Dishonest! TLDR: owner’s son tried to rip us off then told us off when confronted about it.Went in for an inspection, was told by Tyler, the owners son, that the vehicle would need new brakes new rotors to pass inspection. I was quoted $350. My husband is handy with vehicles so he replaced them himself. When he took off old brakes and rotors, he discovered that the brakes and rotors still had plenty of miles left in them. When we went back to finish the inspection, we brought the old parts with us to ask why they failed inspection. The mechanic on duty at that time (Hector) measured the brakes and rotors and said that they should have passed inspection the first time around. When my husband spoke to Tyler on the phone after the inspection was finally complete, Tyler said he failed the brakes and rotors due to brake shake. My husband was not pleased with that answer, and told Tyler that was an unacceptable excuse, since there was no “brake shake” before we brought the car in initially. Tyler got loud, my husband got loud, and ended with my husband telling Tyler we will not be bringing our vehicles here for service again. Tyler said, “Good! I don’t want customers like you!” I would give zero stars if I could. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Used this place for a little over two years. Never had any issues before. I got charged $160 to mount/balance 4 tires that I already owned today. My ankles feel grabbed. Get me dinner next time.

This garage doesnt follow customers directions. I asked the owner of the garage to tell his mechanics to install the rear wheel bearings on my vehicle and he failed to do so. I gave them a second chance and went back again and it was a worse experience than the first. I dont trust them to get the job done in a timely fashion. This garage took 10 hours to install the Hub Assembly, the Rotars and the Brake Pads on my vehicle. Every component is beside one another. There excuse was that they were sent the wrong parts from the parts store. 10 hours though? They have lost a customer due to poor time management.

The check engine light came on about a week ago for my 2009 Jeep Wrangler. This car runs like a champ, and besides some minor leaks and part replacements it hasnt needed much in the past few years. I go to Elizabethtown College and I needed a quick engine check test which since then I have found out that engine check tests are free at AutoZone. I did the ol ignition key trick where you can bring up an engine error code...and no luck. No code came up!Anyway I dropped it off at Moats for a quick check (39.99$+ tax) and figured it was a bad part somewhere. The lady from Moats calls me back and tells me its a bad 02 sensor and that itll cost 200$-250$ to fix plus the engine check cost. So I told her Id fix it myself, grab my car and pay the 42$ and change for the engine check. Google says thats about 50$-125$ for the new sensor online...so yeah I told her in parting I was just trying to save a buck and do the work myself.I bought a 14$ socket set part on Amazon to tighter the sensor...and a week later the check engine light goes off. Hopefully they would have told me the sensor WAS NOT faulty, and that it was just loose...but either way doing it myself I am now saving about 140$ had they charged me 200$ total. Take my advice, fix your cars yourself and have a trusted mechanic/friend do your engine checks. I wont be returning to Moats Auto.

The quickest and friendliest service I have ever received at a shop. My car was fixed in an hour and a half. From the phone call I made to schedule my appointment, to the phone calls in between letting me know what was wrong with my car, to when my car was ready, to payment, everything was so easy! I highly recommend. This will be the only place I go from now on!

Left a vehicle here for repair. Upon picking up the vehicle windshield is cracked. Owner would not discuss the matter… I expected a friendly discussion to see if the cause could be determined but the owner, after failing to return my call twice, when reached was finally rude, accusatory, and hung up on me before I had a chance to say anything to him. Not a problem, my insurance covered all but $50, but I learned a lesson about who I would be dealing with if I went back here, which I won’t.

I was pulling out of work and ran over a nail, I called them to see if they could plug it. The man stated if I got there before 4 he could do it for me but his shift was over at 4. Well going threw town was a journey in itself. I got there at 354. Any other place would have turned me away. But the older man who always pumps everyones gas said he would still do it for me, he clocked out and still continued to work on my vehicle for me without being paid. He said he would never turn someine away that needed his help. Im not sure if this mans name, but I know he has been there for many years. And very polite, kind, and caring. So to you sir, I say thank you
