Kennedy Tire has serviced my cars for 24 years. They are totally dependable. They do not try to sell me services that are not needed and are very good to take the time to explain to me why each thing they are working on needs repairs and what the cost will be. They will even tell me if it can be done at a later time. I recommend Kennedy for any make or model of car. I have a Volvo that has to have special service and they are certified for all makes.

I have asked a lot of Kennedy over the 10 years I’ve been going to them. Because I live with my dad, who is particular about what he does and what they do, I sometimes refuse services he’s comfortable doing (e.g., replacing spark plugs) or tell them my dad did the recommended maintenance. They always track it and are very gracious about it. While I know the basics, like changing oil, cars are not my thing, and they always patiently explain exactly what’s wrong and why they recommend what they recommend.They don’t just do the bare minimum, they tell you everything that should or can be done for optimal and let you choose. This last time I went, I had an oil leak. They said it’s slow so it’s probably okay to wait until the next oil change, but recommended it get looked at. It ended up dripping on the exhaust and being important to fix. I appreciate that they were honest about what they could and could not see from their assessment and let me choose what risks I was willing to take.

These guys were amazing! I needed several things done on my car and I asked them to check on several more. They fixed what needed to be fixed at a fair and reasonable price and let me know when I didnt need to spend money fixing something that was just fine. I really appreciated the advice and honesty. I will be going back to these guys for all my auto repair needs.

Fit me in and got the work done fast. Good service but overpriced on parts. I agreed to the work and paid, but $100 worth of parts cost almost $400. If you use them, know you will be paying a premium.UPDATE: I have not received your call. For the record, I am being truthful. I looked up the part that on my bill and even the most expensive one was $25 X4 =$100. Your cost was $376, for the same part. Please dont be disparaging to me, I am not to your business. Having moved here recently, I was a bit hesitant to take my VW there because I have always taken it to the dealership where I purchased it. Parts for this type of vehicle are very expensive, not to mention labor. The first place we took it to quoted us OVER $2,500!!! Kennedy Auto Repair fixed it all (and then some) quickly for $900!!! So, clearly we are talking about saving A LOT of money here for a job well-done. PLUS a very good warranty, too!!! You can’t go wrong taking your car here!!

I have been looking for a new place to do regular maintenance on my vehicle. I tried Kennedy Tire & Auto this week based on reviews and it being a family owned business. The lobby staff was friendly and the service was exceptional.

Had a blowout on the highway and has to get my truck towed. I was going to show up @5:45 and they told me I was pretty adamant that we told you we closed at 6:00. Thanks for nothing. God forbid someone works a minute past closing. Thank you discount tire for staying open!

First of all, this price match.. is straight up false advertising.. they refused to match price on the tires I had found elsewhere.. it’s a marketing pitch.. they gave me the same line when I went in this morning in regards to a quote on replacing O2 sensors..Almost $1000 to replace all 4 o2 sensors.. $200 for parts at any auto store.. so something approaching $800 in labor.. sorry but your math is not making any sense at all.. even if the rate is $100/hr.. that’s 8 hours.. this is not an 8 hour job.. no way, no how..Been doing all my service there.. will be finding a new mechanic..

I called when they opened to have them perform their free brake check and Chris stated they would look at it once I dropped it off.Im thinking theyll get back to me near the end of the day, especially since I didnt have an appointment. A few hours later, they sent me a text and then followed up with a phone call to inform me of the results.There was no pressure to have them perform the service. They simply did what they stated, free brake check and left it up to me to make the choice. Great customer service from Shelby as she welcomed me and offered coffee upon my arrival and even great conversation about churches in the local area.I will continue to let Kennedys be the service provider for any of my vehicles needs!

I love to support local businesses but not when they dont do business honestly.We have used them several times. We have purchased tires, brakes and have had a few oil changes with them. Each time they have gotten worse and more expensive, trying to nickle and dime us with needless charges and warranties. This most recent time I askes for a oil change and I mentioned I have a small leak, and the mechanic I was speaking to threatened me by stating You will need a new oil pan, but if you dont buy one while were changing your oil then you can just have your truck towed somewhere else.I do not recommend them for any service or repair.

I was doing some price comparisons, and thought I would take my truck to another place. They said, we want your business, the guys at Kennedy price matched their competitors and gave me a warranty! Thank you guys for the great customer service!!!

