Car repairs can be some of our biggest expenses so I have to go where people prove to be honest and reliable. I’ve found that at the Green River Road Midas. Jasmine, Nick, and Jason were polite and offered me updates on how things were going and what the costs would be. They even inspected my whole car and gave me a written report on it. I needed a starter replaced on a Saturday morning and I was encouraged to bring the car in still and they would able to have it completed on the following Monday. I did so, and I received a call a few hours later that it had already been finished. The price was very reasonable and I have not had an issue since!

A little expensive as usual. Did a breakdown of repairs and didnt overreact saying everything needed done right now. Had plenty of work here.

Nick and the team in Evansville in Green River Road were so pleasant, quick and efficient for servicing my car. I have frequented this Midas multiple times within purchasing my car and often mishaps with this location. I am pleased to see this location under new ownership and/or management. This time was by far the best time! I had visited my family and somehow managed to bend a strut on my car during my commute. I called and he said to bring it in promptly for quick service and they will also be able to do an oil change as well. They did the required work and then some within 2 hours. He made sure I was safe to make my 3 hour drive home during questionable weather conditions. I am beyond impressed with this location and how they do business now. Great job technicians and management, you rock!

I cannot believe i bought tires from this company. Less than 3 months later brand new tires. Rear passenger tire picks up a sheet metal screw. I had to make an appointment for them tell me that they would be charging me over 20 dollars to get me back on the road. FYI I put the donut thats on my car now.I would never advise someone going to midas for anything after this experience

This shop is clean and knowledgeable, much better than it used to be. The new ownership and management team seem to have it together. They always have a good idea what’s going on and go out of their way to figure it out if they don’t know. Highly recommended.

DO NOT have Midas do ANY work on your car. They are thieves and V on every service Ive had done there. Make sure you check with other shops for pricing before trusting them.

I called Midas as soon as I heard my breaks making noises. The work needing done cost more money then I had and when conveying this to Midas, they worked with me, which gave me the ability to get the work needed done, making it safe for me to be back on the roads again. The customer and mechanical services I recieved were outstanding. As well as the timely manner the services were done in! I will continue to give Midas my automotive business!

My car had two problems occurring simultaneously and I did not realize it. I assumed it was a single problem. I thought the transmission might be going out. I took the car to a transmission shop where they found both problems: (1) a bearing had gone out in the driveshaft; they had to replace the driveshaft; (2) the brake was engaged and stuck on one of the rear wheels, which prevented the wheel from turning. The transmission shop does not do brake repairs. Since the wheel was stuck, I had the car towed to Midas for the brake repairs. When Midas completed the brake job, I picked up the car to drive it home. As soon as I pulled out of the Midas parking lot and got the speed up to around 30 to 40 mph I discovered that the car was shaking terribly and I immediately drove it back to Midas. They found that the transmission shop failed to correctly complete the driveshaft installation. Midas re-seated the driveshaft into the yoke and bolted it down securely, which fixed the problem. And they did not charge for that service. They also sent me a video and a photo of the problem with the driveshaft immediately prior to fixing it. As a separate issue, the anti-theft alarm sounded when I picked up the car from Midas. In fact, it happened several times while I was still in the Midas parking lot. I had not been having this issue prior to taking the car to the transmission shop and Midas. This was a new problem. After spending a few minutes trying to resolve the problem unsuccessfully, one of the guys at Midas suggested that I take the car home, disconnect the battery terminal cables, and zip-tie the ends of the cables together for a while to reset the onboard computer. When I got home and locked the car, the alarm sounded again. I did what the Midas guy suggested with the battery cables and have not had the problem reoccur since then. That was three days ago and I have driven the car several times since then with no problem. I appreciate the willingness of the Midas guys to go above and beyond in order to resolve problems. You don’t find that often enough these days.

We were traveling from Iowa to South Carolina. While driving through Evansville, IN my van started smoking so bad and it smelled terrible. I was overloaded with my own kids, and my grandkids. We were totally freaking out. We pulled in to Midas East, and they got us in immediately. My caliper locked up and they tried to first get it to loosen up. No success, but they did all they could before moving on to replacing parts. Midas East was the best stop I couldve made. They did everything they could do to make sure i was able to continue on our trip and they did it as fast as possible! I was afraid theyd try saying I needed all these unnecessary repairs. You know the thoughts, single mom traveling with kids..... Honestly I figured theyd try to screw me over. I was so wrong. They did nothing more than make sure I was safely able to continue on my way. I was told that when I get back home, I will need to replace my brake pads and rotor, because that caliper did cause damage, but they didnt insist I chose them and they didnt insist I do it right then and there. This Midas changed my view 100% on all midas shops. I wish I lived closer. I would take my vehicles to Midas Evansville East for absolutely everything. That is how impressed I was. I recommend this shop 110%. Thank you Midas!

