100% recommended. The shop was clean and all employees followed safe COVID protocol which i really appreciated. I was able to come in and get get my rear brakes, air filter, and windshield wipers done in one day. Service was professional and prompt, and communication was clear. Entire experience was smooth and prices very fair.

Customer service, vehicle service, and price were all excellent!Went in for new tires and an oil change about a month ago. After looking at multiple options, it was clear they had the best price for four 50k tires w/installation. I was also looking to switch away from the dealership for maintenance.The service manager Jeff is a pleasure to work with and I really appreciated the time he took to guide me through my all the different options.They also looked into a few funny noises I was worried about at no additional charge, and I left feeling like I had a good understanding of my car’s condition. That’s something I didn’t get at the dealership and I will definitely be coming back for my next service.Thanks,Samson

Pep Boys uses scare tactics to manipulate customers into paying for unneeded services. They tried to tell me I had a bad catalytic converter (on a Prius with low miles that had just been serviced by a Toyota dealer). They also claimed that I had a rats nest in my cabin air filter. They did not bank on my taking the glove compartment apart right there in the parking lot to check. The air filter literally had two maple seeds in it - no sign of rodent activity anywhere. They also did not check or top off any fluids - I left with zero windshield washer fluid. These people take advantage of their customers, especially those presenting as young and female.

Staff were extraordinarily helpful and friendly. I found myself in a mess when the key fob for my car broke and I couldnt start my car. Pep Boys was closeby, and I stopped in to see if they could help me. While they were not able to fix the broken key, I was grateful to the employee who at least gave it his best shot. I was given the name and number of a company that he uses in these situations. I left Pep Boys in a better state of mind then when I walked in. Im giving this shop all 5 well deserved stars. You just dont see good customer service like this very often.

The last time I was inside of this Pep Boys location the lack of inventory throughout the store was noticeable enough to inquire to the powers that be as to what the issue was with their shelves only being about half stocked. I dont know who the gentleman was that informed my friend and I that they are selling all the Pep Boys inventory to make room for their new inventory as the store is changing companies and is no longer Pep Boys? Either way he continues saying they are switching to some East coast auto company and he was either not pleased with us asking about the lack of inventory, or my claims of never hearing of this company they are switching to upset him or he himself is not happy with what is happening. Who knows? But happy he was not and the store having a great selection of items it did not.

Service techs are very disrespectful and very entitled. By my own visual confirmation, they do not take care of customers vehicles very well by driving them aggressively when behind the building and when confronted the employee raised his arm like he had every right. Just sad.

This is a service minded shop. They stand by their work even if it was performed at another PepBoys location. I’m not very savvy when it comes to car mechanics. I’ve been to other shops where they talk down to women. Jeff and his team are not like that. I highly recommend!

DO NOT COME HERE!I found some tires for my Fiat 500 Pop. They were a good price. I ordered the tires over the phone and told them my discount and the price I saw online.First of all, they didnt call me when the tires were in! I had to ask if they were in and describe basically everything about my order before they could even bring it up!I was promised 1 hour for a simple tire change. Im leaving the auto shop now, after 3 hours of run around.When the services were rendered, they did not apply my discount, stating that I had not ordered the tires online, but they didnt say anything about this when I first called them, telling them the price I was expecting.This is when it gets REALLY bad.Pep Boys parked my car and didnt set the brakes. My car ROLLED DOWN the HILL!!! And scraped another car! See the picture. My mirror and front corner are skuffed now! They said will get in touch with a body shop to make that right. Technician forgot to set the e-brake and the trans was in neutral! This is gross incompetence. Never coming here again.

Walked in for supply for a long trip. Needed help. As the only person in the store. Three people behind the counter never acknowledge my presence, stood directly in front of my of them. Did not even bother to look at me. Well, you lost a lot of money in sales, you lost a customer, you lost everyone I can talk out of coming to your store and you will be reviewed negatively on all of my accounts. Basic customer service. Basic! I am sick of the grumpy, unprofessional employees. I dont need to be coddled, a simple, hi, Ill be right with you would have been sufficient.