I went in for what I thought was a fuel leak. Good news only need to change spark plugs, wire and ignition coil, a basic tune up for an American car. The estimate, $1,000.00. Go figure. Buyer beware!!!!Updated 5/18/2021:I specifically said the bare minimum work. The quote was actually $997.00. I failed to mention throttle body service, which is a simple task of spraying and wiping it.So they said the estimate was actually $700.00 plus $226.00 for required maintenance. Bare minimum means get whatever needs to be fixed, that is it. However, it is neither here nor there.I went to Jiffy Lube down the street and they said replacing spark plugs and wires plus labor would be $249.00. The ignition coil would be extra. I dont need a super duper long warranty especially if you stand behind your work and products, ORIGINALLY.I ended up buying spark plugs, spark plug wires, (1) ignition coil (not sure what all ignition coils are), brand new wrench set, and brand new spark plug socket all for under $125.00. There was no need to jack up van to go under it. There was no need to take many parts to do the replacement. It was a fairly easy procedure. Cleaning the throttle entailed buy a can of spray for another few bucks.In a nutshell, $700.00 for a spark plugs, wires, ignition coil, and throttle body maintenance, is a bit over priced. You might as well give a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty to out do everyone else. I love warranties and THE FINE PRINT. THANKS BUT NO THANKS. TAKE YOUR CAR TO ANOTHER BUSINESS. CONSUMERS... If the work is done properly, you have the best mechanics, and you stand behind your quality of work, the spark plugs should not fail. It would not surprise be if someone did go in for warranty issues because failure, it would be time for another change in spark plugs and wires. I just love warranties and their fine print.I had to respond to this because I want the readers to understand I am not a liar or deceitful. I have nothing to gain by distorting the truth.In all fairness, if you were forthright in over charging me and refunded me my estimate (for being dishonest) I would have taken this review down. However, I want everyone who reads to think twice about using your establishment.Dont take this personal. Talking about that companies employees and drug test has nothing to do with your business forgetting to put a part back together.. like your statement its not a perfect world.... so why are you bashing another company. In the end though you did refund me my money that I had to spend at the other dealership so I thank you for that.

This was my first time doing business at Kennedy Tires and Auto Service. I trusted Burt and I had a few things needed to be done. He itemized all the needed repairs, have a price and prioritized which should be for first so I don’t have to spend $ on all repairs at the same time. Did just that and no doubt will continue to do business at Kennedy Tires and Auto Service. Definitely a great place for women who don’t want to be taken advantage of. Burt was not pushy or give me any reason to panic. Great experience.

Work was excellent, except some work was done that was specifically requested not to be. The online appointment form did not allow for many options, so Air Filter was selected. When I contacted them and the tech asked about it, I told him we did not need the cabin filter changed but needed AC service instead. The AC now works better than it ever has, but the filter was changed and we were charged nearly $100 for parts and labor to replace it - which I could’ve done myself for less than half that. Otherwise the service was good.Edit: Response to the owners statement below - see the included pic. My bad, I was charged $55.95 not $100 to replace a cabin filter. But your statement is false, I contacted your technician BEFORE any work was done and told him not to worry about the cabin filter, and that I would change it myself. You should really check your facts before calling someone a liar, and for that I adjust my review to 1 star. Also, your $49.95 AC Service ad is false advertising, its a diagnostic - no service is done for that price. They just tell you whats wrong, and you have to come back in and pay even more for them to actually fix anything. Dear Owner - stick to management and money making, its obvious customer service is NOT your forte.

While they were able to tell my husband what was wrong with his car they quoted him $900 to fix the brake pads and rotors. When my husband said he wasnt interested in them fixing it, they lowered the price to $650. He still didnt want to pay that much to have it fixed, so they told him it wasnt road safe and he shouldnt even drive it home.What they failed to tell him was while putting the tires back on they broke 3/5 lug nuts off the front drivers tire, which is what actually made it unsafe to drive.We did wind up going to someone else who fixed the brakes, rotors, and the tire they broke for $300.

Needed tires for my truck got right in got my tires and the ones I I got look better than the ones that came on it, and everyone there were friendly and kind my next set will come from them too, I could not be happier with my purchase. 🙂👍

Had to take my truck in for an alignment. Was quoted a price when I dropped it off but the next morning I received a call that initially they thought it was a 1500 and when they realized it was a 2500 the price increased by $20. They did call to get permission before proceeding. Overall they did a good job. The price is higher then I’ve paid at other places by a decent amount and that might be a deterrent from going back but that’ll be a game time decision. If there price was a little lower they would’ve gotten 5 stars but I have to knock one off for the value you get for the work performed.

I was told the sensor would take an hour I was there 2. I was told my parts would be there at 7 . They put my car on lift and it sat there for an hour before I was told wrong part the right one will be here in 30 min. So I waited. Finally he put the part on. Did a test drive still no speedometer. He said there are three of them on there so I had a choice spend another 200.86 or leave. He said I could do a check of the system that would tell the bad sensor..for another charge. My question is why didnt we do the check when I got there. They can go make a list of everything that is wrong with car without me asking but they cant mention the test.really not satisfied I think I will go elsewhere. Oh I went to auto zone and picked up the part 25$ and 10 mins later I it was on 200 for taking off one screw and then putting part on and tighten screw. My business is done here.

