We are 1800 miles from home and encountered a squeal in our brakes. Nothing local for service. Google search brought up Chads in Dickerson, ND. Called and spoke to Chad. He was most accommodating and said to come in at 10 and they would take care of us. We arrived and he immediately took the car into the shop. 30 minutes later we back on the road with his assurance that no damage had been done. A rock had gotten lodged but had ultimately fallen out. Nothing needed to be done!He charged $28.75 to pull the front wheel, checked the brakes and determined everything was good.If u need a reputable car shop, this is it.Thanks Chad!!’

I always have had good luck with Chads. I had switched from getting my work truck serviced at a larger shop and had headaches in the past but Chads has been professional, reliable and helps you check your auto maintenance off your list with ease. The employees are kind and make you feel like family. I will continue to recommend Chads to anyone in the Dickinson area.

I informed them I was having troubles with my transmission. Brought my truck in to be looked at and they told me, it appears you are having transmission problems, that will be $90 I said yes I told you that, are you going to fix it? Oh no we dont do transmission work here. Would have been nice to know that before I brought my truck in for transmission problems.. they have done good work for me before but being charged $90 to get told the same exact thing I told them I was bringing the truck in for seemed absolutely preposterous. Will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.Edit: Not only did they charge me $90 telling me what I suspected, it turns out they were wrong. Took it a to a transmission shop who correctly identified the problem as a bad catalytic converter. The same transmission shop was also able to fix the problem and not waste my time or money like this place, Schmidt transmission is where I would look even if you dont have transmission trouble.

Chads was amazing and super quick. I was quoted $1,500 from a dealership to replace my AC compressor in my car. I brought it into chads to get it replaced and they discovered that the compressor wasn’t even the issue. They saved me over $1,100!!!!! Will never take my car anywhere but chads ever again!!

I was in for a routine oil change but I trust Chad and his crew for all my auto repairs. They are knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Most of all they are trustworthy and honest!

Had a check engine light keep coming on for an emissions problem. Chad did the first service at a very reasonable price and then a few checkups for no cost when the problem persisted. Josh informed me of some other possible issues when he test drove it once. Very informative and upfront with what was going on.

They have always been more than upfront with me pertaining to any situation. A year and a half ago, I told them I needed a new power steering pump. The next day they gave me a bill much smaller than I expected. Chad said all I needed was a new power steering hose! Honesty!

I called Chad last minute inquiring if they would do a pre purchase inspection on a truck I was considering buying. He told me they were pretty busy but they could squeeze me in. I pulled up to the bay, the mechanic drove it in and put it up in the air. They did a thorough inspection and gave me documentation of what they found. I so appreciate the time they took to make me feel confident I was buying a good vehicle! Thanks again!

I really really appreciate how they helped us with short notice. A month ago we were on a road trip and just passing through...we needed to get our fender liner fixed because it was torn and hanging under the car. My fiancé called them and told them what was wrong and they got us in right away. Within an hour we were back on the road. I would highly recommend them if you’re just passing through or even local.

Took my pickup in there to get a broken exhaust mainfold bolt removed and the turbo and mainfold put back together. 6 dayd later they call to tell me manifold and turbo are put back on but thrt wont put the rest back together after explained to them what rgey needs to do to finish it. They refused to finish it. And gave it back not running. Terrible service do not go here especially with a diesel. This was after they said they could do it.

Ive had a couple parts fail that they repaired/replaced. I dont know whether its the car, mechanics, or parts fault. They gladly fixed them both free of charge. Reasonably priced.

Chads is always the best. I wont go anywhere else. I had an appointment for 4 oclock today but I was able to bring it in this morning and they said no problem. It was done by 11:30! Great service!

Took my pickup in to get 4 wheel drive fixed. They said they fixed it i drove it off lot it wasnt fixed, took it back they said other things were wrong with it and it would cause me 2,000 after I already paid 550 for them not even to fix it. I had a different mechanic work on my pickup he said they put parts in wrong and to fast, ruined the part they put in my pickup, and they charged me 550 for a ruined part they new they screwed up on. Also they have a 45 percent mark up on there parts. Do not go here they screwed me over.

Asked them to replace my burnt out low beams and bolt down my drag up tank. They informed me that they couldnt match the bulbs that was in it already and they put the brightest ones they had in it. It burnt out the next day and they put self tapping screws to hold down a 800 pound drag up tank. Then I took it back and told them to bolt it down. They just put bolts in the place of the screws with no nuts. Total cost 151 dollars. Total bs do not and I repeat do not take your vehicle to them.
