My son has been going here for years, for my Daughters birthday, Chris put together a package and a great deal on a headunit for her car, so she could have bluetooth, back up camera, and apple car play. He was easy to talk to, he was funny, and he installed it flawlessly.

Very unprofessional, Ive called this week and last week to make an appointment for an IID calibration and this dude named Chris says hes super booked everytime I call, also said he doesnt want to do them anymore would not recommend for iid calibration or installation, honestly dont think they would be an ideal recommendation for any auto service given this dudes attitude towards his job.

I just recently bought a car stereo from this place and I have to say I had a great experience there.The 1 guy operation took his time to answer my questions even know he was busy with other customers cars,as long as this place is open I will go back to do business again with him Thank you

My whole family has used Al & Eds Autosound and have been thoroughly pleased. Moreover, I dont even live in the state and I called Chris for advice and he was kind enough to walk me through part of my installation, even though I didnt buy anything through him. I was in the market for an alarm system and car stereo and stopped in to get pricing. The person at the front counter was pretty uninterested in really helping at all. His attitude was horrible. I was looking at somewhere around $1200 worth of stuff and had cash to pay.I asked if he could print out a quote of the work and he refused.I aCalled back a few days later to setup the appointment for the alarm to get done. Same poor attitude over the phone. When I tried to set up a date he gave me something over 2 weeks out and told me before he would do anything he wanted me to come and leave a deposit.At that point I went with another stereo/ alarm place in Kearny Mesa who were more than happy to make my appointment for the very next weekend.No attitude and no hassles. I just bought a new car & I wanted to upgrade my sound system but leave the original head unit. I shopped around & was given several quotes & I went with Chris. He did a great job with my system & saved me $$ on taking his advice on how to go about it. Sound deadening makes a HUGE difference. I dont know why I never had it done before. You guys did great. Chris at Al & Eds Escondido is a mechanical genius. Hes been able to diagnose and fix the radiors on three classic cars Ive brought in. Very reasonably priced as well.

The owner Chris is completely unprofessional and its amazing this place is even in business. I was in here a week ago to have an ignition interlock device removed and he got incredibly snobby when I asked him simple questions about a dmv form I needed. The form I needed was supposed to be overnighted to his shop (not his fault since he wasnt the one that shipped it). When I told him I wasnt supposed to leave without it he said Well then I guess youre going to have to sleep in the parking lot Totally unprofessional, rude, and undeserving of your business. Avoid this place like the plague.

The they seemed very knowledgeable .I was looking for parts and its not that kinda place .. But The system that they just finished installing looked and sounded clean and tight. The sound was crisp ,clear stronger than I could use but would 🤫 . Custom installs appear to be there forte

Excellant customer service! I purchased a part from Chris at Al & Eds for a stereo I was attempting to install on my own. Chris was beyond helpful and I could not have completed this job with out him.

Walked in today to have someone look at my DVD overhead unit and Chris DeNarto (owner) referred me to the Oceanside location, since I bought it there ((good). Things turn quickly sour when I asked other questions regarding my unit updates and new equipment available. Mr. DeNarto apparently could not leave his store since he was alone ( that’s fine), he failed to identify this from the beginning and became very irritated when I kept asking questions. He did not like how I told him that i would make sure to write a review due to his poor attitude. Things got a bit heated and was asked to leave after I informed him that a simple “hey I’m alone and cannot check your vehicle at this moment, but I can schedule you for later” this would have been more appropriate, then the irritation and frustration this person demonstrated. Overall poor customer service.

I called and at first the gentlemen sounded pretty nice. I asked him what it would cost to install a Line Out Converter, he said around $50 if I remember correctly. I then asked him about disabling my Cadillacs Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) amd his reply was;Him: well YOU can disable it by disconnecting the 3 mics in the cabin.Me: I was asking you as in can you do that too?Him: Well thats gunna run you another $159 for parts and labor so youre looking at $200+ already Me: Hung upHe said it in this snobby little upset boy voice like he didnt want to do his job for money.Anyways, I went down the street to AudioSport and had everything done for me for $120 in less than 30min with exceptional service. Dont waste your time with this business, they dont want it anyways.

They did a great job and the price was good for what I needed done. I will be back.

He is not very friendly. I pressed on and he softened up a bit. I buy equipment there but dont install it there. He always tells me that I should go back to where I installed my equipment. He is very knowledgeable about stuff though so if you can get him to help you , his information. Is spot on.

He was rushed and I can relate to the last few reviews as I felt he is short tempered and just wanted me to go away. Ill never attempt to bother you guys again. Went into this place looking to get a quote for my 2016 Hyundai Sonata I wanted to get a sub woofer and new speakers installed at first they told me the price was going to be around $560 but when I went back to schedule the appointment and proceed with the purchase price went up $300 to around 800 almost $1000 you’re crazy if you think I’m going to spend $1000 on speakers for a small sedan the guy missed quoted me which I don’t believe is right and he made no attempt to try to work with me at all even after I told him what he told me earlier about the prices.

After previously calling and talking with (presumably Chris) about adding an aftermarket head unit to my older Ford Expedition, I stopped into Al & Eds today to have a look at them in person. I had asked on the phone and again in person about making sure the rear DVD entertainment system would still work. Both times I was assured it would, as this was important (to my daughter anyway). I ended up picking out a modest media player head unit and the shop wasnt too busy so had him install it. Came back a couple hours later and tried everything out, and was disappointed to find that the rear DVD audio wasnt working thru the headphone jack. Chris explained that this was not possible without the factory system and that only the wireless headphones would work (which we dont have). I had my daughter with me and signaled her to break out the puppy dog eyes. So after some head-scratching and groveling on my part he offered to open up the dash and see if he could wire something up to get an audio signal from the DVD into some headphones. He quickly wired up a tap into the harness and voila! we had sound. He even went the extra mile to pull the center console and run a headphone jack to the back next to the old one. Now were all set for our road trip! Bluetooth and USB media in the front for Mom and Dad, and DVD with headphones in the rear for the kiddo. Thanks to Chris for taking the extra time to get us sorted out. Happy customers we are!
