So Ive been going to this gym since February 2021. I dont know exactly when they opened but I started going not to long after that. I am only paying the $10 a month for membership. I know thats not alot as far as gym memberships go. I thought this place was very nice at first but its really gone down hill since then. The place used to have friendly staff and was pretty clean. Now the roof leaks in like 4 spots so theres always puddles of water on the gym floor and treadmills. The paper towel dispensers are either empty or broken while the person at the front desk sits on there phone ignoring these problems. The locker room is always dirty. And today there is no hot water in the showers! Im sure they are short staffed and I know Im only paying $10 a month but come on! I will continue to go but Planet Fitness can you please try to maintain your gym a little better.

Beautiful locker rooms filled with granite! I switched to PF just to use the red light therapy, tanning & massages. I went from paying $90/ month at a tanning salon to only $25/ month here! Great value. Super clean, great tanning beds!

So happy to finally have a PF 5 minutes away from me! There are no big gyms in the area that offers the amenities that PF has to offer at the price point. I absolutely love this gym & have nothing bad to say. I love being one of the only ones there in the middle of the night, extremely relaxing. Tanning beds are AMAZING, better than most beds I’ve used at actual tanning salons & the massage chairs are a plus.

Clean, friendly and helpful staff and very spacious. Always lots of great equipment too. Love the massage beds and tanning. I would have given 5 stars, but the wifi sometimes is very spotty and sometimes can not get music or video to play properly. I would recommend this gets fixed. Thanks

This gym is one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. It’s clean, new, and the equipment and amenities are great. Not to mention the staff. They are fantastic. I go a few times a week and always ask for a massage chair and they’re on it, right away. One of the staff members helped me pick out tanning products too! They deal with busy nights sometimes and I can’t remember a single bad experience here. Cannot talk up this gym enough. I’m really glad they put a location in Elk River. They are top tier.

I recently cancelled my membership at a local gym to workout here because I travel a lot and enjoy having the flexibility of working out at any Planet Fitness with the black card. I added 40 minutes round trip to come to this club as opposed to my previous club.This gym for some reason is always cold. It’s Minnesota, during winter? I come here to sweat. Why do we need the A/C constantly blowing cold air and the giant fans spinning at high speed? This is not while the gym is packed. This is happening when I’m there mid day when there’s only 5 other people.Today I requested to use the stand up tanning bed when I arrived. I was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I delayed beginning my workout so I could tan first. After waiting 10 minutes in the lobby I checked back with the front desk. 7 minutes I was told. This time I waited in the room just outside of where the tanning beds are located. After 7 minutes I walk back to the desk and ask if the bed is ready. The person looked confused and I noticed my name had been erased from the list. When I asked the man who I originally set up the tanning with what happened he said he didn’t know, and that they’re busy.I understand being busy, but I’m busy as well. I don’t have an extra 30 minutes to sit and wait. Please address your operating procedures.

The employees were wonderful and the location was clean and quiet. My only issue is that the handicap shower in the womens locker room was busted. Looks like someone had ripped the shower head off the wall. I know this isnt the fault of the employees, but I was disappointed. I need that stall to shower safely.

Planet Fitness in Elk River is an amazing facility loaded with a very courteous and helpful staff along with every machine you could ever hope for. Then, there’s the spa for additional fitness and relaxation. This is easily the best value in fitness.

I joined in February and have yet to go to the facility. I closed the account I did the original billing on, and have informed them of this. They have a new account to bill but still use the old account and of course charge me fees. I asked them not to use that account and they will not remove the account unless I give them a third account to bill. I asked to cancel but I need to come in and sign to cancel. I didnt have to come in and sign for them to take my money in the first place. They are not concerned I havent come into to use the facility, but I to have me come in to stop taking my money. Clearly my fitness is not their concern, nor is doing right by the customer.

Great place to go .... but people do not know how to talk on the phone. Pretty much will tell you that you cant do anything online anymore and you can only see anything on the app. Wont even let you finish talking. Rude as heck!!!!

I love it here! Lots of features for a great price! Hydro beds and chairs, massage chairs, tanning beds and of course access to all gym equipment. Staff is friendly. My only suggestion would be to have the floors cleaned more often in the tanning bed rooms and have access to cleaning supplies in there also. Staff does wipe down the tanning equipment bit it it would be nice to be able to clean youraeyo also.

There are so many choices of equipment to select from. It’s very clean and Covid friendly. The staff are very nice and attentive. And who doesn’t love having the ability to sit in a massage chair or tan after a hard workout!

I really enjoy having a good experience at planet fitness The staff are very nice and the workout area is awesome I am thankful you are there!! I recommend them to anyone wanting to go to a place with excellent cleaning standards and nice atmosphere.

Signed up as a Black Card member and today was the first day at the gym.Friendly and accommodating staff, clean facility and couldn’t be happier this location opened.Plenty of room and tons of accessible equipment. Showers are currently closed, but oh well. That’s the only true negative.

I would recommend Planet Fitness Elk River. It is a new gym with new equipment. They have a large space that enables you to use the equipment that you want, even when they are busy, without a lot of wait time. The price is right with added amenities that you dont find at all gyms (tanning, massage chairs/beds, etc.). The staff is friendly. They are taking steps to be compliant with Covid.

Sadly this place has gone downhill.. Kids were walking in without being scanned.. The front desk couldnt have cared less... People sitting on the front desk counter working... People arent wiping down machines etc.. Its too bad but i bet they get shut down..

This place was above all other Planet Fitness locations Ive been to. Thankfully this is now the closest location to my home. I no longer have to drive to Crystal. This is a beautiful, clean facility that seems a little more like a high class Planet Fitness with their selected finishes. Nice job and its about time I have options locally without having a 60 minute round trip drive.

It’s a well run location. The amenities are new and top notch. The personnel are helpful and patient. We love it. The spa is an extra bonus. It’s a great positive environment.

This place is a nice change of pace from what you expect at a health club. The front desk personnel are very helpful, the club is kept very clean, you have every machine you could ever need. Nothing not to like about this club or this location.

Clean and sanitized. Staff and friendly and willing to help with any questions. Brand new facilities as of 01/2021. Love the app to get in at peak hours and actually be around other humans.

The place was so clean, the employees were so kind and helpful. The manager Paul went above and beyond. So happy to have Planet Fitness in the town of Elk River, MN

No free squat or bench racks, only smith machines and only four of them. They provide tanning, but will not let me sit on the chair in the room while my fiance tans, even tho we live together. Most if the employees are really young and irresponsible and are there without an older employee.

Clean facility, courteous staff and not crowded which I like the most.

Paul was awesome to guide us through our first day. Love the options.

The facility is clean and there is plenty of space. I have been unable to get orientation To the facility and have been cancelled on a few times which is frustrating.

Great atmosphere.

Staff is friendly and the facility looks very clean- just to let the community know that as of the date of this review, they are not planning on opening for workouts until 12/28/2020. This is unlisted on the website, but shared by the staff member on front desk shift today. They are giving tours of the facility and signing new people up, but thats about it.
