I have used them in the past (in 2016) and they were great! My grass looked like the greens of a golf course... but not this year? I started their services in April this year and noticed a positive difference, however that didnt last long. I called them in June and requested a specialist to come out to look and evaluate my unhealthy grass and no one ever came. I also noticed that not the same TruGreen technician would come out every time. In my previous experience with them, the same technician would come out every time (which allowed them to know my grass and its progress). Now its September and my grass is still blotchy and has weeds. It is not lack of water because I made sure my sprinklers were running properly and the grass was getting water before I called to express my concern. So I decided to cancel my service with them. Great people but they are lacking attention this year (not sure if its due to change of management or Covid -19 but its not fair for me to prepay for a year service and not get what they promised)

Had to talk to five customer service personnel, because it seemed non of them knew what they were talking about!! The last one told me they didn’t sell the service I needed for my yard when in fact they had just provided the service less than a year ago.The crazy part is that the second person I talked to actually was in the process of charging me for a service that I wanted but she hung up on me.Trugreen you have a good product, but your call centers are trash. Get rid of them and you will see your sales grow!

Its worst service communicated ever!! We have called to have service for fertilize and kill weeds. No exactly time to come. We have tried to called reschedule service but have to waited so long and then they still come to service at my backyard with nobody home just come to the backyard by the side of the house with my all 3 dogs at the backyard!! and leave the noted that they can service just fertilized but cant do kill weed because of the dogs. So the second time is the same thing, cant tell exactly time of the service. We have to standby at home all day because we dont want to miss the service again. You guys used to do great job since 2016 and what happened now??

The service itself is good, but if you need to call customer service good luck. I had to call four times to get my account in order and had to spend 2 hours on hold or chat online for an hour every time. Good product backed by horrible customer service, make sure you get the name of the rep and confirmation number or the conversation never happened.

This week requested service as weeds are out of control. My wife called on Monday to get service and the call center said they would be here Wednesday. No show on Wednesday, we called back and Trugreen said there was a correction, that they would be here on Wednesday through Friday. Its Friday August 20, 2021 3 PM and no show. Called again, and they said they have us scheduled for tomorrow Saturday 8/21/2021. Looking at the True Green website for El Paso, TX and they are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Told me they could over seed my lawn. When the guy came out to my house he told me they dont do over seeding. I tried to get in contact to cancel service. No one will call u back or they tell you to hold for like an hour. But they were quick to take my money. I Disputed the charge with my credit card company they refunded it back. Now trugreen charged me again had to cancel my card. It was an Unauthorized charge.

I was shopping around for Mosquito control in my area. Initially the representative told me that their mosquito treatment not only treated mosquitos but other insects as well including ticks. Well short story I didnt initially get the service but was given a great price for a years treatment. Come to find out the tech comes out to my house and says that I dont have enough trees, plants etc to warrant a spray as they only spray the vegetation and not the house or boundaries. Well took several calls and being on hold for over 20 to 30 minutes to finally get someone to tell me they would only do 5 applications in one year June 2021 to June 2022, and thats what I had gotten. So i could spread my 5 applications in 12 months. NOT what I had signed up for thats pointless.Try it yourself call for a new service SOMONE Will answer promptly... then call and try the option of existing customer with ISSUE, you will see how long you have to wait. In the end I cancelled the service, if this is what I can expect going forward no thank you! SHADDY and deceptive practice.

