They charged me $300 to tell me the next day that they wont work on my vehicle due to its size. They viewed the vehicle multiple times before accepting the job and assured me they were capable and willing. No repairs were done and several engine components were disconnected and strewn across the interior, with mouse droppings and my own possessions scattered everywhere.

Highly professional and ethical. Considering that I need a new engine for my Hyundai, I had a great experience. I was recommended to take my vehicle back to the dealership because the engine is still under warranty. Considering how much a brand new engine would cost, I was pleasantly surprised that they considered my warranty and recommended for me to return back to the dealership. My car was so badly damaged, they suggested that I have it towed back for safety. They were very kind and compassionate considering my safety and liability. While waiting they offered me water and even gave me a carnation flower. I am blown away by their expertise, professionalism, ethics, and hospitality. I highly recommend Grand Garage.

To be honest, I was not happy when I was told that I could not use a $50.00 gift card for the oil change. Services came to $83.27. The card states that it could be used for anything over $50.00. Last visit when I was there, Pat stated that I could use it Other than that, everything was fine.

I have been a satisfied customer at Grand Garage for nearly 10 years now. I have had a variety of repairs done on my 16 year old truck over this time. Most recently I had to have exhaust/muffler repair and steering rack leakage fixed. The entire staff is friendly, courteous, and explains the nature of the repair very well. On every visit, they do a general inspection on my vehicle and let me know what issues could be coming soon. I have been extremely satisfied with the work as well, never needing to take the vehicle back because the repair was not done correctly. I highly recommend Grand Garage.

Theres never a time when Ive brought my vehicles there that I havent felt comfortable that Ill not only know for sure that all has been repaired but Ill know that they havent messed with the vehicle to bring me back to have something that wasnt wrong needing to be fixed. When they discover something wrong (that perhaps you didnt know) they photograph it for evidentiary proof by sending you a link with the pictures and what exactly is wrong. Ryan, the service writer, explains clearly what the issue may should you have questions. I like that they take sample fluids from various reservoirs (brake, transmission, power steering, etc.) of the vehicle and compare how that particular fluid SHOULD ideally appear when its healthy or has gone to the dark side. I visit the dealership only for factory recalls, now.

Grand did a great job. Provided a shuttle to get me home while work done. Afterwards, gave me a text rundown of work completed and what likely needed in future. Made the usual unhappy experience a good one.

I took my vehicle in to evaluate an issue with the cooling system as my car was overheating. Pat at the front desk did a very good job of documenting the issue I was experiencing. I noticed they are very thorough in the notes they take as well as documenting (with pictures) my vehicles condition. While I was checking out the owner of Grand Garage even came over and further described some of the tests they performed in determining the issue with the cooling system and other things to watch out for. I appreciate the thoroughness and professionalism. They even provide a shuttle service which really helps. I did feel valued and listened to as a customer and plan on returning for future repairs.

Accurate estimates, and if something isnt going the way they expected after you dropped it off, they check in with you before going forward with work. They get things done in a timely fashion, and everyone is friendly. They try to give you as many discounts as they can, too. Is it the cheapest place? Probably not, but this is the type of shop where you can build a trustworthy relationship and know theyre looking after your vehicle, not just trying to make money.

My 95 Silverado is my baby. My 25 yr old baby !! I brought it in with sooo many electrical issues from the a/c quitting to the wipers stopping midstroke and the right power window being possessed. Ive passed this place countless times and even delivered pizza there.I had taken my Baby down to Chula Vista and they had no time soooooo I decided to do it local.Good move on my part !! Pat is their counter guy. He was ever so polite and listened to my problems. He asked questions and passed my concerns on to the techs. He explained the cost for a electrical diagnosis but said if it fell below the quoted cost he would credit it back to me. Sweet.It started at $1000 plus and I was ready to absorb the cost to get my Baby back on the roadI get a call from Pat around mid morning that my truck was ready. He cut and shuffled things around gave credits accordingly. I was getting ready to leave and he stops me. I need to give you $247 back. Something to do with the blower motor BUT I didnt care. He could have let me drive away and I wouldnt have been any wiser. Thats major props !!Im happy, Baby is running tops again. They also did a 31 pt service and Ill use that as a guide to continue getting Baby back to original condition.Props to the folks at Grand Garage and to the A1 counter guy. WOW WOW WOW! These people are so nice and honest. I do not know how fast their service is on other days, but today is a Monday, and they got me in and out ... pronto! I went in for preventative service so nothing was wrong. Just making sure that the car was in good working shape. Most dealers or mechanics may choose to upsell me, but they were honest and offered services that I could have, but they said that I could wait a few months before considering the services. Took my 97 Toyota Avlalon Xl to get a complete diagnostic all they told me was that it would cost to much for it to get fixed , they told me that they would not work in it

I went there back in 2014 because my car didnt pass the smoke check so I went here for help. A couple of guys were there, one in the counter and the other siting in front of him talking. I came in, the guys first ignored me and kept on talking for about five minutes until they finally decided to greet me. I told them my cars problem and took a look at the report from the smoke check shop where I took my vehicle. Then they simply told me to buy some product that can help it pass the smoke tests and did not even bother to look at my car. I felt so unwelcome here. I was a customer here when Mike was in charge but apparently he is not in charge of this shop anymore. Mike was so much nicer and serviceable. Im not coming back here after this disappointing service I received.

When we first took our Beetle to Grand Garage, the problem recurred a week later after a $460 repair. Initially irritated, I called the owner who asked me to bring the car in at my earliest convenience, and worked with me until the problem was resolved. The replacement fuel pump, which seems unrelated to the ECU, was causing spurious faults, probably via the fuel gauge sending unit. The fuel guage is still quite inaccurate, but the car is fine other than that.If you have a VW and are looking for service in Escondido, go to Kotters VW. But Grand Garage is an honest, well-run shop.
