Ease of rental was nice, location was good (we’ve rented previously in Destin Harbor, which was far more congested). Our HUGE disappointments came with the condition of the boat. We rented a double slide pontoon ($1100) for 14…the original seats had been removed and replaced with stadium bleachers. I cannot emphasize the importance of having comfortable seating when renting a pontoon for 8 hours. Most of their boats had the original comfy seating, but clearly they failed to replace the seating in this larger boat with an acceptable alternative. Zero cup holders and no place to keep things dry (keep in mind, we own a boat, and have rented pontoons in this area before) - the aluminum benches were honestly something we couldn’t get over. SO UNCOMFORTABLE! I’ve had better seating on a ferry ride. Also, the transmission seemed to slip out of gear the entire day. It didn’t leave us stranded, but when we brought it to their attention at the end of the day, they were aware, and informed us that it wasn’t due to the transmission, but said it was because the drive shaft was too short for the motor. This left the boat unable to move over 8mph. Overall, I would not rent from them again without ensuring comfortable seating and a fully functional engine. Luckily, my husband was very familiar with boats and knew the limitations.

These guys arent here just for your money. They want you to really enjoy your time on their boat and in Destin. I will rent from him everytime I come to Destin. Crab Island was a nice place to swim and hang out. Our boat was reasonably priced and the boat was very nice.

We rented a pontoon. It wasn’t in great shape at all. Gates didn’t open, holes in upholstery, none of the dials worked in the dash and the railing in back was missing a screw and was very wiggly. Top speed was 15mph. For $740…. I think we should have had a better boat!

We had such a fantastic time! My very first time on Crab Island so we only had a vague idea how to get there. Spencer was very kind and pointed out which direction we needed to head to find it. He also offered to help us when we got back as we were struggling to carry all our things. The boat was clean and ran smoothly. We had some trouble parking when we came back to the dock but luckily we had some friendly attendants who helped us. Affordable and fun!

Kylie was amazing at helping us book a pontoon last minute! She was joyful and helpful! Joey went above and beyond with helping us get loaded and unloaded! He carried our stuff off the boat and all the way to our car with a smile on his face the whole time! Also helped us load the boat when going out!Love this company! They will be our company for our annual trip to Destin from here on out!!!!!!

If you are looking for a non-commercialized, non-overly expensive place (gag) ...this is the one you want!!! It is run by a cool dude with a loose mood. Ask for Hank! We rented a pontoon from him and got a Bentley for the price of a Kia. Literally! We didn’t need a whole four hours or somebody to hold our hands. (He offers that too though just talk to him.) We just wanted to cruise a little so he hooked us up even though everyone else was either booked or too busy to be bothered with anything other than an automated recording 🙄. Thanks, Hank! Our family rented from True Blue. It was last minute and we worked with Coach to do our rental. He was not only hospitable but he was very personable. We rented from a previous pontoon operator and the previous equipment wasn’t maintained. True Blue has awesome equipment and a very good staff!!!! We will definitely be renting from them again. Coach and crew rock!!!!!

Coach was our family’s representative. He was very helpful and the team was great. The orientation on the boat was very through and informative. I would recommend as we rented from a previous company and equipment was poor.

Easy to find, friendly, the pontoon we had was clean and looked brand new. It had a Bluetooth speaker system that was nice. If we rent again I do plan on renting from this company again.

Credit card fees $4 per transaction that was charged and I had to ask why the extra charges? If you pay cash, no fees. When I reported to BBB and Ft. Walton Chamber of Commerce, they refunded the deposit $164.50. Sketchy business, we found another place $350 flat fee, nice customer service, no deposit, just credit card on file to reserve. There are other places that are similar, we just wanted to fish on boat so we searched around. Do not go for this as deposit is not refundable. Not good and not safe.

Buyer beware. They tell you the cost is $300 plus tax. We ended up paying $368. When I asked why we were told it was service fees!!! They charge you $47 dollars to use a credit card. But do not disclose that to you. They just bill you. And don’t explain. We gave them a nice tip at the end of our 4 hour rental also.Other than that the boat was great and we had a wonderful day.

We had a wonderful experience with True Blue Rentals. The service was absolutely wonderful! They met us out in the parking lot and gathered all of our belongings to place on the boat so we would not have to carry it. The boat was beautiful and easily operated by my non-boating husband. The rate/length of time is the best you will find around. Dont think that having to cross the bridge to get to them is a big deal...it is literally the quickest, easiest and most convenient access to Crab Island. We will be back!

