Imagine your son’s forehead is bleeding from the barbers clippers taking skin off of his forehead And he’s crying because the cuts are so deep it hurts and the experience was so bad.He had an extreme amount of black paint on his Forehead . Come to find out it was put there to cover up a huge cut from the left side of his forehead all the way to the right side. Not cool.His forehead was bleeding 🩸 left a huge scar and was charged $25 never given an apology. We had to spend another $25 to go to a different barbershop to fix this mess and buy some cream for the huge gashes on his forehead from the clippers. Apparently this is what he does there are other people complaining about the same thing.Yes I have pictures.Who was this awesome barber???don’t know his name because he never speaks to youBut he is tall looks like a grandpa in the face he never smiles dark skinned and super bald. Absolutely terrible establishment. Got to the shop at 11:30 am. Left at 1 pm without a haircut. 4 or 5 people went in front of me. I thought Babrbershops were first come first serve? Never going there Again. People have dirty clippers and I’ve gotten bumps from some of the barbers there. Save yourself the trip and go somewhere else

First off, online and on their window says they open at 10am. I got there at 10:30 and no one was there. Called at 5pm to ask how long the wait for a walk-in was and was told to “come in,” the wait was only “20 mins.” I got there at 5:30, no one bothered to communicate anything with me, I just sat there. 30 minutes later, still nothing. Then watch 2 people who came 20 MINUTES AFTER me go before me. Seemed to me like their buddies and regulars got first serve so what’s the point of a walk-in? It’s 6:30, I HAD TO GO AND ASK A BARBER TO DO ME NEXT!! Why?! Like really WHY?! I’ve never been so mad at barbershop.

While appointments are for the best, I had a walk-in, able to sit down while waiting. The barber took in my ideas as best he could. It went along faster without the mask for my particular haircut

I sat patiently for 40 min or so to be decline for what I thought to be next for a hair cut. Before I decided to wait it would had been nice to be told someone was ahead of me. I guess you have to be a buddy to skip line! No apology just “ he can cut your hair as he point to the next barber!” Damn that you just wasted my time. I will not visit nor recommend this place!!! Bad customer service and an unprofessional barber!!!

Went in there and got a cut by Robert. He listened to everything that I wanted and the cut came out super clean. I needed one to propose to my girlfriend yesterday and he gave me that extra confidence with my haircut. The process are up there but you really get what you pay for. I would rather pay an extra $6 for a great cut then settle for a mediocre one. I highly recommend this place and I will be back there

This place does a really great job for men’s haircuts if you want a good cut at a good price - and you don’t want to wait too long.I showed up on Saturday afternoon and they were packed but I signed up on their paper waitlist. They got to me in less than 15 minutes and I received a first rate cut for only $20.Theo was my barber and you can ask for him, but from what I saw all of the barbers in this barber shop were doing a great job. Check them out!

Great barber shop, all of the barbers give great fades and the atmosphere is awesome. Long wait times but it’s worth it for the great haircut you get. There hours are excellent for people on school or people who work late.

No No No! This is the least professional shop of all shops. These reviews must be by people who know them personally or are used to getting basic haircuts from SUperCuts. They will straight up mess your game up. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Not only do they not care about the job being done sharply, but they talk bad about every customer that leaves. They dont care about the little details like (The blend, those hard lines, the scissor cuts, edging the sideburns, etc.) You have to break down every detail as the cut is going on if you dont want to leave jacked up. We should be able to relax during our haircut because thats our time...our own pampering time. Now you know that us men dont like hard lines in our fade and dont like to ask for our sideburns and/or beard to be shaped up, the barber should automatically do it, cleaning us up, and letting us leave looking fresh. Ive been to 3 barbers at Platinum cuts in an emergency and all 3 messed me up. Ive tried to give the shop the benefit of the doubt, but I always have to go home and fix stuff with my own clippers and do my own beard. If you go here, youre going to be getting a $10-12 haircut for $20. Dont pay attention to the sign that says $15...theyre going to charge you $20 anyways. PLATINUM CUTS is all attitude, less fades. Youre a number count, not a customer. If you ever see a sign in front that says $10 happy hour cuts, its all bull! They do not honor it and say that its the owners mistake and that he just puts that to get the people in. The best cuts so far has been at SO SHARP barber shop down the street, go there!