I really use to enjoy this place but not anymore, Do NOT Recommend! I took my truck in see about what I thought was a vacuum hose issue. They called me back and told me they could not recreate the issue but said the gas line had a leak. O course I told them to fix that as that would be an extreme issue. Show up next day and they said they fixed an emissions leak, all the guy in the office said was sorry I saw leak and ASSUMED it meant a gas line. 200 dollars later. Additionally they had to remove my gas tank and ever since I can not fill my tank without stopping ever few secs because the gas overflows.

Alright listen. I hate taking my car to get the oil changed because I’m always scared they’ll find something wrong. I’m a year three college student. I’ll let you paint that picture when it comes to finances and the stress of taking a car to get looked at.I’m new to town and needed my oil changed pretty badly. A lot of places in town have mixed reviews which really made me nervous. Then I found this place. Pretty much all good reviews and rightfully so.I know absolutely nothing about my car which makes it very easy for mechanics to take advantage of me and up charge me for things and services I don’t need right away.They don’t do that here. They won’t trick you or make you get something you don’t absolutely need. They give a very detailed explanation of what’s going on with your car (in my case the engine filter needed replaced, oil needed changed, I have a leak, and some other fluid was in need of changing). Pictures are taken so they can show you exactly what they’re talking about and explain the timeline at which it should be fixed and how problematic it is.Price is just about the same as anyone else but the service is wayyyyy better here than any other place I’ve been in any city I’ve ever lived in.Parents: Send your college kids/teens here if they have something that is needing fixed. They won’t take advantage of the lack of knowledge many have surrounding cars.

Battery was replaced and a complete survey was performed for the status of various key maintenance issues.

Great place, convenient hours, open on Saturdays and they are able to do their own front end alignments in house, huge plus for me. Ive bought less expensive tires elsewhere in the past but never got the full mileage out of them because my alignment was off and the other places either didnt tell me or couldnt fix it at the time I had tires installed. Saving a few dollars isnt worth the convenience and confidence of knowing your new set of tires are balanced and aligned when you drive off with them.

Unbelievable when I find out that my son’s truck gets called back in after $1900 repair. Needs a wire replaced. Then, whoops? Breaks down and needs two hoses replaced $750. Challenge this and then am told, after $425 tow bill, we will do it for $450. Hoses cost $50 each. Talked to Tad an and was told “We made it this far without you”. Will see him in small claims court

I use Kennedy for repairs and oil changes on all 3 of my vehicles. Repairs are usually done in a day or two and they have made some serious repairs and made me aware that some repairs i expected would be more serious, were just a simple repair. Drop offs and pick ups are always quick and friendly.

I LOVE Kennedy Tire and Auto. Trustworthy, honest and ethical! Not only are they top notch and CHRIS IS the BEST.... I get to relax and listen to their Christian radio station playing. What a great experience!!

Excellent customer service! I needed a new belt and they had me all set in less than an hour of me walking in. the price I paid was even less than originally quoted. highly recommend them.

They looked at my hondas ac to diagnose the problem, told me it was low on freon and It would cost $370. I came, I paid, and then they told me it was something else and would cost $3500. I left and noticed that my skid plate wasn’t bolted down correctly and metal parts were sticking out of it. We live across the street and there was no way we damaged it. On top of that, it seemed like an easy fix, and I just wanted them to look at it and fix it. I was already irritated with them. Bert, or Burt however he spells it, does little investigating, laughs on the phone and insists they didn’t do it. Every car place that does damages says they didn’t do it so I expected as much. Didn’t expect him to laugh on the phone about it. At least be kind to your customer.. The rest of the staff was pretty nice, one bad employee can make the whole business look bad.

They were able to take me as a last minute tow in and were able to service my car the same day. Loved meeting Chris (service tech) and Alyssa (receptionist)! I just moved here from a small Arkansas town and Kennedys made me feel like I was dealing with my hometown auto shop. Exactly what I was looking for. I like knowing I can call if I need to with questions or concerns.

I had plans to purchase a set of new tires from another company when I brought my car in for an alignment. They did a great job on the alignment and offered me four new (and slightly better) tires at a lower price, put them on as soon as they got them from the warehouse and saved me some time and money. I noticed that they took the time to actually balance my tires with well-placed weights (many places don’t even bother with a small coupe like mine.)

