Apartments are beautiful and this is a prime location! Would highly recommend anyone to live here. The staff has been so helpful and quick to respond. Professional and classy!

Things get shoddily fixed with band-aid solutions so you have to keep calling to get anything done. Management never really picks up the phone, calling 2 or 3 times with no answer so you have to wait an hour and pray you get an answer. The locations ok, but you better hope you get good neighbors. Anytime EPD does anything you will hear it, helicopters, drones, sirens, etc. Everyone also has dogs so if thats not your thing dont even bother.

First of all, the complex is located in a prime location- near grocery stores, gas stations, and the freeway. The apartments are great with washer and dryer included and a garage! Most importantly the staff- Amy, Nick, and Chris are extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant one!

My wife and I have lived here for over a year now. We were originally in a 2 bedroom which Is a great layout for roommates but we decided to downsize our life and Lilia the community manager was a great help. She made everything so easy and effortless with the move into a one bedroom. I’m happy that we live here and Lilia is one of the best people I have come across at any of the places I have rented from. I highly recommend these apartments.

We have recently had a wonderful experience here at Alta vista. First, Dan the maintenance guy does a great job. Every time I have a problem is he is able to fix it right away.Second, I also love how well kept this place is it is always clean. Third, every time I walk in the leasing office Lilia and Felicia do such a great job on making me feel at home. I’m a military wife and we’re far away from home so it means so much to me that I can walk in there and pick up my package and always leave with a smile on my face. Overall, I give this place a 5 stars!

I have 2 little dogs that are my life so finding a dog friendly apartment was the priority. I had no idea how many EXTRAS I would get when I toured here, or how beautiful this community is. Pictures do not do it justice. Once I knew I liked Alta Vista best of the 20 places I looked at, I read reviews. What most convinced me to move here were the reviews, and now I am writing a review to endorse renting here. The remodeling they did is breathtaking! Everything is new, modern and beautiful. Having a garage, pool, gym, jacuzzi and a view is amazing. I took a ground floor 2 bedroom, with 2 full bathrooms. It has dark hardwood looking flooring that looks beautiful and is dog friendly. All my stainless steel appliances had never been used. No other apartment I visited had the closet space Alta Vista has. I barely hear my upstairs neighbor and it is quiet at night.The staff is great!! Dan the Maintenance Guy, Ghada and Nancy Lopez were very inviting, helpful and patient. Everyone is really nice and come across as loving their job and really caring about their tenants happiness. We worked the most with Nancy and we just love her!!! She is so funny, sweet and helpful. She knows her job inside and out and made the process easy. She also has excellent follow up and made sure we completed our paperwork so we didnt miss out on the specific apartment we wanted. I love it here so much, I already referred a friend that moved in immediately with her dog. Alta Vista came through right away with the $250.00 Refer-A-Friend check.Bottom line, this staff makes all the difference and the remodeling feels luxurious.... I am very happy so my dogs and I give 5 stars!

This place is great! I have been living here for just about a year and couldnt be happier. I like the staff a lot and consider them to be friends! Sometimes I just go into the office to talk to them about anything and everything! Im very glad that I can be personable with them and that they allow it. Service is great! Maintenance is on point! Keep up the great work guys! As long as my rent doesnt go up, Ill stick around for years! I really do consider this place my HOME now!

I have lived at Alta Vista for a contractual period of 2 years.I had always complimented the staff for their handling of the 20-plus repair requested during my stay. The buildings have serious sewage problems and other continuous repair needs.However, it appears that the niceties end when one needs to part.In this regard, I have given repeated, timely notices to vacate at the end of the lease to both the manager and her superiors - all of which have fallen in deaf ears. Instead, I received a monthly statement for an additional month. This, a bit similar to the practice of demanding exhorbitant rental fees to induce a tenant to sign another lease - as was done before.Unfortunately, this time, for each and all of those in management, this extortion to extract additional rent will be costly and protracted.I had hope to simply be done with the contract and seek better rental places.Caveat emptor.

