This place is horrible to rent a boat from. Boat broke down on us and the lovely manger told me I could get underneath the boat and fix it myself! She was very rude and unprofessional!! I rent a boat every month when I come visit and I rented from adventure watersports this time and it was a horrible experience!!! The manager of this place is very unprofessional. I will never rent from this place again and I suggest you don’t either!

NOT WORTH IT!! Rented a pontoon/jet ski combo plus an additional jet ski for a full day. They called the day before to let me know the additional jet ski was broken and they would refund my money. They did refund the money but kept $50 cancellation fee. When I called to question this they told me it was for holding the reservation. After telling them I didn’t cancel they agreed to give it back (which I haven’t received). The day of the excursion, after crossing a 4 lane busy road from the check in to the boat (park on one side and get boat on other) the boat was sub par, ripped seats and pretty beat up, but what were we to do. The pontoon bogged down and died a few times to crab island, but we made it. We noticed the shell of the motor was cracked and the motor was pretty slow. We anchored and got off the boat only to realize the ladder was broken. I have video but it won’t let me post it. When you stepped on the ladder, it wasn’t secure so it pushed in against the boat and would pinch your toes. It would also cause your feet to rub against the bottom which cause little cuts. Two people (one on each side of the ladder) had to use their strength to hold the ladder so someone could climb up. After a few times of this the family was done. We took the items back after 1/2 day. I told the front desk our issues and they didn’t seem to really care. they claim the $50 is still coming (still nothing), the motor problem was because the rpm was too high and the ladder was a Bentley pontoon design problem. I’ll tell you we have a Bentley pontoon back home and our ladder does not do than. All in all, not a good experience and would definitely advise against renting from here.

Customer service was okay. The lady who actually was at the doc was super nice! We had a great time despite the fact the pontoon shut off on us about 4 times and they even warned us about the boat acting funny because it wasn’t running right. (Right then I should’ve requested a new one.) the radio didn’t work..a kid who’s worked there actually let us borrow his speakers though. the seats had rips all in it. Goldfish on the floor all smushed. And two of our passengers cut their toe on the bolt sticking out the floor in the front of the boat. I’m sorry but we will not be going back to adventures. We paid almost $600 for 8 hours and we were very disappointed. It took us an hour to get to crab island when it should’ve been a 25- 30 minute ride so our drive time got doubled due to the fact the boat couldn’t go any faster then 15 and drove really bad. I wish we could’ve got our money back but it wasn’t even worth it to try. We were there for two days so we tried to make the best of it.

Just don’t do it. I was warned by other reviews not to book. Should have listened. Booked. I knew there would be thunderstorms in morning, so I booked at 130 am. Storms stopped just as I arrived and were going to be clear all afternoon. We drive one hour to get to this place. They informed me no boats going out today due to coast guard rules. I asked why no one called before we drove an hour. They said ,”someone should have called and they were sorry. It took up our whole day as we didn’t plan anything in morning -so we would be on time for boat rental. Poor communication. Has kids working front desk. I’ve traveled around a lot and Destin is just a tourist trap these days. I would go to fort Morgan Alabama any day. Beaches are all closed from tropical depression 3 days ago. It’s a waste of money. Water in bays are calm and beaches are swimmable. This business is just the icing on the cake. Stay away. They could care less if you come back.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. Our pontoon boat was falling apart first 20 mins of our trip (passed the first bridge, Marker 9). Our boat was shaking and it eventually turned off. We tried to crank it but it wouldn’t even crank. We called the front office and they tried to guide us through the process to turn it on but it didn’t work. So finally they decided to have someone come out. But this person came out with a jetski, how come they just didn’t come out with another pontoon boat. This person said that they were going to bring out a “battery connector” or something of some sort so that it will connect to our battery so we can drive it back to the dock. Then transfer over to another boat. So we told them to bring out another boat. Why waste time!? So I called the front office again to ask them for a discount for our troubles. They said that there’s nothing they can do but offer us 30 mins. WTH?! 30 mins? Till 5:30. Even though it’s the coast guard rules they could have at least offer us a discount. The person at the front desk said they called the owner and that’s all they could offer us, which is absurd. I asked to talk to the owner myself and she said she couldn’t transfer me or give me a contact number. Not to mention there was a bunch of ROACHES under the seats. The jetski was falling apart as well, one of the strips on the side of the jetski came off. I am really angry and upset because we have a bunch of kids with us. We have two other parties waiting for us. This whole ordeal wasted at least two hours of our time. I’m sure the owner makes a lot of money, he could spare a hundred or two.