To Whom it May Concern: My name is Vickie Salyer and I live in El Paso, TX. I hired TruGreen El Paso, 1330 Northwestern Dr. El Paso, TX 79912. The gentleman I spoke to explained that I would get better service and a discount if I bought a year service prepaid plan. I explained to the gentleman that I am suffering with advanced Multiple Sclerosis and have problems getting around. That they could not service the yard before 9 am and I needed extra time to get to the door if they needed to talk with me. Also, they would have to use the pool gate to get in the back yard and gave the gentleman the code to the gate. He agreed to my terms, and I bought a prepaid plan for complete yard care for a year.After buying this complete yard service that includes: TruHealth Lawn Plan, Tree & Shrub Service, Mosquito Defense plan that cost me almost $1500.00. They came on April 15th to do the first service. Since then, only the Mosquito Service has been done in the front yard on 5/18/21.I have tried multiple times and multiple ways of getting a hold of the local service and the national service. First anyone that lives in El Paso knows Mosquito season does not start until June at the earliest. Spraying in April and May is a waste of chemicals. I postponed the service on the TruGreen app, but they came anyway. Now, I do not have enough services to get me through actual mosquito season.My major complaint comes with the Lawn and Tree Services. They have not come back even though I was assured if I went through the TruGreen app that they would come back and take care of my issues at no charge. I have posted on the app multiple times; I have called the local number and national number multiple times staying on hold up to an hour each time with no answer or call back from anyone. I went through the virtual chat and asked for someone to call me, no call back.Finally, I decided to call through new services. I got someone almost immediately. I explained the problem and they placed me on hold for 45 minutes and someone came on the line. I explained the situation to her and asked for service on my yard. I got a schedule on June 4th for the Lawn Plan.The technician showed up at 7:50 am, rang the doorbell once got back in his truck and left. He did not even give me time to get to the door. He posted on the app that he could not even get in the back yard. The technician did not even go near the pool gate to see if it was unlocked, he just left. I have proof of this because my Ring Video Security tracked his movements.I called TruGreen (through new services) explained the situation and got put on hold for over an hour. When someone from services got on the line, I had to reexplain the situation and she told me that I would have to wait another month for service. I told them if they weren’t out here by end of the day, I wanted a refund of my money. She wouldn’t even contact the local office. My next step will be to go to the local office if no one shows up.I should of never of trusted TruGreen and paid for them in advance. But I thought a national company could be trusted. This is a warning to everyone that this company just wants your money, has terrible customer service, and will not help you even if you are disabled. Also, most importantly they do not keep their WORD.God Bless.

I used Tru Green for roughly 2 years. After I noticed that their products started to kill my grass/brown the lawn, I cancelled the service and paid my last bill. Unbeknownst to me, their service team continued to spray my lawn. I did not receive anymore bills after I cancelled service and I did not see their little handy dandy lawn flag that they used to leave after application. I sold my house and moved out of state about 3 months after I cancelled service and much to my surprise, I received a bill at my new address (forwarded mail). I contacted Tru Green and asked what this bill was for, I do not live there anymore and I cancelled service LONG ago. She stated that service was not cancelled!! I promptly RE-Cancelled service and paid the $60.95 bill as I didn’t have the energy to argue my case to an uninterested teleworker. Lo and behold, I received a letter from a collection agency trying to collect the $60.95 that I ALREADY PAID! This business is unprofessional and their administrative practices are incompetent. I worked hard for 15 years to achieve this excellent credit and this bootleg company has put that in jeopardy. Not only is their product questionable (kills weeds AND grass), but they could not care less about ruining your credit. If you value your credit score, do not get sucked into a contract with these people. Better yet, avoid them altogether!

Billing not local so when issues there is difficulty getting resolution with national billing line. Scheduled services often rescheduled. Little to no experience or expertise with Tall Fescue grass/lawn which does not go dormant- its a year-round grass. Tech constantly wanting to perform weed control instead of fertilizer. Tall fescue requires more fertilizer in lieu of weed control -especially in winter months.

I was so dissatisfied with the service I received from this company. They were not able to solve the weed issue and still no improvement in grass growth even with watering exactly as I was told. I more than doubled my water bill and wasted what I paid Trugreen, as there were no positive results to speak of. To make matters worse, I asked to not be contacted in any way ever again by this company due to poor service and worse results. In the YEARS since I terminated business with this company, I have contacted corporate and customer service as well as local management countless times to STOP all contact from them and yet I still receive marketing emails, calls and mail. They are unprofessional and I would pay to kill every plant in my neighborhood before I accepted free services from trugreen.

You cant even get these people to show up for the first service! Horrible! And Samuel? Good luck with him. If you cant do what the company advertises, then dont work there. After 5 attempts, I give up. They act as if you want something for free. It surely is not. Take your money elsewhere.

Scheduled a service without calling me..had to let them know I would be away. Rescheduled and waited from 10 am til 5..no show. Called office. They sent the tech my number. No call back. No explanation. Will go with more reliable company.

