I have taken my vehicle here in the past for services needed and they did a great job. The reason for this review is a few months ago I took my vehicle in to get an estimate for repairs. I was in a minor accident and the prior repair shop did a horrible job on the repairs and missed a bunch of other stuff. I needed my steering rack re-centered, and the lower camber bolt swapped because it was on backwards and an alignment. For the services they were going to charge me the full amount of a replacement when the parts did not need to be replaced. The steering rack was new but the shop prior re-centered it wrong, Fisk explained that they would have to fully remove the rack to re-center it and thats why they wanted to charge over $600 dollars. The camber bolt just needed to be flipped in position and they were wanting to charge up to $150 just to take the bolt out, flip it and put it back in. In all it was going to cost me almost $1,000 for repairs. I decided to take it to another professional shop that specializes specifically in alignments and they only charged me $350 for all of the services needed.

I had the misfortune of one of my 2 catalytic converters stolen from my 2019 Tundra. My insurance covered the cost of repairs with a Toyota Dealership. I asked the dealership if they they could secure my catalytic converters to prevent this kind of theft. They said no. They only provided that service for Toyota Prius and another model, but not my Tundra. No one in my area performed this kind of service, but I found you guys on line. Your staff were friendly and helpful. They waited patiently for me as I had to fight rush hour traffic to get to the shop due to my work hours. Harley Wolf was excellent. Took care of me promptly and had the job completed the next day on time as promised. The gentleman working with her was courteous as well. Even though the shop was closing he offered me water and bathroom privileges while I waited for a ride home.I will certainly tell my friends, family or anyone I meet with the same problem to consider you first.You guys turned my lemons into lemonade and I’m greatful.ThanksMike Green

Everyone was very accommodating. Not only was my air conditioning inspected and adjusted so that I now get cold air, but the entire vehicle was inspected and fluids were brought up to standard levels. I also appreciated the ride home and back so I did not have to wait. Thanks Fisk Automotive!

Fisk is my go-to auto shop and has been for the past few years. I come from a family of mechanics and grew up doing my own car repair. These guys are legit, professional, and use good quality parts. Their facilities are clean and well kept, including the waiting lounge.They are really good about notifying what work needs to be done before starting it and always ask for approval before they begin the job. Theyre also good about informing the customer approximately how long the job will take.

I requested a Pre-Purchase Inspection and received a same day appointment. The service provided was thorough and provided a comprehensive picture of the vehicle’s condition. The young lady who served my request (Haley…not sure of the spelling) represented Fisk Automotive in a most professional way. She is an asset to the organization.

Their repairs are performed by quality professional technicians that know what they are doing. All issues that are suspect, are mentioned in a report, that you choose to approve or not. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Don’t buy cheap and weep, go to the best of the best, and get what you pay for.

I got a pre purchase inspection. Jim took very well care of us and patiently answered all my questions about the vehicle we wanted to buy. They did a very thorough job and sent an email as a follow-up to the phone call with pictures and description of mechanical shape of the car. Highly recommend!

Not professional. customer service also needs huge make over.Update: 11/11/20My expectation wasnt all that high. Just didnt expect an attitude and to play stare with the front office worker for asking about the status of the job being done to my vehicle. Only for my vehicle to come out later then the time frame initially quoted.Also, my vehicle was done and came out to the front and I find out the service light was not reset. When asked, the same guy who wanted to play stare with me told me that he is going to have to take the car back to reset the lighting but sadly, he did not know how to release the brakes on my vehicle....up to that point, I understand. I mean sure, you could work for a automotive shop and not know how to drive stick shift or function brake releases on certain type of vehicles (lol) but when he starts to get upset and demand the customer to let him know how to release it is just damn too unprofessional.After letting him know that I dont feel comfortable to have someone not know how to function the vehicle and drive it, they had a technician from the back take the vehicle and bring it back after they reset the service light which took an additional 20 minutes.All in all, this place is just bad business. Had a chance to read over some reviews of this place and it looks like they are taking advantage of customers in the nice neighborhood of Fullerton. Just because the owner responses to the negative comments in a rhetorical manner, it doesnt make Fisk Automotive look any better.My 2 cents is for you guys to spend less time with the comments and focus more on the much needed customer service training if you guys want to stay in business around here.