The only female that works their (please forgive me I forgot her name) she had very good customer service and she was really sweet. Cory and his partner (didn’t get his name) they were very informative and made the ride very fun.I highly recommend this place if you wanna have some fun and see some views, I also recommend doing it in the afternoon so you can see the sunset;)HAVE FUN RIDING!

The boats we were shown were pretty beat up! All seats were torn up or had been poorly repaired. You will not be able to take pictures on the boat due to the bad condition of the boats. Service was OK. If all you care for is a boat to take you to crab island this would work, for taking videos or pictures this will not work. We took the best boat they had and my wife almost cried!

I changed from a place in Destin to ADW in Ft. Walton. Glad I did. The boats were Bentleys. They were nice boats. They did have wear and tear on them but they repair holes in the seats and abuse from renters. It had a 50hp which was plenty to get us on the 20 minute boat ride to Crab Island. There were no hidden fees such as fuel charges. The price on their site is what you pay. Crab Island was nice! We did an 8 hr rental. If you are looking for something more secluded, when you exit their marina take a right opposite way of Crab Island. That leads you towards the AF base and there are plenty of beaches on the southside of the waterway with white sandy beaches and no waves. Although Crab Island was great, this area was nice too! No one within 500 yds of us. So glad I went with ADW!

Horrible experience!!! Boat was in terrible shape, torn, dirty, etc. No gauges worked, steering was difficult at best, and service was terrible. When we went back in to turn in boat, early I might add, the girl at the desk (who was very pleasant) indicated others complained too and she got the owner on the phone because I was furious and demanded compensation. He completely turned me down and could not care less that I was dissatisfied.If you are going to rent a boat dont do it here!!!

The absolute worst place to rent a pontoon from. If I could give them negative stars I would. The pontoons require more manual labor to operate than a paddle board. We literally had to pump gas into the motor the entire trip to crab island. Not to mention the condition of the pontoons look as if they have been through multiple hurricanes. The individuals working the dock have absolutely no customer service skills and are literally use less. So if you would like to waste your money and get the worst experience of your life go with this establishment.

This was the experience of a lifetime. the captain we had was amazing he got us to the dolphins we got to swim with them and everything. Defiantly recommend this, it is worth the money.

Really great owner, staff, and PWCs. The price it going to be the same if not more for jet ski retails so I think it was a great deal and the water wasn’t crowded and we had a great time. If you want to get off the jet ski for a little definitely rent more than 1 hour. The views are great and like I said staff is very nice and the owner waited with us for the PWCs to come in and he was great and really appreciates his customers and you can tell he really cares about his business. Would rent from here again!

First we were told we were going to be delayed 30 min due to short staffing. Once they were ready for us, we got a run down boat that barely ran. We were going at full speed and the motor sounded like it was going to give up. We made it to crab Island 45 minutes later. On our way back to drop off the pontoon, the boat wouldnt start. This caused the boat to drift with the current and we were on the verge of hitting a couple of boats parked around us. We called to notify the office and they tried explaining to us a couple of ways to fix the issue but after a couple of failed attempts they had to send someone on a jet ski with a screw driver and an octane booster to spray the motor luckily that started the boat and we arrived to the office another 45 min later.

Things started off great. In the beginning and in the end I can say the owner was very nice and professional. The rental experience was not the greatest. The jet ski stopped working properly half way into our rental. Nothing on the boat panel worked like the radio and horn and many parts were missing. The owner refunded us the jetski and I honestly wish I could rate the rental separately from the owner. He was really great.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!! The blonde lady in the front desk is extremely unprofessional and had a very nasty attitude the second we walked through the door for no reason. The owner Freddie, tolerated and encouraged her behavior. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I booked a pontoon rental for a full day. Checking in was easy, but having paperwork ahead of time would have been faster. Boat was ready when we got to dock. Boat conditions are sub par. Boat is older and needed a good power washing. These boats have seen better days. Dock hand was nice, but not efficient. The boat died several times while attempting to back out of dock. We noticed gas gauge was empty. We pulled back in and the dock manager assured us boat had been filled, said gas gauge was broke. Well after stopping at crab island we headed out by the jetty. The boat cut out and died. IT WAS OUT OF GAS! We sat for an hour in turbulent water as boats zoomed by us. The horn did not work as well. The anchor not long enough to anchor us. After an hour sitting in the heat rocking wildly with the waves, my crew was done. The dock hand came and had to tow us to marina. Indeed the boat was out of gas. Things happen, I get it. But we actually pulled back in to tell them the boat was empty and told that it was not. We were given the hour added to our time, but my boat party had had enough with sitting in the heat. After a couple more hours we got a bite to eat at gulf restaurant and headed back in early. I can honestly say I would not recommend. If I had seen the boats first hand before booking, I would have chosen a different rental company. Boats in web page pics are not same boats! These are much older and worn. I was offered an extra hour but really I should have been given a refund or partial refund due to the negligence of giving us a boat with no gas in it. I had kids and my 74 year old mother with me. My driver was an experienced boater and he was worried when we were caught at the jetty with no gas, no long anchor, no horn and left stranded for an hour. And one of my passengers got sick from the boat rocking. So I would not rent from them again. They need maintenance on their equipment or newer boats. Feeling just a tad disappointed.