I used to frequent this store for all my oil changes when I lived in town. Service was different then it is now. This was the only reasonable priced oil change I could find. Everyone else wanted $100.00 for a synthetic oil change. Unfortunately the service was very slow, slower then I remember. Still if your looking for a decent oil change that wont break the bank, this would be the place. Small waiting area with only a few chairs, small krueg coffee machine if your interested. I paid half of what there competitors are charging. Good luck, and bring a book if you come for service.

I love the fact you can make a appt. on Midis website, you can choose a time frame, and they call within the hour, I had my appt. within 10mins.Had my oil change done quickly, brakes done quickly also, appt, was at 9 called @ 11, oil change and brakes finished.

Took my moms car in there to get an oil change. She regularly takes her car there so I saw no issues with continuing. I scheduled an appointment and took it in early and asked that she get the same service she always does which was the high mileage synthetic. Instead they have her the regular high mileage oil and tried to tell me that is what she always got when I had her past receipts to prove otherwise. No quality control or customer service whatsoever.

Staff is friendly and thorough. Took care of my problem and helped keep cost low as well as prevent future issues. Staff also kept me entertained so the wait didnt seem too long. I actually enjoyed the wait for once. Job was done pretty quickly and again the staff done an awesome job keeping me feeling comfortable. Definitely the store to go to.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I never take my car to Midas..2 weeks ago I dropped my car off for an oil change and, my regular place didnt have any availability. My car is 6years old, 90,000miles, I am the first owner & have always had it serviced at the Chevy dealership. I dropped my car off for an hour and when I came back they informed me that I had a slow leak in my coolant system & my serpentine belt needed to be replaced. Said that it was standard use since my car had a little over 90,000miles on it. I never had any coolant dripping in my driveway nor had there been any coolant or fluid anywhere where the engine is housed. Ive never had any problems with my car & had it serviced at the dealership a month prior since my warranty was expiring. Now my heat is going out & there is no doubt in my mind that Midas purposely damaged my vehicle in hopes that I would fork over the $700+ for the standard use repairs.

I have a car with some of those difficult to figure out electrical issues that other shops didn’t want to mess with and he has been committed to help without it costing an arm and a leg. A careless mistake by the service technicians at this location almost jeopardized the lives of my children and I.I had my car serviced for the replacement of both front and rear brake pads. While still under warranty, the rear brake pads fell out of their housing, causing the brakes to fail WHILE I was driving. After my vehicle was towed to a third party auto repair shop, it was deemed that the brake pads placed on my vehicle by this Midas location was installed in a “sloppy” manner.I DO NOT recommend this shop for any repairs or installations. This was my second incident with this location and they have now proven that their service technicians can not be trusted to provide quality service.

My husband and I have relied on our east side Midas for repairs for the past year. The team has always been courteous, fast, and fair. Their exceptional customer service will keep us coming back for years to come!

My Father-in-law took his truck there on a very busy day. It took a few hours but they called with a reasonable quote. Super friendly staff and treat you like a human, not your gender.

My brake line burst while I was an hour from home. They got me in right away without an appointment and got it fixed by the next day.

Took my truck to have my front brakes looked at. They quoted me a price and my husband felt as if it was too high and wanted to go elsewhere. Once I got into my truck to drive it back home I noticed that there was a huge crack in my windshield. My windshield was fine when I got there so I called to see what happened. They stated that there was no crack when he pulled it out of the building and I must have done something on my way home. I would know if I had something hit my windshield as I was drinking back home. Definitely will not be returning to this location or any other one!!

These guys saved me a lot of money! I had a damaged wheel, found out that 5 lug nuts, a hub cap and some other parts would need to be replaced but these guys took the time to salvage as much as possible and had to change only the lug nuts. At dealership, they changed one lug nut for the price these guys replaced 5!

Seamed to be fast and good workman ship.But tail pipe has already fallen off.They dont have the warranty like they used too.If you want exhaust go to another place

EDIT: They now have new owners as of my visit in 2020. I can no longer give them 5 stars. They also now charge for diagnostic services when they didnt before. I had a terrible experience because they didnt inform me of the change before I waited an hour to figure out what was going on with my car. Needless to say, I went elsewhere. I recommend Thrifty Car Care.--I started going to this location because theyre open Saturdays and thats a must for me. Keith and all the employees Ive encountered with have been really nice. Theyre great about working you in without an appointment, which is always amazing! Ive never had an issue with them finding extra things wrong with either of my vehicles.