I work in the transportation and delivery industry so I am in and out of auto shops all the time figured I would give Pep Boys a try. Brought my 2013 ford fusion in for a basic oil change scheduled ahead on Thursday at 3pm not busy, 3 clerks at the desk and 3 mechanics in shop with 1 car on a lift took 2.5 hours to get my oil change. Are you out of your mind then they tell me I need a alignment, my tires are bad and breaks are shot I just had everything done and replace a week prior like seriously youre going to try the sleazy lying game to try and make a bigger sale come on do better be better lean in with honesty, thats how you keep those return customers and get new customers off of the words of happy customers I will be staying with my go to jiffy lube and les schwab they know the value of honest work 👌. I leave this review here as a warning to other potential customers and as a note to the establishment DO BETTER!

Love to shop there but I didn’t like my last trip. To keep it short and to the point one of the employees there wanted me to buy a new battery for my truck. Told me that battery is useless and broken. I was asking myself why if I just bought that battery last year. Well took it to another place and guess what....it just needed to charge!!! Wow people now in day can’t trust anyone.

Went in with a misfire code. Discussed repairs with technician. Gave them the go ahead.They changed a gasket, but did not even look at the spark plugs.Again, it was a “misfire” code. Wound up costing almost double the cost.Buyer beware!

Shout out to Jeff (the service manager I believe) best in the business!I was a little apprehensive about bringing the Lotus to a Pepboys at first. I had ordered Pilot Sport as3+ from Michelin directly and they were a recommended installer, so I thought why not give them a try?I set up an appointment with said order, but it did not process on Pepboys server. They were able to squeeze me in, despite being totally slammed with customers at that moment in time.He called a couple times to verify everything was correct, and was very apparent he was familiar with Eliges which was quite reassuring, as things can go awry in a hurry when a shop isnt.Anyway, this is now my new go-to when it comes to tires and wheels! Perhaps most important of all, they torqued the wheels to spec. I cant stand places that just hit em with an impact.Exceptional service, and well deserved 5 stars!

The auto area did a tune up and oil change and then after they were done I got more worst problems to my vehicle, I asked why my check engine light came on and the hesitation when I start my car, I never had a problem with my check engine light or worst hesitation until they did that, then I go back and Im told I need a new fuel pump assembly and a new thermostat, but I got to pay over $2,000 and that they will replace that, I feel that thats just not right its robbery and since they screwed up that they should fix without me having to put more money into fixing what they messed up on.

Cusromer comes first service. We took in a car that had bad noise coming from the front wheels. They could have told us anything and we would have paid to fix it, but they asked if the car had been sitting for a while, it had.. After a full inspection they said its just squeaky beatings that should go away after driving it a little more. They gave us 2 recommended service items but were honest with us and didnt pressure us to do it. We felt valued and will definitely return.

