Knew what they were doing and fast about it. Really nice guys, very educational discussion, made sure I understood problem and options. Super fast, like in an hour did what my normal mechanic would take a week to get to and would have charged me 4 hours instead of their one hour. Super job guys! This was the cheapest place I found to replace front pads and rear drum pads. They advertise for $179 for all 4. I called and got an appointment within 2 hours and got my car in 15 minutes early as I showed up early. They took all the brakes off and then escorted me back to my car and showed me the pads. They most definitely needed to be changed. Once back there they did try to upcharge me with the $279 package which included ceramic breaks and squealers or something like that. It came with a longer warranty and maybe a few other selling points. I opted to remain with the advertised $179 package and have no regrets. My car stops perfect at the press of the brake pedal. Another service station tried quoting me over $600 but wanted to sell me new rotars and all this extra stuff. At least this place was rather honest and showed me the pads and everything done before continuing with the process.Id highly recommend this place as it was fast service, the right price and pretty friendly people.

I had a percived problem with my brakes, and brought in my car to get it fixed. They explained it was a small problem due to lower quality pads causing squeaking but caused no safety issues. When I went to pay was tood I owr nothing due to diagnosis being free. Very professional and kind. Thank you guys.

I went to the dealership about 3 weeks ago and they told me I needed all new rotors and breaks and it was going to be almost $600.00 and take about 3 hours. Knowing this I waited till closer to payday to make my appointment for Breakaway. When I told the guy at the front desk what the dealership told me he smiled and said that they would do their own inspection and call me. When he called he told me I do not need new rotors they had plenty of life on them and just needed cut and then he went over which break package that would be best for me. All together everything is going to cost me about $260.00 and is not going to take nearly as long to do. If I would have know this I would not have waited to get them done and they are saving me well over 250.00. We have 4 vehicles that we maintain and we will be bringing them here from now on for any brake issues.

Brakeway is a good place if you need an inspection they will make sure everything looks good and make recommendations. Good mechanics and pretty timely.

I am an older automotive mechanic and have worked on countless cars. Due to health reasons, I can no longer do it. I took my classic car to Brakeway because they advertised 4 wheel brake job starting at $159. the estimate was around a thousand dollars. I left there without letting the work be done. Here is the kicker. three hours plus in a very warm uncomfortable waiting area, no snack or drink machines, place was dirty, employees leaving, employees looking for employees that just left without telling anyone, Filthy bathroom, and the big one........ I acted like I didnt know a THING about cars when in actuality I worked restoring many classic cars as well as a mechanic for over 40 years. The total repair cost wound up to be less than Two hundred dollars, and took less than a hour to complete. including labor. They tried to sell me parts that were marked up 300% and readily available at the local auto parts store. This place should be investigated, charged for misleading the public and shut down IMHO.

Brakeway is the best location to get your brake needs taken care of. The quality of workmanship and warranties they offer ensure it to be a carefree road ahead. Hands down. The employees and manager are very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The clean office area and waiting room were very comforting as well. 👍

Absolutely satisfied. Jeff took us to the car and showed us exactly what was going on with the breaks. Didnt pressure us at all to buy the more expensive packages although we did because it just made sense. Service was fast and friendly and the total bill was less than half of what the dealership was going to charge, and we got more done with what little we spent. IV gotta say, Im happy with their service and will definitely be a repeat customer. Great job!!!Once again too my truck here. I had a grinding after I had left so I took it back. They got everything apart and showed me what was wrong. It had nothing to do with the work they did prior. Completely unrelated. They did a temporary fix to get me back on the road and didnt charge me. They recommend done work but didnt pressure. What a great bunch of folks here. 😀😀

Recently, I had quick, efficient, inexpensive brake jobs done on two cars. The employees were friendly and competent. I was in and out faster than I expected. And the price was very reasonable for the work done. I had a very good experience with Brakeway of Elizabethtown, KY. I certainly dont expect to need more brake work for a while but when I do, I will return to Brakeway. I highly recommend it!