Got the tie rods and catalytic converter for our car done here. Service was prompt and professional, and more decently priced than the other shops I called to. I had to wait for auto parts warehouse they called to bring the tie rods, but thats to be expected for a part you wouldnt normally have on hand. Would highly recommend

Fast and honest service. Took my wifes car in because she said it was squeaking when she stopped. They could have easily sold a brake job, onstead after they inspected told me that the brakes will squeak when she brakes hard and that there was plenty of pad left.

They are not quick but they do a good job and do not try to upsell you.

I went in to get an oil change and once I recived my car back it started giving me alerts none stop. My car was perfectly fine before I took it in. I went back recently and all they did was run a test through it and told me they had no idea what it was. They are no help at all.

Worst experience ever! I called them on a Wednesday to set an appointment for Saturday which they were nice about but when I arrived to my appointment it turns out they did not have the air filter needed for mi car! I remember specifically asking them when I called if they had the oil filter needed for my car in which they respond yes if not we can get it in a few minutes. Not only I couldnt get my oil change but I drove all the way to evansville (I live and hour away) and wasted my time/gas for nothing!

Under new management!I swore the place off last time I went in there. When I got new tires a few weeks ago, at discount tire, they recommended I take it to Midas for an alignment. Several people spoke up at discount tire about how horrible Midas was on the east side, but the employee at discount informed us that it was under new management, and was a much better place again. They treated me right today!Went back in today, and they had the old manager who tanked the place back in there. I turned around and left.

I have been happy with the service in the past year. Always call me if another issue arises. This time my inspection sheet says I have a oil leak. No phone call from service department and nothing was said about it when we picked the vehicle up. Now I know you arent supposed to have a leak, so why no phone call and why didnt we go over this when I picked my vehicle up. I only know because I went over your inspection sheet on my own and I will be calling you next week about this. This is how you lose customers. Lack of communication doesnt sit well with me.

I went to this place as sort of a last resort when I needed an oil change while in Eville. Expected it to be a one time service, but I now drive 30 miles out of my way for all of my routine maintence. Courteous staff. Prompt service. Never pressure to pay for needless services. Make an appointment with these folks!

We went for a front end alignment & they managed to not fix it the first or second time & somehow managed to mess our car up. It makes this really loud rubbing sound now. So we went in the third time to get the alignment fixed AGAIN & they acted like they didnt know what the sound was trying to put it on us. They were very friendly, but not very good at their job. & the lead guy told us he got too drunk the night before & couldnt remember what we told him the day before. So I advice not to get an alignment there. Will not be going back.

Had a custom Flowmaster Exhaust installed on my 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo on 10/16/18 and they turned out fantastic, Manager went above and beyond what was asked of him, If you are in need of an Exhaust system this is where you want to go as well as any of your other automotive needs. A++++++++++++ experience!!!!!!!

My sister just brought her car in there for an oil change and antifreeze. She made it down the road and the engine light went on hot and she had to drive in the cvs parking lot. There was brown gunk spewing out. She is 64 years old and it was cold outside. Called a tow truck which costs her an additional 68 dollars. Its sitting in front of Midas and now she has to take at taxi back there in the morning. She better be first in line and not charged a penny more or you will hear from me. I gave you one star just to post this.

I had my alignment done and noticed it was worse after they did the work...my steering wheel wasnt straight and it pulled to the left also. I had it done twice at best one tire and never had a problem plus they are cheaper dont go to midas unless you have no other option its worth waiting to get in somewhere else. My son had them look at his car cause it was running rough. They said it needed a new head gasket and it wasnt worth the work opposed to the value of the car...well me and a buddy tried a few things and it turned out to be a senser on the exhaust...one dollar at the just yard go figure. Oh and not to mention I had to wait twice as long as they said I would apparently that is very common there

Its was ok I had a coupon for oil change ND tire rotation and they didnt do the rotation and didnt mention I picked my car up not happy with that at all!

I had them change my alternator, which they charged way to much. They were told to leave my keys in my car after they left so I could pick it up, they failed to do so. The next morning when I went to pick up the car my oil light came on, once I checked they broke the dip stick as well as a oil pressure sensor. Instead of telling me or fixing it they tried to glue them back together and hoped I didnt find it. Now I have to wait at this crap hole another day and hope they dont break anything else.
