I was actually refereed to this location by a mobile mechanic. I took my vehicle in for a transmission rebuild and the guy at the front desk was amazing. He completed a diagnostic test to pin point exactly what the problem was and explained to me what needed to be fixed. The following Monday I dropped my vehicle off and it was ready by Wednesday as promised (as i told them I had to leave to go out of town Thursday). They also gave a fair price that was better than the other shop that I had called and they also offered financing options .I would highly recommend them for the job. Its a week later and my car is running fantastic.

First time dealing with transmission problems are was ready for the worst. But the crew at AAMCO made me a happy man. Initially was told they may need to keep car but was not the case. Not only did they diagnosis the problem quickly but repaired it much sooner then I anticipated. Plus we all know how expensive transmission repairs can be. I was very pleased with the the final cost. I went there ro have my car evaluated. I was told they would call me to schedule when they got the information on the part that night or next day that never happened. I called and left a message and they never called back. I called again a few days later and they told me the same thing they would call me either that night or next day that didnt happen. I understand they are very busy but at least be honest and say your to busy to help 😡

I am leaving a 3 star only because they were courteous and could have charged a lot more. With that being said, I went to Aamco to have my transmission fixed. They instead told me it was more than likely something else and not the transmission. I waited 2 weeks and paid almost $1,000.00 and my vehicle was still not fixed. At this point I was hurting on time, so I went to the local junk yard and pulled a transmission and put it in myself. 2 days and $160.00 later my vehicle was operational again because of me. Aamco did not do anything with my transmission, they put a used rear end in and now my emergency brake does not work at all because they did not adjust it after installing the rear end.

Driving along, my car would suddenly make a jarring thump and the AT light would come on for second ot two. Dealer couldnt get it to duplicate the problem so they couldnt get a code. Aamco couldnt get a code either, but did research on the problem and came up with a solution. Car running great now. Thanks Aamco.

I drive a 2007 Lincoln Town Car Limited, that needed to have the transmission replaced. Chad at AAMCO took excellent care of me. He was very patient, explanatory of what needed to be done, explained my options and was very competitive in pricing. What I really appreciated is that they offer a 12 month payment plan at no interest thruSYNCHRONY BANK. I highly recommend this business and will definitely use them in the future.

I left my car there for a check up and an oil change and they took care of me like I was family. Chad the service manager was very polite, friendly and professional. Also the staff was very diligent and courteous as well, Blake took care of my car and Joe even made me coffee while I waited. They found time to squeeze me in while they were slammed working on big transmission jobs! I will be coming back if I ever have any transmission problem as well.

Went to have a free computer scan and Blake was great! He went above and beyond taking the time to explain some things and answer all of my questions. He was nice, knowledgeable and most importantly, he didnt try to get me to pay for a service I didnt want, unlike others in this town. When I made the appointment I spoke with Joe who was also nice and said to come on down for the free computer scan.

Chad did a superb job coordinating with the warranty company and the supplier when our transmission needed to be replaced. He kept us informed throughout the process and really went the extra mile for us. It was a pleasure doing business with Chad. Hes a great part of the Aamco team!

My vehicle was acting peculiar at 45 to 55 mph. We were worried that it may be a transmission. My husband took it to a transmission shop and was told that we needed a new transmission. A few days later I took it to Aamco on Fowler St in Ft Myers for a second opinion. They spent well over an hour test driving and running diagnostics and found no codes. They recommended using fuel injector cleaner. I did that and problem solved! It’s nice to know there are still honest people in the business. I have told many people who will hopefully remember this and go to them for their auto repair needs.

Folks this is not your father’s AAMCO. Things have changed.After taking a family members Jeep to another shop and being told it was going to cost more than we expected we gave AAMCO a try.We were greeted nicely - but not that drooling super nice that raises suspicion. They looked at the Jeep and gave us a ring much sooner than expected. Told us the pricing and it was HALF of what the other shop was charging us, and they went the extra mile and checked out a leak and fixed it too.Nope - this is not your father’s AAMCO, this is your favorite uncles.I hope to never need them again – but if we do, we will be back.

The service overall is great. Chad,Blake and Joey are all awesome. They truly take care of you and your vehicle.

