Not a bad deal if a little Florida rain doesnt cause them to try and scam you.We booked through Destin Water Funs Fort Walton Beach location while visiting Panama City Beach because after researching pontoon rentals for Crab Island, this place was the best bang for your buck ($321 for 4 hrs). Loading the boat was easy with no issues but once in the water the world ended. We were warned while signing paperwork that there was a storm coming but nothing to worry about. We arrived at Crab Island and got in the water. 30 minutes after arriving the storm began in the distance. Our phone rang and we were called back, but no one heard it. Why would we be called back for a storm that was nothing to worry about? It was when the rain started to come down that we decided to head back an hour early. Once at the dock we were greeted by angry college students telling us you could have DIED!. We disembark soaking wet from the rain and are told that its going to cost us an additional $200 since we were one hour late [from their call], but if we pay cash theyll drop it to $100. We gave them the card and suddenly their card reader wasnt working. They settled for the $20 tip we were going to give them anyway and we left.

This was such a memorable place. I had so much fun and never felt pressured. The driver and helper were nice. I would totally recommend. It was a lot cheaper than other places and we got the best for our buck.

Took a pontoon boat out for the day. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Lots of space to pack up for a great day on Crab Island

The Harbor Blvd location was awful. They were so rude. We were there two hours early and was asked to leave and come back closer to time. We came back 45 minutes early per instructions from the confirmation text and they wouldnt let us go out. The manager was incredibly rude as well as some of the male staff which she was quick to point out they didnt know what they were doing. Finally the one nice person hooked us up at the other location where they were AMAZING. I was shocked at the difference between the two location. If you book please go to the Calhoun Ave location.

Hard to find as the have no sign with this name displayed but Google got us there. Jet skis were a bit junky but the pontoon was very nice.

We had an amazing time on the boat! Minus having to coming back in due to a huge thunderstorm. The company did a great job and called us to come back in because it wasnt safe! Thanks guys for the awesome experience will be coming back!

Actually went there to rent a boat. Very helpful and honest management. He could have rented us a boat but due to the windy weather advised us to maybe rethink it. There were other locations renting boats but we really appreciated his straight forward and honest approach.

Had a great time renting jet skis here. Great service and very friendly. Another place was closing early bc of the weather but the weathers perfect. And another place wanted to charge a $500 deposit on each jet ski (4). This place only needed a $500 deposit for the whole group and got us on the water quick and with little hassle. Lots of fun!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful! We had some issues with our booking window that the woman with the curly hair at the check-in desk was kind enough to straighten out for us so we were guaranteed to get our full time. The instructors were very informative and relaxed. We had a great time in the bay!

We rented four jet skis just for an hour to try it out. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we had a blast scooting around, once we got out past the bridge and the no wake signs.

The staff that helped us out with our jet skis were funny, cool, and explained everything precisely and quickly. The jet skis were super fun and went very fast. I definitely would recommend them to everyone!

My husband and I rented jet skis yesterday for two hours, from 3-5p.m. We paid and reserved our jet skis earlier in the week and arrived 40min ahead of our scheduled trip. We waited in line three different times, to check-in, pay and get our life jackets, until we were finally directed to go to the guy who had the jet skis waiting for us. My husband and I are locals and we were so excited to rent these jet skis to celebrate his birthday, that he had just recently had. My brother and his girlfriend also rented a jet ski, to go out with us. My husband wrote down specifically that we had two hours, from our start time.....by the time the guy with the jet skis got us on the jet ski and said we could go, we were already 20min into our rented time. The guy at the dock kept insisting that I get on a jet ski, where the front bumper was almost completely falling off. I refused and he kept insisting that I ride on it. I finally told him that we were celebrating my husbands birthday and that I would not get on a jet ski, with the bumper falling off. He insisted again. Finally, when I refused for the third time he got a different jet ski for us. He then scratched off what my husband wrote, our start time and told us that we had to be back by 5:00. We paid over $181 for two hours of jet ski time. I understand that it is busy but we still deserved to have our full two hours of time. My husband runs and owns two businesses in Destin and Iam a licensed massage therapist at a Spa in Destin. We refer clients all the time to other local businesses. This was also the first time that we have ever rode jet skis together in our four year relationship. It was a HUGH disappointment! We will definitely recommend our clients to go somewhere else!!!

Me and my friend really enjoyed this. the only thing was the guys on the jet skis making sure everyone goes at the right speed at the beginning yelled at me and my friend and was kind of rude when i accidentally pressed too hard on the gas. it was my first time ever jet skiing and i think he should been nicer about it. but other than that i definitely recommend it

We went as a big group of 7, we all had an absolute blast! This will be a new family vacation tradition for us! The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable as we had multiple first time riders/drivers with us. Everyone felt comfortable and had such a good time! The only thing we would do differently is change the time limit! One hour wasn’t near enough fun time on the ocean for our crew! We will 100% recommend this company to everyone and anyone who visits the area.

Man I love Destin!