Shay, Rob, and Terry have been awesome! Helpful in every way. We rented a dry boat slip for the week. Great safe area to leave boat & trailer and parking was a breeze. Public boat ramp two doors down so it made launching each day quick and easy!! Thanks guys. We will be back soon.

Cheap Pontooning:+2 Stars - For the cheap prices. Considerably cheap when compared to its neighbors.+1 Star - For the knowledgeable service. The instructions were clear along with good tips.+1 Star - Good boats. The Pontoon was solid and new with all the instruments working along with the stereo.Minus 1 Star - No Showers, Just the Hose! & Limited boats.

I took my family on a trip to Crab Island for a half of day and had a blast! We had 8 people on the boat and we were very comfortable. The boat we rented was very clean and operated well. The customer service was excellent, the brought my bags and ice chest to and from the boat and were very polite. I would recommend True Blue to anyone trying to rent a pontoon boat!

Fantastic experience. These guys took great care of us. As soon as my group of 12 parked in the lot these guys went above and beyond. These gentlemen loaded all our coolers and offered to clean up all our trash off the boat. They even offered to prorate our rental fee in the event of severe weather. All we had to do was walk on the boat and have fun. These guys are worth every penny and more. Clean, well running boat and incredible service. Tip these men well because they earn it. Wont consider renting a boat anywhere else in Destin.

I reserved a pontoon for Tuesday and broke my ankle Saturday night. Cancelled Sunday Am with days notice but am told the deposit is still non-refundable. Thanks True Blue, Im just as disappointed that I cant have my day out of the water, but now I have these medical bills that I could really use that deposit to go towards. I have rented pontoons from your company in the past but will no longer go through True Blue.

Highly recommend it! Wonderful staff that greet you the moment you pull up. They helped load our belongings for the day in a wagon and hauled it to our beautiful boat! They gave quick but informal instruction on how to operate the equipment. The views were beautiful and we took it out to crab island. Defiantly worth the price, which I must say was very reasonable. Loved every minute and will be back next year!

They were very respectful and courteous. They told us everything we needed to know and gave us suggestions on were to go, they have a great location right outside of the harbor so youre not cruising through no wake zones and in heavy traffic. And they had the best price in town. If I visit again I will definitely go through them!

My family of 7 and I enjoyed being able to rent a pantoom boat from this place. They have great customer service and pricing. We got a total of 6 hours and it was easy to reserve ahead of time. We got the opportunity to visit crab island and stop at a restaurant by the shore. Highly recommended and we will be back if we are ever in the area

Easy to rent from and good service. Boat was nice except for a malfunctioning ladder. My fault for not reporting it but it was really hard to get into and out of the boat. Next time will make sure the ladder works before leaving.

Horrible experience!I dont even know where the start! The online price and pictures DO NOT reflect the actual experience. The online needs to be updated bc the packages online are out dated.The guys that booked us didnt tell anyone a head of time that its a lottery system for boarding the boat. The group that got on with us was very angry to be on board with us and said it loud. It was uncomfortable. Also the young couple that was on board with us got over intoxicated and fought the entire time right in front of us.The entire trip not worth the pay. The boat wasnt was advertised. We were NOT notified that crab island was closed for the season so there was no water crafts or bars or inflatable kid play.We paid +300 plus for awkward drama.NEVER AGAIN!

Booked 3 months in advance had a confirmation email showed up and no boat, no apologies just a you’ll get your deposit back in 3 to 5 business days. If I could give this 0 stars I would, Very disappointed!!! I really think that they had a chance to make more money that day since it was a Holiday;so they resold our rental. REPORTED TO THE BBB.

Absolutely amazing and looking forward to renting again on our next trip! We stayed at the West Destin resort, and Shay was great enough to deliver the boat to the resort dock to make it easier on us. Before our voyage Shay set us up with a great tutorial, a perfect map to scoot around Crab Island, and I cant think of anything he could have done to make it better. Perfect day on the water, and thanks again for the beautiful boat.

We booked a few months in advance for the Saturday of July 4th holiday weekend. We arrived and they took all our coolers etc for the day and had everything organized on the boat before we boarded so we didnt have to lift a finger. Absolutely awesome service and very close to Crab island. Our boat was very nice!! Would highly recommended using True Blue Pontoon!!!

