I had to fire my old mechanic The Car Doctor. It was an endless sea of excuses for failures, all while taking my money. Sheer fixed in one settings what I couldnt get fixed twice with The Car Doctor. When he asked me to come down a 3rd time I took it to Sheer Automotive. Glad I did. There is just no BS or excuses with this place. Thanks Sheer. Ill be back but hopefully not soon :)

Excellent automotive shop with experienced techs. My 96 Oldsmobile stopped blowing cold AC. I took it by Scheer Automotive and dropped it off with Tyler. After a few days he let me know that my Olds needed a new AC manifold and hoses. He quoted me a reasonable fee to R/R the AC manifold and hoses and charge the system. Ultimately, it took less than a week and now my AC blows frigid. Definitely bring your vehicle here for work. Just make sure you call ahead and get a slot because theyre busy.

This place is amazing. They were a referral and I thought I had a leaking AC compressor and was estimating $1K in repairs. To my surprise it was just a couple of gaskets and less than $100! They were honest and fast, Ill use them from now on!

Staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Had tires mounted and balanced, as well as a 4wheel alignment. Overall cost was cheaper than just the tire mounting prices at competitive shops. And they had it done quickly on top of that. Will definitely use their services in the future.

I walked in and three guys were sitting there and it took them forever to greet me. They were not interested in earning my business, as they said they were too busy to look at the car. I asked to make an appointment and they said just come by on Thursday (it’s Monday). Shop interior was old and dark. Took my money elsewhere.

I use them almost every time I have a car issue. They do good work. Theyre also pretty quick and have a nice shop and also a comfortable waiting room. The only thing I ended up taking elsewhere was transmission work (Broadway Transmissions in Edmond: I highly recommend them). Anyway, my workplace was established up here near Scheer about 15 years ago, and ever since, our mechanics have been sending things over to Scheer, and they have been remarkably honest the whole time. So I can confidently use them and confidently recommend them.

We were impressed with both the service and honesty. Made appointment convinced the car needed shocks/struts and was pleasantly surprised when they determined it was a much less expensive fix. Employees were extremely nice and professional. Highly recommend!

I live in Norman but came up to Edmond to see about purchasing a used car. Thus, I took that car to be inspected by Scheer Automotive. And let me tell you it was a wonderful experience. Everything about the place was very clean, friendly, and professional. If I lived in Edmond, this would be where I would take my car all the time!

Bad experience, Have used them in the past for things I can’t do myself and they do good work. Called last week for Daughters car to get 2 tires mounted and an alignment. Was told to be there Monday morning at 7:45am. Upon arriving at 7:45(as instructed), a Man pulled up and started unlocking the door and rolling his eyes at us; guess he didn’t want to render customer service that early or didn’t like where I parked to drop car off. I told him I would move right away. Told him I had called for an appointment and was told to be there before 8am. He checked us in and we left. I called 5 hours later and was told, “someone here has the keys in their hand so we’ll holler at you”. At 6 hours, we loaded up and went down there. I looked in the shop and saw the car inside but no work had yet been performed. I went to the desk and was told they were writing up an estimate for the idler pulley and I said I would do that and had noticed it when I changed the sepentine belt and he said “ok; we’ll get started” and went out in the shop. When he came back I asked if nothing had been done yet and my daughter had work at 5pm so needed to leave for Norman by 3:30(almost 8 hours). I reiterated I had scheduled an appointment and he then said “we’ll get you in now”. At 330; was told they could not do the alignment because this car requires an alignment bolt kit. I asked if the computer doesn’t identify models that require a bolt kit and got informed how they work on hundreds of cars; all different models. I asked why that It took 8 hours to change 2 tires and discover the car needed a kit for aligment and was showed keys where people had dropped off cars the night before and still not fixed? Guess that was supposed to explain? I paid bill for mounting 2 tires(15 minute job) and left sorry that I had my daughter drive all the way out here from Norman because I said these people will treat us right. I really felt like a chump and was treated like one. Scheer Automotive has become Fat; Dumb, and Happy with success and no longer cares about your family, or at least, they certainly don’t care about mine. I did 2 stars instead of 1 because they can do good work, there’s problems at the front counter and at the top. There’s an attitude there that didn’t used to be there. Alignment and 2 tires at Hibdon is 1-1/2 -2 hours tops. Don’t bother asking for an appointment, it means nothing. I know and utilize many of the businesess on Waterloo; everything from Metal Store, Waterloo Quick Lube, Little Knights, and IB’s. I go out of my way sometimes paying a bit more to support them. I won’t make that mistake with Sheer again. There are many great reviews here for Scheer and I hope your experience there is a good one unlike my Family.