Top notch from top to bottom. Dan the maintenance manger takes care of the minor repairs you need instantly. The office crew, Godha and Nancy are two of earths best creatures. They made me a great deal. Some days they stand at the bottom of the hill and give coffee and donuts to us on our way to work.The complex is clean and has lots of amenities. They have garages with remote control, lots of open parking. Beautiful pool area that is always perfectly clean. The gym is small but never used and you can get a great workout. Washer / dryers, disposals, dishwashers, and microwaves. The two bedroom, two bath layout is a perfect share. Im never moving.

Wonderful staff and great place. Neighbors are very friendly too and always greeting.Pet friendly, so it is nice that my doggo can meet other puppers.Other than that I have a nice view of east side of Escondido.

I absolutely love the community and the management/maintenance team. It’s clean, quiet, and incredibly well managed. We’ve lived a multiple properties in the past, but none as well cared for as Alta Vista. Lilia and Felicia are always a pleasure to work with, and Dan is a real life super hero. I haven’t had a ton of maintenance calls, but Dan always shows up ASAP and gets the job done. He’s super proactive about maintenance; whenever we see him out and about, he always asks if there’s anything our apartment might need. I’ve been burned by a few different properties in the past, but Alta Vista has my full confidence. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking in the area.

Its great living here. Quiet property & gorgeous views. Ghada, Dan & Nancy are friendly & caring. If theres ever a problem its taken care of immediately. I have been a resident here for 3 years & recommend it to anyone who is looking to move.

These apartments set a higher standard of living for the area of Escondido. The complex is perched on top of a hill in its own quiet area with nice views and privacy.My wife and I moved in to a 1 Bedroom at the end of March in 2018, and just finished a 12 month lease handing over the keys today.The move in process was very easy for me and you wife who was pregnant at the time. She actually was able to handle everything online and over the phone from Chicago; where she was staying while I was deployed to the Middle East. Regardless of having very little contact with me, Lilia and Felicia (the leasing agents) were able accommodate us. We got a move in date the weekend after I returned to San Diego.The morning I moved in, I was at the leasing office getting all of the paperwork situated before I had to meet my movers at my storage unit on time. My wife was still in Chicago waiting to fly in later that night. To my relief they were able to get me through the process super-fast so that I wasnt late to meet my movers to get everything from storage. A lot of documents were done online so it wasnt a lot of papers to go through.After getting settled in, I met Dan the maintenance representative who is very friendly and devoted to the upkeep of these apartments. I quickly learned that I was in good hands if anything in our apartment needed repair. He actually lives on site, and any time I have had any issues with my apartment it has been very easy for us to put help requests. He will show up in a timely manner and get down to the issue.Parking is now assigned and you will get your own spot to park in, or garages if you have a two bedroom. I also specifically enjoyed the gas stove top and Nest thermostat that can be linked through Wi-Fi and you can adjust the A/C or heat from your phone.Altogether I highly recommend Alta Vista apartments to anyone who wants a greater quality of living, and Military families that could benefit from the flexibility of the team here. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here so much we upgraded to a two bedroom, now that we have a little one.

When I first moved into my apartment in May 2009 I was really disappointed. Door knobs were missing, light bulbs were burnt out, and many other things. It was a mess. I complained to management and they took a while to get everything in order. A little bit later the property manager was let go and they brought on Amber. Amber quickly changed everything that was wrong with the complex. She does an amazing job and works very hard on keeping the tenants happy. Also, Umberto the maintenance guy is probably the hardest worker I have ever met. He always does a great job and is willing to stay late just to make sure the job is done right.This has been one of the best communities I have lived in.

Stay Away. Classic bait and switch.I went to visit this place based on an advertisement I saw on Craigslist. I called to confirm that I would be able to check the place out when I arrived. On my drive over I got a call from a very young man, maybe high school age, who informed me that the rent had increased by $75/month since we spoke on the phone just moments ago. His excuse was that I was looking at an old ad. The problem here is that I had viewed the ad just 30 or so minutes ago. The ad described a two bedroom with a spacious garage. When I arrived I learned that the garage was shared so you get half of a garage and NO GUARANTEE that whatever you store there would remain because you have no way of securing it against theft from neighbors or your neighbor just being careless and leaving it unlocked. This, of course, did not appear in the ad. I could go on but there is no point. This is a classic bait and switch operation. It all begins with a nice heavy dose of fraudulent advertising. I wouldnt sign a birthday card here let alone a lease.