They have bad attitudes they lie and to top it off u spend around 4000$ and u will be bringing it back they are not good at rebuilds

My husband went up to the AAMCO on Fowler and met Joe...I think was his name. He was the owner. My husband was so impressed with Joe, and that is not easy to do. I have a 16 year old conversion van that I have treated like a baby. My brother told me that I better get the transmission checked bc it wasnt shifting properly. Joe took it for a test drive with a computer hooked up to the van and told us that everything was okay and we just needed $12 worth of transmission fluid. He even put the van up on the rack and checked for leaks. A Lot of other places would have probably estimated hundreds of dollars of work. Very Impressive!!

I have a 2004 330ci BMW that I bought from someone and I had some jerkness going on when I was coming to a stop and I took it to two different places and they were quoting me $2500 for a new transmission and a mass air flow. One even told me they put a mass air flow on it and it didn’t help the jerkness! So I brought my vehicle here and guess what?!?! They put a mass air flow in my vehicle and it fixed the jerkness! And they did it for half the price that both other places were quoting me for! Thank you so much AAMCO! You saved me thousands. You have gained a new customer for life!

I picked up a used transmission at the junk yard for my Expedition and the guys in this shop were amazing. Quick turnaround no BS and a job done perfectly. Stop looking for a place to repair your transmission - this place is second to none in quality, efficiency and price.

I have been going to this shop for several years. I have found them to be honest, trustworthy and reliable. They have always diagnosed the problem on both my cars and fixed it far beyond my expectations. My 2000 Town & Country van is hitting 200,000 miles and I thought I was getting rid of it when it had first surpassed 150,000 but Aamco worked on it over a year and a half ago and it has been driving excellent! They are the only ones I trust with my vehicles.

Great customer service but I noticed they charged for a rim key and didnt leave it in the car. It wasnt a big deal but if you pay $17 bucks for it, you want it. They were quick, I wont complain too much because being in the city alone it definitely makes a difference. Id still go to them if I needed work in the future. I just felt that it was a nuisance to go ask for the rim key.

Great work done at a great price. Mike was great and his staff did a great job and even stayed late to get the job done and my truck back to me on the same day. Hard to find reliable shops these days, so after this experience I will be using them in the future.

This is the only auto shop I’ve been to, that actually showed me the problems I was having with my car. I’d highly recommend anyone to Joey and Blake. They make you feel like family and are honest with you and will show you what the problem(s) are. They will also test drive your car if needed. I’d give these men 11 stars if possible! Very honest excellent service. I took my 2003 GMC Envoy to them after several times of attempting to fix my transmission leak myself. Joey from Brooklyn, was able to fit me in the same day for a transmission service. You ask a question, you dont get the run around. They arent scared to let you in the bay. The staff are professionals and personable; they get the job done and are good for a laugh.

Was sent there by a Firestone manager. Blake at aamco checked everything and notified me that there was not a transmission problem that Firestone claimed. Blake was extremely helpful. O would recommend this place to everyone

Beware of this shop the manager Joey thinks its okay to take your vehicle over the weekend and drive it around and take it home for personal use and finds nothing wrong with doing that ... When confronted he said it was no big deal and he does it all the time. He drove our truck all weekend, put 40+miles on it, found it at his house...so if youre okay with that just be prepared. Poor business!

Spent 600 dollars to have my transmission fixed. Instead of it getting fixed it got worse and they did nothing to fix their work.never going back to them

Fantastic team. Initially I called many brake shops in town that were ridiculously over priced. After I spoke with the owner or supervisor Mike, he gave me reasonable options to solve my problem. It was done right away and within my budget. The mechanics were also friendly. Mike even called me the next day check and ask how my car was keeping up. Great detail.

Had my 2013 fords transmission replaced. Took awhile to get it but that was supplier issue not aamco. It shifts great and Joseph works really fast! My newer 6speed is very expensive to replace but with aamco you get what you pay for with a great warranty! My second transmission from aamco in 3 years and never had a peoblem yet.

My wife was driving to Miami and our Lexus broke down. She was able to drive too this AAMCO who fixed the car in a professional manor. They advised her of the problem and gave an estimate. They provided her a rental vehicle while the repairs were being done at a reduced rate. She was able to continue her trip and able to pick the car up the next day upon her return. Upon completion the repairs were less than the estimate and it was a pleasure to have a repair shop exceed our expectations. I would highly recommend them.