Im always weary with brake places after past experiences. I was sure that I needed new pads and expected to be told that there were a hundred other things that needed to be done also.I particular in the free inspection and was told that everything was fine! The squeaking must have been from some built up crud.If I do need any work done in the future, this is where Ill go!

I called for an appointment and was able to get one the same day. Jeff was very open and honest with the issues my brakes had. He in no way pressured me into any deal. When a specialized shop recommends something, one has to ask why and I did. He explained in full detail and I choose what was best for my vehicle. First time ever using a place to install brake pads. I was impressed by the friendliness at the front counter, but I really liked the fact that they inspect your brakes first and then take you to show the problem. He told me the back rotors needed replacing and the front ones could be grinded. He showed the prices which was the lowest three depending on what I chose. I was surprised because I thought for sure he would quote one of the highest. I chose the lowest and let my husband replace the back rotors since he thought he had a warranty on them. I walked out with a $150.00 final price and a 12 month warranty. I would have to say my biggest surprise was when I made my decision, he was not pushy at all and said, okay, we will get started. What a shock! My husband warned me to watch out that they would try to sell me a higher price deal, but to my surprise he did not.Brakes were wonderful when I left. Totally different. At this time, I would say everything was great. Time will tell a lot of things, but I felt the customer service was excellent and price was great for what all I had done.

I was not pleased. Man at front desk was rude when I walked in and I ended up paying 352$ for front brakes. Definitely not what they advertise. Will not return

Called around 1pm and was able to get an appointment by 3pm the same day. Took my car there and was brought in the back to be shown what I thought was the problem (brake pads and rotors) so I wasn’t hit with the whole “you need this..you need that”. I was able to see EXACTLY what the problem was and what was going to be done to fix it. Quick and fast..four new brake pads and two new rear rotors..took about an hour in a half. Extremely satisfied with Jeff and the guys at Breakway. Will definitely go back for any upkeep on my other vehicles. Will recommend this place to my family and friends.

I went in there Tuesday because my front brakes were squeaking. I knew they needed to be replaced. The guy at the counter was friendly enough, had my brakes inspected and let me look. Said my front brakes needed to be replaced and the back ones were at about 50% life so they were fine. I got the price quote for the front only and it was $119....that seemed off since the 4 wheel brake job was $139. I opted to have all 4 wheels done. The guy told me that they recommend I have my hardware replaced on the back brakes whenever I have them changed and to do that it would be the next package. I told them to just change the brakes and not the hardware since it was only a recommendation. Over an hour later, they are done but not happy with the results. Since I opted to not replace my hardware on the back brakes the springs are loose and now when I stop it sounds horrible. The brakes or hardware I guess sound like a squeaky old bed. UGH. Guy at the counter told me I could bring it back and get the hardware changed out on the back brakes and pay the difference. I told him he should have told me this would happen in the first place. His response was I told you we recommend you change the hardware. I suggested next time, they should say it could cause noisy brakes. I want to go get them fixed but I really dont want to go back there.

I went to get my brakes done and they worked on them fast. the prices where reasonable but within 6 months or less my brakes are screaching constantly. its not been the same since. I will not be going back. this should of never happened.

I walked in and was immediately greeted by Jeff. He was friendly and polite. After the free inspection they took me out there and showed me what needed to be done. Yes, it ended up being more than $140 like I first thought but with out them letting me know what was wrong with my car I would have never known. I wasnt able to afford all of the repairs at the moment but I will be going back for them when I can.

I am satisfied with my service. I called ahead on Thursday to schedule for Saturday. I dropped off and approx. two to three hours later work was completed. The charges were addressed over the phone and were agreed to accurately. The charges for service and parts were greater than advertised, so be sure to pay attention to detail during your transaction. This is a good place to go if you are short on time. The only recommendation I have is to improve the quality of the phone service. I found it difficult to fully understand the phone conversation because of poor phone signal and background sounds (music).

