They have a lousy receptionist, she was rude and quick to get off the phone. They didnt even have places available,but they post that they are. Pitiful!!

I rented a property form Zimmerman Realty in the earlier 90’s. I was a student attending a local college and saved enough money to pay for my rent for the two years I was in college. I had informed Zimmerman Realty of this prior to my departure from Wisconsin and they assured me that my rental will be ready when I arrived. Upon arrival in Fairborn Ohio I went to Zimmerman realty to give deposit and pick up keys for the house. Mr Zimmerman and others that worked in his office at the time discovered that I happened to be African American and didn’t want to rent to me . After haggling with them for 45 minutes they finally decided to rent to me as I also had a U-Haul truck in the lot with all my belongings. This ordeal has bothered my me for many years and I think they owe me a written apology.

I have been renting through zimmerman while on Section 8 for 3 years almost 4. I complained about finding bug and sewer nats from a vacant apartment under mine that was flooded and they will do nothing about it then the lady Desiree will try to make it like its you! You are the one bringing these bugs here and try to threaten to kick you out! She is rude and she thinks everything is YOUR fault!

I have had nothing but great experience! All the staff are helpful and friendly. We are renters and they are always on top of everything if something happens to go wrong. I give them 5 stars!

Looking into office work at Shady Creek, this property was bought out by Zimmerman.

Do not use Zimmerman Realty, the woman at the front desk is rude and extremely unprofessional. She has a poor attitude towards current and possible new clients. If she is so unhappy in her job, maybe she should find something a new one. Don’t take it out on the people who you encounter.

J L Zimmerman Reality doesnt even deserve 1 star. The lady at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional. We stood in the office for at least 10 minutes before we even saw her face and the phone was constantly ringing as well. When she came down she was very rude to everyone in the office and the people on the phone as well. I do NOT recommend this company at all. She seemed to be bothered by doing her job- if she doesnt like her job, she should not be working in this industry.

Wonderful experience with office staff! They were incredibly helpful and flexible and went the extra mile to assist with finding us a home during the Holiday Season! Big thanks to Taren, Melanie, and Steve for getting us the home we love.

They do their job and the do it well. Nobody is perfect and you have to consider that they work with a large number of people and you cant please everybody the way they want it all the time. Im just being fair and reasonable in their behalf and my personal direct experience.

We rented from them once. Worst renting experience of my familys life. They offered to pay for all electricity/gas/sewer (all included), so we put the money down to reserve the apartment until the weekend when we could make the first months rent payment and move in. When we got there, they had destroyed all documentation saying they would cover these costs (and would not refund our down payment). That was the start of the horrendous year of hell we would come to know. 1 week after moving in, strangers entered our apartment through the locked door -- My wife was just hopping out of the shower and screamed. They explained this was on the list of apartments for rent, they gave us this key.. we are so sorry. Did I mention this shower was cold? We enjoyed cold water the first 3 weeks due to a faulty water heater (they were in no rush to repair). At some point in the winter, an icicle fell from the roof and sliced the external phone line-- we called AT&T to investigate, and they estimated $60 to repair the line. We called Zimmerman under the act of god clause in the lease, and they said a phone isnt included in the basic necessities, and we will pay for nothing. The repair guy took pity and jimmy rigged a ghetto cord up to our window that if we left cracked open we could have a phone. Rats, mice and roaches were such a problem that any food left anywhere on the counters was gone with pellets and feces everywhere the next morning. I would highly recommend avoiding renting from them if at all possible.

Desiree Zimmermann has caused me to talk to an attorney for her attack, pain, anxiety and suffering to my safety and well-being while being her tenant. As you can see, I am losing sleep from her attack.Any perspective landlord & tenant:avoid and boycott this management company until she, specifically, is banned from Zimmermann holdings, property, personnel, tenants, paperclips, pens and people associated with the business. In short, a restraining order against her from Zimmerman property & associated personnel.No attorney would take the caseAngel and the rest of the staff are complete gems and would be a positive asset to any company.UPDATE: March 2019. According to two sources, Desiree has fired her staff EXCEPT the one she is sleeping with. Even Angel is gone!I cant get my mind around this other than it is another example of an unstable mind.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS REALTY COMPANY!

This company is scamming lowlife type of business. They con me out of 1200.00 for a house that wasnt even liveable. No electricity, carbon monoxide leak. I would have died the first night living there. Their response to that was oh well!! I wanted my money back and was told by Diserae Zimmerman that I was moving in, going to live there, pay my rent and like it and there would be nothing I could do about it!! These people need to be put out of business. Rude as hell and very unprofessional!! These people have another coming from me!

