Thee worst place ever I am a grown woman over the years of getting my nails idk why since COVID these high class nail tech is doing a bad job like the nail never last for a good 3 weeks without sliding off like a regular Walgreens or hair store glued on nail set like really you don’t even have to hit your nail for it to come off it was not even a week when my first nail slid off without hurting and no water from washing my hands will not do this because you take showers multiply times without it coming off these nail techs now are wasting your time and your money so you can come back!!!!!

I like this place and recommend it. The only disappointment is that since they renovated the place, their prices went up a lot. Gel pedicure$40... a little pricey for me

My new favorite place in Gainesville to get my nails done!

This is probably the worst salon I have ever been to in the 4 years I have been getting my nails done. My toes were done fine, but when I got a full set with regular polish I instantly regretted it. I am aware that regular polish takes a while to dry vs gel, but this nail polish took 3 hours to set in, got smashed when I had to out my sandals on and the lady had an attitude when she had to re-polish it and missed spots during the original coats. Around my nails were not cleaned up and it just looks very sloppy. Wont be returning. They only get three stars because at least my toes look good, the nail shape is great, and was not crooked. It was the customer service and nail polish job that was lacking.

Went in for a full set removal. Cut me twice trying to take the gel off and didn’t listen when I told her I had a damage in one of my nails under the acrylics. Nails were still uneven when she finished; as if she didn’t get everything off. She offered to put a color on top when I was done for a little bit more money. The polish was so old it didn’t match the color yellow I picked, and she couldn’t get of it out of the bottle because it was so chunky. She had to add remover to it to thin it out enough to use. And then the application was awful, a middle schooler could have done better. One coat of this bad polish and she was done. It was all over my fingers. When I went to get it removed at a different salon not long after, my nails were severely stained from the yellow. Never going back.

From what i see, Transparent nails are not easy to work with. It’s goopy and sticky when applying it, but my technician control it very well. I love the result, it gives a bit of oomph to your nails compare to normal acrylic

Place was very clean. Manicure and pedicure was wonderful. Eyebrow waxing was professionally done.

I wish I knew the name of the guy who did my nails..he was amazing! I got exactly what I asked for...very polite and held a conversation and made me laugh the entire time. He took his time (even though the store was closing) and made sure I was satisfied with the end result! Will go back for sure.

My friend swears by New York nails and convinced me to try them out for the first time yesterday. I was beyond impressed!! They did an amazing job on my dip manicure and gave me exactly what I was looking for. The shape of my nails is perfect, the color is beautiful, and the woman who did my nails really took her time to make sure they were even and elegant. I’ve definitely found my new favorite nail place in Gainesville and will be returning when it’s time for a fill :)

Mai was sweet and extremely talented! She fit myself and two friends in with no appointment. The environment is clean and welcoming. This will now be my only nail salon I’ll go to!

I just recently went to New York Nails and I was so satisfied. I hadnt found a place here in Gainesville that I could rely on for quality or price but after visiting here, I found my favorite and I know I will be a regular here. Johnny did an amazing job repairing my acrylics and the staff was extremely friendly. Prices were very fair and quality was great. Overall, Im so happy with the results!

I have tried several nail places over the years since moving to Gainesville. And I always walk away disappointed with torn up cuticles. But then my friend recommended New York Nails to me and I was able to get the nail designs that I see on Instagram! I love the staff, and the shop is beautiful. They always have great music too. If you need acrylics, a pedicure, gel or even just a simple mani they will take care of you and make you feel special.

Johnny was great!! Got a mani pedi today for my birthday. Very relaxing and great nails. I got my mani just a buff shine because I always chip nail polish. I have also gotten pedicures by different girls there in the past and it has always been great. It is busy usually but I think that is because they are awesome! And its not too busy to be loud or anything.

Johnny and the entire staff are more than GREAT at what they do. They treat u so respectfully and take pride in their jobs. I refuse to go anywhere else!! I went in with a nail split to the meat, Johnny took amazing care of my situation with ease and it my nails came out flawless!! Definitely deserving of this rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have started going to this nail salon more regularly and have gotten several things done: full sets, fills, and pedicures. I have never been disappointed with any of the staff members that work there. I especially love the manicures with both the young lady and the man that work there. My nails always look naturally shaped and thin, and Ive always gotten compliments on how natural they look. Love how they use hot towels for the pedicures too. Its a very relaxing salon, too!

Walked in for four pedicures, the staff got started immediately. Very sweet ladies, attentive to detail, did just what we requested. Our only complaint is that the gel polish is not true to the sample colors. They did a fine job, but the colors are way off.

