Ive come here for work on vehicle for a while now. I enjoy the fact that they complete a safety inspection every time you bring your vehicle in. The inspection gets sent directly to your phone and is easy to read! They let me know when I should get what done to prevent a future repair and its been super helpful. I recommend this place to all my friends and family and have heard only great things!

K& F is hands down the absolute best. We use them for all our automotive needs. They go above and beyond every time. We need a certain brand oil filter to accommodate a extended vehicle warranty and they accommodate that. Katelyn at the front desk is exceptional knowledgeable and personal. They vehicle inspection is amazing as it allows for you to schedule maintenance at your convenience. Very well maintained and clean waiting room. This shop reminds me of the old mom and pop shop with people that care. If you havent checked them out get on it. What are you waiting for? Give them a call.

Ive been going to KnF for many years and have always enjoyed there honesty and quality of work. I recently went in for an over heating issue. They did a pressure check and it came back clean. Now Im not a master mechanic but I was fairly positive that wasnt correct, and I was correct after 20 minutes my dad and I found a crack in the radiator. Im not sure why they didnt find it maybe they have to much going on as it did take 2 people to find the issue as one of us had to apply throttle while the other one watched for leaks.

Very personable employees, and the mechanics know their trade well. I have a crazy schedule but the office staff has always been understanding and as accommodating about scheduling or rescheduling appointments. The waiting room is kept clean and is very nicely arranged. Prices are also very fair.

I have been using K & F Auto as my go to shop for a couple years now and they are nothing short of amazing! I am able to call ahead and get in at a time that fits my schedule. They have a great lobby that allows me to work (WIFI works great) while they work on my car. Their new inspection that gets sent directly to your phone is great. It shows you everything you need to know and allows you to prioritize what work you should do first!

Stopped in today to ask for help on code that was showing up and was met by the owner Brandon. He came out and ran a diagnostic test and added fluids that i was low on and went into details on explaining to me what was going on. He was the nicest mechanic and business owner i ever met!!! I felt so comfortable and trusted everything he was saying. I cant wait to spread the word so everyone can experience what i did too! Its so hard to find great and trustworthy mechanics and this is a place you can trust!

If a vehicle gets brought in for repair they do unrelated and unapproved repairs without informing the customer until after the repair was completed. Had a friend get ripped off multiple times, he went in for suspension work and they replaced the starter because they thought it needed it when it didnt. Would NOT recommend business here.

Former ASE Auto Technician w/ 10 years experience & a degree in auto repair here... I’ve taken my cars here, before and after KF took over Precision Alignment, for repairs and service I can’t do in my own garage.I recently had an issue with an alignment and tires and they made it right, no questions asked, the day after I called. I’ve been very impressed so far with their service and communication. Tire prices are fair and nothing has made me question their abilities.I hope to have more positive experiences in the future on those jobs I just don’t have the equipment or time to do myself.

I had my 06 Chrysler Pacifica towed from Janesville to them. From Kaitlin at the desk, our mechanic Shelby and owner Brandon I was given world class customer service!! They diagnosed my failed water pump recommended some services to go along with it since they where already so deep into the vehicle. I couldn’t be happier! Prices where extremely fair and parts where good high quality! Plus on top of it all I now have a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty AND a year of roadside assistance just for being a customer!!! Are you kidding? Can it get any better? I submit that it can NOT!! Thanks K&F!!

I am 200 miles from home for work. I have new tires on my car I had to fill one tire twice yesterday. When I got to my hotel it was at 33PSI, this morning down to 20PSI, I started calling around and everyone was too booked to help.....I called K&F Auto Sales and Service and Kaitlynn (SP?) said she could take me at 9:30! Once they inspected the tire, they could find nothing wrong with the tire suggesting it was defective and to get a new one. She also said there was NO charge, since they only inspected it. They got me in, got me out and didnt take advantage of me. For that, I am grateful and would recommend them to your area! Thank you again!!

They will try to rip you off. I got an oil change here and they told me my serpentine belt and spark plugs were bad and needed to be replaced immediately. They said my belt was about to snap and they would do it for $320 🙄 well i just looked at it and the belt is completely fine.. No tears.

Glad I used a Groupon for $19. No place to park. When car was finished, and I don’t know what wad checked, pulled up to a snow bank so I had to walk through it to get into my car.

I paid for an oil change and standard car diagnostic. The mechanic was done with all of it in about 12 minutes. On the list, the mechanic failed the simplest check on the list, which was my burnt out headlight. My only theory, is the mechanic checked off the list without turning on the vehicle. Everything was marked as good. Yet, I was told recommended to pay $140 for new spark plugs. The vehicle has 100k miles, but the new engine only has 8,000 miles. Anyone who knows a thing about cars can tell you, you dont need a spark plug change after 8,000 miles wear on an engine. Within an hour of driving my car I heard swoshing/fluid noise under the hood. This normally indicates air was let into the heat core when the coolant check was done. I will probably pay a different mechanic to do a diagnostic, who can at least indicate a burnt out headlight, and hopefully the new noise this mechanic gave my car will go away.