My first experience was today and I was amazed. The guy behind the counter was polite and knowledgeable. I explained my issue and he offered to do a free inspection to determine the problem. I had already had previous brake work elsewhere, but was still having issues. I was kept informed during the inspection and then he took me to the vehicle so that he could show and explain what was causing the issues. He quoted a price about 50% less than what I was quoted at another shop and was even able to work with that price. I was able to have the work completed the same day and in less time than was initially stated. I am very pleased with my entire experience and am now driving a safe vehicle. I would recommend the Elizabethtown location to all my friends and family.

Brakeway was my lifesaver today! So, I had originally scheduled a brake service with Michels Tires Plus in Radcliff. Showed up with appt card in hand and was told they had double booked and had no available slots for today. Thankfully, my Papa was able to recommend Brakeway and Im so glad. They got me right in! The staff is friendly and very informative. You can tell they want to send you off with their best. Happy with the deal I received.

Had appointment for 8am. Checked in as soon as they opened. They did their inspection. Only needed front brakes. Waited 3hrs and they charged me $200 for front brakes only. Kinda confused on how you can get brakes all the way around for $159 plus tax and shop fee....Would not recommend this place at all.

They advertised a $159 brake job but mine cost $ 500. Immediately after having brakes put on, it started making a metal on metal grinding. I took it back and they found that one of the bolts had fallen out and others hadnt been tightened down. To top it off, when I picked it up the counter man was totally rude when I asked about the issue. I have learned my lesson and will never try to cheap out again.

Loved the whole place start to finish. I had previously went to another place and my estimate was 967, came to this place and got it for under 300! Went in this place a week ago to get a estimate on front and back breaks on my suv. Now before I went here I had taken my suv to 4 different places to get a estimates wanted to make sure Im getting good prices. On all the places I went the average was around 400.00 which sounded about right. After they did there inspection he brings me a paper with me needing about 1200.00 worth of work. So needless to say didnt get the work done there. So took there estimate to the 4 other places and asked did they see any of the things on brakeway estimate. I mean if it needs to be done then cool Ill get it done.. All 4 places said they did not see any of what brakeway said other than the break issue that I was aware of. So pleased before you allow this business do work on your car do your research.

Wish I could give 0 stars. I was waiting for nearly six hours with my baby in tow. I had an appointment at 11am with a guy named Jeff. I dont care what the excuse was, there is no reason for someone to have to wait that long for breaks.

Jeff showed what all was wrong with my truck, and what I needed to have repaired. He explained what was needed at the minimum to be road safe, to help keep me in a tight budget until I can get everything fixed. My husband took our truck in to get the brakes replaced.. when then took the vehicle to get the tires rotated they told us they couldnt do it because all the lig nuts had been cross threaded and when my husband brought the truck home to replace the the one they had snapped trying to get it off 3 of them snapped off we havent even started the other side. We will never bring our vehicles back here again.

Talked my boyfriend into getting roturs when he DID NOT need them, nor did he ask for new ones. So, he ended up spending $460.00 of money we dont have versus the $200.00 we were expecting. Shame on you Brakeway.

I brought my car in for the advertised $139 brake job, my car is under factory warranty and had recently been inspected with my certified hyundai mechanic, whenever I arrived there they wanted to test drive my car and I allowed this... 15 minutes later I receive a quote of almost $400 for rear brakes and for the front $139 and two new rotors which were $90 each. I explained I knew my rotors could be turned and not replaced...I was informed that that was not possible on my car and that I would have to purchase new. I asked what about the advertised prices and cant they perform whats advertised...the man was rude from the beginning and I picked my car without allowing this poor company to repair my car. My regular mechanic will repair my car on Wednesday. I feel I was trying to be swindled because I am a woman. I would not recommend this buisness to anyone.

Dont go here. They broke a brake line and charged me $100 to fix it. f it was broken before I couldnt have driven there. Then when I picked up my vehicle and left my brake peddle would go all the way to the floor I went back he took it for a test drive and said it was fine. I told him theres air in the line but he refused to bleed them. Now the ABS light is on which it never was before and he says that it has nothing to do with the work they did so Its not covered under their warranty. TOTAL RIP OFF!!!!!