Just like several other reviews for this place- the boats are SUPER SLOW and way outdated. Ours shut off on the way back to the shop. The employees walked us through getting it started again. several of the employees were very friendly but there were a couple during our interaction that were not interested in being helpful. Overall, we will most likely be looking to rent elsewhere when we come back next year.

We rented the pontoon jet ski combo for 14 passengers. Upon arrival they tell us the jet ski battery is dead and sent all 14 of us on the 12 passenger boat (illegal) to a nearby location to get another ski. The ski was an additional $200. This company did not honor our agreement. In addition the boat was in terrible condition.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service.This past Saturday I rented two pontoon for my family. The boat are kinda old. As we were boarding our pontoon one of the dock guys were briefing us on the boat. The guy told us that the boat may cut off if it goes over 5,000 rpm. He told us what to do when the boat start to act up. At the time we did not care we were excited to get out on the water. 5 minutes into our ride we notice our boat is going a lot slower than other boats on the water. Within 10 minutes of our ride the boat cuts off and would not start. We let it sit for a bit and tried starting again. It worked but than the boat was moving a lot slower than what it was before. It cut off on us twice before we called the office to have someone come out. A guy on a jet ski came out twice super nice guy. After he left the second time we were stranding on the water for about 20 minutes before the boat came back on. Then we slowly made our way to crab island. We finally made it to the edge when someone from out second boat got off of the boat and just pulled us across crab island Because once again the boat stopped working. It took us about 2 hours to make a 20 minute drive to crab island. Finally someone brought us a new boy after the guy realize the boat was not fixable. When we got back to the office we went in to the office to talk to the manager. As we were walking to the door a black locks the door in our face and would not let us in. He just laughed at us. Finally we got in and all 3 of the girls were extremely rude. Turns out the guy that locked the door does not work there at all. The black girl tried to fight my mother in law. After a couple back and forth conversations we asked for a owner. A girl responded and said she was the owner but turned out she wasn’t because when we asked for a partial refund she had to call someone else. Long story short after a horrible experience with the boy the girls in the office did not make it any better. I will be emailing the county and making a call to them to have this place investigated. I feel like if you know your boats are not up to par and not safe enough to take out to the water why let people rent them. Coast guard has already been notified.

It maybe a good price but their not worth it rented a pontoon last year we had a blast this year was a let down no gauges worked period radio was ripped out it kept shutting off on us and like it was about to break down being on the ocean with your family is fun but not when you pay that much money for something that barely floats

We have rented from this place before when they were in Destin. We were not aware that they had moved to Fort Walton Beach. However we decided to rent a JetSki from them today. We reserved a jet ski for 4:00 pm for 2 hours. We waited 45 minutes to finally get one and were told that we had to return the get ski at 6:30. We did get a refund for the half hour that was not used. However, we had hoped that we could get a discount for the inconvenience of having to wait for the jet ski. We had to rearrange dinner plans. The owner Freddie didn’t take time to hear our concerns and let his teenage daughter handle the refund. You have lost a loyal customer.

I have never been to a place of business that was less organized. The staff in the office was extremely rude, as they were arguing among themselves and ignoring the customers. The office manager (I assume that is who he was) was talking negatively about our family with members standing there. We did not get what we were promised as to the rental of the boat. The dock hand was on some kind of stimulant, and to top it all off, you had to park across the busy hwy 90 and walk across all that traffic with all your stuff for the boat!!! It was a horrible experience. I wish I could give them zero stars!

I went to the fort Walton beach location today for a pontoon rental and my family and I could not have been anymore impressed with the courteous and helpful service that we received. It is not like other boat rental places. Top notch all the way.

We rented a boat for the family for the day. When we went to check in The place Was disorganized and the girls were not friendly. The bathrooms were like you would find in a gas station. I told the front desk staff and they gave the attitude like they really didn’t care.The pontoon boat appeared to be In decent shape. When we went out to crab island the boat seemed slow but it wasn’t a big deal. (We had a pontoon boat with the same size motor back home.) The boat being slow was not a big deal until we got caught In a terrible thunder storm and felt like sitting ducks. Other boats with the same number of people and same size motor went by us like we were sitting still. We are very confident that one of the pontoons has water in it as it was sitting way lower than the other side and it happened with our own boat.We told the guys on the dock when we got back and they made light of it. Not something to take lightly! They said they only take them out of the water for major work.We will not rent from them again and would advise everyone else to spend a little extra at a more reputable place.

