Everyone at this place has been so helpful and communicative when I’ve worked with them. Great shop and staff! They quickly and accurately diagnosed a coolant leak from a rock strike. They somehow managed to source parts and have the vehicle repaired in 24 hours--in time for us to make an out of town appointment. On initial contact they even offered a loaner vehicle without my asking and were willing to let us use the loaner for the appointment if parts/repairs took longer. Detailed and timely updates throughout via multiple means. Exemplary experience!

Highly recommended! I came today for a used car pre-purchase check. Lena and Zach are SO helpful in providing their opinions. Zach is amazingly professional, he told me the car problems in a very clear way, I understood that although I do not have much knowledge in car. This place is great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Ive been going here for years and they are top notch in everything they do. Ive taken both my cars to them and have been satisfied every single time. When coming by, every now and then Ill see them working on some more rare and eye-catching classic cars. So if you have more regular cars like me or something a little more special, you can be sure theyll do a great job on it.If you usually get service at a dealership, you should consider going here instead. The main difference is that the dealership will try and get you in an out in a set time to make their quota, while Circle Auto will put more care in and take the time to diagnose and fix an issue. Also, the dealership could try and upsell you on larger repairs that your car may not need, its just what would get you out of their shop sooner.

Circle auto was awesome! I read a bunch of reviews and decided to give them a shot. Theyre were incredibly professional and communicative throughout the whole process. In addition to general maintenance, there was a mazda specific issue that we needed to loop Mazda in on and they took it to Mazda themselves and communicated with me the entire time. The issue w the car was bizzare, but circle auto made the whole situation so much easier to traverse. Having gone to Mazda directly in the past, I can pretty much guarantee that my wallet would be a lot thinner had I gone directly to them instead of circle auto. Highly recommend!

By far the best customer service Ive ever seen at a car repair shop. I took my Toyota Highlander here this week for the first time. The customer service is amazing - Lena explained exactly what they would do with my car, then sent me text and email updates throughout the day. With other repair shops I had to call back a bunch of times to figure out when the car would be ready, but Lena let me know the second the car was done. When I got there to pick up my car, she explained in detail every repair. She also flagged a few other things that might need work later but are ok for now.

My family and I have been going here for years. Very trustworthy mechanics and they do a great job! They are fairly priced too and will get you the best deal they can on parts. I had an issue with Toyota ourisman lying to me about a cracked water tank - and luckily I got a second opinion with Circle auto because they completely lied! (I will never go back to Toyota) and so grateful that circle auto told me the truth. Great mechanics! Would highly recommend.

I am the proud owner of a vintage 1960 Ford pickup truck named Betsey, she was my wedding gift from my husband. She was the truck I wanted all my life, but she came to us in need of some tender loving care and attention and that included updating many of the systems, such as a fuel pump, new gas tank, carburetor, distributor, belts and plugs. Circle Auto was recommended by a dear friend of ours, and I’m so happy Betsey found her way into their hands. I have posted about Circle Auto before, but this experience was really unique. Following some of this winters cold weather, my 1996 Suburban 1500, which has been lovingly cared for by Jeff and the Circle Auto team for the past 5 years, wouldnt start. When I got around to calling a tow truck, the driver tried to see if he could get the Suburban to start and in the process a small fire sparked in the engine compartment. Long story short, what would have been a fairly straightforward repair now involved fire damage, my insurance company, and a lot more than any of us expected. Not only did Jeff get the repair estimates done promptly, he very effectively worked with my insurance company to settle the fire claim. Once we were in a position to move ahead with repairs, the truck was ready the next day and has never performed better. Thanks Circle Auto for keeping my 1996 classic on the road and safe.

Lena! What a great experience! I contacted Circle Auto Repair based on the reviews (we are new to the area). We needed to have all the fun State Inspections completed for 2 vehicles. I realized I needed to complete the inspections before our DMV appointment and contacted Circle Auto Repair a few days before appointment. The team did everything they possibly could to get me set up for my DMV appointment! They provided a loaner car so I would be able to work while my vehicle was inspected. Circle Auto is great. They service my 1970 VW Bus and have since I found them back in 1992! In November 2019 I was ready to get major engine work done and Jeff and team did an awesome job providing me with options for putting in a new engine, talking me through the process, and getting it done. Also did major front end work converting OE Drum brakes to Disc. The bus runs as good as ever, with now double the horse power! Thanks Circle Auto for keeping my Family Heirloom in great running condition, even if it doesnt look all that great! One day Ill restore the body and paint!

I knew about Circle Auto because I use to work at a nursing home in Dunn Losing as the Assistant Director of Activities. We have Special needs kids there, and Jeff (Circle Auto Owner) came to the nursing home to assist in helping the kids have a Special Christmas by bringing lots of give and smiles. 10/10, would recommend.I just about blindly clicked on the first local auto repair place that appeared on Google, and I was pretty fortunate to stumble upon these folks.When my Toyota failed inspection, they sent me a report over text and email with simple to understand details about every aspect of my vehicle under inspection. They took the time to review with me repair recommendations and requirements to pass inspection, then gave me a timeline for the recommended repairs. A few of the mechanics (Jeff and Zach, I think?) spoke to me directly and explained what was going on at a mechanical level through various helpful visuals. It was all virtually painless, and I didnt feel pushed into spending more than I had to The repairs were decently affordable, and Im pretty happy with the result.