I am super upset with their recent service in my area. 3 times the tech said he came by but couldnt perform the service because my dogs were outside. Not true any of the times. I have cameras on my property and he didnt even bother to drive by any of the times. So after the 3rd time I cancelled. They called me again, apologized, said they would send someone else and it would be a free service. Okay. It happens again, same tech, but they reschedule. Finally a different tech comes by, gets the free service done, except I get charged for it. I call again and tell them Im not interested in anything. They schedule another supposedly free service? I call back tell them NO, stay off my property, I dont want them coming by. They cancel. 1 week later, guy shows up (this time no text notification) comes into my backyard. My dogs were out since I had no idea anyone was coming AGAIN. Guy leaves my gates open & knocks one entirely down????? (I have 2 gates set up to keep dogs safe distance away from street gate). At least close my gates so my dogs dont get out? All this after I had called AT LEAST 5 times to tell them I DO NOT WANT THEM COMING TO MY HOUSE. At this point Im just going to call the cops????? I MEAN, WHAT THE HELL. This is straight up harassment. And if my dogs had gotten out, there would be hell to pay, for sure. Thankfully my dogs arent interested in running out of the house.... But seriously?STOP HARASSING ME. STOP COMING TO MY HOUSE. In June of this year I prepaid for a years service for fertilization and weed control. The one and only service I have received so far was on June 19th. My understanding of the written contract we entered was True Green was to provide 8 services every 4-6 months. Apparently, their understanding of the contract was to only provide me the initial service then enjoy the $815 interest free loan courtesy of yours truly. I have contacted their customer service representatives (not local) at least 5 times plus the El Paso office twice including their manager. Every time I contacted them I was told my lawn would be serviced at their next available opening, but that never happened.Apparently, there must be a high concentration of COVID floating around El Paso/Las Cruces lawns preventing them frombeing serviced...weird. We are now going on 8 weeks since my last service and my lawn has suffered due to lack of nutrition and now I have a nut sedge infestation due to zero weed control. I dont know if New Mexico residents are at the bottom of the list due to the distance from the El Paso servicing office, but from the other reviews it appears everyone is being ignored. If you are familiar with the monsoon season here you know there is a limited window to take full advantage of the precipitation of which True Green totally dropped the ball.I left an abundance of feedback directly to the company (at least 7 calls) before leaving a public review to give True Green an opportunity to resolve the issue, but here we are. If any other business was run like this it would be belly up within a year...which may very well be the case for this office if their Memphis headquarters caught wind of how this office is being run. I do not recommend True Green and I definitely do not recommend paying up front as it appears you move to the bottom of the list.I am currently looking into reaching out to the New Mexico & Texas Consumer Protections Office to report this behavior and seeing about recouping the remainder (if not all) of the money I paid upfront in good faith. If you are considering using this business please read all the reviews as there seems to be a common thread throughout.Update: I cancelled my service a week ago and just today I received two calls from different representatives trying to sell services. Its over TrueGreen, were done, get over it. I contacted customer service and had them put me on a do not contact list, lets see how that works out. I swear I feel like getting away from a cult would be easier!

Had a mosquito treatment scheduled today from 7 AM to 12PM and after 3 hours past that window, I called to inquire the status, and the answer I got was “your service was passed by today but if you want we can reschedule 7days from today”This is not acceptable. Good by Trugreen

My lawn has improved significantly since employing TruGreen. I receive numerous compliments on it regularly. My specialist is very professional, friendly and always has the answers to my questions or is willing to get the answer. I am very satisfied with my specialist. I have been pleased when contacting TruGreen for a follow up visit for weed control, and I think the price is fair for the results weve seen.

Hello, I am very upset with the service we were not provided today. We were to have our first treatment today 4.20.20. We were to have front, back, and side yard to be treated. I was home all day right by the front door because I have several packages and TruGreen to come by today. I called my husband multiple times to check and see if they were still coming since I had several things I needed to remove from the backyard for a rockwall replastering job that is going to be done but I didnt want to miss TruGreen. So I was going to wait to move stuff so I can make sure I can get the guy in by unlocking the gates.I had both gates locked and I have 3 dogs. Come 3pm and apparently the guy said on the receipt he was practicing social distancing on the sheet so he didnt ring the door bell. So I was unable to see him by the door, the dogs didnt bark, the gates were still locked and all the times I opened the door to receive my packages, I never saw him and some how you were able to treat the yards?! My husband is more forgiving than I am so he is giving them a second chance to make it right but the way I see it is if you are lying to a customer the first time, the trust is broken. Now I have to stay home another day and sit by the door again to make sure they do what they said and are paid to do. I could be taking care of my patients who need help during this crisis but instead, have to babysit a company? Front door camera doesnt show anyone coming or going around the yard either. If things are not right, I will have to let them go and I will definitely record a review and post it on my gardening group, which it the biggest one in El Paso on the poor quality and integrity of their company. I really hope they come through. But as of right now, today, I am Very Very Very upset. Now I have to move all that stuff and get ready for the rockwall job in the heat. Another review to follow on Friday when they are supposed to show up. Lets see if they will call ahead to confirm the appointment this time. We will see.

