This spa is a great getaway at the edge of Old Town Erie. While they will gratefully cater to a variety of age groups, I love it when its my turn to sit in the chair. I feel relaxed and pampered by friendly, expert staff. I leave feeling beautiful and rejuvinated!

If you live in Erie and havent been to a local salon you are in luck as Escape and its owner/operator Stephanie are amazing!! If you need a great cut, color, or total change shes your go to stylist. I even tried some fun red for a little change and it looks awesome. She will keep you in stitches with her lovely personality and great outlook on life! Always smiles and fun at Escape!!

It was my first time here for a haircut and I absolutely love the vibe. All employees are very sweet and nice and Ashley helped me out and I absolutely adore her. She helped with consultation and was very patient with me. Highly recommend this place and will surely be back again

I’ve been coming to Escape since we moved to Erie in 2010. I see Stephanie, Paige (the Waxing Queen), Brooke, and Kelly A. I am ALWAYS happy with my hair and waxes. I get my daughter’s hair cut here as well. She loves the sparkles and has had color streaks put in. Great place and great Ladies!!

Ive had my hair done by Monica twice now, both times have been very pleased with the results. I come in with my crazy Pinterest ideas and Monica is able to ground me down to reality and give me realistic expectations as to what I can do with my personal hair type and style.I have found Monicas easy to book with, always more than willing to give me the full attention until Im completely pleased with my hair. While Erie is not close to me, or close to anywhere I travel to on a regular basis, Im more than happy to travel for talented artists. I have found exactly that with Monica at Escape Uptown Salon in Erie.

Loved by many, this local salon has many stylist to choose from and high end products for sale. Mens cuts are reasonable, unlike most salons.

Horrible, expensive, uneven! One of the worst haircuts I have ever had. I have short hair she didnt shave my neck its choppy and uneven. I would not recommend this place.

The salon is clean, and their products are nice, but I wont be going back.I went in for a balayage/ombre style color treatment (and I probably should have checked ahead of time to see if this was something they were known for, so thats on me), and it wasnt done very well. The bleach to lighten my dark hair was applied as if I were getting highlights. And instead of getting a semi-permanent dye that Im used to when I ask for a bright, unnatural, burgundy-red, the dye used was the regular, permanent stuff, and foils were used for that as if it were highlights, too. I left with parts of my hair still damp from a lack of full blow-drying, with an orange-er shade of red than I wanted, and color that clearly starts in a straight line around my head instead of blending naturally. It was a very expensive not quite right hairstyle.But, I will say that the woman who did my hair was very sweet, and took direction when I voiced a preference or concern during the process. Im sure this salon is great for some people, just not for me.
