Mikayla did an amazing job with my hair! I had previously bleached and box dyed my hair. It was bad and on top of that i had bad split ends. I showed Mikayla what I wanted and she was very helpful explaining everything she was doing to my hair. In the end it was everything I loved and more. I will definitely be going back! Ana is amazing! Did a beautiful cut, color and highlights for a very professional yet modern look on me - after 5 months of not having my hair done and my first time here. She picked perfect shades and highlights are ash blonde as wanted - no brassiness. My college age daughter was so impressed she booked and couldn’t be happier with her cut and highlights (magenta shade) - compliments everywhere she goes! She had a picture and Ana did it 100% accurate - looks fabulous!

Last year during the pandemic my hairstylist I had for years decided to sell her salon and move on. I contact Vanity via FB messenger asking for an appt. Erica Massengill responded and I made an appointment with her. I explained I have long, very thick wavy hair. While I was apprehensive because I’m very picky about my hair and I had the same hair stylist for many years, she assured me she could do it. She is awesome! Listened to what I wanted (cut and color) and came through! I absolutely love my hair and get many compliments on it! She knows what she’s doing and I couldn’t be happier. Please call and book your next appointment with her. You won’t regret it!The ONLY negative are the sinks at the salon. They’re extremely uncomfortable.

My stylist was Charity and she did a fabulous job with my hair and my daughters. We have definitely found our stylist!!

I really love my stylist Jordan and felt the service was great (pre COViD), but upon trying to return post my COVID vaccine was told masks arent required and the stylist will wear them if requested by the customer. I feel that this is irresponsible and was very disappointed that no safety precautions are being put in place for stylist or customers. I wont be returning.

I went to this Salon for the first time tonight, they squeezed me in last minute before closing. I have struggled for YEARS to find a haircut that works well with my crazy curly super thick hair. My stylist was Chelsea and she is absolutely amazing. She asked me what I wanted and gave me her recommendations, my hair is amazing. I used to do box dye but no more. It has been a process to get the color I wanted and I go once a month now to get my roots done and she does such a through job in the coverage. It blends in so good! Would highly recommend Chelsea for color, cut and styles. Finally a hairdresser that listens!

My wife called on oct. 3 2020. and asked about getting her haircut and make up done for our anniversary, but was told no in the rudest way possible. She was told, “we don’t do make up here, if you want make up you have to go somewhere else, that’s on you”, in a rude tone. Who ever answered the phone should work on their customer service skills, or better yet don’t answer the phone at all.

My stylist was Stacy and she was so great! I’ve come to her once to fix a terrible haircut and never stopped coming back just for her! I’ll be here as long as she is there. She is so patient when I bring my two year old daughter with me, super welcoming and always answers my questions and is super easy to be honest with if there’s something particular that I’m being picky about. Ask for Stacy!

If you are looking for a great hair color artist, ask for Mikayla. She is amazing at what she does and is very professional. Also, Vanity Salon is just great in general. Awesome staff, nice environment, and right next to a coffee shop!

Chelsea was amazing! Spent almost 6 hours of her day trying to make sure I was satisfied and recieved what I wanted. She was a cool, down to earth person. We laughed the whole time, and made the overall experience great. She knew exactly what she was doing, and kept me updated the whole way. She took the time to consult on my hair, and gave me amazing suggestions. Its so hard to find an all around amazing hair stylist, but chelsea is it!!

I have been going to Brandi Carroll at Vanity Salon and Color Bar for years. She is truly amazing! I give her very little to no instruction as to what I would like done each time and I am never disappointed. She stays up to date on her training so I feel like she always knows the newest techniques. I also love that she cares about keeping my hair healthy and is careful with my coloring. Brandi is also someone who will treat you like family. She does just the right amount of listening and talking:).I feel so lucky to have someone I can trust to take care of me! I take my 3 year old son to her as well and he just loves getting to see Ms. Brandi:).

I went here quite a while back, and had my hair cut by Crystal. When I made my appointment, I was very specific - I wanted to donate my hair to Wigs for Kids, so I was trying to find a salon that would work with me on this. This organization requires that you donate at least 12 inches of hair, and I had a few inches over this amount that I was willing to cut off. I reminded Crystal of this before we started, but as she was cutting off my braids she said those companies say they need a certain amount, but they dont really mean it. She loosened the braids so much before cutting, that my hair was still past my shoulders after she cut off the braids! They looked way too short to me, but she assured me that it would be fine. She then finished my hair cut to my desired length, which took off many more inches of hair that I wish had been in the braids. After measuring the braids at home, I realized that 3/4 of them were not even 8 inches long. This really pisses me off, since now this hair is useless. I grew my hair out for longer than I planned on specifically so that I could donate to this childrens organization. Now my braids are too short to donate to any wig company.

I have been going to Jenna for about six months now. She has always been very attentive. The last highlights she did for me were great! She even had me come back two days later to add a few more at NO CHARGE! She also does my daughters hair who are 18 and 20 and they have been satisfied customers!

I went in as a walk in looking to get my hair cut short. The ladies in the front were really excited and made me feel comfortable with what I wanted done with my hair. I had very thick and long hair so I was nervous about my hair being cut short. Jennah did amazing with my hair and I love looking at it everyday, even after 3 months! Fortunately, there is plenty of competitors out there so Im quite certain Ill be successful finding another salon.