It seems the folks at this store make a habit of lying judging by the reviews.We took our Acura MDX into the shop last week to have the EGR valves replaced. We were quoted a around $800 but when we picked the car up we were told that they topped up our coolant at a cost of $19.99 without even asking us first. Now that’s bad enough but they called us to say that they forgot to add the Intake Premium Gasket Set so that was going to cost us an extra $130 which we agreed to, so why didn’t they ask us if it was ok to add on the coolant?Then this week we booked the car in again because there were two lights that had come up on the dash. One was the VMT4 light and the other the Check Engine light. We were told that Knock Sensor needed to be replaced and the total cost would be around $600. While they had the car, again they called us to say that something else needed to be replaced as someone prior to us had done a bad soldering job. We bought that car when it was only 5 years old. I find it hard to believe that anyone needed to solder anything on a such a high-end vehicle at such a young age. However, they said it would only cost an extra $23 so we told them to go ahead and do it.When we went to collect the car, we were told that the balance was a little over $1000. I argued that this wasn’t the price quoted and the Manager Jeff said that “my guys are usually good at quoting the overall price”. I argued that “his guy” quoted me $600 because otherwise I would have waited. Give him his due, he honored a 20% discount coupon that I had so this brought the price down to $876.85 in total.We then left the shop only to discover that the VSA light had come on the dash. My husband turned around and took the car back to the shop. He told Jeff that this light wasn’t on the dash when we brought it in, but Jeff argued that it WAS on. It absolutely WAS NOT. He said that it was documented but there’s nothing on our paperwork to say that it was on. On my paperwork it states that they performed an engine diagnostic at a cost of $99 + tax and that only the VMT4 light and check engine light was on. There’s nothing on my paperwork to state that the VSA light was on. When it became evident that they weren’t taking any responsibility for this he left and came home. I called to speak to Jeff, and he told me that the light was definitely on but they couldn’t diagnose the problem. I’d just like to repeat that “they couldn’t diagnose the problem”. Isn’t that their job??? He then said that my husband told him that the light had been on in the past. Once I spoke to my husband, he told me that what he actually said was that when the VSA button is pressed the light comes on. I also told Jeff that the only time I’ve seen that light come on was briefly if the vehicle was trying to gain traction in snow or ice but that’s what’s supposed to happen. It’s not supposed to stay on permanently. Even if the light WAS on when we took it in, why wasn’t any of this discussed with us when we picked the car up?Looking at the reviews it appears that these issues I’ve had seem to be commonplace with them. This is sad because we have used them in the past and have found them to be very helpful. I thought I had found a garage that we could trust not to rip us off, obviously I was wrong. I even recommended them to a friend who has just bought a used SUV. I’ll be rescinding my recommendation now unfortunately.I see here that their response to everyone’s negative comments are “Were sorry you had less than a 5 star experience. Please send your contact info and the details of what happened to [email protected] so we can investigate further for you. Thank you.” But honestly, what’s the point? If the manager of the store isn’t willing to get to the bottom of this, who will? Looking over the reviews, it appears I’m not the first this has happened to and I’m unlikely to be the last. It’ll be the last time they do that to us though.

My wife was having trouble starting her car, so we used jumper cables to get it started and then it died again. The next morning we went to this nearby Pep Boys and asked for assistance testing the battery in her car. When we drove around to the service door, we were greeted in a very friendly manner by the Store Manager, Jeff, and he took great care of us. It was before work, so we really didnt want to be delayed too long, but he quickly changed out her battery and we were on our way! Id definitely recommend this Pep Boys location to anyone looking for vehicle maintenance.

Great selection of items. The staff have been very helpful during my several visits. I like that Pep Boys participates in airline mileage programs. I use the airline website to link through to Pep Boys, then I order the parts that I need. I wait about a hour or less, then drive over to pick-up the parts.

I went in once when it was pretty quiet and was immediately greeted by an employee and he asked me if I needed help. I said I had come in for an oil filter and he asked if I needed help finding the right one. I actually keep the model I need with me, so I was fine on my own. He almost looked disappointed that I didnt need help, but in a good way. He was friendly and professional.Ive gone in when it was busy and was still greeted in a timely manner.The employees have always been friendly and I always feel comfortable going there for whatever I need.

They were excellent. They helped turn a bad situation into a great experience (the bad situation was not on them, it was due to a third party). There was a little trouble with getting the nuts to pop off of my Kumho tires, but they were forthcoming on what the issue was (the nuts were too tight), which was appreciated. I would rate their service as A+++, and will definitely recommend them to people I like.

Sasha took our car for a test drive to find out what was wrong. She did an AMAZING job!!! She was candid and staight forward. She didnt try to sell me. She let me know what was wrong, what it would take to fix, and honest projections. She is an AMAZING asset to the company! I will be searching her out to do ALL my vehicle repairs and diagnostics. August 2, 2019 This was my experience today, made an appointment for a Headlamp adjustment the day before. Arrived at the designated time, very poor customer service, left my vehicle, they said it should not take more than an hour. Not only will they break your car and then charge you for it, theyll get violently hostile with you right in the workplace. Ill start with the big thing: They tried to stab my friend behind the building.First, my friend came in unhappy with his service so my friend and a guy from the shop got into an argument.The argument settled down and they started talking business again. The employees told him to bring the car around back so they could look at what was wrong.When my friend did this and approached them the employee he first spoke to started talking like he wanted to fight then pulled a knife on my friend. The entire shop including the manager were antagonizing this situation and trying to escalate it.These people are dangerous thugs and are running a scam shop. They should be locked up, only reason they arent is because the manager blatantly said he deleted the camera footage.Edit: Obviously from the owners reply below he/she has proven that they are indifferent to hugely damaging claims and they merely prove my point more and help legitamize my story.