Roughly 30min in and out for 7qt oil, fair pricing, nice waiting area. Just moved to town, likely my place now.

I am able to drop my truck off in the morning, get repairs done and take it home at the end of the work day pleased with the service done. Prices are competitive and worth the expertise and quality of work these guys bring. They can always squeeze me in, keep me informed and treat me with respect.

Stellar service and convenient appointments - I had an upcoming business trip the week of July 3rd and wanted to get tires rotated on my 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE before heading out of town. They were able to get me in late afternoon on Friday, July 1st (Holiday weekend) which just made my day as I am stickler for maintenance. They had me in and out in about 20 minutes.I have also used them in the past for oil changes, engine coolant flush, and automatic transmission service on both my Toyota RAV4 and wifes Toyota Corolla..

I came to k&f auto sale to look at buying a used car. The sales man is vary polite. Ask him many questions about the car that I ended up buying. I ask what has all been done and I’m vary impressed. I took my son here to buy a car. He questioned salesman about smelling oil while test driving the car. The salesman stated that it was because they had just changed the oil and some must have spilled on the engine. It sounded reasonable and we trusted them. We bought the car. Every week there has been a major repair. The oil was not spilled on engine. First repair. Second week after purchase the tire locked and would not move. Thank God not on a highway or my son would not be alive! CV pros fixed that problem. The third week the steering locked up! In the shop again. My son contacted the dealer with each occurrence. They stated sold as is but car did not have a inspection listed in car window as is required. I can only assume it was not inspected since it was not save to drive!I am thankful my son is alive after being sold a unsafe car! Engine needs to be replaced now and have a loan to pay off! SHAME ON YOU!!!DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

The first time I went in I had a few things wrong with my car but I didnt know what they were. I brought it in and within the first 10 minutes they knew what was wrong and gave me an estimate. So I took my car in and they gave me a better price than other shops around and I didnt have to stop in again for the same problem. Since then Ive taken my car in for the heater, oil pressure sensor and wheel bearings and Ill be stopping in again for my breaks, tires and oil changes.These guys have great, competitive prices and are extremely friendly and helpful.Thanks for the quality service!

Poor communication skills. I scheduled to view a car on my one day off (I live 40 minutes away). The day arrives and when I update them on my location they tell me that they are unsure which car I am viewing and then that it was already sold. I completely understand that the car was always up for grabs, however I expected be notified of the status of the car before making the trip and wasting my time and gas. What a shame.

Spent $ 300 on motormounts to fix my car when it didnt fix the issue charged me another $ 50 to check it out then gave me a list a mile long of things it needed done why wasnt i told that in the first place? why were only the front 2 motor mounts fixed when there are 3 of them??why when i called was i promised a refund of atleast the $50 to check it out the 2nd time that i never recieved??? Complete unhonest rip off!

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I brought my Kia into k and f to get diagnosed because my engine was knocking. They told me it would be a 1100 dollar repair, they were 95% sure their repair would fix my car. They didn’t fix my car and as we were driving my Kia home after paying 1100 it broke again. They told me this might happen. How can you do that to a customer? They said they needed to breathe a little bit so they wouldn’t look for an engine for me for a few days. Why didn’t they just look for an engine in the first place? The engine was knocking, everyone could hear it. 2nd bad experience with Shelby and I’ll never bring him or tell someone to bring him a car to fix. They are overrated, overpriced. The Kia dealership gave me a better quote for a brand new engine than they did for a used one. Bad people, bad business. WARNING DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE.

Came to get new tires and all new front end and they found the perfect set for my car. I couldnt be any happier with the way my car performs. And how smooth the ride is. My 35 year old car feels like its brand new.

Went in to get an estimate for a radiator replacement. The quote I got had all the part numbers on it. The part numbers were an exact match to OReillys part numbers... What a coincidence! Only thing is the price of the parts was not the same. My cost for the radiator was $568 at OReillys, K&F has $862, The hoses $100, $125, $86. K&F wants to charge $131, $180, $122. They have mark the parts up $400 from what my cost is at OReillys. K&F will also get a Jobber discount on all the parts they buy from OReillys at a 15-20% discount off the price us normal working people would pay when we walk through the door. Hey K&F... Im not interested in getting screwed by you!

Not happy with K& F Auto Repair. They tested my battery , told me it was good so then I had my vehicle towed to their garage just to tell me 4 days later that I needed a new battery. 240 bucks later when I could have just spent 117 bucks . Plus they left me without a car for 4 days.

