys book and I would advise all to be very wary of their pricing.

Quoted $375.00 and ended up @$479.03 for a garbage disposal replace. Google the average price shows $125 plus cost of GDU. Out and out theft....total job was 20 min. They should be ashamed of this scam. Bill McKee

Never honors an appointment window. Never calls as they are supposed to within a half hour of arrival. Tried to gouge me $750 for a service contract on a dual zone system that cost me $23,000 and was installed by them! It was still under manufacturers warranty! Competitor charged me $350! One star is too high!

Do not use these guys unless you want to get grossly overcharged. They are just a bad contractor that charges an obscene amount to fix the simplest problem.

AVOID THIS COMPANY - they charged $100 just to come out. It cost me nearly $400 to repair a leaky faucet. I had no time to call another plumber as we are renting our house next week. And to top it all off the place was a mess when the plumber left. For $400 they should have included a cleaning service.
