After driving from California and having shifting issues for a few 100 miles, I pulled in here and had one of the technicians drive my truck. He told me my transmission was failing, that it would have to be pulled out, stripped down, and that Id down for atleast a week with a $2,000+ bill. After leaving I spent 20 minutes reaserching online, then 1 hour cleaning the grounds and connections to the ecm on my truck. Problem has been gone for over 1000 miles. They either dont know how to diagnose, or just thought a 50 year old lady traveling the country was a good way to make some easy money... 10/10 scam.

I have had 2 transmissions this year. The owner mark and all staff i dealt with were all very professional . you could tell they like there jobs and are very good. I would recommend them if you are in need of repairs.

Great team here. My husband does most of our work on our cars so when we needed to find a place to replace our clutch I wasnt going to trust just anyone. The owner is great, really knows his stuff, and cares abouthis customers. They did a great job on my daughters car. I definitely will bring our cars back here.

I was on 95S traveling to Virginia Beach and experienced car problems and had to be towed to the nearest garage. We were quoted a price to replace the transmission that exceeded the value of the car. At this point we were contemplating donating it. Because we had a family member who previously worked for an AAMCO we decided to contact the nearest AAMCO at her recommendation. After speaking with the owner at length, he assured us that he could service the transmission for a fair and honest price. We were given an estimate, a time frame for the work to be completed and received a call describing optional work that needed to be done which we were aware of but had not yet addressed. We agreed and the work completed on time, for the price quoted, which was considerably less than any quote we received. The service was exceptional and my 2005 Honda Pilot runs better than it has in years. They renewed our faith in mechanics to do the right thing and at the right price. These guys are honest and professional and we would recommend them to anyone needing transmission work.

Once again Aamco 4 Mike Fork has not only repaired my car but restored my peace of mind. I can always rest assured the job is done well and the price is fair so there is no unnecessary financial burden. The best vehicle experience Ive EVER had!!!! Took my truck into them after my gas pedal hit the floor going 60 on 95N. Would not get into gear and transmission fluid was everywhere under the hood. I suspected a rebuild at best. They took it in and discovered it was just a hose that split near the torque converter (feel free to correct me.). So what was quoted over the phone at $3500 for transmission rebuild ended up being a couple hundred for a fabricated hose and labor. I was on the road the next day and my truck runs good as new.Danny and their team could have taken me to the cleaners saying the rebuild was necessary and I wouldnt have known any different, but they didnt. Honest mechanics are hard to come by. I will only do business with these guys so long as I live in this area.Aaron

I had my transmission replace just over a year ago when I noticed my Suburban developed a problem of maintaining a constant speed. When I would try and stay at say 45 mph, the truck would surge and slow sporadically. I took my truck in to have the team at AAMCO look it over. They labored so many days trying to identify the cause... consulted with numerous resources and rather than try and avoid resolving the problem or any number of possible pass the buck scenarios, they kept at it!Its important to note that my original transmission was replaced by the previous ownership of this AAMCO. Mark, the new owner, Keith the manager and the entire team their didnt give up. They constantly thanked me for my patience and ultimately solved the problem. A remedy of which Im sure will be well documented amongst the transmission repair community.All I can say is that the entire team at this particular AAMCO has earned my respect and ongoing customer loyalty. You dont find a much better establishment than this! A place that you know your vehicle with be in good hands and you can trust!

I had an issue with Ford 150 Truck thought it was transmission. I was recommended to AAMCO and it was determined not in need of new transmission but a rear brake issue. This group of guys didnt try to make money off of me. Due to this enjoyable experience as well as finding found the work to be of good quality and done by honest people. I will return for additional work and will recommend them to others which I normally do not do.

Mark and his team are honest and dependable! I was told by another mechanic that I needed a complete overhaul on my Ford Ranger rear differential, costing $1500 bucks, with no guarantee. AAMCO took the time to look at my truck and figure out that it was just a simple fix with one of my rear brakes. My car runs great now and he saved me over a $1000 dollars. I found out that AAMCO does regular auto repairs too, not just transmissions. I will be going here from now on. Finally, I have a mechanic that is honest and does not try to take me to the cleaners!

Both Mark and Jen do fantastic customer service, originally brought my Nissan 2014 Sentra in to get the CVT oil changed, turns out it needed a whole new transmission (52k miles in and granted really sucks but not their fault)Mark worked with me the whole way through and thanks to some research on warranties it was still covered fully by Nissan!So while Aacmo didn’t actually do the transmission replacement I wasn’t changed for the time it was there and got some great advice nonetheless.

I was stranded in the area with transmission trouble. Mark, the owner, was extremely up front and forthright to deal with. He explained all my options and made the ordeal as pain free as possible. Though I wish the situation had no occurred, Im glad it happened down the road from Mark and AAMCO.

There is a great team here. My daughter had tires replaced at Tire Plus and they let her know that her wheel ball joint was bad and wanted to charge her 300.00 to fix it. I had her transmission and wheel bearing repaired at this AAMCO and trusted them completely. I called and they got me in the next morning. Looked over the car and agreed the wheel bearing needed to be fixed and noticed that the wheel bearing they put in went bad. They replaced the bearing for free and the wheeling ball joint for 125.00. I feel safe that my daughter or wife can take any of my cars into this AAMCO.This is my families place for total car care!

Had Geico tow my daughters car there as we did not know why the steering had become so difficult. I just knew it would be a major issue but they found the problem quickly, communicated well throughout the process of repair and exceeded their time estimates. Honestly honest with me! Thats all I can ask for! Kudos to Keith the lead technician!

I cant say enough good things about Mark and the mechanic technicians at the Fredericksburg AAMCO. Their integrity is impeccable. Their diagnostic skills are second to none. No double charging for diagnostic time and labor time. They found the real problem and fixed it for 10% of what they could have claimed as wrong. A transmission v.s. a fan belt. And they prevented future trouble by checking for a radiator leak, but only charged me for the 2 gallons of coolent needed. They might be a little hard to find the first time, but I will gladly drive the round trip of 36 miles to take my car to them every time.

Just got my 74 Chevy with a 400 turbo trans back from these guys (needed complete rebuild) took a week to get it all done. Runs great now no problems. Got the lifetime warranty so no problems ever again. Also charged me HALF of what the aamco in wood bridge wanted with the tow bill included. Thanks a lot definitly 2 thumbs up.

Very personal, ended up not doing the work I needed done but taking another car to them for the work that needs done. Money was the issue for the first car I brought there, car value to repairs needed didnt agree with each other.

We have used this AAMCO garage several times and each time we have been more than satisfied with the work performed, the reasonable cost and the attitude and helpful manner of the employees. The work has been excellent and I will continue to use them for both our vehicles for all our maintenance and repairs and encourage anyone to try them.

We came in with a 2007 Toyota with a fried transmission. They charged half of what the dealer wanted to charge to fix it, and were very patient as we worked with Toyota for additional warranty coverage. We will absolutely send all of our future transmission work here.

This is the biggest bunch of dishonest/ lazy/ Un professional/ irrational/ and disorganized group I have ever seen. They tell me one thing to get me there then my jeep sits for 2 days before it gets worked on. Then a 985 estimate turns in to 2900..... oh and get this a transmission shop doesnt rebuild the parts of the transmission they just make you buy new parts from the dealer...... I found a company online that sells an entirely new transmission with a 5yr 100k warranty for 1299.00...... so to say aamco is a dishonest thief is an understatement! And the franchise owner Terry doesnt ever seem to be available by phone. AVOID THIS PLACE AND TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS!
