Honestly I joined this gym and was apprehensive because they don’t have much free space and don’t allow you to bring free weights into the class area. Which I get they don’t want people dropping it in the floor. But today I came in and the “free space” they do have was taken by a class. Well 1/3 of the space, and if you’ve been here during peek hours that’s a lot of space for such a small gym. I asked one of the trainers why they did that, and his response was they have always done that pre COVID. Well I’ve been here pretty consistently to know that I have not seen them here during the times I come which is around 0730-0930. So I asked why they don’t allow them to just use the open class space since that’s not open to use free weights. His response was “ cause this space was made for them not the members.” Damn okay. So unless you use the small limited space in front of all the lifters or a machine this gym isn’t built for you.

Just moved here and wanted to try a new gym and saw an offer for three day guest pass for free. Wanted to try it out before committing and came in and let the person know I signed up for a guest pass online and she then asked for my ID. She started to put in my info and then proceeded to tell me it would be 10 dollars. I explained that the pass said it was free and I wanted to try it out before paying monthly fee (its 12 or 13 dollars for a monthly fee anyway). She said I have to go off of your ID. I explained that I just moved here and I told her again that I had signed up for the guess pass online. She just repeated the same thing. So I left.Pretty bad customer service, just lost a customer before even giving me a chance to try the service.

I walked into the facility ready to sign a contract until I noticed people wandering in and out without masks. I asked if they had a vaccine requirement. They don’t. They said they follow corporate policy set by the New York City office. I mentioned that California has a mask mandate for the state. The person at the counter just responded with a sympathetic, “I know.“ They clearly care more about money than their patrons. I’m sorry extremely disappointed. I won’t be back.

If the CEO of Crunch came to see how outdated this gym is, theyd be disappointed and embarrassed.This gym needs a remodel. The machines are very dated, many of them had rips or tears in the fabric. One machine seemed as if it had not been greased down properly or at all as the movements were not smooth.Approx. 50% of the people had no mask on with no social distancing. Even if social distancing wasnt a thing, it would still bother me with how close the machines, benches, and equipment are to each other.I usually can tolerate an outdated gym just to get my workout in. But after 20 mins of being in this gym, I couldnt take it and left in the middle of my workout.The class fitness area looks newly remodeled, so why not the rest of the gym? Id rather be at Planet Fitness for the money I pay.

The one in elkgrove is good but one of the few in sac region that still wont allow your free guest and wont do anything about the price adjustment. In reality we should be getting a large refund because I am having to pay 10 dollars each time for a guests (my wife). Sucks but other than that equipment is good and not very busy in early am and late pm

Awesome! As was the norm before March last year. The staff is friendly, the facility us clean and well maintained. Excellent value and atmosphere.

The Elk Grove location sent me to collections over $10.45 this past month. I had cancelled with them and hadnt gone to their gym in 6 years. WTH?!! Bad customer service. I used to love going to Crunch.

Crunch is one of the very few gyms I will attend. The people are nice and the staff very cordial. I like the atmosphere. Look forward to getting back into the gym. Personal session would be nice as I have not worked out as I should during this pandemic. Thanks for helping the community get fit.Angela

I love this gym, but one time it was close to closing hours, two of the Crunch employees were flickering the lights and laughing ( Im sure to notify everyone that its time to go ) however my friend said he was having trouble while bench pressing. I think this is dangerous and should not be joked about as it couldve caused an accident.

Its a pretty decent gym. They have a little of everything, its not over the top but its definitely not small either. Only issue i have is that you are not allowed to bring a guest even if you have the perks of doing so. So everyone coming in needs to have their own membership.

Normally pretty good and appreciate they are open inside and outside. However today the outdoor tent lights are still not on at ~5:30pm. Sunset was 4:45 and people are working out with cell phone lights. I went in to ask the lights be turned on at 5pm, but it’s been almost 30 minutes with no lights. Hopefully nobody gets hurt trying to workout in the dark 👎🏻.

Always a safe, clean, positive gym to work out in! No judgements, always positivity and assistance in any new work out or machine you’re interested in adding to your work out routine.. No matter the size I have been here for over 5 years and have always reached any new fitness goal I set my mind to. Literally love it here, just wish they’d open at least 1 hour earlier.. But over all LOVE IT!!

Great place to work out - lots of options and not overly busy. Just wish my 10 year old daughter could come work out as well. Find it a little crummy that it doesnt indicate anywhere what the age is to be able to come and work out. I appreciate the club is implementing social distancing; however, I wish the employees would walk around and ensure all customers are wiping down the equipment as required when done using it. Every day that Im there, there are multiple people not adhering.

Just got my membership, Gym says they open at 5AM. Over 15 members waiting outside, some people left… it’s almost 6AM no one is here to open!!! Who is running this place ???

Ive recently joined the Crunch gym and so far am enjoying the experience. The gym is adopting safety precautions in this coronavirus era and I feel safe exercising here. Machines are plentiful but I still need to learn how to use some of them

Crunch is my therapy. The equipment is great. The staff is amazing. I tend to go early in the morning and it is the best time to go in my opinion. Thank you Crunch especially for having the option of beating on the punching bag that not many other gyms offer.

I am a member of Crunch fitness located in Grove California. Since I’ve been going to crunch for the last three months I’ve met some exceptional staff members. By exceptional, they are there to assist you with any questions you have about their facility, machines, routines and the such and all with no judgement. The comfort level can be felt throughout your visit. I took advantage of my birthday one on one training. That can be intimidating and very personal but it was relaxing and enjoyable. . It’s a no judgment gym workout. Not like same as other gyms I’ve worked out in the past where you felt like you are at a meat market or at a night club. The other members from what I’ve observed are there for one sole purpose, the betterment of oneself. As for the price and location, It’s a win-win opportunity. Always get greeted and promptly checked in by the front desk staff. Workout equipment is always in good working condition. Free weights and machines are spread out so people with all different abilities get a chance to try new exercises. Also have lockers available for use.