I rented from Zimmerman years ago, and recently heard them brought up in conversation. My experience was so bad with the owner, Desirae, that I felt compelled to write this review. I was a good tenet, paid rent on time and had very little maintenance to call in. However, when I terminated my lease (and I should mention that I didnt terminate it early, but rather when it was about to expire) I was treated like crap. I was literally screamed at, called names, and threatened. I was taken aback. I had never been treated so disrespectfully by a company. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible customer service!!! Very unprofessional. Absurd pet fee!!!My husband and I recently looked into renting from this company. First, they charge an absurd amount to have pets in their properties. Second, they have terrible customer service, I felt talked down to and rudely spoken to. It took them forever to contact the landlord and receive a response from him on a question we had (about lowering the pet fee). I was under the impression that as long as I paid the fee, I would be allowed to rent the property. So I applied for the property and paid the fee to have my credit checked. I was then contacted 5 days later (4 business days), with me calling every day to check on the status (they never bothered to update me on anything) with the landlord ending up not wanting to rent to me based on the size of my dog.

Im only giving this a 1 star review because Google wont allow 0.I have never been treated so poorly by anyone in my life.Zimmerman Realty owns a property above the one I currently live in. When I first purchased my condo last May there was already an issue with a leak from Zimmermans property above my garage. They fixed it and covered it up with very poor drywall work. A few months later, another leak, this time after I made note of the poor drywall work they fixed it up more professionally.Fast forward to the present. I discovered a leak coming from the unit above again, I called Zimmerman realty (3/30/16) and spoke with a man who was very respectful and said he would get on it first thing in the morning. Having not heard from him and being noon, I called back and left a message. The message was forwarded to what I can only describe as a disrespectful employee.In a respectful tone, which can be vouched for by my co-workers who were around me, I explained to her the issue. She responds along the lines of In our 20 years of owning that place weve never had any problems with plumbing. - and furthermore accusing it of being asinine that it should be their responsibility, and accusing me of being a know it all as well as Youll be hearing from my attorney. She proceeded to ramble on, yelling, without letting me say even a word and then hung up.Sorry, hun... There may not have been anything wrong with your plumbing for 20 years, but things go bad and there is something wrong NOW. This employee should not in any way hold a role that involves being able to talk to people in a respectful manner because she obviously isnt capable of an adult conversation.I hope that Zimmerman Realty can address this, because its very embarrassing on their part.

Desiree Zimmerman is one of the worst people Ive ever encountered. This business has the absolute WORST customer service Ive ever seen or heard of. Desiree is appalling in how she treats people. It doesnt matter how nice or professional a person is, she will scream like a crazy person to get her way and hang up in your ear. Ive read multiple reviews saying this, and I was treated this way as well. We were forced to move out of our home due to Zimmerman not wanting to fix something. I lived in their unit for multiple years, and was treated with total disrespect and disgust any time I called in with a question or maintenance issue. She uses foul language and should be ashamed of herself in how she chooses to conduct business. Im sure whoever she got the business from in her family would not appreciate what she has done to the family name. This is the Fairborn Slumlord Hub. If you ever see a Zimmerman Realty sign while looking for a home to rent, RUN the other way!!

I really cannot believe this place of businessHow someone as disrespectful as Desirae Zimmerman expects to run, and maintain a place of business whilst behaving in the manner that she does, is beyond me. In order to have happy customers you should have great customer service skills and fantastic networking abilities. It is obviously clear that she does not care that word of mouth is the biggest form of advertisement. In my very brief interaction with her I can tell you that this woman has zero respect for herself, let alone respect for prospective clients and the seemingly good name her parents intended to leave with their realty company. She uses the absolute most foul language and has a very ill educated way of speaking. I would almost guarantee that a person from prison who has been paroled would have more tact, couth and better grammatical abilities than she has. I will say its a nice touch responding to each bad review as if you actually care about the drama or severe unpleasant experiences your interactions have caused. This is not how you run a business. No one cares that you own this or that. You wish to elevate yourself above others because of your assumed monetary status when you have less than the tenants you rent to and would have even less than that had it not been for your parents. You brag about things when your character is crap. You lack integrity. You lack honesty and respect, and your nastiness will get you nowhere fast. You are running that company into the ground. Your close business relationships are also shady. The landlords you work with are slumlords and you uphold their slumming ways through your property management agreements while making innocent hard working average Joes feel and go through perpetual hell just to try to have a place for their families. It is disgusting and I hope you get your head and heart right because being a nasty miserable person reflects what you truly are and God doesnt like UGLY.

Do not rent from these people Zimmerman Realty , all the bad reviews on here are true ..worst landlords ever ,they liars and crooks,and slumlords, they dont clean their apts before you move in, you pay rent on time drop it their box , they will say they didnt get it to charge you a late fee, they are running a scam.,they charge a high 50.00 application fee but just pocket the money ,the couple of repair guys they have are the worst ,they cant fix anything ,show up late ,leave in the middle of a job ,make the repair worst where it doesnt get fix at all, if you call the office Desiree will yell at the you like its your fault...then they will never come back to fix it...I have been in the office and witness her screaming at tenants in person and on the phone ...her boyfriend Steve who also works there does nothing but stand by while she goes on her tirade,,they never clean the grounds of bldg., let trash sit by dumpsters for months.

Desire is rude, and so is chad. They try to con people out of their money and have very hateful attitudes. The pet fee is to high. Bad customer service!!! DONT GO THERE!!