The service I received at Circle Auto Repair was top notch. They were gracious enough to inspect my car at not cost and shared what needed the most attention. They even sent me an email with pictures to show how damaged my muffler was. I had the rear brake fluid and muffler repaired as those items were critical for my vehicle inspection. They also knocked out the inspection that was set to expire the next month. Very kind staff and I would recommend their services to any one in the future.

These guys are great, they really make you feel like a VIP. The 62 points inspection they do before they carry out the maintenance with all the pictures and small video clips really puts a lot of things in perspective and helps with managing proper maintenance.I highly recommend them which is why they are my go to guys.

Mike always takes care of me. Even tho I don’t live in the neighborhood any more I still bring my cars there. He always gives me a fair shake and good work. My dad vetted them for me (he’s the kind of dad with a car lift in his personal garage) and made sure they weren’t going to rip me off with shady work. They’ve even taken care of quick problems when I just pull in (adding air or checking that annoying light that just came on only to learn that it is so not worth it!). And when I no longer wanted to keep one of my cars in perfect condition just safe they helped with a work around for an ac unit! Thanks guys!

I recently had one of my tires swapped out here. The tire was initially installed backwards, but the issue was very quickly resolved. Everybody I dealt with was very professional and courteous. The team really seems to care about their customers. Highly recommend.

I needed a state inspection so I called and was told a couple cars were already in line and to call back at 3 to see if they were through those cars and if they could get me in and out quickly. They told me to come by and my car was done in 20 minutes. While my car was on the lift the mechanic pointed out two things that should be taken care of. One thing I didn’t know about and one thing I did. There was no pressure to have it done but they did give me a quote. Everybody was friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back for those repairs.

A little quick backstory; I live in Alexandria and was coming back from visiting my girlfriend who lives in fairfax and ended up getting a really bad flat tire on my mustang About 0.5 miles away from circle auto repair at around 5:30pm. My tire size was incredibly hard to find and was not able to get it that same evening. After speaking to Lena and explaining my situation, she kindly allowed me to leave my car overnight until I was able to get the tire and have it installed by them the next day. The next day, Lena and the entire staff were very helpful trying to help me find another tire around the area and continued allowing me to leave my car there for most of the day. I was able to get a tire that day and as soon as I came back, they decided to help me right away and get me out of there in no time! I had never heard of this palace before but I am glad I stumbled upon them. I am grateful to the entire staff regarding their kindness, helpfulness, and quickness.-Gus

I needed a wheel alignment right before the July 4th weekend as I had just gotten some tires replaced and needed to drive all the way up to Philly the next day. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a place that could make an appointment for me that also considered my work schedule. I gave Circle Auto a call, and they squared me away. They fit me in despite it being the holiday weekend and even worked around my schedule to get it done! Everybody I spoke with was attentive, friendly, and professional. Much better service than I have found anywhere else in the area, would highly recommend for any auto service needs!

The team provides excellent friendly service. They worked with me to assess what was a necessary fix and what could wait. I even brought my 5 year old in to explore the shop and see what mechanics do and they were more than happy to talk and let us explore.

Scott was wonderful, helpful, transparent, knowledgeable and got my car taken care of in less than a 24hr turn around. They confirmed everything I’ve been saying I thought was wrong with the car since shortly after I bought it, issues other mechanics said weren’t there, issues I never mentioned to anyone at circle auto, just to see what they’d find without prompt. I’m a mechanics daughter, I have great gut intuitions about cats, I knew something was up with a good many things on the car but couldn’t get a shop or my mechanic brother to listen to me about it. Thanks to circle auto, all of the noises have stopped, My car sounds better, runs better and is happier than it’s been since probably the yr it was made because the previous owner didn’t maintain it at all. I even suspected something up with the engine oil but knew it was going in for inspection and would be found shortly. Turns out the brand new oil pan the dealership put in was done improperly. I wondered what that smell was... scott keeps people in the loop, their diagnostic breakdown via email is very handy, and The mechanical tech, Zach was super friendly, easy going, funny, a complete cutie, but most importantly knowledgeable, down to the science of why, what and how. Truly impressed with his knowledge and care of my vehicle. Thanks a ton guys!

