Hello I am a current resident of Reidy Creek Phase 1. I have been here now through at least 4 managers and I must say I debated on posting this but last week I spoke with Martha and I’ve dealt with her prior to her becoming manager. Her attitude is not professional. She lacks basic customer service. This place use to be managed by a very nice gentleman who made things happen. He was very knowledgeable and provided the best service consistently. I spoke with others around me. My neighbor has also gotten the run around about a garage with her for weeks. Good luck having her run this property. I’ll be giving notice when my lease expires after many years at Reidy Creek.

So I have been living here for 9 months and I decided to check the rating on my apartment. Saw the first review on top was a 1 star mentioning water going off all the time and such. I have never had such experience. Anytime I had questions or have something checked out Angie had been helpful each time... Then again I never called I just walked over. I like human interaction. Other than that the place is really nice for what you are paying for. Cant have two people shower at the same time water heater doesnt like that (understandably). My AC is good but not great. My roommate gets the better deal on that part, as it hits everywhere just fine but doesnt make it to the master room well. Im sure there are other things that but me a tad but nothing that really comes to mind. That said I am pretty happy with my little home.

I’m seriously so frustrated living here. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. After 2 months living in the apartment the new dish washer that they had claimed to be new, flooded my kitchen. I had to use all my towels just to try to drain the water. They told me this is due to Rats! Wait so I signed a lease not knowing you have rats in the apartment!? The manager said “it’s normal due to the lake near by” seriously! If that isn’t bad they constantly cut of the water due to construction which isn’t right! I have to go to a friends house when these things happen just to get ready for work! Then, another flood happen due to the toilet and did get some help with providing towels. However, I haven’t been here for a year yet and already dealing with way too many inconveniences. Not worth it! If it wasn’t for Covid 19 I would have left already!

Highly recommend!!! The property manager came to my apartment to fix a minor problem because maintenance was busy and he fixed the issue. It says a lot for the service & commitment of management. The apartments are beautiful, well maintained with great washers, dryers, and appliances . Very friendly staff!

The apartment its self is very nice! No problems at all, I actually loved it.But the management in this place really sucks. They dont try and work with you at all and very unorganized. For example I had a schedule walk threw date so they could tell me if I had to fix anything before I moved out, they told me between 9am-5pm and guess what no one showed up. Then I have a husband in the military who is going on deployment and he gave his orders that he has to leave and they are gonna charge him more then $400 to stay for 6 days. And are not willing to work with him so he could leave before that. So If you want a nice apartment this place has it but as for the management they suck!

NEVER AGAIN! Avoid this place! My roommate and I lived in Reidy Creek for 2 years and we could go on for hours about how terrible our experience was with the management, In particular the manager Katie. First, a little about the complex. In our two years of living there, there have been 3 car break ins, 1 on the main road, this car was lit on fire, the other two were in the assigned parking spots and had windows smashed in. This brings us to the next point, parking is absolutely horrible. There is 1 spot assigned per unit, they will charge for an additional spot but from what I’ve gathered, it’s very hard to obtain a second permit. It is an even bigger challenge for guests to find spots. Next, the sirens, Morning view is a main road that emergency services take to get into major parts of Escondido, and with that comes the loud sirens and flashing nights at all hours of the day/night. The most troublesome part was when it was police cars making arrests in the complex. Not only were they called out there late at night, but someone was almost always arrested. Speaking with a maintenance worker from Reidy creek, he mentioned that he knows of domestic abuse calls and drug usage going on in the complex.Inside the apartment, many of the appliances were old and out dated, unlike the model they show you. Our fridge stuck out so far that we were unable to open the dishwasher, so we never once used it for the 2 years we were there. Our oven/ stove was missing a corner foot so when we cooked, the food would slide to one side of the pan. I informed management but nothing was ever done. None of the cabinet doors would shut fully and would always leave a quarter inch opening. The Washer and Dryer, although awesome to have in the unit, would vibrate the entire apartment floor. I can only guess how the neighbors felt. With that, the walls are paper thin, many a night my roommate and I were able to hear clearly our neighbors conversations. Very awkward when they would be arguing or making love. Now, you may wonder, if we hated this place so much, why did we stay for 2 years? Well, when It came time to renew our lease after the first year we asked for our renewal notice to be sent out as early as possible as we would be traveling internationally for the last 3 weeks of our 12th month. Management said this would not be a problem at all and were happy to help; well we got the notice 2 days before we were to fly out. We had 2 days to figure out if we would renew the lease or turn in our 30day notice to leave. The next problem we had with Katie was when she accused us of having a large black dog in our apartment and not paying pet rent. We have a small white dog so there was no possibility of confusion. It got to the point where she threatened to evict us if I did not pay for the large black dog. Management finally back off when we called the police to file a breaking and entering report. We did this because Katie had said she had seen a man enter our apartment with a large black dog. The interesting thing was, she had seen a person entering our apartment at 7:31am (she had emailed herself a reminder). Well my roommate and I leave the apartment at 7am every morning or we will be late for work. We requested Katie to speak to the police officer and give a statement as she witnessed a crime, the officer never heard from her, nor did we. Before we involved the police, they also tried to charge us $50 to have the locks replaced. We understand that management wants to keep the complex clean and presentable, but we had a problem when we were not allowed to display a 3 inches by 5 inches American flag and welcome sign in our window. The major issue was that other apartments had full on jungles growing in their patio areas and we were not allowed a small flag or welcome sign in the window?! If you drive down Morning View, you will see that in one patio, the resident has built a gazebo type structure that hangs out of the boundaries of their patio wall.