Went to c if they could help jump a dead battery was told their only portable charger was out on the rd so ended up calling AAA even thou I was across the rd from k& f

Most of my visits have been pleasant whenever they had to work on my truck or do simple repairs. i recently took my car in for rear trailing arm bushings on an e46 bmw and asked for bushings with limiters to be installed as the factory design allows too much flex in the chassis causing premature failure. as a service technician myself who works 2 jobs and does not have the tools available or the time to do the job myself i brought my car to k&f where i had always had good luck. on saturday the car was dropped off for them to inspect so they could figure out what bushing i was even talking about. i also asked for an alignment, as the rear trailing arm mount is one of the points on the car to be adjusted when doing an alignment. the bushings i requested did not have limiters, and cost double what they would have if they did have limiters, and i understand parts have a mark up but this was a bit excessive. and i didnt even get an alignment. just a car that pulls hard to the left because they threw the mounts back in wherever they felt like it. ended up costing $200 more than the bmw dealer in madison quoted WITH an alignment. so much for trying to support local businesses. i used to refer many friends and family here, but will no longer do so for anything more complex than tune up procedures and oil changes.

Great place. Friendly staff and very knowledgable ad well. Took my 2001 Nissan Xterra in for a new water pump and they had it done in a day, and at a very good price. Saved me tons of money and kept me on the road. I am deffinately bringin all my vehicles to these guys

My daughter went over there to have her breaks checked and the mechanics found that her left front ball joint needed to be replaced, they replaced it with an after market ball joint into the OEM control arm. After four months the car started making noise. We took it to another mechanic and he found that the ball joint that was installed should have been an OEM part and not an after market part. When the ball joint was being removed after taking the retaining ring off, the ball joint fell completely out of the control arm. We had to replace the control arm and ball joint for the correct parts. This was not due to faulty parts, the mechanics didnt know what they were doing.

Summary:Read the fine print and youll discover that K&F provides no warranty on any of their work or any of their parts, nothing. But they will tell you otherwise. (a bait n switch)Better option:Power Tire and Auto on 2 Madison Ave (2 minutes away) has an entire PAMPHLET about how they warranty all of their work and nearly all of their parts for 2 years / 24,000 miles.Details:The owner of K&F Auto LLC, Brandon, will tell you to your face that the brand new hub assemblies that youre buying ($331.98 for two, plus $115.20 for installation, before tax) come with a 3-year parts and labor warranty, and then immediately after will have you sign the service order which says Any warranties on this product sold hereby are those made by the manufacturer. The seller [K&F Auto] hereby expressly disclaims all warranties either expressed [written] or implied [spoken] ....In other words, K&F Auto offers no warranties, but the manufacturer might.The issue is that you do not get a receipt from the manufacturer, therefor even if you find out who the manufacturer is (which is not listed in the invoice), theyre not going to do anything for you. If you try and RMA a part without proof of purchase, theyll laugh you off of the telephone call. Because youre not buying the part from the manufacturer, youre buying it from K&F Auto. You do not get a receipt from the manufacturer, you get an invoice from K&F Auto that says that K&F guarantees nothing and they warranty nothing.K&F got the hub assemblies from MOOG Suspension Parts. MOOG offers a 3-year warranty if you purchase it from them, so K&F has the warranty on your hub assemblies, but K&F does not offer that warranty to you according to the paperwork. They will verbally tell you that you have a warranty, but it doesnt mean a darn thing if its not on paper with a signature and date.I brought this up to the owner, and after a few minutes he printed off the text that the manufacturers website lists. But unfortunately this also has IN BIG CAPITAL LETTERS that it only applies to purchases in European Countries. I expressed this concern, and Brandon said that it would still apply since MOOG operates globally. I was further concerned because this warranty, again, would only apply if I had purchased the hub assemblies from MOOG and had a receipt from them to prove it.I expressed this to the owner, Brandon, and after some back and forth he reluctantly writes MOOG has a 3yr parts+labor warranty See MOOG for details - Brandon written into the Recommended Repairs part of the invoice.I again explain that MOOG will laugh me off of a telephone call if I try to RMA these hub assemblies without a receipt or other proof that I purchased it from MOOG. Brandon reluctantly adds coverd by k&F Auto.Ive had my car serviced at K&F for the following invoice numbers: #1182, #2298, #2522, #3332, and #3814.I have not had any issues with their work, nor have I needed any of the parts that theyve provided ti be replaced. This is why I wont go below 3 stars.Perhaps they will honor their word, but if really planned to then why not put their ink where their mouth is, and make it binding by putting it in the damn invoices like Power Tire, Zimbrick of Madison, and Metro Ford all do?

We have had the best luck with K and F auto very nice people to do business with great mechanics and the prices are cheaper than alot of shops for a new small town shop they treat you like family
