Great hair cuts, environment is not always kid friendly... but they state that on the door and are up front about that. But they take pride in their cuts and the price is better than other high quality cuts around the area. If you want to get a consistent cut you will need to go regularly so they remember you.

The barbers here always keep me looking my best (at least as much as possible!), And their prices are very competitive. Call ahead for an appointment as they get pretty full very quickly.

The local go to place for a great haircut. Everyone is easy going, fun to talk to so plenty of great conversations. They take their time with you, never feel rushed.

Hair had grown to about 7 to 8 inches during the Pandemic. I was shaggy all over but I finally went and got it cut for the first time yesterday. Julie has always taken care of me and I went in with a reference picture for a slick texturized mowhawk for her. She absolutely killed it! Every time I leave The Stache I look damn good! Dont waste your time going anywhere else.

I will not go anywhere else. When I first moved to VA, I tried for quite some time to find a barber that knew how to do anything beyond your basic fade, military haircut. The people at the Stache are not only great people who make it a fantastic experience, but also are some of the most skilled barbers I have ever been around. Very highly recommend.

Absolutely awesome barber shop! Im one who typically cuts my own hair due. I was traveling and found great reviews on this place. Once I stopped in, I immediately saw why. High quality cuts. My barber gave me suggestions and I received my first straight razor shave. Needless to say, if I come through Fredericksburg in the future, I will make sure to swing through. Awesome experience. The only downfall is that I waited around 45 minutes due to it being busy and I was a walk-in. Totally no issues with that given the service I received. Thanks!!!!

Ive been going to these guys twice a month for 3 months now. Happy to wait an hour or more for a cut. Cant deny they do great work. But I will NEVER come again after what just happened. I waited patiently for my turn, as usual, knowing I was pressed for time. I had a 12:30 appointment and I told myself Id wait until 11:30 to try to get in a chair. 11:30 rolls around and the chair opens up right on time. It was the red haired lady, dont know her name. She walks to the back of the shop and I ask the gentlemen who had just walked in 5 minutes prior if he had an appointment with her. He said no and I think Ill be asked to sit down. She skips me and asks him to have a seat! I say No, its my turn and she straight up lies to me and says He had an appointment. I tell her no he doesnt because I just asked him the same question and she says I always cut his hair. You can wait for the next opening. Well... Needless to say I let them know how I felt about their willingness to lie to customers faces. Never again.

Awesome barbershop with a fun design and theme. I had Julie and she was awesome! I dont like to talk a lot during my hair cuts and she obliged, I showed her a few photos for reference and she did an awesome job! Straight razor shave was great, hot towels were a nice touch and her beard trim and styling were great as well. Will definitely return and recommend to friends!

The guy that works here is pretty good. Been 2 times so far and its also really reasonably priced. I get my beard done up and my split ends taken off. Cant beat $15 for a cut, trim and hot towel.Only con so far: There is a lady that has the front chair. She brings her parrot to work. I dont know in what reality a parrot is anything less than awful sounding, but its actually not as loud as the lady that owns it. She also likes going on strange woke rants.I just take my ray-cons in now. No noise, no problems.

Without question, one of the very best places to be. Conversation flows readily from the people working here, and once you become a regular, there is. O gong anywhere else. Lindsay is the only person who can cut my autistic son’s hair. She has been dedicated to not letting us give up on him, and she cuts his hair PERFECTLY, every time. I’m not sure why I’ve read reviews commenting on Griffin. That bird is awesome and you’re lucky to get a haircut and beard trim in his presence. Every since moving to Virginia I’ve never gotten my haircut at the same barbershop more than once, I always find something that makes me not go back. NOT HERE. Every barber is awesome, your hair and beards will be on point. Trust me. You may have to wait a bit but I assure you that it is worth it. Stop complaining about the bird, you’re embarrassing yourself.

Lindsay does a great job on my husband and son’s hair. My son is on the autism spectrum and used to cry when getting his hair cut, but Lindsay has been so kind and accommodating that now there are no more tears! The best barber shop!!

If youre the type of man who is particular about your hair and or beard youve found the only place youll ever get your hair or beard cut again! I always get very excited when I know its time for a cut and shave because I know the caliber of cut Im going to get at Stache. Lindsay is the owner, and is very friendly to customers. When she cuts my hair or beard I have no worries about how it will turn out. Ive had my hair cut by George also, and it turned out just as nice. If youre looking to get rid of the Santa beard, they are pretty much the only people I trust to shape and trim my beard. They are all very good with a straight razor which makes the final touch of the beard look fantastic. I definitely recommend this place. You wont be disappointed.