What can I say, this shop is amazing! Working in the auto industry I see it all, but these gentlemen are the pinnacle of what honest, value-driven service looks like. Just to be fair, it has been a couple of years since my experience at Circle auto, so there may have been significant turnover since my experience. Given the great reviews this site had/still has and my own positive first experience there (a seemless car inspection), I thought I had found my local car place for as long as I lived in the area.The second time I went, again for an inspection with a whopping 800 additional miles on my car (I am disabled so I drive very little), I was told that I needed over $1000 in repairs by a young man named Michael. This was rather shocking given that my car was exhibiting literally no symptoms and this was the exact same place that had passed my car with flying colors the year before. What was worse was that when I didn’t immediately give a green light, he claimed that it was not even legal for me to drive the car off the property if I did not choose the repairs Circle recommended.My car was old — a 2000 model — but it was old the year before. One of the employees (I’m unsure of the name) made a joke about how they hadn’t seen me since the previous inspection. I have no problem with the joke – I just genuinely believe that they realized that given how little I drove, I was not going to be a good source of business for them, so they created some.When I told Mike that I would have to think about the repairs and more specifically that I wanted a second opinion, he said that he could not allow me to drive the car off the lot because of state law, and that a failed inspection sticker had already been placed on my car. On the way out, I was rather horrified to see that nothing of the sort was on my car — it was just a lie that he was able to conjure on the spot to try and force me to choose Circle Auto. I should have just driven off the lot then and there and left them with my backup keys. Instead, I am embarrassed to admit that I let them trick me into ripping me off.The thing they like to tell people in situations like this is that they just recommend replacements based on the car manufacturer’s recommendations. With my car specifically, even though my car had only 12,000 miles on it, it was on the older side and things need to be replaced from time to time. While there is truth in that statement, It was a 2000 car — how could the recommendations have been so vastly different in 2018 than they were in 2017? Aced the state inspection with flying colors to 800 miles and a year later needing to spend more money on the car repairs than the actual car is worth. THAT is quite a difference.I would also like to hear a response from Circle Auto as to whether or not a car repair shop can legally tell someone that they cannot drive their car off the lot if they don’t opt for the repairs. 20/20 recently did an expose and found that many several car repair shops use this gimmick to force people into expensive repairs in spite of having zero legal authority to do so. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident at Circle Auto.

Reliable service from a business weve relied on for years. Very good about letting you know whats going on with the vehicle, and they always give you the final go-no go on each item.

Absolutely wonderful service, Ive had decent service with car places before but Ive never had them text me updates, send me a full review/diagnostic complete with pictures and state (high/medium/low), and even recommending stuff but not being pushy. Very willing to help and make a maintenance plan as well for longer term coverage besides just heres a sticker, come back at that number. Nothing is hidden or comes as a surprise, they recommended future fluid flushes at interval which Ive never had recommended ahead of time, only upon arrival. Really wonderful and great people.

Great business, been going here for years. The inspection is always very throuogh and in depth. They catch things other shops do not. They are real mechanics.

Good customer service and they are very quick with their service! Showed up late but they were able to squeeze us in! Would recommend getting a inspection here again!!

They quickly did the state inspection even though their internet was down. Super friendly and really honest. They didn’t charge me because their system was down. Definitely will come back!

New to the area, I selected Circle Auto Repair because of their reviews, and they did not disappoint. I am typically weary around mechanics, but I felt completely comfortable with all of their staff throughout the entire process. They even helped me out by kindly installing my new license plates on the car after the inspection. Very friendly, professional, and courteous.

I just moved here in January and recently had some issues with my 2006 Buick Lucerne. I have always hated going to dealerships/mechanics because of experiences when I was younger, but I like a few things about my experience here. First, the owner/founder had no ego whatsoever. In fact, he dropped me off/picked me up at my place (only a couple miles away). Second, I like the report/photos they sent me which provided evidence as to why they suggested certain repairs. Last, I went there a few days afterwards because I thought I could hear something in the car - I drove there, showed up, and the technician came out to drive around with me and we were able to diagnose the issue quickly. Again, no egos or sales pitch and quality customer service.

AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I had a nail in my tire and they were not only able to fit me in the same day but also fixed it quickly and I was able to go on with my day. I usually am very nervous going to auto shops but they made it a simple, streamline experience and I left with a smile on my face. Very polite, helpful, and friendly. Would definitely come back and could not recommend them enough.

I showed up an hour before closing and they took me in and did my inspection in a super timely fashion. The woman at the front desk took my information down and push me through and guided me through the process very well. This place really saved me when I was in need of the inspection for my trip the next day. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Everyone there was so nice! They were happy to share information about my car’s condition and their emphasis on maintenance over repairs along with their transparency instantly made me feel like they’re a business I can trust— not always the case at car repair places!They were hospitable with refreshments in their lobby while I waited and even left “thank you” snacks in my car. Love the car guide and rewards program too! Surprised and delighted by this neighborhood gem! Would def recommend!Update:After this stellar first experience here, I made this my regular car repair destination. If you are looking for a place you can rely on, that just about treats you like family, this is it! They have done various repairs and maintenance on my Honda Fit over the last few years all with great outcomes and reasonable prices. The staff and especially one of the managers, Michael, is a sincere and kind guy who will help you out wherever he can. They are good people! The kind that will offer you a ride home if you live nearby, will do their best if youre under time constraints, and the kind who will check your car before a road trip and not charge you a thing if theres nothing to fix.Sadly, Ive moved away from the area and miss them, but you dont have to! Great folks who did a very fast job with the Safety inspection at a reasonable price! Go see them in the heart of Fairfax Circle!