Terrible service asked for a 3,2,1 fade and half an inch off the top and got everything opposite. The barber paid no attention to the work and instead watched a video on his phone while “working” on my hair. Receded my hairline and also cut 6 months of growing my hair out off the top of my head. Would I recommend this place; hell no never go here if you have fine straight hair. I’d highly recommend j’s 503 barber shop. Barbers actually do what they ask💯

Flako cut my two year old sons hair and did an amazing job. He was so kind and patient with him! We waited less than 5 mins to be put in a chair. This is the best fade he’s had and he’s been getting his hair cut since he was 10mths old.

I honestly dont know where some of these reviews are coming from unless theyre just doing it for the free product PC is offering for a review. Took my 3 boys in to get cuts where the sign says kids cut: $10, specialty cut: $20. They got fades and told me thats a specialty cut. What? Are you kidding me? Thats ok, you pulled a fast one on me and I knew it from the beginning. Well the lines in my kids heads shows me what a mediocre place this is! Learn to blend. Nobody wants to see hard lines. You earned about $5, nothing more. And I still tipped your lying behinds bc, me, Im not a bad person. Not to mention the fact that we got skipped over FOUR times while waiting. It shouldnt take almost 2 hours with 8 barbers working. Completely ridiculous. The ones that refused to cut my white kids hair should be ashamed. Yes, I saw you starting at us, trying to make us uncomfortable. I saw the whispers between you and the guy next to you when we walked in. I saw the way you were cheerful to the other customers but not to me or my kids. Yes, I did. But Im not racist and your small mind doesnt phase me. Also, your management should probably work on the sanitation you guys are practicing. Some of us know the laws...With all this said, thank you to Shawn who cut one of my boys hair. He ACTUALLY did a specialty cut ($15) on my VERY tender headed son and did an AMAZING job. He went above and beyond to make my son comfortable and make sure he looked great for school. I cant say enough how much I cared for him, his personality and level of professionalism. You are the MVP of this place!

Terrels attitude was rude from the start i didnt know the name change wasnt sure if this was the right place instead of informing me in a nice way he was rude about it when u google platinum cuts comes up not prime cuts I sat for 20 mins waiting to have Terrel to continue to be rude i see why he only had one person sit in his chair the whole entire time i will never go here again i will continue to go to So Sharp Barber Shop

Two people were getting their hair cut with no one waiting, we walked in and were ignored with no greeting. We actually waited for over an hour and in that time one barber got done with his client but I guess it was his last one and he left. Then someone walked in and we were skipped and still no acknowledgment that were even there. So we left and never looked back. I would not recommend this place nor will I ever go back. To be honest it felt like since we were white they didnt care for us to even be in their shop. Im definitely far from racist and trust me if I was I wouldnt be going to a barbershop with black barbers. I go to barbershops similar to this one all the time in other cities considering we move a lot for work because they know what they are doing cutting hair and usually have killer fades but here in Gainesville its been pretty much the same at all the ones we have tried and we have been to three different ones so far. Its very hard to actually find a good barbershop with good customer service, a clean shop that actually does above subpar work in the Gainesville area. HELP!

Great place to get a cut! I have simons personal cell number and schedule a appointment with him every few weeks and he always gets me in when i need him to. Great fade and everyone is very approachable and does not judge you on the color of your skin like some people say on the other review are full of $h!t. Me personally i like to tell the barber exacually what i want and how i want it they can not read peoples minds and know that you want ur beard lined up if u dont tell them... Some peoples reviews are stupid and do not make sense. Overall its a great local barbershop who care about the customer!

Opens very late sometimes

My son went in to get his hair cut yesterday and they completely cut up his forehead when edging...he said his head was burning last night and today it looks horrible

Will not be going here again the customer service is horrible and they over charge plus dude was acting like he didnt want to cut my hair when i showed him the fade i wanted then he calls me to his chair then complains about he tired charged me 25 dollars for a hair cut that i normally pay 15 for smh just gone stay with my normal barber the only reason i went there is because the place i usually go to was closed that day next time Ill just wait wouldnt recommend this barbershop to anyone

My barber moved away so me and my son was looking for a new barber so tried the mall and found out there Prices different depend on barber or how slow they are one week I got charge $10 for a beard trim the next week different barber I got charge $17 for the same thing so want Price gouging me orvisiting there anymore
