I brought a used engine for my Kia I was sold an engine that wasn’t any good and a 6 month warranty that they didn’t honor, the blonde heady lady works up front is rude and blame me for the car running hot and a window that wasn’t fixed. I was RIPPED OFF &3,000. I spoke with the owner Monty but he is so greedy for money he wouldn’t consider honoring the warranty or giving me back some of my money, I wouldn’t recommend this company, they are liars!

Family owned fair pricing. They have a mechanic on staff who is excellent, but you need to schedule an appointment because hes so good hes behind 3 weeks. Excellent mechanic, friendly, family owned..... What more could you ask for?

Called for a couple of used parts and they were able to get what I needed in a reasonable time frame for a reasonable price. Alphea ( sorry if I didnt spell it right) , Monty were both very busy but very helpful as well as the other gentlemen who work there. Absolutely satisfied with my purchases and I will say that being patient till they can get to you will benefit you. Great resource for used parts in this area. The engine and the wheel both worked out perfectly. Thank you again!

Would not recommend. Supposed to have gotten me parts and off a car and there was no motivation to do so. I repeatedly checked in and Gene would come up with some excuse. eventually he began leaving me unread so I called him out on it. then he got very aggressive about the situation. Very poorly ran business if you want to keep customers you need to respect their time and get them the parts you say you will.

They were willing to inconvenience themselves, in order to get me my part same day. Thanks Guys for your speedy response.....I got that emergency call, back on road that nite!😅

We have always had a great experience with the Montys team. All the work we have had done was backed by a guarantee. Fair pricing and great business ethics is why choose not to go anywhere else for parts and service.

They were supposed to replace my driver window regulator and returned it to me with the window not rolling all the way up. Knowing this they left my car parked outside during the heavy rains and I had standing water in my floor boards. Ruined my carpets. They would have never returned a car to a man in this shape. They obviously dont give a dam about taking advantage of women. And did nothing to help me get the water out of my car!

I see a lot of reviews that are not good but I think a lot of people just like to complain. These people were very courteous and really worked hard to make my auto repair as painless as possible. They towed my car, had the parts, put them in and all less expensive than the shop I have been using. My Dad even said it was a good deal. Make these people your first call when you need service and parts.

I liked to think people were better than this.I was sold a $750 bumper that was advertised to fit a 1st generation super duty. And it was pictured on a super duty in the ad. When I got to Montys it was already off the truck so I didnt get to see how it fit on the truck in person. I got it back to my shop to install it I came to find out it bolted up.. but the bumper itself was not the correct shape for my truck, as it left gaps under my headlights big enough to stick your hand through. But because of the way the pictures were taken and the color of the truck, it wasnt noticeable in pictures. When I contacted the person I arranged the purchase thru to try and return it I was told no thanks and than if I didnt want the bumper I should just sell it myself.This is a crooked business just looking to make a buck and move to the next customer without taking care of the existing ones.Dont waste your money here.. buy from retailers that stand by their name.By last attempt I was blocked by the owner.

Owner is a very nice man and easy to work with. They can get you anything that you need and instead of having to pick and pull yourself he has employees of his own to do that for you. Good experience altogether. Got me some good cheap parts out of the deal too.

Need door handles at the time. Had guy go to yard to look when in reality the handles needed was on the counter, the entire time and my mechanic pointed it out or we would have had a prolonged visit waiting. The price was affordable and great customer service.

To be honest I read the reviews before even calling Montys and I was scared and made my husband go in because I was worried about being upset about the service. My battery went dead in my car and I needed a new one desperately... most parts stores wanted $150 and I just didnt have that..... I called Montys and the gentleman I spoke with was polite and said they sold new batteries for $60 plus tax and core. I was thrilled but again skeptical.... I sent my husband there to get the new battery and he said that the gentleman he dealt with was so nice and helpful he was expecting something much different since the reviews were so bad.... I just wanted to let people know that sometimes the reviews arent always correct

I wasnt overly pleased with this place either. Must have been the same rude woman that I spoke to in person. I was looking for a hubcap for a Camry. Simple right? No. She asked for the VIN in order to see if they had one for my car. Really? Its not super science to know whether or not they have a 92-94 Toyota Camry in the lot that may or may not have any hubcaps on it. She insisted on having the VIN just to look it up. I didnt have that car with me so I left and went right over to Dixie Auto about 2 miles away and got what I needed without hassle. Thanks but no thanks Montys...

I would not give this business my money unless they had my part already off the vehicle.Paid for 2 parts they said they had and waited over a week to get.Should of said supposedly get because they didnt even have the parts.Then had to wait over 2 hours for the refund that came in form of a check when I paid cash because they didnt even have enough cash to pay me.Stay away from this place at all costs and read the other reviews that say the same thing.They can say what they want but were all not making this up.Be warned!

Called to confirm they had the part I needed drove for 2 hours to find out they didn’t. Place is a mess. I shop at a lot of nice recyclers this place isn’t one of them.

