I got a haircut here last Friday. I signed in online and arrived on time, but the stylist took way too long cleaning up after her last customer, which led to me waiting an extra 20 minutes. On top of that, she left the hair on the left side of my head an inch longer than the right side of my head. Feel free to have a laugh at my hair, but learn from my mistake and find a different barber.

Compared to visits at other hair salons/barber shops, my first visit to Sports Clips left a good impression on me. The establishment was clean, the employees tended to customers quickly, and there wasnt much question on the employees experience in the field. Shelby was most welcoming and caring to every customer who entered the shop, professional with her craft, and helpful with every question involving ones hair and scalp.

This place is really good for Haircuts, I’ve been going there for a little bit over 3 years. The deal for me is to find the stylist that can do my hair since not all have the same skills or experience so if you don’t like the haircut I recommend trying a different stylist and you’ll need to stick with that one. I am adding 4 stars instead of 5 because they close one of their locations and this one has a lot of customers with only 2 or 3 stylist it is not quick like it used to be. I recommend this place!

Terrible quality. Use to be a great place to get a haircut. Lately, seems more like a great clips. They pay no attention to detail, rush through the cut, and often close earlier than the hours posted.

Great place for men. For Asian guys and the one has the straight hair like me, I highly recommend you check in with Susan. She is the best hair stylist there.

After all the years of going to Sports Clips in so many different locations, I checked in on the app and as i was walking to the door it they locked the door and said they were closed. If the location stops accepting clients 30mins prior to closing time then that should be noted prior to checking in on the app.

They cut my 6 year old grandchild hair every month. They are patient and do an excellent job on his hair.

Went shortly after opening and there was no wait. My stylist, Nicki if Im remembering correctly, did a wonderful job!

No wonder the wait time is always over 2 hours, the people cutting hair are as slow as molasses and the ones who finish up a haircut are in no rush to start the next one. Ended up just leaving.

Store is super clean. Chill atmosphere. Hector did an amazing job! He was super friendly and it was honestly the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had while getting my hair cut. He’s a great guy, very talented and takes great pride in his work. I’ve gotten nothing but awesome compliments on my hair. Thanks man! I’ll definitely be back.

I checked in like everyone else and waited but when it was clearly time for me to sit down in the chair they were taking they’re time. It was more than enough employees in shop who could’ve taken care of me. It even said it was time to get my hair cut but they’re either taking to each other or they went to the back and didn’t help me in time I sat there for more than 45 minutes waiting and shouldn’t have taken that long. All in all I’ll never go back there again if I got to wait close to an hour to get my hair cut. I should’ve just stuck with the barbershop in the mall way better service.

The price is a bit high for men with short hair. The younger stylists dont seem skilled enough to layer hair properly. I always pick the older, more experienced stylists. They seem to go through a lot of staff since Ive never seen the same stylists each time I go in. Its best to use their app to get into the queue 30 minutes before you plan to arrive. Ask for a few free cut referral cards before you leave. When someone uses one you get a free MVP haircut. The notice painted onto the glass next to the door says, We are Always hiring That gives me the impression they have high turnover of staff, likely due to their pay. I got good haircuts 8 out of 10 visits. But follow my advice above if you want to get a good cut.

Please tip the Stylist in cash we dont get credit card tips until payday.The pandemic is hard on all of us mentally and financally. What makes things even more difficult is is starting work with very little money. The manager had some of us working without filling out out w-4 forms. She interviewed me for a hairstylist position but wanted me to be a receptionist. When I asked what is my job description is she replied, you will work wherever I tell you to in a rude tone! She said she could take me off the schedule until I get my situation handled then lied to her her boss and told them I abandoned the job. She told me I would get only $10 an hour when some of the other stylists get $13.75 and hour. They all cut great hair but the unprofessional behavior is unacceptable in a work environment. They refuse to pay me my one day and the area manager and owner are ignoring me. So please as a customer help the Stylist out and if you have it on you to give them the tip up front it helps with gas, food, and supplies to keep going until payday. They refuse to give me my pay until I fill out the w4 but they had no problem allowing me to work with out it in the system. So all I am asking is to get my 60-to 80 and move one from this nightmare.

Signed in on line like I always do here. Walked in the same time as another client. The other gentleman Sir D never even signed in for a cut. Stylist comes out, signs hom I as Sir D and says hes next. Whats up with that? Why even have online check in if your employees do t use or honor the list? Now I get to sit an additional 20 mins. Merry Christmas.

They never go according to the time checked online not even close. You always have to add at least one hour to the time you get when u check in. Thats also if you got lucky and they didn’t let other people skip you.

Kendra did a great job cutting my hair. I got to The MVP Experience for just the price of the haircut and it is really nice! Hair wash, hot towel, and massage chair. There are a lot of TVs. Went in the late morning so there wasnt a lot of sports on.

Had me drive all the way across Gainesville to get a haircut and beard trimmed. Got there and says I have to have a mask on and they’re not doing beard trimmings, but yet there’s a guy in there without a mask on anyways. Bad first impression and I won’t try it again.

My husband went in to get a haircut and they absolutely destroyed his neck. He not only has cuts and bruising, but it is also swelling. He gets cuts regularly and this NEVER happens. He says its burning and we will be contacting management and corporate about this.