HONEST!!! The ending bill was over 400 vucks less than they estimated. Some parts didnt need to be replaced. Alot of places would still charge you for the whole amount and say they changed everything that was included in the estimate. Will definitely go back and you should too!

We have been bringing our last 4 cars here since 2011. We lived in both Riverside and Moreno Valley, since then and as long as the car was still drivable and or just for maintenance, we always brought it back to FISK. They are honest and always try their best to help you out in a pinch. We had just bought a new to us car last July and they did a front to back inspection. They gave us a list of just normal wear and tear items that our new care needed. Needless to say it was too much all at once, so they where honest in what the order of importance was to make sure we werent driving unsafely, and allowed us to slowly work on things over time! I always know that if they fix something its fixed. On the rare chance that it isnt they also have a warranty on their parts so you can bring it back and know that they will take care of you. I have never found a more honest, trustworthy, and friendly garage. The day we can no longer bring our cars to FISK, I dont know what Ill do!

My 91 Jeep Cherokee died on the freeway. AAA recommended this shop and I had read about them. I normally do my own work, but I was stressed and wanted a professional to take a look at it. AAA took my Jeep to their shop. On the way I called, as they were about to call me. I was informed my vehicle is outside, in age, of what they work on due to parts availability, but they said they were willing to take a look and point me in the right direction. The system they use to track and quote is very modern and works really well. Based on the conversations we had during the work, they did everything they could and kew what they were doing. I was thrilled when I got the call that they found AND resolved the issue. Their service and professionalism throughout the experience was beyond what I expected and is greatly appreciated. Went today for coolant system check...i was quoted the amt of $1222 to replace Radiator..hoses..and thermostat..Wayyyyy too expensive..i got another quote for 800. ...Needless to say. Wont be back here

Night drop off on our broken down (newly purchased) Xterra. Love the software they use for the shop. Fisk diagnosed several issues; distributor, valve cover and the obligatory oil change. Sent a summary electronically that I could link, view (Pics) and approve . Process was very smooth, professional and easy. Of course, I wish it were free 😀

The only issue we had was we did an on line appointment and never did receive a confirmation that the appointment was valid. We had to end up calling the morning of the appointment date to find out if we should come in or not. A waning light came on the car and it was determined that the manifold intake had to be removed and replaced. We did not expect the cost to be so much, but we did not really have a choice since it was already at the shop and with the Covid19 didnt want to be running around getting estimates. This was our first time to Fisk and the service was very good.

They diagnosed the problem and kept me updated with photos of the damage. They were very nice and actually managed to minimize the amount of work I had to get done. The pricing was straightforward and Fair. I will definitely take my car to them again

After visiting a more popular auto repair shop, several times, and have nothing but poor experiences, I came to Fisk hoping they could fix the mess I was in. And boy did they deliver! Nothing but nice and professional employees work here and they listened to my problems and helped me understand what was ACTUALLY wrong with my car. I will definitely continue to come here for my car needs.

AAA recommenced this shop for an annual checkup including oil change. Was under $40 which is way cheaper than Instalube. I was impressed with their people, their office and shop space, and the fact that they are fully up on technology and can update you via text and email.

Jack is great, honest team there. I have taken my cars to his shop for about 10 years, (when they were at old location). I drive from Long Beach, because once you have an honest mechanic, it is worth the drive.

Went in for clutch replacement, payed them 75 to “diagnose” my car a.k.a drive it to a different spot in the parking lot and they told me something I already knew. Told me the job would cost 2,025 - 2,500+. Called another shop up and they said they’d do the same exact job for 1,600. Saved myself lots of money. Their place is really clean though and they have complimentary coffee and water bottles.*update*In response to the respond to my review, I was quoted $2,000 for the job(shown on a tablet) and verbally your employee Freddy told me it might even go up to $2025-$2500. I appreciate the refund on my “diagnosis” and I will be sure to email you my receipt as proof of the lower cost at another shop.