Love crunch gym and the staff . Everyone is so friendly and helpful . We have been coming for years ! We are bummed that they got shut down again after meeting all the safety protocols. All the members were amazing at wiping everything before and after . Wearing their masks and staying separated . Can’t wait to get back when they open .

The used to allow family to attend as guest just 1person.. now they want everyone to have there own.

I love this gym. From the first day I signed on the staff and manager were so helpful and friendly. As a person who has always been over weight my trainer and staff always so encouraging and motivating. This gym is always clean, staff and people there are friendly. The classes they offer with their instructos are just THE BOMB 👍👍👍 If you havent tried this gym yet, give it a try....

This Crunch’s management is ridiculous, I have peak plus which allows me to attend any crunch fitness, not just the crunch I enrolled in. Every time I come here I get scrutinized for 5-10 mins because I enrolled at a different site. No other crunch site does this SMH

Love this gym!! Never once felt uncomfortable, love the atmosphere. All the staff is amazing, and very informative. Also I love how they’re a smaller gym but they still have everything I need ((and more)). I would definitely recommend, I’m already trying to get my friend to join with me.

Look.Ive been doing the gym thing for a long time.And finding a gym that has good variety and cleanliness plus incredibly polite staff is hard to get for such a cheap price. Only thing i would add is an approval squat rack because squats.Sabrina hooked me up with a good deal and will likely have gained a lifetime customer. 👌

Great gym. It only costs me $15 for a month. Its close to the highway 99, so it is very convenient as well. People who work there are all very friendly. Facility is always clean.

Love this gym! Most of the workers and chipper and happy to be there but there is one, that works in the morning that seems like she could care less! I know 5am isn’t for everyone. Maybe switch shifts then...

Great price for a gym. Never had an issue checking in. People at the front desk are always helpful and great at multitasking answering questions and signing people in. Recently signed back up and appreciate the changes to the HIIT area. A truly great value gym.

I am really enjoying my experience at Crunch. Even during peak hours it is never a problem finding an open machine. The open weights area can get crowded, but not to the point of being annoying. The staff is friendly. I haven’t had a chance yet to attend a class, but the selection and availability of the classes seems to be good. The scale in the men’s locker room could use replacing and I wish the gym was open a little later on Saturdays and Sundays for us night owls , but other than that I would say everything has been good! Affordable memberships and I like the option of bringing a friend through the guest privilege plans.

Location location location! This Crunch is two lights from the freeway and make this location absolutely perfect for going after work. The facilities are always clean, classes are fun and staff willing to help when you have questions.

Crunch is great. The pricing is actually fair and the facilities are well maintained. I wish it was bigger because sometimes it’s packed but I like it nonetheless.

I enjoy the friendly staff at crunch. Its really not that crowded of course at certain times it may be more credit than others but for the most part machines are available. Bathrooms are clean the facility is clean

Been a client for almost 2 years now with a personal trainer. All staff I’ve come across with have been so friendly and helpful. A good environment for keeping myself in shape, no judgement.

LOVE this gym! although it is pretty crowded you cannot beat their prices & the staff is extra friendly. I just signed up about a week ago and didnt know they were doing a promotion so my first time fee was super cheap and also got personal training sessions for an awesome deal! I did my first training session with Kelley and she is incredible! She is truly there to help you get to where you wanna be with a great attitude and personality! I love coming here !

I’m glad I joined Crunch! The staff are friendly and the environment is clean. The people who go there are serious about there health and work out....no one is intimidated or intimidating. I was a guess of my niece who is a member and was so impressed by the place I joined after my visit.

Smaller gym but they always have equipment available. Take a HIIT class, you wont regret it. Ive always been a workout from home kind of person, but this was what i was missing. Their moto is No Judgment, and honestly there isnt any. Its comfortable being there at any time.

Ive been members of many health clubs This one is all about fitness. Thats why I love it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. After a few months I hired a great PT (Vada). I love what shes doing and the results. I would highly recommend this gym if youre looking for a great place to workout.

Always a good vibe. I go to 3 different crunch locations, and all of them are clean and friendly. Plenty of equipment to use. Peak is the membership I have. It’s perfect.

Excellent customer service. The guy who started my membership was very patient and explained everything, all the charges and fees and what comes with each different membership. I just need the basics so I got the basic one. After you sign up, he said you have 5 days to get a refund if you change your mind. I won’t though! They have almost everything you could possibly need for a good workout. The lockers are pretty big, but there isn’t much bench space in the room, that’s okay though since it’s typically not too busy. Be sure to bring your own lock!

I love this gym. Ive been a member for a few months now. You really cant beat the rate. Its never too crowded to do anything, though the free weight section is usually pretty full & its intimidating to try and break your way into the pack as a rookie gym user. All the members are super friendly so far. The staff too is friendly and knowledgeable. They dont try and upsell too much.

Its a pretty nice gym! Instructors are all excellent and theres no judgment. It can get a little crowded after 5 but I tend to go earlier so its not a problem.

I have been a member here for a little over a month and I like it quite well the staff is friendly and I dont typically have to wait for a machine or free weights. Although if you are a serious bodybuilder type this gym is not for you dumbells stop at 100 lb
