I rented a full sized truck a month in advance. When I picked up the truck they only had a mid sized truck but charged me for the full sized vehicle. After several calls to customer service I was offered a $50 certificate toward a future rental. Why would I ever rent from you again! They said the full sized truck cost more on the day off the rental so they can only charge me more not give a refund for the difference between a full sized and mid sized truck. Even though I had a rental reserved at a rate that I agreed to pay. Be careful of the bait and switch. Choose a different company if at all possible.

This was the worst rental experience ever. I rented from the smf location and the car was awful. It smelled so bad from cigarette smoke. I tried calling customer service many times and no one ever answered.I returned to this location and left my birthday card in the car. I called the next day and said that I had left a card right in the front dash and she said a birthday card? I excitedly said yes. And she said nope, we havent seen it. It had two gift certificates in it so clearly she knew she wouldnt be liable and kept it. She was super rude at drop off and when I complained about the smoke smell she said in a rude way that she could smell it on me.I emailed customer service and I received a reply from an agent named Juicy that essentially said too bad so sad.I usually dont write reviews. But honestly will never use Hertz again.

Rude upon pick up of vehicle. Asked if I confirmed with THEM if my vehicle would be ready. What??? Very unprofessional then said they don’t have my reserved vehicle, then charged me the same price for a smaller vehicle than the one I selected. Will never be returning to this location and will be contacting corporate.

My experience renting was smooth and enjoyable. Matt is awesome love the beard lol and he has great team. Very welcoming and had my car ready soon as I arrived. I will definitely stop again for a rental.

The staff there was great. I unexpectedly needed the car longer, Justin took care of me. They also seed to it that my family and I got home safely. Will be returning again.

Im a business person and I only rent from hertz. The lady that took care of me was exactly what I wanted. She was business had me in and out. 4 stars because they didnt have the vehicle I reserved.

This branch is HORRIBLE!!!!I frequently travel for business and Hertz is out recommend rental car company. I typically make the 30 minute drive to the SMF airport due to their selection but the past 3 rentals I chose to use a local branch on Stockton Blvd......man what a mistake!!!!! These people are extremely unprofessional, unorganized, and have a horrible selection of vehicles (most times you do not have an option)The first two visits I had over an hour wait!!! On the third reservation (today) I called their office multiple times trying to confirm they had a vehicle. After an hour in a half I was finally able to get ahold of someone and this guy had the audacity to tell me I was lying about the reservation!?!? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing!!!To make a long story short I will NEVER use this branch. If you are thinking of trying them out, don’t. Make the drive to SMF and you will thank me later.P.S I will be making a formal complaint to hertz corporate about the poor service I have experienced from this branch.

Staff is extremely kind, but as a whole this place is very understaffed. The first 30 min four customers were in the waiting room without ever seeing an employee. After everyone was helped my paperwork went quick. But then the staff took the car away for about 20 min for reasons unknown. I wasn’t sure where to go and the employees disappeared. Spent nearly two hours just to get into a rental.

The place was smaller than I expected (both the office and the parking lot). I did not have a problem for/during/after my rental, although they did not actually have the type of car I booked, but at least they provided me with something very similar. A plus for the nice and competent staff there.

1st off, theyre location on google is misleading... they are not located in the E.G automall. When we found the correct location; my Dad, myself, & my 5yr old son walk in & there is 2 people seated/waiting & 2 male workers behind the desk. No greeting, no Hey welcome in, we will be with you in a moment! Just pure silence. They clearly seen us walk in. We stand to the side letting them handle their business. One of the male employees is walking back and forth, going from the front desk & in and out of a door and when he comes back to the front desk the 2nd time he says to us in a rude tone There is only 2 people allowed in here at a time. Im like so this WHOLE time were standing here, even from the jump, when we opened the front door to walk in... you couldnt tell us that?! okay so we walk out, I check their front door for a sign to atleast INFORM people of that info, & there is no sign. Literally 2 minutes of us walking out of their office, another male worker comes out and asks Have you guys been helped? after I told him No, theres only 2 people allowed in there at a time. he tells me I could help you on the other side. (the 2nd desk where we were ALREADY standing when we first got there) Anyway, our SUV was reserved for pick up at 10am, it was 10:30am the employee told us it would not be ready until NOON. My Dad said exactly what I was thinking... Forget it! Yeah, never again will I return to Hertz.

Good customer Service

This location double book cars and when the client comes to pick up the car ...there are NO cars available. I reserve a car a month ago, however, once I got to the location sorry no cars. So, don t overbook ! This is not the way to conduct business and keep customer satisfy.The office does not pick the phone, and they are SO slow..

Things changed recently especially with their new app. Since then, this office is unreachable, doesnt acknowledge/honor pick-up and drop-off requests through app. Probably wont be coming back ever unless someone from corporate who actually cares rrsolves things. Last rental experience was absolutely horrible and no one cared, even their customer service line that picks up was horrible. Hertz went way downhill in my opinion.

It was very busy this morning. He definitely needed some help, but he worked through it, multi tasking as best as he could. I really wish this location was open on Sundays, even for just a few hours. I need a car most often on Sundays, and its a pain having to go to other rental car companies or locations that are much farther away from me.

Do i have to give them a star customer service was so bad I dont even know how to start. Had reservations through our insurance did not have any clue. After trying to find our clame they had NO CARS. Will NEVER use them again.

Fast, youre in youre out... If theres a car available, youll be on your way in no time. Parking lot is kind of A nightmare but thats not really Hertzs fault.

From the first phone call to the day we dropped off the car, these people were slow, rude, and unprepared. Made a reservation to pick up a car, still had to wait over 40 minutes after all the paperwork was done - they were taking our car through the car wash. Car was fine, unexceptional but functional. Dirty inside (guess they just washed the exterior?) At drop off, they were 15 minutes late opening and everyone was waiting outside. Again, they seem to have just 1-2 people running the whole thing, so it was super slow. Not impressed. If this hadnt been an insurance thing, I would have walked out. Wont use again unless we absolutely have to for insurance purposes - but I will ask if theres a better alternative.