We had a mixed experience and won’t return. The young lady at registration and the gentlemen (Myles I believe) couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Equipment was in great shape and was plenty fast. However, the jerk we met way past Crab Island (who said he worked for the company but didn’t get his name) really put a damper on the rental. There’s plenty of places to rent from in Destin and next time we’ll spend out money elsewhere.Here’s my take on what happened: Before we took off we had a quick safety briefing, equipment check and a conversation on no-wake zones. After about a 15 minute idle out and believing we were clear we took off and had a great time running in the open water for a half hour. At idle speed we took a loop around Crab Island and once we were a few hundred yards away and not a single no-wake sign, dock, or vessel nearby we took off. What we didn’t realize is that we hadn’t made it far-enough and were quickly approached by a man on a jet ski yelling for us to stop. After I realized what was happening and let off the throttle he swerved in front of our heading spraying us with a huge wake to the face. While I appreciate his effort to keep my wife, daughter (4 years old) and me out of trouble with the coast guard I didn’t appreciate his disregard for our safety, the shot of water to our faces and a lecture about how his company definitely told us better. I’ll own the fact I wasn’t as familiar with the waters as I should have been but there was absolutely no danger until he decided to intervene, that’s on him and the company.My recommendation, keep a laminated map by the skis and give renters a quick lay of the waters. And, keep jerk-face in the back office where he won’t put others safety in jeopardy.

We rented jet skis from them and everyone was super friendly! Equipment was in very good shape. The people returning the jet skis were running a little late, the guys at the check in were apologizing and was like, “ we will make it right with you!” They never give me the feeling that they wouldn’t, and they did make it right. Will for sure rent from them in the future!

Took my family of four here for our first Destin pontoon trip out to crab island. Checking in was easy. Lady at the desk was great. The gentleman who gave us our boat and instructions was also fantastic.We got some good information from him as to where to go to find shells and how to navigate to crab island. Remember tip these guys!If I had any complaint the boat was pretty beat up. No radio kind of sucked and it fell like it was a beat up rental car. Seats had mold on the tops and the deck was not cleaned well in quite some time. Maybe some of the other boats were nicer?They undock the boat and dock it for you which makes you stress a little less. The boat do have some get up and go the outboard really is well maintained.It made for some good memories. I would go here again hoping the boat had a radio and decent looking deck and seats.I used Tripshock which made it pretty easy to reserve.

This is a must when visiting Destin. The staff was helpful. Its a bit pricey but the entire day was perfect which made it worth the money.

Price is comparable to others in the area. The staff and dock people were so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a blast on our pontoon, wish we would have gotten there earlier and done the 8 hour rental.

The lady at the front desk was super kind. Both dockhands were extremely funny, kind, and knowledgeable. The boat was well-kept and ran well, the whole experience was incredible.

They was horrible. They lied to me and my wife about what time they close. We called and asked about pricing for the jet skies also what time they closed. The lady on the phone said they closed at 6:00pm. But when we got there about 5 oclockpm the lady told us that the jet skies was closed. So we went back to the car and called again. The lady on the phone told us that they closed at 6pm. At this time it was 5:38pm and we need to hurry. My wife and I was very-very upset.

We will not return! We rented Jetskis. The ride out itself was awesome. No complaints about that. However when we returned they claimed to observe severe damage and stated we had caused it. The on duty manager, Zach, said the damage was severe enough that he was going to have to take it out of service and repair it before anyone else could ride it. He went on stating that I must of hit something at a high rate of speed. I told him that is not possible because I had my wife and 3 yr old son riding with me. Common sense would tell you that if that had happened medics would be checking on my 3 yr old or he would at least be scared, screaming and crying. He then stated that someone must have hit me. I then said that if that was the case why would I not tell you that. He insisted that the damage was not there before I left and that the employees check and document any damage everytime they are returned. So it was not possible that an employee missed the damage previously when someone else rented it. He also said that if that damage was there before he would not send anyone on it because it was unsafe and if the coast guard wouldve caught us on it with that damage after they sent us out the coast guard would cite the business for sending us out on an unsafe watercraft. We then looked through pictures others took of us who also rode out with us on a different Jetski. We showed him multiple pictures that showed the Jetski already damaged but he was still adamant that we caused the damage. In the photos you could easily tell we were having a good time with no signs of us ever being in any type of accident. He then also checked the other Jetskis but there was no damage on them that matched the damage on the one I rode. He then told me I was going to have to pay $600 for the damage which I was refusing to pay because I did not cause any damage. So I continued to look through pictures and we found one photo that was taken as soon as we had left. The photo was taken directly in the water pretty much in front of them. In the photo you could see the damage was already there. The photo also had a time stamp that was within minutes of our scheduled time of departure. He then told us that someone on their team must have missed the damage whenever it was last returned at the very end of a ride out. How is that possible if he had said that a high rate of speed collision is the only possible way that type of damage could have been created. The area you leave from and return is a no wake zone. At this point I realized it was a scam in attempt to have me pay $600 extra for damage that was already there. After that I was informed I was not responsible for any damage and left. Like I told him I had no reason to lie and his respone was so that I would not have to pay his reason to lie was an attempt to get more $. Once I left I did contact the Florida Wildlife Conservation Comission to report that they sent us out on a watercraft that was unsafe as he had claimed earlier so that they could make sure the Jetski was pulled out of the water. I definitely recommend that you take photos or a video of anything you rent to avoid issues because their documentation doesnt mean anything.