Dropped off Sunday night for a flat fix (after waiting 10hrs for a tow through Pep Boys tow service (not this stores fault, but just a word of caution with utilizing this service in the Everett/Lynnwood area)), finally fixed Wednesday. Tire was lost twice transferring between stores. Upon pickup, came out to my car in the parking lot with the doors unlocked...in Everett. The employees are nice and good about doing what they can, but the systems involved are too dysfunctional to give a good review/recommendation.

Was treated very unwell and basically mocked for having had questions about the services I was going to get done. Ended up only getting an oil change instead of that and a new battery. The oil change by itself took almost 3 and a half hours. I had an appointment set so it was not just a walk-in service which I would understand having to wait had it been. I called to see how much longer it was going to be and the man told me “things could get done a lot faster if he didn’t have to be on the phone answering questions like this one,” when it finally came time for me to pay I asked about their price matching policy and what it entailed if I showed him a competitors oil change price for cheaper- he told me the price match policy is only for written estimates from other potential shops against their estimates. While that is probably true, the policy also entails accepting competitors service prices as well- like an oil change. Which I paid full price for because he would not do the price match. Overall extremely dissatisfied and will never be going back.

My car broke down on the I5 while driving home from Seattle to Vancouver (Canada), and the tow truck driver recommended Pep Boys in Everett, WA. They helped us first thing in the morning when the shop opened. Everyone we talked to at this shop was beyond helpful, courteous, professional, and patient with us as they explained what was happening with the car (it was bad news) and helped us understand our options throughout the day. Had my husband call them about a battery change, they told him they would save our information, but then when I called later to confirm that they were actually going to tow my car to the shop, they told me flat out that my husband never called them when I know for a fact that he did. This place was nearby and offered lifetime wheel alignments. After purchasing the deal, I had alignment done and everything was fine, however I went in again BUT then all of a sudden they said my car needed this and that for a proper alignment for a total of $1500+!!!I went to another tire place and all they did was put air in my tires at the same PSI for each tire and guess what? No pulling whatsoever!!! Not sure about you other women out there, but I will tell you - I do not like being taken advantage of.When I asked for a full refund, the service manager declined!All I want is a full refund so that I can take my vehicle to someone who can do better.

Please do not go here, I’m begging you. Terrance Baker is the manager & he does not care what goes on there. We spent almost $2,000 dollars on simple things like tires & alignment & the vehicle has been in to this location 4 times to try to correct it. They were not capable so they sent us to a different location, (5th trip) where they resolved one issue but somehow created another, & now my vehicle is unsafe to drive. They even had to refund some of the money for incomplete repairs! DO NOT USE PEP BOYS IN EVERETT WA!!!

Dont bother with this repair shop, total waste of time. The Service Manager Hunter is a joke. Took my truck in that had a right rear brake drum that was getting hot to get fixed. He calls me back and says they did a inspection and I need all these parts that I recently replaced, I tell him I only want to fix the hot brake drum. He says he will look at it and never calls me back. I get there at the end of the day and he says he doesnt know whats wrong with it, and he would have to just start changing parts until he figured it out. What a joke. He said he couldnt do anything and I would just have to figure it out. I took my truck in to get fixed because I ran out of ideas of how to fix it. Now I wasted my whole day, and this shop is telling me they wont even fix it. Im so angry.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! One star is way too generous. This place has, by my worst estimation, exceeded my expected disappointment. I dropped my service van off for brakes on Friday night. I have spoken with several different people since then. Here it is Sunday evening and I still dont have my van back. This means I cant go to work on Monday. Besides the slow turnaround, the guy running the counter is not very smart or friendly. I wouldnt have come here if I had more options with our company fleet account. I will probably make a report with the BBB based on the number of others who have experienced the same poor service. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