The price was good but wish we would’ve went somewhere where the customer service was better. That girl needs to be trained on how to talk respectfully to people and not like they are stupid.

This was our first time visiting Destin and we were told we had to visit Crab Island! We called Adventure Destin Watersports and the process couldn’t have been easier. Thanks Freddie!! My kids still talk about being on our own boat as the best part of their vacation!

I understand they get booked up during the summer season but some of those boats REALLY need to be retired! Our boat was super slow, and was having trouble starting and was just outdated compared to the other places. The customer service was great though, all the staff was super nice and helpful.

My group rented three waverunners for and hour and a half. One of the wave runners would not go over 5 MPH without shaking and making a very loud noise. It took 20-30 minutes to get back to the place we got on to change it our. When we asked one of the workers if we could have additional time since it was a faulty waverunner He said he would relay the info to the office and off we went. When we returned we were told we would have to pay a $100.00 late fee on all three waverunners! After getting the manager and worker we talked to the manager said we would have to pay $50.00 because we got plastic in the engine, which was obviously there when we took off at the beginning. Thankfully we didn’t have to pay the $300.00, but it was not our fault it had plastic in the engine either. We paid the $50.00 reluctantly and WILL NEVER USE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN!

As others mentioned the customer service was okay (nice folks hence the 2 stars) but that’s about it. The rest was a horrible experience. The boat waaay past its retirement age. The steering wheel was stuck to the point it was almost impossible to turn, it took so much effort that I have blisters on my hands and sore muscles in my body. The accelerator lever the same. It felt unsafe the entire time. You couldn’t adjust the speed finely it was always “on/off” and I had to drive in zig zag as there was no way to move the wheel finely. Anyway I can’t really describe the horror this boat put us through, lots of scary moments around other boats and the dock. It was a day (and money) wasted we never get back. And before someone says why didn’t you complain: they don’t give money back and yes all the boats are like this so no point in rescheduling or anything.So save yourself a terrible experience and go somewhere else for boat rental. You’ve been warned.

All I can say about Freddie is that he is a SUPER HERO who saved the day for my future daughter n law and her wedding party .One of the bridesmaids had planned a trip for us months ago from someone she found online and he scammed us. We should up at a harbor that he told us to meet him at and he was no where to be found and the owners said that he has done this before without there permission and they said that they didn’t think he would show up, in fact , last time he did this he ended up in jail 😡Our bride to be was devastated so I started calling other local places and begging and pleading someone to take us out on the water . I called Gillagans and they were booked but recommended Freddie who turned out to be our SUPER HERO for the day! He not only took us out to Crab Island for the day he allowed one of our girls to ride the jest ski with his son so that we only needed one boat. He charged us less than half of what the scammer wanted to charge us and did all of this with a smile and caring heart.We got back to the dock and instead of the girls calling an Uber he drove all of them back to the condo, now that folks is GREAT customer service!If you are looking for great customer service and a reliable boat rental , Freddie is definitely your best choice!!!!!!

Do not use this place go up the road to rent anything u want. Wasnt impressed at all. Oh wait , Well i got a reply back from this joker and of coarse its my fault. Folks save your money and for Gods sake if they call u and tell u that your boat is defective, dont take it back. Youll lose all your time it takes to drive it back to the docks . load and unload on another piece of junk and you sure wont get any money back. These guys are located in the perfect place for a day in the Destin Harbor. There is plenty of local flare to see as you travel down the Harbor, making your way to the bridge, to spend several hours enjoying Crab Island!Their rates are comparable to others in the area and there boats are clean!

Worst customer experience i have ever had... pay all this money for a boat that is falling apart.. cant go over idle speed at all if u do it cuts off.. i never had a boat place in destin act like them.. they said someone blew a motor last year... well u make more in a week to pay for a dang motor dont give me that... if i had known their equipment was like this i never would have booked with them.. and they dont even care.. i couldnt even take my family on a cruise cause u cant go over idle speed... but u spend 300 plus to just float.....In response to owners post.. no you did not inform anyone on the 40 rpm.. and we were not expecting speed boat pontoons.. we own pontoons... what we expected was a boat that goes faster than we can swim.. i have rented pontoons in destin at other places and every single place had boats that would go faster than 7 mph... maybe i wanted to take my family out and crusie and not go just to crab island.. we the customers pay alot of money for the service and its not up to par with other boat rentals... but dont sit there and say u told us something when you did not.. only thing that was told to us was about weather conditions which we were fine with... u just had bad equipment and customer service