Just got a pedicure there, it was amazing! I got the usual soak, scrub, hot towel, massage and toes polished... all for $25, you can’t beat that!!! The wait was a bit long but we came during peak time w/ no appointment so I can’t complain. Definitely recommending, they just got themselves a new customer!

EDIT: The gel polish I had them put on my toes is also lifting and peeling after one week and three days!!! It was recommended to me to be longer lasting - I usually wear regular and it’s extremely rare that I have any chipping and that usually lasts me three whole weeks. $56 down the drain on this place - it SUCKS!!!!!!I have no idea how this place has good reviews after being treated like I was today. I went in to get a gel manicure last Wednesday, because I was leaving on vacation Saturday. One week later - the gel is peeling off of every single one of my nails. Gel manicures last THREE WEEKS at my usual place - no chipping, no lifting. Since I am 15 hours away from home on vacation, I called and requested a refund because I had to spend another $30+ to get my nails re-done while I’m here. The guy who answered the phone told me no, and that I could come in and get them fixed. I told him that’s not possible because I’m five states away and I need to get them fixed right away, to avoid any fungus growing between the lifting gel and my actual nail. He laughed at me and hung up on me. I have never been treated like this in almost ten years of getting my nails done. I am disgusted that I wasted my hard-earned money on this place!!!

I went in for a pink and white set. It was kind of busy but Johnny did an AMAZING job. Perfect length and shape and he took his time and payed attention to details. I will be returning.

The ladies were very sweet. Did everything exactly how I asked and I’m very happy with the results 💕

The girl who did my pedicure did a fantastic job! She paid close attention to the details and my feet look/feel great. Great value! The only reason Im not rating five stars is because they were pretty understaffed for a Friday. They probably should have had at least three to four people on staff for all the customers they were getting.

Mai has been doing my nails for 3 years now. She is the best. The entire staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Best pedicure ever! I was visiting from Jacksonville and I havent found a salon that compares in quality and friendliness! They were so gracious even after I accidently made a mess. I will be back to Gainesville. Looking forward to seeing family and getting my toes and nails done!

I went in 12/30 in the afternoon where the wait wasnt bad and i needed a gel fill on my natural nails. Too make a long story short, they were way too thin and cracked. I will be asking for a refund when open. I had to fix at another establishment because they were closed.

Just got the most reasonable, thorough pedicure I ever had! We went in 45 mins before closing thinking we may be turned away and they were very kind. They didn’t rush and gave us great pedicures!

NY Nails has a return customer right here! I went in today for the first time after debating for weeks wether to go or not after the reviews I read here that didnt fair too well. I went in today, on a Monday around 3 for a fill-in for my acrylic set. I walked in and was greeted immediately and taken after a few minutes by the main male tech. From start to finish he was extremely meticulous, polite. He even noticed that my previous set had so much lifting and suggested removal for precaution and did not charge me for the take-off. The salon is large, and fairly clean. The polish selection isnt that great so be prepared if you dont accustom to bringing your own colors. Luckily I found a beautiful color from Essie that looked great. Give them a chance. Their prices are pretty reasonable too which is a plus considering what I have seen in Gainesville. Give them a try!

I came in to get a gel pedicure. I sat picked my color and 5 minutes later, escorted to my chair. He asked me the temp of water I’d like (LOVED THIS) ran it and let me sit and soak. Turned on the most incredible massage chair I’ve ever came across in my whole 27yrs of life, and let me be. I had a longggggg, hard day at work so to be left unbothered to soak in the hot water and massage chair was EVERYTHING! The lady came and started doing my pedi was so gentle and unrushed it was amazing! I’m literally fighting my sleep it was so wonderful 20/20.

The salon is okay. The women were really nice but the one doing my pedicure was got clipper happy and cut a piece of my skin! Even after 30 minutes it was still bleeding as I left the salon. The pain made the whole experience horrible. She was overly rough with my toes and it was not relaxing at all. The prices were okay. It was 22 dollars for a plain pedicure, but for what it was I am disappointed. I will not go back here.

My sister and I had the WORST ever mani/pedi done a while ago. Before I even left the place my nails had scrapes on them and within 3 days tbe polish and nails were chipped. AND who gives a manicure to a customer while sitting at the pedicure station. OUTRAGEOUS. Never again will i waste my money there!!!! Beware. There are more decent places in the area.

Im very disappointed in this place bern here a couple time but only allowed jhonny to do my nails. Since jhonny was very busy i was given the old lady i believe his wife. Im not sure because she never done my nails. Only had nails on for two days and one come off, need a complete fill. Never will i go there again.