Probably the most honest car repair shop I have ever dealt with. I have taken several of my vehicles there and have always treated with respect and honesty.

I went to AMMCO on the advice of a friend. I have an older suv that was out of warranty. I took it to AAMCO and talked to Mike, the manager. He was very nice and explained all the possibilities that it could be. I know nothing about cars so this was helpful. He had me leave my car and had one of his guys give me a ride home. the next day he called and said my car was ready. thank goodness it was a minor problem and my bill was lower than I expected.They really could have taken me to the cleaners since I knew nothing about cars. thanks to all that worked on my car and many thanks to Mike that was honest and fair.Mike you should have your picture on your website.

Four Months ago I had my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 6 spd towed into the Aamco on the basis that they were a nationally recognized organization that could handle fixing my transmission. The transmission had been run dry on fluid, and wouldn’t engage multiple gears.I brought the truck and was quoted $1400 dollars. I gave them the go ahead, with a 1 week turnaround time. 5 weeks later, with a 3k dollar bill, I finally received my truck back. “Every single piece in this trans had to be replaced except for one selector rod” the dude told me. On the drive home the transmission was grinding into gears so I promptly turned around. The tech drove it, told me “it’s normal after the extensive work we did…it’ll go away within a couple hundred miles”He wasn’t totally wrong; it did stop grinding into most gears…but one in particular, no matter how you shifted…it grinded. We took the truck back two months later to address the grinding issue. They Drained the fluid and found metal shavings in it. They said they were going to put a thicker fluid in it, and I stopped them and advised…. I know this transmission ONLY takes a specific fluid (I had just recently blown the transmission to my dream truck, so I did A LOT of research…clearly I was hoping for an easy fix)…. And they said, “This fluid is the same stuff, just a little thicker”Not even a week after taking the truck, the transmission is now making a really loud humming noise. I returned to Aamco 2 weeks ago with my truck, only to find out…”It’s a bearing noise” When I told them that it’s covered under warranty…Aamco is telling me that I am NOW out of warranty and they will not do anything. AAMCO changed my fluid to the INCORRECT fluid WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY, and once I have an issue, they claim it is no longer under warranty? ALL OF THIS is not to mention that the “3 year 50,000 mile warranty” that’s advertised on their board doesn’t apply…I only have a 3 month warranty.DO NOT go to the Aamco at 2525 Fowler St, Fort Myers, FL 33901

I was on vacation to Florida and was having some transmission troubles. I had to rely on a shop I did not know, so I tried aamco. Why not? They are a national franchise, I shouldnt have any trouble with them right? Wrong..First, The guy quoted me an amount on the phone, as basically worst case scenario (replace the entire transmission). I didnt have a lot of money to spend, but I accepted, and made the 1 hour drive from Clewiston where I was visiting. Everything was fine until they gave me the call to come pick up my truck. The price had grown.. Hundreds of dollars.. After arguing with them about the price increase and settling with an agreed amount, and making payment, I found fluid leaking from the transmission and I was assured is was residual fluid left from the install. Also I was hearing an exhaust leak and they denied that as well..I drove back to Charlotte NC and took my truck to a friend who told me not only were there transmission leaks, but the exhaust had also been removed temporarily to install the re-manufactured transmission, and it was leaking as well. So I took it to a local Aamco shop. They had to first get clearance from the shop in fort myers before they could fix it. The shop in fort myers refused, even though the aamco shop here in Charlotte agreed there was a problem.. I made a huge fuss, the repair was only 3 months old!! Finally the Charlotte shop agreed to repair it though the shop in Florida refused to pay..Then, 3 weeks after the warranty expired it starts leaking again.. A major leak. I had a re-manufactured transmission installed for under 13 months, and the thing needs $400 worth or repairs.. Leaking so bad it cant be driven.. The fluid will not stay in it..I paid thousands of dollars for a re-manufactured transmission, from what is supposed to be a nationally known and reputable name (Aamco) and it barely lasted 12 months...And guess what, .... They refuse to help...STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!! CROOKS!!!
