This place has a rude personnel. Beware of hidden charges with evening drop off!!Truck was returned at night instead of following morning. In the morning we got several rude calls asking where truck is, even though correct return of the truck online has been processed at night. Somebody just didnt do their job in the morning its easier to call and yell at the customer rather than going and checking.Also got charged $20 late night drop fee, that is apparently listed in a contract that we signed, but was never announced or is nowhere to be seen online when youre doing the return process.

Was in and out pretty quick. No hassles. Seems stocked pretty regularly and the truck I got was a 20 and it did not smell hah. Felt like they clean after use so I was happy.

The worst service. Just in their parking lot, I put the key in the car seat and got on off the car to checked the body. The car was automatically locked itself. Asking them for a spare key to open the door, they actually said that there is no one they charge me 100 dollar to call the roadside assistance to open the door .I was so angry and I returned the car immediately after opening the door .So they charged me $122 without starting the car

Huge lot, easy to pickup. Remember they close the gate at 5pm so you should ask them about extending the drop off by 8am the next day. They do that at no charge

Rented a Chevrolet pick up truck from them to take my recycling in that accumulated over a year. Had it for like 4 hours, cost me only $28.00, which fit just right in my budget. The people that helped me were so kind and helpful. Best customer experience Ive had from a company in a long time.

Since we moved to Elk Grove five years ago, we have used this facility many times. We have rented box trucks as well as closed and open trailers. Usually, we have had an excellent experience. However, our last rental of an open trailer was less than expected. There was debris and dirt in the trailer, and there was no effort or offer by the attendant to clean out the trailer even though I did express my displeasure with its condition. There was no offer of a discount either for me having to take my time to clean out the trailer prior to me using it (I did take photos and forwarded them through the link sent to my phone). After returning the trailer, I was told our receipt would be emailed to us, and yet I had to call back to get our receipt sent.As I previously stated we have had excellent experiences in the past, and should we need services in the future we may think twice about using this location, but will probably give them a second chance...

Dont expect to get your security deposit back from this place. Been trying for over a month (left the unit in the good condition I received it in) and was told theyd look into it. Now theyre neither answering nor returning my calls.

The red head and blond girl are rude and honestly shouldn’t hold a customer service job, they don’t know what they’re doing and they make you feel like garbage for trying to work with them. I had someone hire my husband to move some large items. I called Uhaul, Steve jumped through hoops to get the truck booked for me. I hung up and the person called back and had to cancel on short notice. I felt so bad calling Steve right back to cancel after all he did to get it booked but it was no problem and I was treated kindly.

Wow, I planned on doing a bad review, but it looks like several people beat me to it. Ive been doing business with these people FOR YEARS. Paid on time every month. I just went to pick up my trailer. Apparently, they moved my trailer (without my permission). In doing so, they broke the light assembly on my license plate. When I asked about it the response was, Were not responsible. Its in your contract. Youre not responsible??! Not even a sorry! Ill never trust this company with my property again! After all, THEYRE NOT RESPONSIBLE.

Worst customer service ever. I arrive at the store after driving two hours to pick up a trailer, upon arrival I accidentally parked in front of the gate and upon walking inside the store, I was approached by the lady who told me in a very aggressive tone that I had to move my car. I said sorry I didn’t see a sign for customer parking and she said with attitude “there’s a big sign out there that says customer parking” and I said to her that’s a bad way to start our business and she automatically said have a good day and closed the entrance door behind me. I am an electrical contractor for years and I deal with customers everyday, I would never treat my customers that way. I feel her attitude towards me was racially motivated. I can understand why they have two stars.

Oh my goodness. The customer service is refreashing..This is a family run business. They are so friendly and helpful. I felt like I was a part of their family when I left. As we know preparing to move can be stressful..while I was here I forgot about how stressed moving can be. I highly recommend.

This place is the worst. Completely unprofessional. Their computer server was having issues on the morning I went. When questioning about my reservation I was screamed at for being on line slowing down their server. It went from bad to worse and ended up with me walking out empty handed. I won’t go into more details, let’s just say they need stress management, anger management, professionalism courses and their mouths washed out with soap. If I could give a negative star rating I would.

These people are just rude! Everyone from the stuff to the owner (Steve). I call to ask for help with a tow dolly that had a blowout and they tell me that they couldnt do anything for me and hung up the phone. I called back and the manager answered and I ask her for her name and she refused to give me her name and hung up the phone again! I called back cuse her out, then the owner called me back and cussed me out. Is this what you call customer service???? Steve and your staffs????You people should even start a business not to mention a Uhaul rental business. You guys have been a disgrace to the Uhaul name that have been well established for so many years. Do yourself and other a favor and close down your low lives business!!!

I did not have the best experience here. They double booked my rental then said the system was down and was the reason. They redirected me to Uhaul in Galt who said the system never went down and that if I got redirected to them it was likely because they just double book things as a fail safe for people cancelling or not showing up. Customer service was lacking. There were two people, one helping a customer and the other on the phone. I waited about 15 minutes for the one to get off the phone only to have her immediately leave to go on break. The person who did end up helping me kept answering the phone and ignoring me. I will definitely not be back.

Great work ethic, Both the man and woman who helped me get a u haul on a busy Saturday were a pleasure doing business with. I definitely recommend this business if you need a reliable company for your move.