The lady was quite rude to my bf over the phone over a period of three days. They lied about having the right transmission then tried to force him to take one he didnt want...... Due to her rudeness well never do business with them especially since Adams had the exact transmission we were looking for at a much cheaper price and it was readily available!

The people sold me a transmission full of water and then told me to drain it and put it in anyway! seriously? Do yourself a favor and drive a few extra minutes to somewhere that doesnt store their stuff outside in the rain!! Already wasted one whole day by driving two hours one way and sitting in their office for two more hours waiting for a transmission that was supposed of been sitting on the shelf, when in reality it was sitting outside in the rain and I guess it took him two hours to try to drain the water out of it so I wouldnt see it. Im just going to cut my loss im not wasting another day to bring it back down there when he knows it was full of water. Drain it and put it in! Seriously? That still blows my mind!

The owner son Jean, is creating a hostile business envoriment for customer. He is very mean, and his objective is to take customer cars after its been repaired. My bill never said any thing a storage fees, If was not picked up after repairs the next day. He yells and scream and belittle black clintele. Hes a very unreasonable man of character. He takes advantage of black womens and over charge them for services and parts.

Saw a post on Facebook and asked for the location and contact. I was told to Google the shop wow! I left him know Ill never stop there for anything. If you cant give a number, I cant trust any parts from there! Then I look at the reviews... Welp!

Great customer service but they didnt have the part I needed after I drove about 15 miles to pick it up. They did however order me a new part and I picked it up the next day.

I called Montys looking for a radiator for a 92 ford focus. The lady on the phone was very knowledgeable she seemed to like that i had all my information ready and available , as one should when looking for parts,. She told me that they would have to order it and that it should be ready by the end of the week. After giving her my payment information she told me that she would call when it arrived so that i could come pick it up. to my surprise i got a call the next day saying that she had gotten the part and for me to come get it. once i got there she was the only one answering phones all while trying to take care of the customers in the lobby as well. mean while a man was sitting at the desk next to her on the phone with one personal call the whole time. once she had time to take care of me she was very fast knowing that others were waiting. i have a respect for that lady she was working circles around everyone in there that day and every other day that i have gone to montys that place would fall apart without her

Very poor service, bought a transmission from Gene the owner and it was no good. He tried to tell me there was a procedure when it turned out he gave me a junk transmission. He then said he was going to send me a replacement and I waited 3 weeks with no transmission. I finally decided to take it out and return it to him, but he would not return my money, Beware of this Junkyard they will rip you off.

Good service however know theirs no refunds.

I have been using another mechanic for years who does an outstanding job (in greenville) but due to his rates going up over the years, I decided to try somewhere different - Montys. I had a small oil leak, and wanted them to diagnose where it was coming from, what the problem was, and how much it would be to fix it. After they had the car for about a day, I called them back and was told by the secretary that after having it all day, they did not know what the problem was but said, the mechanic said that its just a small leak and not really worth fixing, just keep an eye on the oil levels and make sure it doesnt get too low. I am very unpleased with this. My other mechanic would never have settles for that but would have found EXACTLY what and why there was a problem.I will say that if you need basic repairs, Montys is the place to go. I have been to them a couple of times for belt replacement etc. and they do a good job at a good price. but on anything major, I would go someplace else!

PAID MONTYS $500 FOR A BAD TRANSMISSION!! THEY KEPT MY $500 AND WERE NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THERE BAD PARTS!!!! OR THE $2000 I HAVE IN THE LABOR FOR 3 TRANSMISSION REMOVAL AND INSTALLS.These Guys are a RIP OFF.. Sold me a transmission, after the transmission was installed it didnt make it a mile down the road before we started having problems out of it.. After calling and expressing the transmission failure, they had no problem bringing me another one and driving there delivery truck into one of my vehicles smashing the driver side door in, they did bring me another door at no cost BUT I DID HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DOOR TO BE INSTALLED AND THERE WAS NO OFFER TO INSTALL THE DOOR THAT THEY WERE AT FAULT FOR!!.. So I removed the First transmission they sent me and had the replacement installed. After driving it for an hour or so the check engine light came on stating the torque convertor was going out.. At this point I have an extensive amount of money in the removal and replacement of not only 1 bad transmission but 2. Called the Manager of the place asking for another replacement or some help paying for the 3rd Replacement and they stated there was nothing they could do for me bc at this point it was out of WARRANTY. SEEING THAT THE PROBLEM WAS NEVER SOLVED WITH THE FIRST TRANSMISSION SALE AND I HAVENT EVEN DRIVIN THE VEHICLE HOW CAN IT BE OUT OF WARRANTY!!!!! so now I am $2000 into this and still do not have a transmission that works.... AND IM HAVING TO HAVE THE INTITIAL TRANSMISSION REBUILT.. COME ON GUYS!!! THAT POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND YOU JUST TOOK MY MONEY.. COST ME MORE MONEY BY RUNNING INTO MY VEHICLE AND RAN... BEYOND UNPRFESSIONAL.
