This was a phenomenal experience! The whole crew worked together like a well oiled machine. Kent and Mike where 2 of the most awesome dudes, they made sure my son caught a huge fish and gave him a memory he would not forget. I absolutely recomend these guys to everyone, would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks guys, job well done.

I try to go deep sea fishing every time Im in Florida. Destin has some great Snapper fisheries and I was lucky to be on vacation during Snapper season. I chose Pelican Adventures simply because they have great reviews and fair pricing. I went out on a six hour trip and caught my limit of Red Snapper and a bunch of Vermilion Snapper. I caught some other fish too, like Trigger fish, but threw them all back. The booking people were courteous and helpful; the crew were quick to help and did a great job cleaning the fish. My only complaint is the fish were not cleaned until we got back to the dock, which resulted in waiting a couple hours in the hot sun after the trip was over. I am used to the crews cleaning the fish on the ride back to the docks. Highly recommend Pelican Adventures for deep sea fishing!

We absolutely love deep sea finishing with Pelican Adventures. The staff, Captain, and crew are all so helpful and they make each trip out to the Gulf with them such a memorable experience.

The crew was accommodating, informative on how to use the fishing poles and how to properly bait the hooks. The Captain was able to put us on the fish in multiple areas. The boat ride was excellent and relaxing. MIKE THE DECK HAD WAS ON IT!! GREAT JOB MIKE!! I would recommend Pelican Avengers and to boot the PRICE WAS EXCELLENT. Thanks everyone for a great time I look forward to head back to DESTIN.😁😁😁

Amazing amazing trip. Cannot speak highly enough of the people on this boat, the deckhands were all amazing at their jobs and truly made me feel like I was just fishing with a couple friends. We caught our fill of fish, and even got to fight a shark that got hooked (thanks for the help Mike). In the aspect if a charter this will be my go to they did amazing at filleting our fish and were quick and thorough. Thanks johnny, mike, and Dillon, you made my Florida trip great!!

Don’t waste your time and money with this party boat! It may have been good in the past but not now. My sons and I went out on the Vera Marie and hardly anyone caught any fish . The captain, a fairly young guy who frequently chewed out the deckhands via the pa system, would move the boat all around in different directions while people were trying to fish resulting in a lot of people being tangled up often. Also in one spot where we were finally catching some fish he quickly blew the horn so that we couldn’t stay there long enough to catch many. This boat and it’s captain is a joke! We were very disappointed to say the least! If I could give it negative stars I would!!

It was awesome! Everyone on board was very helpful and taught us a lot! This is to no fault to the crew but my wife was sick the entire time. Other than that, it was the best experience !!We returned to the condo and cooked the fresh red snapper. It was delicious! Overall a fun interesting experience!

Had an excellent trip! Mike aka the fish whisperer was a huge help to my nephew. All the other staff was great as well. Captain did a good job getting us on fish. This wasnt our first time aboard Vera Marie and wont be our last. If you have never been deep sea fishing I recommend taking something to prevent sea sickness.

Our family had a great time. Loved the hospitality of the crew. Kent, Mike and Dillon helped us while fishing and were great to talk to on our way back. The sun deck was great at sunset!

Had the best time! The crew was great especially Mike one of the deck hands. Mainly fished one spot all day and caught a ton of fish. I would definitely recommend this boat and crew to anyone and look forward to fishing with them again.

We caught so many fish that the crew was constantly running around. Even though they were exhausted by the end they still had an upbeat chipper attitude. Fully recommend for small or large groups!

What a great crew from top to bottom . We did a field trip with these guys and they were top notch . Hands down the best deep sea trip I’ve been on yet . They took us to a bunch of food fishing holes and even helped me reel in an 8FT shark. Would recommend throughly mike was a great help to me and my family and always answered any questions we had .

0ne and a half hours in very rough seas on the way out. Half the boat was sick.I had no chance to fish because I am a senior citizen and could not stand up. My two grandsons were able to fish and everything they caught had to be thrown back because of size. One snapper was less than a quarter inch too short.Crew was extremely nice. After arriving at 5:00 am and a too long trip out -we had nothing to show for the trip.

This was an amazing experience and my family loved it.. the whole crew was amazing and really helped make our trip one that we will never forget. If you have a family do this trip!!!! We will be back!!

We went out Memorial Day weekend had a great time. Mike and Dylan were wonderful. Helpful with the kids and friendly.

2019 This boat canceled my trip the night before,said there was engine trouble. TODAY 7/15/21 we rode out 2 hrs 6-8 am , had our poles baited hanging over the water, captain says NO FISHING TODAY, pack it up we are going back there is trouble with the boat. In spite of the good reviews I looked at, I would not recommend this boat for the two incedents above, (even though I got full refunds). The First mate and crew were extremely accommodating and friendly 😀, BUT did not have captain make any good will gesture/apology/or explanation, highly disappointing. It gave tha appearance that the captains back up plans were weak.

