Heck I dont even know where to start. I will say this; Tommy and his team are probably the most knowledgeable people about older model Fords; as well as many other types of cars than anyone Ive ever witnessedI will put that in context. Ive lived in 43 cities and nine countries. I was married to two auto mechanics; one was domestic, the other foreign cars. Nothing could have prepared me for the advance knowledge that I received on my car when it needed service.Tommy literally took me under the car and gave me a course on everything my car has. There wasnt one thing he did not leave out. He started from the rear end and the axles and frame and ball joints and nuts and coils. Every line and hose and pipe!!! He then took me from back to the front explaining every nuance of my car.I felt like I had gone to Higgins University of Police Interceptor and Crown Victorias. I knew that 4.6 engine was a good one. Until now I didnt know all the things that engine needed to keep it happy. Thanks Tommy and team!! Cameron the young man who serviced my auto couldnt have landed at a better place to learn about vehicles!!!

BEWARE!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would. There advisor Steve never called during the two times my truck was there. The FIRST Diagnosis was not correct and they put parts on my truck that it did not need. Then they said it was something else and then something else. It was $1700 at the end of it. The second visit was a come back for something they did. The mechanic performed work that I DID NOT approve. They replaced brand new fuel lines that were on my truck and never got approval. Then the mechanic lied and said the truck was running rough and that it needed another $1200 of more work done to it. After I just got it out of the shop and paid $1700 for repairs. It should last long than a freaking week!!!Then the owner makes me pay $200 to get my truck out. They kinked a fuel line under the fuel bowl and that is why fuel was pouring out of the bottom. BECAUSE the mechanic screwed up. They were not willing to own the mistake. The advisor and mechanic should be fired. I will never take my truck back to them. This place steals from hard working people.

I have used Higgins for everything from a simple tune up to putting in a New engine in my truck, I work in the commercial construction businessand my truck is how i make a living, They have come in early and stayed late to fix my Truck and never charged me a dime extra, Ive sent friends and family there as well and never had any issues, My mother is 75 years old and they have fixed her car while she waited. First Class shop and first class people, Thank you Tommy and the guys for all you have done for me.... Ronnie

I would like to say I appreciate Higgins trying to royally screw me. They brought my mustang because I had lost oil pressure. They checked it out ( supposedly) ( costing me 380.00) and said it was bearing failure. They wanted to charge 3400 labor plus parts to pull and redo the motor. So not only did they charge me to lie to me they were out to steal money. Not only that 3400 to pull and check a motor. Heck Ray Charles could do it faster than a weeks worth of labor. There was no bearing failure and the only thing wrong with the motor was the oil pump. I know they would of replaced the oil pump and charged me 3400 plus fictitious parts. I will be spreading the work as much as possible. Oh now Tommy Higgins want to say if I dont remove the post he is going to sue for slander. Im sorry the truth is not slander.

These guys at Higgins fixed a bunch of botched work that was performed by other mechanics who had installed my engine incorrectly and turned my car into a death trap. They also fixed my suspension which had been damaged by the aforementioned Jack @sses. Mr. Higgins, Jim and the other mechanics were very approachable and explained things very well throughout the process. When Im ready to install my Super Charger I will definitely bring my mustang back

TLDR: save yourself some time, money and frustration and go somewhere else.Sad to say, this shop used to be great but service and mechanics are not what they used to be. Ive brought my Mustang here for years. I normally take my car in once a year for a complete service and fix up. When dropping the car off I would give them almost carte blanche to fix whatever was needed. During my last visit I was told that a few expensive repairs were needed. I informed them that I had paid to have these repairs performed the previous year. I asked why and what happened. No one was able to give me any type of answer other than a verbal shrug. No one seemed to care that they could not explain why it was not repaired before nor did they want to do anything about it.I asked them to stop any work, paid my bill for work performed and said see ya. Now Im on the hunt for a Mustang mechanic again.

I normally dont like to write negative reviews but I really cannot recommend this shop after my experience. I bought an old 302 Explorer as just an A to B vehicle and unfortunately for me a few weeks later it developed a severe coolant leak. I normally perform all of my own vehicle repairs but due to life and work I decided I didnt have the time and that I needed a REPUTABLE shop to fix it. After asking and reading reviews I decided on Higgins figuring even though they are kinda pricey they should know what they were doing.I had looked at the truck before taking it to them and saw that the coolant was pooling on top of the timing cover in the corners (common 302 issue) and that there was a suspect bolt sticking too far out of the water pump. I informed them of these two items when I took it to them and was prepared to spend $$$ to have it fixed RIGHT. Got a call about 2 hours later saying that they found the problem to be a leaking T-Stat housing and that it would be $260 to repair. Confused why they didnt notice or seem to even acknowledge what I had seen, I chalked up to that Im not a mechanic and so I agreed to the repair.I picked up the truck when the repair was complete and was told they ran the engine and saw that the leak was fixed. On the way home it started to overheat which it had not been doing before I took it to them and was still pouring coolant. I limped it home and by this point I had lost all faith in them and decided to tear into it myself. What I found was appalling for what I had heard was a reputable shop. The thermostat was installed backwards and was so caked with RTV I had to cut it out of the housing to position it correctly. With the housing off I could see the suspect bolt better and saw that it had four washers on it from a previous owners water pump repair (not Higgins or me). You would think if they looked at it at all they would have seen this. After replacing the bolt with the right one. flipping the T-stat and tightening all the water pump bolts I pretty much have the leak stopped and the truck is no longer overheating, no thanks to Higgins, plus Im out an extra $260. I cannot recommend them to anyone at this point .

My husband had his rears upgraded from 273s to a 373 all Ford racing bearings an ratio, an he was told his carrier was bad, sold him one that supposedly had 30,000 miles on it, only to have his 86 mustang with 54,000 original miles on it to now have a very, very BAD roaring and vibration at 60 mph and it gets worse the faster he goes. Tommy Higgins drove his car and told him he bent his output shaft on a T5 Trans. He has talked to many people, weather mechanics or friends an they ALL have said not possible without a major collision. He just got done today putting new axles an bearings in an not a real change on roaring an vibration. He has said many times that his car didnt do the roaring or vibration at high speeds until Higgins Ford Performance rebuilt rearend. I believe they sold him a BAD carrier an took his out to just use on one of his cars or someone elses. Our 86 is pretty original an I know that the carrier was from 86, since the shocks were stamped 1986 Ford. Dont understand why people do others this way, but Higgins did something very wrong to my husbands mustang. He doesnt recommend anyone to go to them and hes really upset that he cant fix the issue. Not a good place to have your car worked on at all!!!! My husband is quite dissatisfied with the work an performance!!!!