After my first weed control treatment all my roses were burned, I spoke with technician that came last week and told me that probably it was because the first person that did it went too close to the roses, but he is no longer working for TrueGreen. I was disappointing when the local rep in El Paso Texas called me and didnt care about it, his comments were that roses are too fragile. I told him that wasnt on planning to renew my contract next year and his answer was that it was OK.

Absolutely horrible customer service and I have not even been serviced yet. When you sign up everyone is very helpful, I was told it would be a couple of days, three days pass then I am told service would be the following day, I asked and was confirmed first run, following day comes and goes, no one calls, I call to see what is happened, I am told it is scheduled for following day. I ask what service I am receiving, they state it is a service I did not ask for, I ask to clarify, was told I should have Shield. Once again, I am told I will be first run, then I call following day and am told service block is 1 PM to 6 PM. To boot, I am told service is not Shield in system. Throughout the last couple of days, I have asked for corporate contact number and was given a fake number, I finally contacted corporate and they seem not to care either. No local manager has even tried to contact me to ease the confusion. If this is how I am treated and technically I am NOT a serviced customer yet, what kind of treatment will I get once I am serviced? Horrible! Should be no stars from this potential customer. Cancelled!

The TruGreen specialists that have visited our yard have been polite and friendly. They get the job done quietly and quickly. Our yard is overall greener and has fewer weeds than it did before we began treatment. We do continue to have a few weeds, mostly stubborn clover, and have had three bushes turn browner, with one apparently dying after having had our bushes treated one time by TruGreen. Not sure what happened, and just hope the other two bushes turn around and become healthier.

I contracted this service for an especific treatment of my lawn, payed in advance. After a couple of applications I wasnt impressed with the service but I decided to let them finish all the applications. Before the last aplication I started to receive offers to renew, which I decided not to take. Months later I received a collection notice, when I called to inquire, because nowhere in the email I received when I first hired their service stated that after completed the contracted service I had to cancel, after all I paid for an especific amount of applications in advance. Now they are saying that they made additional applications that I didnt asked for in the first place.

I received repeated calls from a TruGreen salesman who convinced me to try the service. I received the first application, but was stood up on repeated occasions after that. They made me wait at my house all day and did not receive a phone call that they would not be coming. I have made three calls and requested to speak with a supervisor and all my request have gone unanswered. Very disappointed with the service and the customer care. I feel I spent my money on the first application for them not to have the courtesy to continue with what they promised.

We called to have someone look at the Spidermites on our Evergreens that were eating away at them. They were supposed to come out to take care of it and never did and never called. They also told us they did not work on Sunday. When we called them back they said they called to say they were coming out on May 12. This happened to be Sunday. They also never called. They are supposed to call a day before. This never added up. If a company does not want to do the work and miss business they must not need it. I hope Corporate HQs doesnt feel the same.

Ive been using both their TruComplete lawn service for my back yard lawn and desertscape weed control service for my front desertscape for the past 4 months.I have had zero issues with weeds in my front yard desertscape (which has always been a huge problem), and my lawn is showing noticeable improvements over last season. Weeds and foreign grass in my lawn has almost completely been eliminated, and its looking green and healthy, with just a few trouble spots still lingering.I cant speak much to the customer service as Ive never meet the technicians, but the results have been good.I only rate 4 stars because I was promised a promotional rate for the first treatment on my lawn and desertscape, but was only given the promotional rate for the lawn service. When I called the sales rep to inquire he said he would make it right and give the promo rate on the second service, but that didnt happen either. Its not the end of the world (I think its a $10 discount), but you shouldnt offer if you cant deliver.

Tee guys from Trugreen do a wonderful job on my lawn! I have lived here for 17 years and my yard has never looked this good ! They are very professional and if I have any questions they so nice to explain what I am asking. My mowing crew says that it is so much easier to mow since I have started with Trugreen. The expence is well worth the pleasure of looking out at my pretty yard! Trugreen services several lawns on my street and you can certainly tell by looking which ones they are!!