Poor!!!!I moved into Reidy Creek 12/01/2012. At the time of the initial walk through, I voiced my concerns that the apartment was an old apt w/ stains and chips on the counter tops, stains on the carpet, old washer/dryer, old dishwasher, no drip pans in the stove, and stains on the base boards behind the toilet. I was told that because it was not a refurbished unit they understood and I would not be charged for those items. I bought out my lease 06/14/2013 due to a new home purchase. I received a letter today stating that I owe Reidy Creek $340 and they are keeping my $600 deposit because: they are replacing the carpet $1050 + $55 for enzyme treatment (I dont own pets), Im sure the previous tenants did, that would explain the carpet stains when I moved in, $75 pest control (Isnt this something they are supposed to do),,,just a FYI.. I am a very clean person no critters ) $20 for Non existing drip pans, $225 to re-glaze kitchen counter tops that were chipped and stained from the first day I moved in, $55 new paint (We spot cleaned walls before we left), $130 cleaning (I professionally cleaned the apartment before I left). Reidy Creek are a bunch of Reidy Crooks...I lived in this non-refurbished apartment for 6 months, now they are trying to charge me to refurbish their unit. I am going to sue them!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could give them zero stars because living here was HELL. DO NOT live here the main woman in the office is rude and never answers the phone but if you walk into the office she is on her phone or talking to another employee. The other guy in the office Justin knows nothing and is the opposite of helpful. The two of them blame each other for their mistakes. Every month they shut off the water because another pipe burst so you can’t shower or brush your teeth between ten hours in one day. They “lost” our rent more than once and would not offer a receipt (thankfully we asked for one) good thing we had a receipt or they would have no proof we paid because they lost it. When we finally moved they tried to tell us we had to pay to replace the carpet because we there conveniently the renters after 6 years and that’s when the carpet gets replaced, they also sent our deposit check to the WRONG address 3 times!!! They are so unorganized, do not care about tenants, and are not educated on the apartments or regulations. On top of shutting the water off constantly with little notice, they let themselves in to your apartment A LOT when you are not home to look for “water leaks” so unprofessional.

My wife and I moved out of here in Dec. 2015 after living there for a year. When we found a new place we wanted to rent we filled out all the necessary paperwork, and gave them a deposit to hold the place. We were told we would here back once everything had cleared. After about a week and a half of waiting we called to see why we hadnt heard back yet. We were told that everything looked great and checked out, and that the only thing they were waiting on was for Reidy Creek to return the verification of residency/rent form. So we waited a few more days and didnt hear back again, so again we called. This time the lady told us that she had called Reidy Creek to ask for them to return it and this time they told her that their fax machine wasnt working, so could they email them the form. So she emailed the form to them and still hadnt heard back, she told us she would call them again and ask. The next day we called a third time and this time she told us that Reidy Creek had finally returned the form, but all they did was scribble 30-day notice not received across the entire page and returned it unfilled. As you can imagine, this outraged us, it is none of Reidy Creeks business if/why we have not yet given our 30-day notice, perhaps we were going to rent to places simultaneously. The real reason is that we were waiting to ensure we got approved for the new home before we gave our 30-day final notice to our current landlord. Did Reidy Creek management bother calling and asking us why we handt given our notice yet, giving us a chance to explain it? No, instead they just took the childish route of scribbling it across the page and returning it. Why, even ask for them to resend it by email if you knew thats all you were going to do, why not just tell the lady that you will not fill it out until you have received a 30-day notice? The lady at our prospective new location told us that in 10 years of working there, she had never once had another landlord refuse to fill out the form or act that way. No, you can only find that kind of class at Reidy Creek, I dont know for sure who in the office did it, but if I had to take bets, it was Katie. Katie is both rude and always on the defensive, I guess when you are constantly attacking people you learn to always be in the defensive.Dont be fooled by the bait-n-switch they pull. When they show you the model, it of course is fully upgraded, has brand new appliances and looks wonderful. They also have signs up making claims of 24-hour monitored security and often advertise their units as coming with a garage. The reality is far from this, when you walk into your apartment for the first time, you will likely wonder if you stepped through a wormhole and emerged in the 1970s. All of the appliances are literally from the 70s, Im talking Oven, Dishwasher, Fridge, Washer, and Dryer are all genuine 1970s. The only appliance that is somewhat newer is the microwave, which is probably from the 90s. The kitchen cabinets are all original 1970s, if your lucky you will get one of the apartments that the slapped white paint over the wood cabinets (although Im not sure which looks better). The 24-hour monitored security is non-existent, there is an extremely old security system installed that does not work and does absolutely nothing. There are garages available to rent for like an extra $100/mo, and more than that if you want one with garage door opener. The apartment will only come with one assigned spot, any other vehicles are on there own, and theres a good chance you will be parking 1/2 mild down the street. There is no storage whatsoever, save one very small walk-in closet in the master. Finally, after our 1-year lease was up, they wanted to raise our rent $140/mo with a new lease