One of the best barbershops around worth any drive. Any barber can cut your hair they are all great. They treat there customers amazing, and you can get a good conversation with your barber or sit in silence listening to the great music they have playing.

I’ve never had a bad haircut in the shop, and the barbers are very friendly and easy-going. The owner, Lindsay, is absolutely hilarious and cuts hair better than any barber out there. It’s nice to go into a business where you’re treated like a friend and where your hair needs are taken care of with such attention to detail. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

I don’t trust many places with my beard. I was completely satisfied with the trim they gave my beard. Julie did a wonderful job and my beard looks the best I’ve ever seen it. Oh and she also got my hair looking fresh as hell. Definitely going back when I need a trim.

I go to get my beard trimmed and have not had a bad experience. I have used 4 different Barbers and they have all been professional. There are no prices listed so I have noticed that depending on who you get sometimes what you pay varies.

The Stache is amazing! There is always good conversation, good music, and the best cuts. If you’re lucky, a beautiful bird named Griffin will be there to talk to you!

Update: Based upon Owners response, I will be going elsewhere. Great cuts so I am not dropping to one star, but I shouldnt have to be rude when the barber asks someone else to come to their chair when I clearly began to stand up within view, before that. I dont need mind-readers, but do expect courtesy - if not in the moment, then in replying to my concern stated here.I want to love this place, but as a female I was overlooked and had to draw attention to the fact that I wanted a haircut, and was not Just keeping my bf company while he got his cut. Bad assumption that made me feel invisible and embarrassed that Id have to Ask for a haircut, when I had clearly been waiting past the time my bf got his done. For the record, my sides are shaved and I had my long hair pulled up, so that was another visual cue. One of the barbers was sharper, though, so he spoke up before it got to the point that I was going to just leave rather than speak up as the sole female customer (he saw me lean forward to go next, and recognized Id been there a while). Very awkward, and my bf felt super bad hed let me push him to get his done first. If I go back, I will call and see about setting an appointment - hopefully that will go more smoothly.

This is the same score I gave in Facebook during a previous visit. Based on this visit, my opinion has not changed. I got a fantastic straight-razor shave; got my goat-t shaped up and trimmed and some additional must-needed grooming. There are lot of imitators out there and I cannot afford to take a chance with my looks. So why risk it? I went to what I consider the best barber shop in the region and they took very good care of me. This is not your traditional barber shop. It is a very innovative concept with an owner who has some serious skills. I do honestly believe she has the best crew too. In fact, each of the barbers in this place are in the “A” category…all with their unique personality but same outstanding service. Once again, whether you are a kid or a college student or some professional whether from Richmond all the way to D.C. (regardless of your profession or lack off), they will groom you to a very high-standard. And more importantly you will be very happy: looks and attitude = winning.Worth Noting: Due to my job, I am not into haircut designs or fades or big into beards…but if you are into that cool stuff…trust me this is certainly the place for you too. Like any real barber shop, The Stache has the appropriate expertise to do this too based on what I have witnessed.

Easily the best barbershop in town. Reasonable prices for a very high quality cut. Expect to pay 20 bucks for a mens cut, worth every dollar. They offer extras such as straight razor shaves. There will almost assuredly be a wait, they dont take appointments, its first come first served.

Love this place, the staff are always on point, their know their stuff. I was disappointed my last visit when I was charged $25 for my sons haircut, he got sides lined up and thin on the top. Little over priced considering his old barber charges $12. My beard cut was $15, and he did awesome job as he did before.

I have been here twice now and both times the experience was great. Today Brandon took care of me. Cut was great and professionalism was outstanding. Taking appointments would be nice but I’ll still only come here now and have no problem waiting.

Its always friendly here without feeling fake. Everyone is genuinely happy to cut your hair and it shows in their work. I wouldnt trust my hair and beard to anyone else.Edit : this place is getting more popular but is criminally understaffed. I like the atmosphere and quality of jobs performed, but its getting harder to fit a 2 hour wait into my schedule. Sunday morning at 10:02 there are 9 people in line with two barbers.

Great place. They do take appointments if the wait is not what you want.The chairs are a little uncomfortable but I believe a renovation is in the works. Still, what matters is the quality of services. I went in for a cut and beard shape. I explained that Im okay with a trim or if she, Julie, had an idea about what might work, go for it. I left satisfied.Since I left my last review, Ive been two more times and had trim and shape by two other barbers. Ive been satisfied with the service but the wait is quite long if you go during a peak time- like 3pm on a week day. Think it might have been the day before Thanksgiving so go figure. Recently the renovation was completed so Im heading over today for a trim and to check it out.