I reserved a rental at about 3:15 pm for an in town move for some family. I was told to bring the truck back at the same time the next day. Considering I wasnt getting off work til 2 pm the next day, it worked out. When the guy printed up the so called contract, it said the return time was at 2 pm. That obviously wasnt going to work because I work in Citrus Heights, CA. He told me to call him to let him know when Id be there. When I called the next day, he was told that I would be there between 2 and 2:30 pm... he bluntly said Im leaving at 2! The whole reason for waited til 3pm to pick up the truck was so I could have time from the time I get off to the time I could get to Elk Grove from Citrus Heights... I will never be doing business with them again!

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM STEVE, (The man who owns the dealership!!) He put a 6X12 trailer on my hitch incorrectly and sent me on my way. Four miles down, the trailer came off the hitch and damaged my bumper in four places. He was EXTREMELY unprofessional and RUDE when dealing with the situation. The next day when filing the claim to Uhaul, he was even more unprofessional!!! He sent in an incorrect detail of what happened and refused to correct it. He then went out and grabbed a jack to take off the trailer from my truck. He started yelling at my friend who wasnt even there the day before when it happened. When she told him not to yell at her, he yanked the jack from the trailer and struck her arm. Breaking skin and bruising it. He never asked her if she was okay and just walked right into the office.We didnt see him again. I only put one star because I had to highlight one. Id give this dealership no stars if I could. Luckily, I had paid for the extra insurance when I rented it. I cant even imagine what Id be going through right now had I not. I WILL NEVER rent from here again. Too many other Uhaul dealerships around the area. From the other reviews on him and his dealership, I see other people feel the same.

These people are amazing! They always have the Uhaul truck I reserved when I reserved it. They are real, friendly, and honest. I will never use another Uhaul or any other equipment rental place if these guys have what I need.

I have never experience a more worst experience than I did at this location or anywhere. My husband and I came in to pick up our U-Haul reservation. We sat down with the manager of this location Steve and Dawn. I gave her my ID and credit card to input into the system. Soon after she was done, she gave me a piece of paper and clipboard to do an inspection of the uhaul on our own because we waived the right to have insurance for $14.After we completed the inspection, we came back and gave her the clipboard. I politely asked her, do you guys always have your customers do Inspection on their own? With an attitude, she said yes because you waived the right to receive insurance from uhaul.She later asked me to initial a box stating that the gab box was cleaned. I told her I was not aware that I was supposed to inspect the interior or the inside of the trunk.She goes, well I am about to explain to you what it is and you can go back out and inspect and come back and tell me if its clean or not. She was extremely rude and impatient and mind you it was just me, my husband and another customer who was being helped by another person. I then asked her, is this the way you talk to your customers?After her response, we asked her for her business card. She immediately gave us an attitude and insisted to cancel our contract. Mind you, my husband and I drove her from San Jose. We drove on a Friday afternoon so traffic was horrendous.After she threatened to cancel our contract, she walked to the door, opened it and rushed us out. I am pregnant mind you. This is not how you treat a customer no matter how you feel or what the customer ask. All you have to do is give a polite answer. But Dawn Willis, she was upright rude, unprofessional. She needs to be fired. We were so upset, immediately after we got into our car, we called corporate right away.Uhual should not have an associate that treats clients like this. Not only does it ruin the reputation of such a big truck rental company, but it makes them not want to ever rent from Uhaul again because of one bad experience.I wish I can give this person a zero star but unfortunately to be able to write a review you have to give them at least one star. If you can avoid coming to this location, please do so. And if you must come to this location, avoid working with a person by the name of Dawn Willis.I absolutely hate this PLACE!

Dont rent here. The old guy who runs this place is a nasty old crank who doesnt give a damn about customers. He acts as though you are interrupting him and if you try to discuss any issues you have with U-Haul policies he throws you out. Dont waste your time. There are plenty of other U-Haul rental locations nearby.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THEY CHARGED EXTRA PER MILE ON WEEKENDS even though the price is lower when i checked online on the same day. They told us that they were open until 5pm on Sat. I brought the truck back at 4:10pm with another customer also dropping off a pickup truck. The office close at 3:30 pm but both of us were under the impression that the front desk would open until 5. I called them the next day and they charged me extra $5 for blowing out the back of the truck. The truck was the same as when I picked it up. Make sure you let them check the truck with you even when you buy the collision fee waiver and clean out the back before returning. The man answered my call was not polite at all. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TROUBLE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

The staff was very polite and attentive, the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the difficulty in navigating their lot.

WORST customer service ever! Dawn was so rude and kept speaking over me! Was charged for fuel when my son tried to hand her the contract showing the starting fuel she wouldn’t take it! Uhaul policy is that you don’t have to stay at drop off. My son left, then I get an email with a fuel and cleaning charges! The truck was clean when we returned it, Dawn said there was oil in the truck and it was filthy! We moved furniture and clothes only! Not sure what truck she was looking at! She hung up on me 3 times. She said take it up with uhaul! When I called uhaul they said that DAWN blacklisted me from renting from UHaul! I hope to get resolution from a UHaul corporate! Don’t EVER do business here! If I could there would be no stars given here!

During the lunch hour he came out and I asked him if they were open and he rudely said they were closed its lunch and I have been waiting for more than a half hour outside.

Worst customer service I have experienced. Walk in the man didnt even bat and eye or say anything. I continue to say hello and after a few minute I finally get a glaring look from him. Then had to wait 5-7min before he even got up from his chair and computer to ask what I was there for.
