Amazing experience renting a car, due to Maria Sosa! I had the wrong check in time, my reservation was a mess. Maria went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me out, being kind and thoughtful throughout the process. It is hard to work in customer service these days and Maria is a true gem. If I lived closer, I would offer her a job myself. I will continue to rent with Alamo just because of the experience that she provided. Thank you Maria!!!

Alamo was able to provide me with a quality rental vehicle at a reasonable price. I made the reservation through Costco travel then added an additional driver using the Alamo website. Due to unexpected issues I arrived at my destination a few days early and picked up another vehicle. All was good until I went to pay for the Alamo vehicle on the day the reservation began. My reservation was easily accessible. I requested to pay for the vehicle and have it waiting for my additional driver upon their flight arrival so I could return to business. I was told I would have to pay an additional $15.00 per day for the additional driver and be there when the vehicle was picked up to verify the person picking the vehicle up was indeed the person who was shown in the reservation as the additional driver. All of their personal information was already in the reservation, including their drivers license number which was required to complete the reservation. I was then faced with a dilemma: Pick up the new vehicle and leave my second vehicle in airport parking until the 2nd drivers flight arrived or return to the airport several hours later to confirm the additional driver was indeed the person picking up the vehicle. If I left the other vehicle in the parking lot I would be faced with hiding the key somewhere and hope that the additional driver would be able to locate the key where I was hiding it. Same thing with the vehicle I was picking up from Alamo. Ultimately I made a decision to pick up the Alamo vehicle and return 4 hours later to provide it to my additional driver and then pick up my other rental from the short term parking lot. An unreasonable practice with an additional driver added prior to the reservation beginning. Otherwise this was a good experience with the rental but......

Never will I rent from this company. I rented a car to use and cannot bring the car back until 9 Am or 10 PM the night before. I am currently at the Olympic Trials to watch my daughter race and will not be able to spend any time with her after the race because I have to bring my car back the night before. My flight leaves at 6 AM. No drop off early in the morning. This is so upsetting!! I spoke to a costumer representative and they were very unprofessional to my situation. Extremely put off on the phone. I am in tears. I will never rent from this company again!

Was about to give a good review saying it was quick and easy. Then I got an invoice for $1 saying that the tank wasnt full. Super annoying. Had to fill out cc info on weird enterprise website, took a while. Dont they have my info? Why? I filled up at closest gas station lol.

Would have been 5 stars if the cost was a bit better. But, comparably, it was the best deal out of the options at the airport. You can get a car for almost $100 cheaper if you rent off airport since you avoid a lot of silly fees but those off site locations dont normally have after hours drops. Rented a compact and got upgraded to a Nissan Kicks. Would be a great car if you stay in the city but we were uo in the mountains. Most if the time going uphill and trying to get around the big rigs, the car was more like the little engine that could, but just barely. Overall a great car though with plenty of room for my wife and I. Staff was friendly, smaller airport so not so busy. Definitely recommend checking with Alamo when renting a car and join the rewards program for free upgrades and such.

I recently flew to Oregon and pre-paid to pick up my rental at the Eugene airport. As my plane deboarded, multiple people made their way to the Alamo counter, where an employee yelled at us that it was all one line for Enterprise, Alamo and one other company. With each new group that approached the counter, she would yell the announcement again, seemingly annoyed that we didn’t realize we shouldn’t line up at our respective rental car counters.Anyway, I had reserved a sedan — Hyundai Elantra or similar. The only option I was given was a Kia Soul. When asked if there was anything else available, I was told I could pay a significant increase for a Jeep Wrangler, and that a Kia Soul was actually one step up from what I paid for. I went ahead with the Kia Soul — I was exhausted at this point — and upon getting out to the lot, opened the door of the vehicle to a very obvious smell of cigarettes having been smoked in the car. However, after 2 flights (with a layover), and the unpleasant girl working the counter, I just decided to get going to my destination so I could get to bed.Prebooking and prepaying is great and more efficient than trying to get a rental car day of, but I will probably look into a different company next time.

Put in a reservation for an Economy-class vehicle. They apparently didnt have any so they upgraded me to a Mid-Size vehicle for no extra charge. The car was clean and drove great on our trip from Eugene to Portland. I have heard about the PDX staff being SUPER friendly and this is true! They took care of the return very quickly and capably. The shuttle from the rental facility to the airport is very convenient. I would definitely rent from them again.

I have been renting with Alamo for years. I always pay on time and I I do not owe any money I have proof to show and I recently came here first time at this airport. I was told I was on a DNR list. I rented a car last month and no problems so why today. The rep took long and seemed like he had no knowledge. Unprofessional and couldn’t help me. He was a chubby African American guy. I was not happy about it at all at 12am at night. Alamo needs to have better customer service. My wife was sick and didn’t feel well I had to rent from another company.

Alamo was great! Renting this vehicle was super easy. Both pick up and drop off clerks were very friendly, explained my options without trying to hard sale me into something I wasn’t interested in and I really appreciate that. Will definitely use them again.

Very good price for the 4 days I had the car. They even gave me a free upgrade because they did not have any more economy cars available. The staff were very polite and friendly as well.

I rented a car in Oregon and drove to view colleges with my son in Oregon and then up in Washington, where it was quite snowy. The car I got kept us safe as we drove from rainy Oregon into snowy Washington, including being in a snow storm. I then returned the car at the airport in Washington and the process was super easy.

This will be my yelp post ever and i am not happy at all. I made reservation a month ago for one week. The lady at the counter began a swift sales pitch of upgrading our vehicle for only $200.00 more. ( no deal) then she said ,tell me what you want. She was all lovey dovey ,filled with compliments trying to get me to spend more money. She said she would discount my original reservation with AAA . She told me i deserved a better car than what i rented. She told me the car i rented was a compact ,when in fact it was a midsize. She spun me around in circles trying to get me just sign without giving me a total. She said that when i booked i wasnt charged the tax and other fees.when i showed her my online receipt and told her to just give me what i initially requested. She became upset and her whole attitude changed. She went from lovey dovey to well , complete opposite. She handed me my contract and told me to go find a car and do the rest . She was rude cruel . She basiclly tried every trick. But really was uoset when i refused.Alamo was always my first choice. Im done , never again. Bye Felicia..

Very disappointed - had to wait 20 minutes to get a car. Also, just noticed on my receipt that I was charged a fuel charge of $55, even though I brought back the car full - there are other choices in Eugene, I wont go with Alamo again
