EDGE Motorworks installed the Bimmertech NBT EVO ID5/ID6 Navigation System Retrofit in my 2012 650i. I am very pleased with their work. The installation looks like it came from the factory and works perfectly! Derek was very courteous and patiently answered my questions about the installation and some issues found during their included inspection. I highly recommend EDGE Motorworks.

These guys are absolutely awesome. I took my rickety old E9 in not really knowing what it needed, and they returned to me a very solid and tight driver. I got in and drove 200 miles home without a concern. I was smiling the whole way. Anthony and Angelo were fantastic and great communicators. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Anthony and his team are one of the best racing services in the Bay Area, if not the best one. I heard from a good friend about Anthony how professional, honest and passionate he is about his work. Once I met him and started hiring his coaching services and taking care of my car at his shop, it was just a reaffirmation of all of the above. Looking forward to working with Anthony and his team for many years to come.

Edge is good people. At the track, they’re as generous with their tools and shade as they are with their advice and expertise. When discussing a change or repair, they spend more time listening than talking. They ask a lot of questions and seem genuinely interested in understanding and meeting my expectations.Like many of their customers, Edge is highly involved in motorsport; that’s key because their recommendations come from actual experience. That means I get access to real knowledge and I don’t have to spend hours weeding through forums about what works and what doesn’t. In that regard, Edge is more actually like a support crew than a repair shop. I appreciate that. I trust them and I like them. If you’ve got a BMW, you’d be silly not to check this shop out.

EDGE Motorworks is one of the most knowledgeable and professional autosport shops I have worked with. Tony and his team provided me with valuable information about how to proceed with my car repair and track day setup options. They specialize in BMW, Porsche, and Subaru, but they took a good deal of time consulting me regarding my Mazda Miata. Everyone is super friendly and their success with their own SCCA activities just reinforces their credibility.

They really know what they are doing, but their prices are somewhat high. Sometimes I do not want to spend $7k for maintenance of a car that is worth $10k, but if I did, I would definitely bring it here. They were awesome when my previous car was totaled and worked with me and the insurance company throughout the process.I take my car to some other places instead to get some of the easier work done, but if its complex, there are few other shops I would trust.

Edge Motorworks did an excellent job on welding my driver rear shock tower on my 1999 BMW M3. The turn around time on my car was insane, dropped my car off Monday and they had it done by Tuesday. There is no other shop I would trust to work on my car. No one else really knows these cars inside and out like Edge does. I could not be any happier with work the did. I will definitely be refer all my friends and family to Edge.

Had a good experience at first everyone overall was pretty nice and accommodating, I didnt mind paying a little bit extra for the ease of mind that my car would be properly taken care of. Less than a year I had already spent probably close to 20k just on maintenance and fixing my car up. But when it came time for them to reinforce my subframe, I had asked to install the reddish kit. They had told me that it would not be a problem and that they had some in stock so I went ahead and schedule it to be done. I had called maybe 2-3x to insure that they were going to install the reddish kit which they would say yes. The day I picked it up, I even asked again to insure that it was the reddish kit which they assured me that it was. A few days later I received a call to inform me that they actually had not installed the reddish kit but the turner kit. I was in disbelief and was shocked as I had asked multiple times and even on the day I had picked up my car. I was just in disbelief that they could lie to me and then try to say that they never said that they had the reddish kit and they never even heard of it, though I had emails as well as my dad there who also heard everything. I dont doubt they are great track drivers and skillful mechanics but lying and then denying it and trying to turn it on me was just to much after all the business I had brought to them in less than a year. This was just my experience but I hope they dont do something like this to anyone else

I have a manual BMW e46. I took it to EDGE and they recommended about 8K in repairs. They also, seemingly jokingly, said that they would be interested in buying it since it will cost as much to repair it as it is worth. Long story short, I go to a different mechanic and gave them the list of repairs that was given to me by EDGE. I ended up paying 2.5K and they said that all of the other issues were not an issue for the next couple of years. I highly recommend that you get an alternative opinion that the item should be replaced from a different mechanic before proceeding. This is not a comment on their mechanic skills, but rather on how they do business - I do not appreciate their approach.

Not sure why anyone would take their BMW anywhere else. I have had many BMWs over the years and been to many shops. Edge is by far the most straight-forward and honest that I have dealt with. Couple of recent stories where Edge saved me a lot of money. I own a 98 318ti and a 97 318i. Old cars that I do not want to spend excess money on. Just need them running nice and safe.1) The 318ti automatic transmission six months ago would not shift smoothly. Since it was a transmission, I took it to a trans specialist. They wanted to drop and rebuild the transmission/torque converter for a bunch of money. Car is only worth $3K. I took the car to Edge and after a couple hours, they diagnosed it as a bad catalytic converter. Apparently, they found the cat had disintegrated from the inside and was blocked. Engine could not breath and rev properly and was not giving the correct signal to the transmission to shift. Since it was an old car, and a new BMW cat was really expensive, they recommended an aftermarket 50 state C.A.R.B. legal cat for less than half. Installed it and the car runs great now.2) The 318i recently would not pass smog. The smog shop that I took it to thought it was definitely the catalytic converter and needed a new one. Made sense to me as I just replaced the cat on the 318ti with similar mileage. Before I did anything further, I took the car to Edge. After 1 hour of diagnosis, they found a vacuum leak, replaced a seal and the car passed smog with flying colors.I see a few reviews stating that Edge is high priced but we own BMWs and the two examples above are why you want to pay the experts at Edge to take care of your cars. Thanks Edge for saving me a ton of cash.