Worst hair cut I’ve ever received in my life. I “checked in” online, arrived on time, and still had to wait an extra 15 minutes! My “stylist” Ashley was very short and rushed through the whole haircut. She didn’t use scissors once the entire cut, just buzzed the whole thing except for the horrible hairline she left me with. My hairline was uneven, and I even had a bald spot on the left side! The fade I received was the worst attempt at a fade I’ve ever seen. I am surprised this place is even in business with how overpriced it is for a horrible haircut. I regret leaving a $5 tip but they practically force you to. I had to go to “So Sharp Barber Studio” a barber shop on 13th st. where I had to ask my guy Raul to fix the mess “Sports Clips” left on my head. I should have went to So Sharp in the first place. Guys, please stay as far away from this shop as you can, for the same price you’re paying here with a tip, you can go to a REAL BARBER and get exactly what you need. Don’t be fooled by the “MVP shampoo and massage”. This place is an unorganized and sloppy joke.

I typically don’t trust chain barbershops that well, but since the location is close to my apartment and I don’t have a personal barber since moving up here, I gave it a shot.Asked for a 5/1 fade, and I got a very nice and fresh 5/1 fade, along with an amazing attitude from a friendly barber (Andre).Definitely recommend this place.

I have been taking my grandson there for over a year and always had good service with friendly staff. Today, however was a different story. The girl was rude and never even ask me what I wanted done. She never ask if I wanted the MVP and so my grandson only got a simple haircut. No shampoo or hot towel. I wont go back there anytime soon.

If there are customers waiting, for a haircut the stylist will do a rush job on your hair or theyre missing out on tips. You have to really watch them, examine your cut and not accept a shoddy job. I definitely would not recommend getting your hair done here that involves any real degree of skill - or time. Because they dont take appointments, you never know how many customers are going to come walking through the door, pressuring your haircutter to hurry up on you.

This is definitely an expensive mens hair cut, but honestly I have left satisfied every time so I keep returning. The stylists are always friendly and social. Try them out.

Although everyone was very nice, this was the worst haircut my son has ever received There was a nick on the back of the ear and I literally had to take him straight home to take a shower because hair was everywhere. The actual cut was inconsistent with weird transitions. I understand everyone has a learning curve, but this was not something we should have paid for, period.

Stopped in for a quick fade while I was on a lunch break from work and was super pleased with the result. I got in and out quickly, and Kendra was fantastic! She gave me the cleanest fade that Ive had and was super nice. Ill definitely be back to see her next time.

I went here when it first open, and won’t say I had a bad experience as the lady who cut my hair wasn’t experienced with my hair type. Afterwards I said I would never come back but today I had to get a hair cut and my barbershop was extremely packed. So I was taking my car to get wash when I seen no one was inside sportclips. So I thought I would give them a try again since I was only get a little hair taken off the top. When I first walked in I was greeted by Andre. She was very nice and professional. After checking in, Andre took care of me. She was very personable and easy going. She strike up conversation when I sat down in chair. When she started I was kinda nervous from my last experience but once she got done the first side, I was put at easy. She cut my hair better than anyone else I’ve been to since I’ve been growing my hair out. Fade was tight and blended perfectly. My over experience was amazing! I will definitely be back and recommending her to all my guest when they are looking for place to get haircut.

If you aren’t going to see Kendra, don’t go. I was in this place, surrounded by a lobby full of people while the two ladies who were working stopped cutting to discuss Tim Tebows hairline. Save yourself an hour and $20 and go literally anywhere else.

Walked in at 5:45ish, no customers in the store, and they told me since they close at 6 they weren’t taking anymore customers. Ok. My haircut takes less than 10 minutes. But I guess I’ll just take my business elsewhere.

A couple years ago a friend gave me a free haircut coupon to this place and even that wasnt even worth it. Barbers seemed like they were unwilling to cut my hair at first. By far the worst haircut ive ever gotten. When I asked the barber how high to cut my sideburns she responded with I cant put hair back there and laughed

They’ve been open for over a year and still the phone # isn’t accurate, and the other location doesn’t have the # either. Either really poor management or ownership. Really want this place to succeed but can’t see this sustaining when you can’t solve a phone issue.

I went to sports clips for a promotional deal, (new customer/free hair cut) and the women there did not cut my hair correctly at all!! I asked for a 3 on the sides and 5 on top.... she decided to just cut my whole head with the size 3. When I asked her why she cut it all with the 3 she said “oh that’s 2 different sizes”. She messed my hair up and then proceeded to lie about it. Terrible service and terrible people! Don’t ever go to the Gainesville, Fl sports clips in butler plaza!

I will give this place two Stars, only because the staff is very friendly. The haircuts are terribly overpriced, and I hate to say this, but they dont do a great job. It seems that it doesnt make any sense to go to a chain Barber Shop, when you can go to local barber shops who do amazing work, and are substantially less expensive. Again, I must emphasize that the staff was very friendly. I do not want this review to be a reflection on their attitudes, simply on the quality of work and the price.

My fiance says it was the best shampoo hes ever had! Will be recommending to others. His haircut is worth every penny. Andre, or Andrea (im not sure which one sorry) was his stylist, and she did a fantastic job. My husband got the side part bald fade with thw shaved part. Im im love with it! No one else could get this haircut just right on him, but she did. Hell be back to see her.

Stylist didnt finish top of head.6. $19 with suggested tip options in percentages. Had to go into another screen to not tip.7. I normally pay $14 at my normal barber and give either a $5 or $6 tip.8. Military with short hair and outline of fade already, not complicated cut.