I appreciate that Fisk was initially able to match the Honda shop price for parts and labor. The job was done well, although it took four days to complete (had a lock mechanism in my Honda fit door replaced).At many places if the job is authorized, the initial inspection fee is applied to labor cost. Because Fisk was not able to apply the initial inspection fee to the cost of the job, it wound up costing about $100 more than Hondas price. I couldnt recommend Fisk to others for the future repairs unless they either apply the inspection fee to the labor of the job, or verbally disclose this before having people sign.

First time customer, all the advisors were very helpful and quick to respond. Will definitely be a return customer.

I have been trying to get my car fixed for a smog check for so long now, and I went to two separate places prior to Fisk. The staff was very professional and accommodating. They are upfront about their prices and have you approve it before paying. Honestly, they did such a great job and Im grateful I can finally have the issues with my car fixed!

In searching for a new mechanic, I located Fisk through AAA-approved auto repair facilities. Fisk Automotive was excellent. They evaluated my car, provided photos and explanations of problem areas, and gave an estimate for the repairs. The facility was super clean. Jesse was professional and a great communicator. A great experience from start to finish.

Weird that the owner tells me he answered my comment on google but i cannot find it. SENIOS/VETERANS DO NOT GO HERE. They took my money, $182, and did not really do the diagnostic on my car. I was just told that they cannot fix my car and come piclk it up. The man was rude. i should have followed my instinct and not gone there. I dont mind paying diagnostic fees but i noticed some paid $75 and i was charged $182. I only needed to get 02 sensor or some such to pass smog. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I guess this will go away too so im posting everywhere. BEWARE.June 11, 2020, Repost after owners reply. I only wanted yhe check engine light looked into so i could pass a smog check. Obviously neither you nor the counter person (a man, the young lady was nice). You want me to drop this and do something else like i have nothing else to do but tear down your budiness but here is the rub - i only wanted an apology and that you would look into it. I would like a copy of the diagnostic i paid for and it should not be just visual. Horrible customer service.

I was looking for an alternative to the dealership for automotive repairs and Fisk was local, so I walked in and explained what I was looking for and why I was there. Jack was honest from the get go and explained he isnt necessarily the cheapest in town but hell always give an honest answer and do good work. Based on that answer, I decided to give Fisk a try. From an automotive repair standpoint, one of the best choices Ive made. They let you know what needs to be done, what the cost will be and what repairs could wait if you need to hold off on that repair for whatever reason. From owner to staff to technicians, Fisk is great a great place for vehicle maintenance and I would and do recommend them to family, friends and strangers alike.

I needed a quick checkup of a used car I was thinking of buying, but I lived an hour away from the dealer. I asked Fisk Automotive if they could help me out; they handled everything. Extremely easy for me, at a very reasonable charge, and every contact I had with the garage was cheerful and efficient. They said the car was a good deal, I bought it, and I havent had a moment of regret. I highly recommend these guys.

I was very impressed with the Fisk Automotive’s professionalism. They were friendly and thorough with their inspections, and with how they communicated. I received a link that showed me a detailed explanation of what was wrong with my car, with pictures. In my case, my car was too far gone to be repaired and they told me so rather than encourage me to make some unnecessary repairs just to make money. This instilled a sense of trust that will bring me back without hesitation.

A free 40-point AAA inspection was performed on my 2000 Toyota Camry. Quick, efficient, knowledgeable. Very clean, neat, attractive facility. The only minor drawback was a $65 quote to do an oil change. Otherwise they were polite and professional.

I took my car to a dealer who, after four days told me I had a blown head gasket and block failure and likely needed a new engine for $4700.00.We drove the car to Fisk Automotive for a second opinion. Within four hours they diagnosed the problem. Both electric radiator fans were inoperative causing the engine to overheat and expel most of the antifreeze. They replaced the fans, thermostat and added new antifreeze. They checked the engine and found no issues with the block or head gaskets.Drove home after the repair and couldn’t be more pleased and relieved. They earned our future business for sure. I recommend them highly!!

Ive been taking our vehicles to Fisk for years. Whether for a routine oil change or some specific problem, they always give the car a once-over to ensure that its road-worthy. I like to take road trips, and the last thing I want to worry about on vacation is being broken down on some Interstate somewhere. Theyre a little pricey, but Im more than willing to pay for that peace of mind. Plus, theyre nice folks, and I like doing business with nice folks.
