3rd time that We have chartered with Captain Troy and Suzanne. Fantastic fast and comfortable boat and a great fishing experience. Nate (Deckhand) had his hands full with the fish haul and did an awesome job. Going to continue to charter with Captain Troy and the Reel Chill. Very fun and rewarding experience. Looking forward toward a 2 day overnight to the oil rigs in October!

Excellent day on the water. They were very professional, made the experience kid friendly, and created a memorable day for our family. I would highly recommend them for a Charter experience.... especially if you are taking kids a long.

If I could give them a negative 5 stars I would. My family travelled 5-6 hours to fish off shore. This trip had been booked weeks in advance, so all 3 kids could go. After arriving in Destin and meeting the boat captain, he seemed hesitant about the weather, but didnt cancel at the time. When we got in the hotel for the night, we received a cancellation notice FOR THE NEXT DAY blaming the weather. The kids were so disappointed. We called everyone we could to find another boat, but everyone was booked, even for bay fishing. When we mentioned the reason for the cancellation to other charters, they were surprised because the weather was fine, especially for such a large boat. We did watch other boats come in that afternoon and night with a lot of fish, so I know the weather was fine. We had to return the next day, because we had to get back to work. I would not recommend chartering from this group unless you live there and dont mind getting cancelled last minute. By the way, we were there all day, and the weather was beautiful. We ONLY went to Destin to fish, so my kids missed out on that experience. At least they could enjoy the beautiful weather!

Could not have been better! Troy, Suzanne and Nate were a dream team. They were so kind, considerate and fun! We brought 2 young children and the crew made sure the kids had a blast. My 3 year old took a nap in Captain Troys lap at the helm. The boat was nice, comfortable, clean and spacious. We were blown away at the quantity and variety of fish we caught. We will definitely be back and will be recommending this boat and crew!

Me and my husband have fished with Captain Troy twice now and Id say we certainly owe loyalty to him. He is super nice and very knowledgeable. Same to be said about his deckhand, Marcus! The boat, Reel Chill, is very spacious and always clean. My first time deep sea fishing was October 2019 and I wasnt familiar with how it would all go. Both Troy and Marcus made me feel so assured and safe and welcomed. I just dont think I could have done it on any other charter boat. The price you pay is so worth it. You will have the time of your life!

I suffer from motion sickness, and was scared to book a charter. Captain Birchfield assured me that with the new Sea Keeper installed on the boat, I wouldn’t have anything to worry about. I booked a charter and NOT ONCE did I feel sickly. I was able to focus on all the amazing fish we were catching. In addition, it was super nice to have a clean restroom to use. The deckhand was amazing and very knowledgeable.I’m super excited and will be booking with Reel Chill again very soon!