Update: After my mom wrote a review, Kennedy contacted her to have my car brought back in. We obliged because we had already spent the money previously. Upon returning my vehicle, it was found that it was my turbo that was still having issues (which is what I had told them previously). They kept my vehicle for another week (due to random circumstances ot of their hands, i.e: wrong parts sent, gaskets not sent with parts, etc.). So they fixed the issue that should have been addressed months ago under the warranty. Jon was very polite and informative in the process which is the only reason they got 4 stars from the original 1.Original Post:Dear Kennedy and future customers,My mother is Laurie and she took it upon herself to write a review because I am a disabled veteran and my car has still been giving me complications since coming to your shop. I brought it in and informed your place of business the turbos were smoking. Your team inspected and agreed they needed replaced along with 2 O2 sensors.After getting my vehicle back, my check engine light came on. I brought it back and your team told me it was the catalytic converter, but misspoke and called it a Cadillac converter and quoted a high price and I just paid over $3000 for the turbos. So I took it to a catalytic shop and they tested it and said the check engine was more than likely a faulty O2, because the cats were running fine. But they pointed out my turbo, right above my cat, was leaking right onto my cat which was causing smoke probably causing the O2 sensor to fault.I took it back to your shop (3rd time now) and had my ex husband asked you all to torque it back down since it appeared it wasnt done properly the first time. (It is still leaking btw). After it was done, I asked why it wasnt done the first time or even looked at the 2nd time. I was then informed a complete inspection was never done since when I came in, I told you all my turbos were more than likely the problem. The second time I came in it wasnt done either, nor the third.I asked why, after spending so much, a complete inspection wasnt done. Your mechanic got rude. He said a lot of things were wrong with my vehicle. I told him my check engine light only recently came on after being in your shop prior to the turbos. Besides the turbos I havent had any issues. He replied that my car has tons of oil leaks (which seems to be a common thing said when your mechanics are upset or confronted in any manner according to the 1-3 star reviews). When I asked where, he said he didnt know. He said he would have to take my cover off to find them. Now, I know Im disabled, but Im also a mechanic and I would never tell someone they have oil leaks that I havent physically verified, so I have no idea how Tad could tell me I have multiple oil leaks when he hasnt actually seen them, and it wasnt on any of my paperwork either (which looking at the other replies, you will more than likely divulge my vehicle and all details).So your reply to my mother that it doesnt sound like your team, it was in fact your team. I have been there 3 times. I have left my vehicle with your team 3 times. I have been yelled at by your mechanic in your lobby because I questioned why I had to come 3 times and why I had to have my ex husband help because no one wanted to listen to me (a female). Btw, I dont yell either. I quietly walked away, you can pull up my name, my last time I was there and check your cameras to verify.

Today is the second time I’ve been in for tire needs in the past couple months. Both times I came in very near to closing time and both times was squeezed in last minute. They are consistently doing quality work at a great price. Top tire shop in Edmond by far. Thanks guys!

Kind and helpful

My wife and I have been bringing our cars here for the last 5 years or so and weve been pleased with the service weve received. Ive left a 5 star review before but my experience yesterday has me thinking twice about continuing to come here. I was less than impressed with my interaction with Mark when I dropped my car off first thing in the morning. It was my first time dealing with him so maybe he was off to a rough start that day but I would reconsider having him be the face of my business dealing with customers. I wasnt able to pick up my car until after they were closed. Imagine my surprise when I opened my door to find my center console left filthy (picture attached). I also quickly noticed my steering wheel felt oily or greasy. My car is not immaculate but it certainly wasnt that way when I dropped it off in the morning. And finally, while I was driving home, I noticed how they left the reminder stickers (yes, plural, picture attached) on my windshield. As small as it is, and as silly as it seems to mention it, it strikes me as lazy at best to leave the old sticker...I really wonder how they even did that because thats not how the old sticker was even on there originally. Between that and how they left the interior of my car, it makes me wonder if other shortcuts were taken while they were working on my car. Weve been happy coming here for the 5 years weve lived in Edmond. But, if this is a sign of what they consider acceptable now, Ill happily take my business elsewhere.

Be warned...this shop will charge you a diagnostic fee even if you have the work done. They argue that you dont go to a doctor to find out why your sick and not pay him. Fine, but theres a big difference...a doctor doesnt have a device that hooks up to a computer inside me to tell him whats not mechanically working. If I had chosen to not have them do the work, then by all means, a diagnostic fee would be appropriate, otherwise, that time figuring out the problem is their cost for getting my business. We will not be returning.UPDATE- In response to your response to this review...That is a bald faced lie. I NEVER gave approval for a 30-dollar diagnostic fee. But I guess that lying is part of your game since during the conversation over the fee you also called my wife a liar...in front of the one customer that was in the waiting room. We wont even get into the condescending manner my wife was treated on an earlier visit. Most guide books on labor costs already have the diagnostic time built into the fees recommended. And by the way, Declaration Video DOES offer discounts to our clients on a regular basis. And we would NEVER DREAM of charging a potential client a fee for a quote.
