This review is for Brandy, who is Dr. Allisons nurse (Dr. Allison is great, too, for the record). Brandy is 100% everything you could possibly ask for in a medical professional. She is compassionate, welcoming, friendly, informative, accessible, and kind. I have never had a better experience with healthcare staff. I am honestly sad that I have graduated because that means I can no longer receive care from Brandy and Dr. Allison. They are both incredibly good humans, and the university community is better because of them.

The new renovation and expansion of the health center is easily navigable, and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Id give zero stars if I could. had an awful experience where the nurse practicticioner (colleen something) made me feel like absolute trash when I tried to get in for a same day appointment due to severe symptoms I had been experiencing for days. basically told me i had wasted her time at the end of it and i walked out in tears. treating students that way is a serious problem...

So they claim you can reschedule online within 2 hours of the appointment. This is completely false. I had an appointment for primary care scheduled on a Monday morning, but found out Sunday that I needed to reschedule. They’re closed Sunday so I went online to cancel. Though I received an email and read on their website that I could cancel online within 2 hours of the appointment, I was not provided this option and instead a prompt instructed me to call the health center. Well I couldn’t get to the phone in time before they opened and they marked me as a “no show” which gets charged as $30 to your student account. So unhelpful and they hardly ever have appointments. Probably because they refuse to work with students in order to collect those no show fees. Just another kickback fund for UOregon.

As an individual who was too poor to afford health insurance prior to college for most of my life, I lived in fear of going to the doctor, filling my prescriptions, or even visiting the ER because it probably meant I wasnt going to be able to eat and create more debt in my situation. I was overjoyed to point I started crying when I found I could have health insurance through the university with my financial aid and finally, be healthy for once in my life. I had a UO Health Plan for over 9 months and was expecting to have it for a full year because thats expected. Unfortunately, if the University is not offering the last class you need in your last term before you graduate, the options are waste a lot of your aid waiting for it to be offered or take it somewhere else, graduate on time and budget, BUT have your health insurance ripped away because of things beyond your control. The peace of mind I had of not worrying about my well-being has been replaced with panic again. However, everyone knows the only valued here is Athletics and not Academics otherwise, Im sure theyd find somewhere in that budget enough to not raise tuition for who actually pay through loans.

Staff is friendly, pharmacy is quick. I cant speak to the quality of every doctor on staff, but my GP (Ken McClain) is caring and qualified.

This is NOT an ideal place for your child or children to go. The people that work here are very under qualified. They are just trying to scam students and multiple times I have been diagnosed wrongly the past 2 years. Go to urgent care or an actual doctor. You will be wrongly diagnosed and end up in the ER which is my case.

I feel that they dont SCREW around make you wait,tell you what wrong.The best Hosital around here.
