Outdoor condenser unit of our newish AC failed in the middle of a warm, humid night. The next day, we called for a service call. We got it scheduled for the same day because we take part in the monthly service plan on the unit. Scott shows up earlier than the window, and, in the pouring rain, determines its the capacitor. Flips out the failed one, flips in the new one, and the charge is zero because were on the service plan and the unit is under warranty and who can beat that? AC back up and running to beat the heat. Scott is The Best HVAC Tech EVER. He does not even pay me to say that. We love him, look forward to seeing him, appreciate his excellent service (soaked in the rain), and should have baked him cookies. Next time! GSM takes the hassle out of HVAC. We took advantage of the free home energy audit due to the age of my home. Tim (Comfort Advisor) nice young man was very knowledgeable and helpful in showing us where our energy leakage was occurring (Attic insulation). He took pictures and explained everything and suggested the best option to remedy the situation he didnt just try to give me a sales pitch, he was honest and trustworthy. The Installation technicians were very nice and professional and clean. The Customer Service team is very polite and helpful. I had such a wonderful experience that I decided to use GSM again because I trust them to replace my ductwork and again Tim was very helpful he again took pictures and discussed our options.

Did diagnostics which was free because Im a new customer (quoted usually $69). Replaced the capacitor and billed me $381 without telling me prior to installation. Way over priced and felt Ive been had. The guy played it nice being a nice guy. Beware of these types of businesses. I thought GSM was reputable based on the reviews. Make sure they give you an estimate first before they do the work. This is not the way to do business.

I received several quotes for the duct replacement, fan box, and exchanger replacement for our house. GSM quote was the middle price. Stephen, the lead installer, was most professional, attuned to the intricate details of how our system should work, and most conscious of completing a perfect job. Stephen’s distinct knowledge of the HVAC system and mechanical code made it a pleasure to work with him. If you are getting a new system, ask to have Stephen install it. I am in the construction industry and Stephen exceeded my expectations. Stephen had more background and understanding of how the system should be installed than the GSM person who quoted the work. The system has been installed for several days and is working well so far.

Very pleased with the service and work that GSM did at our house. We had our HVAC replaced and our attic insulated. I will admit that GSM was not the lowest quote we received, but we were impressed from the start. Jim spent almost 2 hours at our house taking measurements and putting a quote together. He made sure that we understood what would be done and answered all of our questions during this time. He was readily available for a call if we had additional questions and at no time did we feel pressured. After reviewing the quotes we had received and our first impressions of the companies, we decided to go with GSM. As with any job these days, nothing always goes perfect and as planned. I was very pleased with the communication and options presented to move forward when we encountered an issue. All of the workers that were at our house were courteous and respectful of our house and did great work. I also want to give Owen ( team leader ) some kudos for keeping us updated on everything going on, timelines of the work being completed and being available for questions. Regarding the insulation work we had completed, it went very smoothly and the workers that showed up were very nice and explained everything that was being done. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. This was by far the largest investment we have put in our house and wish we would have done this sooner. I have no regrets with the money spent and worked that was completed. GSM did excellent work and I am proud to support our local businesses in Gaston County. We have already seen savings in our monthly power bill and our AC has kept us nice and cool thus far. Very happy customer.

I used GSM Heating and Air to clean out my dryer vent. Logan and Ryan were the guys assigned and they did an excellent job. They called ahead of time to let me know they were on their way and were prompt and very professional. They cleaned out my dryer vent and also upgraded my ductwork that connects to the dryer to a newer model that is more flexible and not as rigid meaning it isn’t as susceptible to tearing. Overall I am very pleased with their quality of work and will definitely use them again.

We live in southwest Charlotte and had 7 different companies quote the replacement of our hvac system. GSM was the last quote and not only the best value, but the estimator was the most professional of the 7. The installation team was polite, hardworking, and did an outstanding job.

Had HVAC installed by GSM in 2018. Works great, but its loud. Customer Service is not good toward existing customers. They promised me a complimentary check up within the first year and conveniently found no record of this. I recently called with a question about my thermostat and they said they would have someone call me. Its been one week and no call back. Once they service you, theyre done with you.

I was working from home on Friday, June 11th. By mid afternoon my thermostat was reading at 82. I called GSM and they said they could have someone there by 4pm the next day. I explained I have 2 small children in the home and Im worried about it being too hot for them through the night. The lady came back and said she would have someone at my home by 6pm that evening. Caleb arrived at my home about 10 mins to 6pm. He was very polite, respectful, and professional. He checked every part of my AC inside and out and advised me how to fix it. He even cleaned my unit and while doing so he got caught out in an afternoon summer storm. I had 2 energetic children running around AND 2 puppies. Caleb managed it all with grace. He answered a lot of my kids WHY questions and didnt get upset when my puppies jumped on him as much as I tried to keep them at bay. After everything was fixed he gave me his card and told me not to hesitate to call if for any reason something went wrong because he would be on-call. He did say with confidence he didnt think anything would come up. He gave me GREAT peace of mind! I am proud to use GSM and happy to recommend their services!

I have been doing business with the GSM Heating / Cooling Company for over a year.I think the GSM Loyalty Program is a Super Money💰💰Saving Maintenance Service thatcost much less than a cup of coffee a day! Inaddition, the last Tech that came out was very professional & knowledge aboutexplaining the condition of my HVAC unit &proactively scheduled the next maintenanceappointment which saved me time out of my busy day to have to call back & re- schedule. He also referred & setup another appointment to send out the air duct team to do a followup since I was concerned about air drafts inside the house. However, I thought that was great advice because nothing is better than exercising process of elimination when dealing with a drafty issue! Yes, I would recommend anyone to use these guys if youre looking for a company that offers Quality Work with Excellent Customer Service & never pressure you to just grab money but let the customer know about their options.😁👍

GSM was really great. An intermittent disappeared when the tech would come out. Diagnostic came up empty so he left and said to call if it happens again. They came back out when it happened again, but it made a liar of me once again. He tested everything under the sun to no avail. He cleaned the drain lines among other things and charged nothing for the revisit. He could have made up something and taken more money from me, but didnt. They seem honest, would recommend.

I was having problems with high humidity in my crawl space. GSM installed a dehumidifier which completely eliminated the problem for a fraction of the price of what others were quoting for a complicated new ATMOX system and redoing my vapor barrier (which in my opinion looked fine). GSM also came out a few months later for a quality control check free of charge. Their staff are professional and on-time.
