A big thanks to Jeff Celie at the Elkhart location. He waited for me to get my vehicle jump started on a late Friday afternoon and then put it in the shop until Monday morning. By 8:54 am on Monday he called me to tell me that a new battery under warranty was on it’s way to his shop. An hour later my van was ready with new battery installed and full check on the alternator and starter as well.I have the utmost confidence in Perry Automotive and Jeff!

100/10. I loved this place. Jeff was hilarious and playful, Bruce was welcoming and sweet, and the text message quoting process (with pictures!) was super easy and convenient. Bruce gave me advice on how to save money with a different issue I had and my overall price was less than I expected. I will absolutely be back and recommend others do the same!

Perry Automotive done a lot of work for me in the last 4 months on my Jeep Liberty I trust them to do good theyre honest and they try to get the job done and communicate with you they got a lot of new systems going on it makes it a little quicker and easier there not sketchy good dependable people I Would recommend

I called perry automotive after i had a “friend” replace some steering components. It was just missing a bolt or two. I asked if they could reattach it for me at all in the next few days due to me going out of state on a trip. The guy i spoke to on the phone was very blunt and dry and not very friendly in my opinion. This was my first impression. I thought after reading the reviews on how they go above and beyond that it wouldnt be an issue to squeeze me in to install a couple bolts. But he insisted on a full inspection, which i didnt want. Then said there were lots of people ahead of me ( totally fair and understandable ). But then when i said i will see if i can find an earlier appointment and call back he says “good luck” and not like a genuine good luck but like snarky as if implying i wont find anything sooner. I called montieths and said the same thing. They said they could squeeze me in for the 15 mins of lift time to install the bolts for me.Not the greatest first impression.I hate writing these kind of reviews.Id love to write instead that they were my hero and now they have a lifetime customer. But now im going to be the opposite, and probably settle with a different mechanic.Good luck. Heads up: Next time try to show some care, empathy and remorse when someone is having mechanical issues.

Perry Automotive worked on my AC. It wasnt working properly and I waited a year to have them look at it again. I took it in and they charged me for recharging it. It still wasnt right so I took it back again. The AC had something wrong with it that they didnt fix before and they fixed it for no charge. Great service!!

Had my transmission go out on my Jeep, thankfully we had a warranty. Other than having to wait for my warranty people to send the transmission, everything was fast and the Jeep work great! They would call and update me on what was going on. Will definitely consider this place my new mechanics. Thanks again, guys!

Amazing experience, my car died on me as i was turning into the parking lot nd my insurance towed me over. They waited for me although they were close to closing and gave me a new alternator. I needed to deice back to Indianapolis so they stayed late and showed me superb hospitality. I highly recommend if you want someone to explain everything, demonstrate patience and are trustworthy with their service. Thank you all for staying and keeping it 100% while i drove back to Indy. Dishonest, very rude, does not listen to customers explain recent repairs, not excellent in wheel alignments either. Do NOT go there for DOT inspections.

Not only are these techs informative, but they also seem to care about customer service as a long-term relationship. It was quite refreshing.I listened as they explained complicated repairs in a way that left the customer assured and with informed options.I learned a lot about my car today without being made to feel foolish. Best automotive repair shop in Elkhart! These guys can do anything from oil changes, suspension work, alternators, and engines. Not only that but they can work on any year make or model. There was this beautiful 1950 Lincoln next to a Mercedes, talk about a broad range. These guys are the real deal!

These guys and John, the owner are class act bunch of guys! One of my semi drivers was on his way to pick up a load. He was in the left turn lane and his semi truck died. We thought it was fuel filters, call NAPA to see if they had them, they did, but wont deliver them to my driver. Driver walked to Perry Automotive for help and they went beyond the call of duty to help my driver. They called and order the NAPA filters, had a mechanic install them while he was in the street, truck started and they got him off the street into their parking lot. The helped continued for the next couple of days as they sorted out the issues. They got him running in no time. We highly recommend these guys and with our trucks based out of Wisconsin.....we will definitely use Perry Automotive for ALL our scheduled maintenance on our semi trucks! Thank you John for being so helpful, kind and gracious to my driver when he was in need...I so appreciated it!

The guys at Perry Auto are incredible! They came to the rescue in a big way today. I had a dead battery in bad weather; I got a jump and called to see what they could do. Mark (the manager) had me come in right away even though they were booked. He said hed squeeze me in but didnt want to take the chance of me getting stranded somewhere. He and Shawn took care of me, had me out of there safely, and helped make it as affordable as possible. Thanks to their kindness I was able to make it to work and I have the security of knowing my car is taken care of. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!!

They tell you the truth, fix what NEEDS to be done, let you know what will NEED to be done and when and how much it will cost! It enables me to keep my car in good shape while also allowing me time to save up for the next fix needed. They go out of their way in the customer service Dept and I have referred friends and family to them.

I have used the Perry automotive facility in Elkhart twice and two different friends have used it at my recommendation.All experiences have been good ones. Not always as cheap as I hoped but then I drive a 16 year old vehicle.We have all come away feeling that we have gotten a fair deal and good workmanship.I believe the people have integrity and are genuine in there striving to do what is right.

We took my boyfriends 2016 civic there to get fixed and they were poor at communication. They had his car for 3 weeks and only got 1 phone call and when we went and picked up the alignment was still wrong dash was no g lights were on and they brakes didnt work right we called Warren and he just told us lies about the dent in the corner panel was the reason it was pulling to the left so if u want your car to get fixed right withwithout lies and not get ripped off and lose 500 dollars dont go to any one John Perrys shops they are shady people who just wanna get the job done and dont care if its done right or not so save yourself some time and money and take your car ao me where else I will never tell anyone to go to Perry automotive they will rip u off and steal your money

The best auto customer service experience ever! The staff was very, professional, couteous and helpful in every way. My expectations were exceeded.

We have been working with both Perry Automotive sites. So pleased with both places and the people who work with us. Their motto is felt in the way they work. Recently we had been told of a possible need for a major repair to the steering. When the car was put up they found normal wear and no need for repair. They made note in the computer to keep check on it the next time we came in for a LOF.

Great place to get our cars fixed. Both of my cars broke down at the same time and I was greatful that they were able to see both cars back to back 😊

I was told my front brakes needed replaced (600$) and the rears were close and should be replaced, not sure on the rear quote. Went to another place the very next day and they found nothing wrong with the brakes. The oil change was cheap, but wont be going back for anything here.

Ok 4 oil change..but this place is all about rippin u a new one! Wanted to charge my mom 199.00 an hour to fix 1 break... nonono.. thats wrong!

Went to the one in Elkhart to get my car fixed after a little finder bender bad derive had my car for 3 weeks never called me unless I called them they fixed a few things but once I picked up my car the alignment they said they fixed was still bad and they said it was cuz I had a dent in my corner panel and all my dash lights were one and my brakes didnt work right after I got it back I wouldnt let them work on anything not even a bike worst place to take your car they broke more then they fixed.....if he will check.his phone calls he will see that Warren from elkhart told my girlfriend that the dent was the reason it was pulling to the left save your time and money and go somewhere else these people are juat out to make a dollar and dont care about anyones propertt

They try to bill you for$100 extra for inspection and a list of what else is needed for repairs. A person has to specify immediately ONLY the repair you want done, nothing more!

Took my car in for an oil change, was there for over an hour, I get my car back and they punctured a hole in my radiator. Went to get it looked at by someone else, and they also had taken my front end apart and had done more damage that I ended up paying 300 to get fixed somewhere else. I would NOT suggest going here for any reason at all.