UPDATE: I sent a Facebook message to Stache, and received a prompt response from the barbershop’s owner, apologizing for what happened (described below), that the owner called the shop because she was upset about my experience. I was also offered a free cut… I think that’s the type of customer service she is trying to achieve at the shop. I was not looking for anything free, but, because of the response, I may give them another try.I’ve been coming here for a while because I find a barbershop I like, and tend to stick with them. I drive over an hour to get here, and can only make it on the weekends. I show up on a Saturday (hours are 9:00-3:30) at 2:50, and I was turned away. A lady inside said they already took their last customer, and told me how sorry she was and “we’ve had a long week.” I too have had a long week, but I still managed to drive over an hour to be turned away. Not good customer service, and I’m extremely disappointing.

The barbering is good, but the place is kind of trashy. If you dont mind sitting on worn out couches surrounded by grungy wood pallets while waiting your turn, then its ok.

I have gone here twice. I enjoyed my first visit very much and give it 5 stars (Gabe cut my hair). I was not as impressed with my second visit. It was not terrible but I did not like my haircut as much with a different barber. The hairs near the top of the fade are too long which make it more difficult to style. I will definitely go back but will wait for Gabe.

Love these barbers. They are funny and accommodating. Pay attention to the sign on the door that says explicit conversations can and do happen. If you are taking kids in there be aware and know its going to happen. Military and law enforcement friendly and discounts available.

Sat for an hour and was the last one when the lady went in the back for 20 minutes then came out and sat the person who walked in down. Highly upset. But Lindsey the owner is an awesome lady and has a great shop.

Hands down best barber shop I have ever been to! I wish I can give this more than five stars. If youre the type of person who likes to get disconnected undercuts and/or fades(which I personally do both), I prefer you to go to this shop. Place is clean and dope, and lots of chill vibes as well. Barbers there know how to cut firey and crispy cuts! I wish I can rate this a billion of times to be honest. This doesnt deserve a 4.7 rating, deserves way more than that!!

Let me start off by saying I got a great haircut here. The barber really takes their time, and uses some old school techniques. After your cut, you get a straight razor shape up, followed by some bay rum aftershave and a hot towel. This is what I love to see at a barbershop, and other shops should take note.Now, why I rated this shop 3 stars you ask? Mainly vulgarity. I am not accustomed to my barber cursing like a sailor while Im in the chair. Even with kids in the shop. It is poor business practice to drop the F word several times during a conversation. Bedside manor is where the shop lacks. I also think it could have been a bit more tidy, but its understandable depending on customer volume.

Been searching for a good consistent haircut in the area for a while now. My little guy and I rolled in to try out. Albeit risky being a holiday haircut, it had to be done (12/2015).We walked in to a very welcoming person at the front desk. The barbershop/salon is a bit bare, but fine. Clean. Minimal. With that said I dont care seeing I am there for a hair cut and not a decorating class. But to some it matters.Anyway, Julie (blonde, shoulder length hair) hooked up my son and I with great haircuts. She was super nice. Considerate of how my wife might want it cut (because I dont care as much as a mom). She was extremely easy going cutting a 3 year olds mop. 5 star cut.I was next. Being an I dont care you are the expert kind of guy, she figured it out and gave me one of the best cuts I have had in 10 years. No hair down the neck. No random hairs. Great job. 5 star cut.So why just 4 stars? Waiting to see if it can be a repeat experience. I will update.

Went in here today (15 Aug. 2015) looking like a shaggy, homeless amish dude and gave Chelsea (sorry if I spelled it wrong!!) the most generic description of what I wanted done, which was a haircut and a beard trim, and she blew me away! She was very friendly and easy to talk to and took her time to do a good job... needless to say, she made me look incredible even with my impossible hair patterns.The shop as a whole had a very down to earth vibe and definitely had the type of banter you would expect to hear in a barber shop which I love, it just makes the whole experience more comfortable and gives a few laughs in the process. The staff did tone it down when younger people came in, out of respect, which was also very cool.I would highly recommend this place to any and all whether you have a beard needed to be trimmed, just need a haircut, or as in my case, both! The pricing is also very fair for the quality of work you are getting.Again, Chelsea was awesome and I will definitely be returning to her for my Hair/Beard trims!