Friendly, courteous helpful. Great customer service. After returning our boat we realized we had left our wallet with the jet ski rental location out in the middle of the bay. It was after hours but they took me back on their boat to grab it. They had smiles on their faces the entire time. Well be coming back!

I cant say enough good things about True Blue. Its a great family-owned business, and you can really tell that when you deal with Terry and Shay. They ask about you, theyre funny, and theyre totally committed to making sure you have a great time. Everyone was just amazing. I saw the rentals from other companies: when Terry tells you he has the nicest boats, hes serious. Best dock to launch from too, so close to Crab Island, and an extra hour on the water for the price. Right next to the original Dewey Destins too for lunch before or after! Dont bother looking for anybody else, just call these guys and enjoy your day.

The guys at True Blue were super awesome. The service was amazing and they were able to accommodate us with a boat on the spot. We were originally booked through an online service next door (LDV) and they wouldnt let us take off because we had 12 people and a toddler with one of the 12 being a 7 year old. I called over to True Blue, they said it wouldnt be problem, went right over, they came and loaded all our stuff for us and we were on our way. They were super friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend them and will be returning.Word of advice: book ahead and do not book anything online. IMO just call True Blue locally and they will handle all the booking without an Internet middle man and non refundable deposits.

I was in Destin, Florida with a friend and we rented two jet skis on Sunday May 31, 2015.Shay was very hospitable and provided us two excellent and powerful jet skis at a very reasonable price.True to his promised ads, we did not spend a lot of time in a no-wake zone.The location is easy to access and these folks are friendly, reasonably priced and great to deal with.I highly recommend using them.

Past client. Made reservation at new location.. Confirmed reservation next day. Day of drove 2 hrs in heavy traffic from Panama City Beach. Arrived to find no one at marina and no one answering phone. Morning weather had fully cleared for our 1:30 rental. No one called or texted to tell us they were not honoring our reservation. Three very disappointed children and 4 hours wasted drive.

Terry and the guys were great, carried our things to and from the boat. Very informative about were we should go to see sting rays, dolphins, and the best houses in Destin. Boatps are in great shape and run good. We will definitely be using them again on our next trip. Also getting to and from there is really easy, not like using the guys at the harbor walk.

Awesome experience. We are true newbies and they treated us like gold, giving us fishing gear to use and sending us directions beforehand to a bait and tackle store that was on our way to the boat so we could get a license and live bait. Then they sent us to some great fishing spots in the bay.Also, They loaded everything in and out of the boat from our car, and even washed our car off after some birds left a present all over the windshield, lol.We could tell from start to finish this is owner-operated by someone who really values customer service..We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend True Blue Pontoon rentals to anyone needing a pontoon rental in Destin!

I am an avid Destin vacationer turned local and have been renting boats and jetskis for the past 6 years....let me just say this was the BEST experience Ive ever had renting. The best customer service, the best prices hands down, and brand new super fast skis!! They also have clean bathrooms to change in and a beach there if you wanna relax after or while youre waiting for your experience-My mom is also in a wheelchair and they are able to accommodate her for boat rentals which is a huge thing for me, they earn my respect for including people like my mom in the fun of being on the water!Ill be renting a boat within the next week to get back out on the water and this is the only place Ill go from here on out! Boat was falling apart, the water slide was not bolted down and the motor puttered us to crab island in over half and hr. Upon our return we notified the young lady that checked us is and all she said was oh ok, Ill let someone know. That respond was priceless we instantly knew we would get no compensation much less an apology for the incovenience and fright.

You should let me finish my sentence before you talked over me and hung up on me.I asked the question because we are staying 7 miles from your location and I really liked your poontoons and 15 mph and 30 mph is a big difference when travelling in a pontoon. He was so helpful and informative and very accommodating! We originally were booked to rent on a day that turned out rainy. Very clean and comfortable to spend the day on. Most places charge a half day rate for 4 hours, but TrueBlue gives you 5 hours for the price of 4! They have great maps highlighting the best places to go. We saw so many dolphins it was unbelievable! At least 30 or more! Our grandchildren were so excited! We had taken them out last year on one of the other dolphin cruises with another company and we only saw 2 dolphins the whole time, and it cost more for those 2 hours for our family than what we paid for the day with TrueBlue.Trust me when I say Look no farther they are the best!
