One of those places where your car comes out with more problems than it went in with.I went in to get some stuff fixed on my car and I told him to fix everything and it came out with a loose squeaky bell or right side window that doesn’t work anymore oh and my alignment wasn’t any better on top of that my right side tire is making a washing noise because they replace the brakes wrong. I’m just going to another place to get these things fixed now.

Steve and his team are honest and affordable. We took our car in suspecting an oil leak based on drops in garage... nothing found. We asked if oil needed changed. They looked and said no. Cost..nothing. Where will I take my car for any repair? Here. They have done tons of work on various vehicles and always a great experience. Support this great local business!

I have been going to Lafayette Imports for over 20 years and I can honestly tell you that Steve and his Mechanics are experienced, honest, and reasonable.I highly recommended them.

My family has been taking our cars to Lafayette imports for over 20years. Even considered Steve a family friend. My new car (Had it 3 weeks) was left overnight to have a dash light checked out. When I arrived home (5 minutes from his shop) I noticed it had been hit. Called Steve, his response was, well you left it overnight . Of course I did, thats what he asked me to do. He didnt even offer to pay for it or apologize. I guess the almighty dollar is all that matters here. We wont be returning!!

I would recommend this auto repair shop to anyone looking for honest mechanics and repairs done right the first time! They are the best!

I cant recommend this shop. Ive had a wheel bearing and a tie rod end fail less than 2 years after they were installed ( but outside the 1 year warranty). These repairs should last much longer.

What an amazing and HONEST group of guys. Took our car in due to an engine light indicating a bad alternator. Rather than immediately saying we should replace the alternator they suggested it might just be an issue brought on by the extreme cold weather. They were right once the weather got above 10 the light didnt come back. Thanks for not taking advantage of the situation and wasting my money. I will be back with all my vehicles.

Sloppy without attention to detail. My vehicle was returned with dirt, finger prints all over inside door and the work completed was unsatisfactory. I plan to take it back for them to do the job right. Pretty confident Ive been overcharged on the past 3 jobs. Looking for a new repair shop. Steve seems super nice but that doesnt forgive my overpriced bill or poor work.

I bought a vehicle and had no way to know if the timing belt had ever been changed so I took it in to see if I needed one. I asked the owner to call me and let me know if required and new belt. He didnt. I called several times throughout the day to see what the status was and he kept saying they havent had a chance to look yet. At the end of the day I called and he said it was done. I couldnt believe he went ahead with the repairs without my approval. A timing belt should cost around $300, my bill was $823.79. What a shock!Even more shocking, when I went out to the garage to get my vehicle the mechanic told me that it didnt need a timing belt but they had put one in anyway. I was horrified that the owner had not done what I had asked, lied to me, and didnt get approval for the repairs that were unnecessary. I wasnt even given a final quote so that I could compare to another shop.When I tried to resolve the issue with him I received a couple letters written with misspelled words and horrible grammar with no clear explanation.This has been the worst experience at shop that I have ever had and wouldnt trust this guy with a tricycle. He was dismissive, ripped me off and pretty much said too bad afterwards. There are plenty of other reputable places that do good work and this certainly is not one of them.In addition, he seems to have a special disdain for female customers.

I have been taking my car to Lafayette Auto Imports for 5 years now. Steve and his team are always quick, knowledgeable and honest. I moved out of town a couple of years ago, but I still go to his shop because I know that the quality of service they provide is uncommon.

I bring my BMW here for service. Im always satisfied.

After another shop literally quoted me, not worth fixing, I asked for Lafayette Imports to run their test (which was only $56) for my vacuum system on my Passat. The other place said it wold be thousands of dollars just to figure out and Lafayette had it fixed for under $500! Crazy fast service as well. With my Passat nearly over 200,000 miles I will definitely use this shop over the two others I have used in the past. Better prices and turn around!

Seem like very nice people, just priced very high. Was quoted $700 to fix a wheel bearing. Much higher than most shops around were charging, the wheel bearing and CV axle were fixed for $425

The most honest mechanics I have ever worked with.

We went to LICC on recommendation of a neighbor. Older caravan was loosing coolant and overheating. They replaced the radiator, and we thought our troubles were over. Coolant was still dripping on the garage floor, and when we went to Christian Brothers a few days later for wheel alignment, they found the water pump was leaking, and the oil was 3 QUARTS low! Also needs the valve cover gaskets replaced. I trust a mechanic to do a routine check on things like fluid levels and any needed work, not just get me in and out as fast as possible (The work on the radiator took 5 days). The owners/workers werent very friendly and they seemed overworked. Not much attention to detail or customer service skills in my book. Not going back, sorry.

The owner was rude and does not care much about customer service. I had a major part i needed to be installed on my Audi, the customer service was terrible, they said that they didnt care if they got my business because i had already purchased the part and they would not make any money off of the part. They wanted to work on the car until I told them that i already had the part purchased.