God awful service. Car kept dying while taking heavy left turns. Tried to charge me $600 to replace a starter when other places (I called multiple pep boys) all said $400 and guess what? It wasnt even the starter and I told them that multiple times. They did a $100 diagnostic (which they said would take three days and then they called me twelve hours later) and everything came back perfect according to them other than the starter (which he even said he got working so that made no sense). I asked multiple times that they checked everything about the battery and they kept acting like I was crazy to even ask that. Rupert or something like that. I told them I wasnt going to deal with their bs, walked into the garage, drove my car into the lot and found that a loose battery cable had been the issue. It took me two minutes of looking at my car to realize this and I have no car experience. Overall they tried to charge me $720 for multiple things when the issue was a battery cable needed to be tightened.Go anywhere else. Do not go here.

0 stars. Came in for a wheel alignment and to change my shocks. Waited here in store for 3 hrs. They were done in 1 hr. But never informed me. They couldnt even do the wheel alignment because of another problem they found. Yet they charged me twice the original amount they quoted me over 300 bucks, and they also charged me 125 for the shocked changed. Went to the store the next day to ask how that happened, he just gave me a receipt, and said that was it. Next day, today, I am in the store yet again. Still waiting on an answer.

Ripped off and lied to. Called and got a quote for 4 tires and an alignment. I was told that i Was getting a great deal. Was told that the alignment had a lifetime guarantee. When i got there, i was told again by the service manager to my face that the alignment had a lifetime guarantee. When i picked up my car, i wax told that it was only for 90 days. Then i found out that the person that change my tires took my PERMANENT Valve stems off and replaced them with the crappy rubber ones. They had to be unbloted with tools to be removed. Those valve stems are special order and take a win and $20 to get. When u werent back the next day to ask why i had rubber valve stems, the tie guy said that i didnt need high pressure stems. Yet i had those put on for a reason. Then. They couldnt find the old ones. They tried to apologize and hand me a pair of metal Valve stems that wouldnt work on my rims. So now i get to dish out another $20 and wait a week for more valve stems. And for the price i paid for the service, i couldve got it cheaper at a more reputable tire shop.

Worst service ever!!! Just had new brakes and rotors put on. Took to Pep Boys for tire balance and rotation and they warped my rotors so badly it made car unsafe to drive. I called and talked to service manager and he said hed look at it but refused to take blame for damaging my rotors when they were the last ones to work on my car. So why would I want them to touch my car just to mess it up even more and cost me another $600??? No thanks!!! Never again!!!

Please read the reviews and believe. They charged my daughter close to $500-$600 dollars for oil change and brakes. She had to drive over 40 hours and her brakes were still not working properly after they installed them. Oil changes, well the techs need more practice, and the tires, yes they will strip the diddles that go on the tires. It happened to my car, one of my tires almost came off on the freeway, it was so scary, right after I left Pep Boys. All the negative reports are true, no surprise. There are a couple of techs that are sharp but the rest are just not dependable to work on vehicles. I noticed that every time the charge is super high for minor work and the work never last, nor is it safe to drive your vehicle afterwards. I was so disappointed because the Pep Boys in Texas that I was so dependent upon always did a great job no matter what, consistent, dependable, excellent customer service, and you could depend on an ETA for your vehicle, total knowledge of what they were doing each step of the way, and just all around great car care service. I went into shock with the Pep Boys in Everett, WA. Since I have used Pep Boys for years I literally have no idea where to go now. They need several staff meetings/seminars/conferences on customer service skills, and basic mechanical know-how. Just a refresher course on the basics of car maintenance, and please do not allow the newbies to work on vehicles without a mentor inspecting the work afterwards. They will ruin your vehicle, please think twice before going here.

My Low tire pressure light came on and I was near the Everett location and they filled my air pressure for free and that was great. They told to drive for a bit and the light would reset, if not come back and they would clear the code on the dash. Well i had to come back and the manger Russ told me it was going to cost 75 dollars to clear the code. He was not very friendly from the get go. I thought he was kidding but he was not. Does it really cost 75 dollars to clear the code? Hmmm....