The first time I went, she spent extra time getting to know my hair and giving me the perfect cut! I left with my hair looking just like the picture I brought in as an example of what I wanted. Jennah is the bomb!!! I got beaded weft extensions done by her and theyre so seamless. You literally cant tell where the extensions start. The color blends beautifully, literally an exact match and we didnt even have to color my hair. The process was quick and painless, took a fraction of the time that it takes with your normal extensions. She walked me through the process, after care, and most importantly making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Checking in to make sure none of the beads were pulling too hard on my natural hair, I love the care and attention to detail. Im obsessed with my hair! I highly recommend going to Jennah for your hair needs, you wont be disappointed!

Charity did a cut and color on my hair... she fixed some brass and orange on top of my hair that I wanted fix. She did EXACTLY what I asked... I was very very pleased! Definitely recommend her!!

I went to Jennah at Vanity salon to get extensions put in my hair. I’ve had extensions a couple of times in the past and Jennah did the best job on them by far. The extensions she recommended were great quality and she did a great job putting them in, as well as dying my hair and styling it. Whenever I need my extensions to be tuned up she’ll have me come right in asap and fix it no charge. I would highly recommend her!

Went in today to get a cut and highlights done as a first time customer and I am not dissappointed!!Crystal was my stylist and I really enjoyed her professional attitude. She was beyond knowledgable about the products used to color my hair and I could tell she was passionate about it.The salon itself was cute and clean. There were clients from all walks of life there today and it is always good to see an establishment with a varied clientele. Men, women, and children!I will 100% be returning to Vanity and would be glad to refer it to any and every one!

The hairstyle I left with is not even close to what I asked for! I was very clear and stated 3 times that I wanted a long bob and that I needed to be able to put my hair in a ponytail, I even showed a picture of exactly what I wanted!! However I walked out with the rachael!! There are so many layers in my hair I dont think any are the same length! My hair wont stay up in a ponytail without a headband and a handful of bobby pins.. I absolutely hate it! Thank goodness the girl at least could do layers right since she put so many in if she hadnt Id have to have my hair shaved off. No way can I get someone to fix it without getting a super short haircut.. so Im stuck with this mess until it grows out. Will never go there again.

Im new to the area & when I left a message with Vanity Salon, I specifically asked for someone with experience since I was getting engagement pictures. I went in a few days before our engagement pictures were to be taken. I had Jenna do highlights and lowlights throughout my hair- as I have always done. She informed me that she was only doing hair for a few months, because she had just graduated from beauty school. That wasnt exactly the experienced hair stylist that I was hoping for.When I walked out, my (what was) blonde hair was pink and my (what was) light brown hair was dark red. I went to someone at another salon the next day to try to get it fixed for that night. We had to cancel our engagement pictures (the photographer, from Pennsylvania traveled here to do them).I called a week later and spoke with the owner of Vanity Salon. I was polite & simply just asked for my money back since I had to get it re-done (they had to dye it way darker than normal). She never called me back.

I wanted something different and let Jennah take over. I couldn’t be happier. She worked with what I had in mind and together we came out with something fabulous!

We moved from Ohio to NC a couple of years ago. I loved my previous stylist/colorist in Ohio and was dreading finding someone to replace her. After 2 years of trying various salons in Raleigh and Garner, I came upon Jennah Ross at Vanity Salon. She did a great job on my long, fine hair. I received full highlights and a cut. I’ve been highlighting my hair for at least 10 years, and Jennah’s color is the best I’ve ever had. You know you’ve struck gold when people begin regularly complimenting your hair. Jennah is both skilled and pleasant. I highly recommend her.

Sometimes getting your hair done is not fun....especially if you are new to an area and don’t know who you should avoid.....This was me 2 years ago. Then, by some stroke of luck I happened on Vanity Salon and landed an appointment with Jennah. Fast forward to today, and I am here to tell you that Jennah makes getting your hair done FUN. She has a great personality and has the ability to put you at ease. I have longer hair, and am at the unfortunate age where I need to disguise my “new” natural color every month or so....and Jennah has tweaked my color to exactly where I had hoped it would be! I am by no means a “hair snob” but I also don’t want to walk into some less than glamorous national chain. Highly recommend giving Jennah a call - do your hair a favor and schedule a visit with her!!!

This review refers to a specific stylist, not Vanity as a whole. My daughter booked Cascea to do hair and make-up for her wedding this October on-site an hour from the salon months ago. She was booked for the bride and a bridesmaid. This stylist cancelled on my dtr 4 weeks in advance of the wedding and isnt providing any replacement. The only option provided my daughter was to come an hour each way to the salon and leave her entire bridal party on their own which was not an option and would have left the one bridesmaid no hair/makeup. The reason for the cancellation? .... She has to coach her younger daughters soccer team and her older daughter has homecoming, though the dance is hours after the appointment. We have not found a replacement yet for this once in a lifetime day .... My dtr is completely stressed with no replacement and the behavior of this stylist was totally unprofessional and inconsiderate. Her only response when approached was her family comes first .... She should have checked her schedule better or at least found a replacement. Buyer beware!