Very poor experience. Went without air conditioning in the heat of summer for weeks and without heat for over a month in winter while my wife was pregnant. Maintenance requests took forever to fulfill. Neighborhood is very loud and full of inconsiderate tenants and when brought up to office staff nothing was done. Expect dog poop everywhere, loud vehicles, drunk people and homeless people digging in the dumpsters in the am. They will raise your rent a minimum of $100/year. Eventually we couldnt take it any more and canceled our lease. We requested a walk through inspection and were denied that right. They kept our entire deposit for ludicrous cleaning fees (over $200) even though our apartment was cleaner than when we moved in. When we brought up these issues Lillia threatened to charge us more money. It took them over 38 days to send us receipts and proof of withholdings. These people are scammers and dont care about you as a tenant other than your money. I could go on and on but this place is shady at best and the office staff is deplorable in all aspects besides their fake friendly facade. The apartments on first look appear nice but they are ultimately polished turds. Definitely look elsewhere. You can find nice places on the coast cheaper than this rip off.

We have lived in these apartments twice, once in 2010, and again in 2014, we loved the fact they allowed dogs, ( yes, with a fee) but still allowed. both times, we rented the mid level ends, so we had an attached garage ( which not many apartment complexes have), and each unit has a laundry machine and dryer, which was great, ( no sharing! or having to shell out tons of quarters on a community laundry)the work out room is small, but wasnt used much so it was easy to get time in there without a crowd.we lived there the 2nd time when Ghada and dan worked there, and didnt have the issues that other reviewers have had, if something was broke, it got fixed in a timely manner ( fridge, oven, and garage door)

THIS IS PLACE IS HORRID!! BEWARE AND DO NOT BE FOOLED BY 5 STAR RATINGS!Let me first say that the manager, lilian is one of the worst human beings Ive ever dealt with! She will NOT manage or solve your concerns at all! My fridge broke twice in 4 months, each time having to throw all my groceries away and she was unwilling to compensate me. Then the third time, it broke, it broke down completely and she finally replaced it with a fridge from another unit! Again, I had to throw all my food away as they dont deal with maintenance items on the weekend and nothing is an emergency unless you have no running water for example. So that means, you will not get your items fixed if they break down that day, instead, you have to make an appointment with the maintenance man, Dan, and hell come and fix it the next day! And instead of permanently fixing the problem, Dan puts a band aid on the problem only for it come back later! My clothes dryer doesnt dry my clothes even after 80 minutes, but Dan says thats normal. I complained to lilian and she said that all the dryers are like that and there is nothing she will do.Also, there are garages below my unit that belong to other units and they open and close them all day and night and its driving me crazy!!Also, many of the people living here must not work, because there are marijuana parties at least 2-4 weekly and nearly every weekend. The music, the loud chatter, the laughing, and the marijuana orders at 2 am while im trying to sleep is out of control and affecting my life! Calls to lilian of course yielded no help. She told me to call the courtesy patrol the next time it happens. Of course it did happen again and when i called the courtesy patrol on one night, they didnt pick up. So the next day, i called lilian and she said that they discontinued the patrol service because they were not patrolling the area at all! SO WHY DID SHE TELL ME TO CALL THE PATROL EARLIER!!?? SHE REFUSES TO RESPOND!Also, beware that this complex is located within close proximity of the police station so you get to hear sirens non stop in escondido!Lilians moto is pay your rent and shut up! Zero help from her! How she got her position as a manager, even the wisest among us will never know! And Dan should actually go fix something versus watching me walk my dog from his little golf cart! My husband and I cant wait to leave this dumpster of a place! THE WORST PLACE EVER IN ESCONDIDO, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