Our family of 8 went on a deep sea fishing trip with Pelican and it was amazing! So fun and lots of memories!

Our fishing trip on Vera Marie was absolutely amazing. The crew went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and also very informative. We will definitely be back. Jordan and Dakota made this trip the best fishing trip we’ve ever had to date!!! The captain was hilarious as well. I highly recommend this charter to everyone.

6.6.18 Great day with Capt David & crew! Plenty of action ( I hooked and released a 200+ lb Dusky Shark that was a lot of fun) and good catch including this 24+ lb Red Snapper! Wish I could say I caught it but I was standing next to the lucky angler. Also, NEVER GIVE UP.....this fish was the last fish caught at the last stop of the trip!Vera Marie is a great boat. This was my second trip and already looking forward to next time.

Had a good day of fishing. Met another fisherman on vacation and had great conversation while fishing. The cooler is our combined catch. First Mate Steve and the crew we had were all great. Will take a trip with them again when I return to the Destin area.

Loved it!! The crew was so patient and nice my fishing experience couldnt have been any better. The other people on the boat were really friendly. I was by myself however never felt alone as someone was always talking to me.

Waste of trip!! The crew was very helpful. It was opening week of Red Snapper season and only seen 1 or 2 people catch a red snapper. We spent the whole trip untangling lines and some people left without catching anything. Save your money and spend the $200 dollars were its useful book private!!

This was an amazing and fanatic trip. Wow. We decided to do this trip as a family event. Well worth it!It takes a little bit to get to the fishing spot, but the boat ride is beautiful. You get plenty of time fishing once you get there. They move around quite a bit too too ensure everyone heres a chance to Getty some fish.The crew was wonderful. They were patient and super helpful. When we got back to the dock, they offered recommendations for cooking the fish, allowed us to take a bunch of photos. Just very friendly.We will be doing another one of these with this crew. Just awesome!!!

Priced well, but way to crowded. Spent to much fishing untangling lines. The equipment was good. The guys on the both were friendly and did okay. Eric and the captain took the time to talk about the boat and experiences. They gave Free hotdogs and sold beverages and other food items. Most fish caught has to be thrown back, too small. Caught a beautiful trigger fish. Of course the seasoned ended the previous week and I had to throw it back. Would have received four stars if the fishing experience was better.

I went the day before Thanksgiving and it was truly one of the most enjoyable/memorable things I’ve ever done. The crew was fabulous and the captain took us to some great spots. Lots of families were on board and everyone seemed to have a good time. We caught a lot of fish. There were a few we had to toss back in since they weren’t in season, but it was all in all a great trip and I will be back. Our lines also did get tangled up a few times, but the crew did a good job of getting it cleared up or getting us new lines.

While out on the Vera Marie, you have a comfortable ride and great fishing. The crew works hard to make the trip a great experience. It is large enough that you can enjoy it even if there are a lot of people on it.If you have never tried deep sea fishing before, I suggest you use the Vera Marie or any one of the others that is run by Pelican Adventures. Great Trip! Wife and I fished on the Vera Marie Wed Oct 17th, 6-7 hr trip. Boat was full but it didn’t matter. EVERYONE caught fish. Crew was right there every time someone yelled Fish On! It was non-stop action. Crew was great and patient with other folks that were beginner fisherman...We froze fish and brought 4 bags of frozen fillets home with us. Thanks Mike! We will fish on the Vera Marie next time we’re in Destin. Again, Great Trip and Excellent Value!

It was great, the crew was very organized and have the system down. We caught a lot of fish and they were there to get the fish off and then back to fishing. The captain found the good spots.

Fish were to small and couldnt even fish long before we had to move to another spot. Fishing poles are to close together all you do is get tangled up

The captain was definitely on top of his game. one thing sucked......we couldnt troll on the way out ,ont or the way in because some other moron complained that it cut into thier fishing time on a prior trip. I guess if you dont want the chance to see a high speed fish, or something bigger get caught, then be winey, other than that.......... TROLL ON CAPTAIN!

Staff was less then helpful. Boat was too crowded. Spent most of the time detangling lines. Captain unable to locate good spot to fish and kept moving every time he stopped at a place as soon as someone would catch something.

We had a awesome experience parasailing with Dave and Braiden! This was our first time! And it was awesome! Highly recommend booking with them! Definitely will be booking again next year!

Way too many people on the boat and not enough help to go around.

I was very disappointed in the party boat trip on the Vera Marie. The crew was solid but they put us on small Mingos all day. We caught several 10 fish with very small fillets. They could have told us that Red Snapper fishing started the next day. I would have booked it for the next day.
