Customer service, Kelly and Nancy, did an outstanding job. Clear, professional, frequent communication along the way...until the service was complete. I am in property management.. I submitted a request yesterday to AHS and they assigned Murphys Home Services, I have had trouble in the past with communication with them and I was a little stressed at first knowing they were the ones assigned. I got a call first thing this morning from I believe Crystal.. She was absolutely wonderful.. So nice and so helpful. She completely changed my perspective on the company. I hope I remembered her name correctly.. I cant get over how WONDERFUL and PLEASANT she was was to work with. Thankful for people like her!!!

Water was dripping from an A/C ceiling vent. The technician determined the water originated from a sink drain and went beneath the A/C boot through the vent onto the floor. Turns out it was a plumbing problem. Thank you for the diagnosis.

Unsafe drivers. Witnessed someone last friday run someone off the road by texting and not paying attention. Please train your employees to stay off their phones while driving!!!! Especially with all the tourists and pedestrians around this summer! Its dangerous for everyone else!

Have had a few issues with this company as of late when it comes to warranty and installation. Repair techs have been ok but not the greatest. However the tech I dealt with today was a lot better then the ones I have been getting recently. I think they are just having problems finding good help. If there warranty problems were fixed I would rate higher.

The Murphys team is extremely responsive and cooperative. The techs always arrive on time and are never in a hurry to get to the next appointment. Twice, they told me I didnt need a particular service, saving me a couple hundred dollars. They also went the extra mile to obtain warranty coverage when the manufacturer resisted (>$700). I trust them explicitly and know Ill never pay more than I should. Ive been using them for four years (Two HVAC installs plus a few service calls).

After 4 attempts to fix my A/C from low refrigerant and leaks, each time saying that the job was done, I still had A/C issues and now the unit was whistling. Had a new company come out, they ran a dye through the system to find leaks, something that Murphys never did, and found out that Murphys senior technician had done a terrible job fixing a part on the unit. The brightly colored spots on the pipe in the picture are where the leaks are under a blacklight.

Not sure about the company or how their driver almost killed several people whileDriving from crestview to fort Walton. Cutting people off and screaming at people while riding extremely close behind them to get them to move then when coming into Shalimar the cop radar sitting on the side of the road clocked him at 90 before he continued to drive erratically and running lights. Beyond unprofessional to have somebody working for you that drives like this.

Really did not want to have to write this review, had hoped for a better outcome. After 4 visits over 5 weeks ice maker still not fixed. They replaced the control board and a water level sensor. We had told them initially that the push button on, off clean panel had not been working. That was never replaced... my husband tried to order it after we gave up with Murphys and was told that part was no longer made/available. We feel like Murphys was not being honest and that they should have known that some parts were no longer available. $460 in and we are having to buy a new ice maker...

Murphys has been great to work with. They installed a new heating and a/c unit for us in August 2015. They have returned a couple of times for adjustments. They have always been prompt, courteous and efficient. Cindy in the office has been great. After a nightmare experience with another company, she started immediately when I first spoke with her and got a new unit installed for us very quickly. Mark, the technician, is very knowledgeable and exceptionally courteous. He diagnosed the problem and made adjustments to resolve the issue .He is very professional.

They cost us over $12,000 worth of damages. They were called out by our home warranty due to our ac not cooling properly. They came out 5 different times to fix the problem and never could! After the fifth time they came out, our ac overflowed and destroyed our floors. When they came out to check it then, they said it was due to a lack of maintenance, which is funny since they were called out to do maintenance. They refused to take responsibility, but “graciously” gave us a free valve so it wouldn’t happen again (though we were told not to tell anyone). After that our home warranty sent out a different ac company. They were able to get it working the first time, so not only could Murphy’s not fix our problem, they cause an incredible amount of damage.

I experienced excellent service on an after hours call Saturday afternoon. Mark Sanders came out, was on time, very professional and made sure everything was working properly before he left. Which was great because it was a hot July afternoon. He even called later on in the night just to make sure the house was still cool. Me and my wife will definitely use Murphys service again and if possible request Mark to come out, great service man!!

I was in a bind on July 4 because my AC went out at my vacation rental condo. I have a home warranty company but they couldnt guarantee that the people they dispatched would be out the same day. I had used Murphys in the past since they do after hours and holidays and so I gave them a call. I had good service the first time and though the technician was busy yesterday, he was able to get to the condo and get the AC running temporarily for my guests. My home warranty company allows for reimbursement to me, after I have paid for services, even from a company that I use on my own. So after letting the technician know this, he said to call the office in the morning (Tues. July 5) and give them the information for them to get the approval for the work.I called at 8 am on Tuesday, as soon as they opened, to give them the information and after being told by the lady that answered the phone that they dont deal with home warranties, she put Nancy on the phone. I explained to her the process.......I would pay them in full for the work, but in order for me to be reimbursed they only needed to call the company and get approval to do the work. Nancy was not very friendly and reluctantly agreed to make the call. I called back at 10 am to make sure that everything went smoothly with the home warranty company and she informed me that she had not been able to call because they were very busy.Nancy called me about 1 pm to tell me that the home warranty company had no idea who I was when they gave them my address and did not have anyone by my name with a warranty. I verified the address (remember the tech was out there yesterday (July 4) and my name and they had nothing right but my condo # and the complex it is located at. Of course the home warranty company didnt know who they were talking about, how could they?I called back again at 3:30 pm thinking, surely once I corrected their mistake at 1 pm, that they would call the home warranty company right back since Ive already been at this 5 hours, but nope......she informed me that they had not called them back yet. I asked if they would call today and she said if they had time they would.I have talked to the home warranty company several times today with no hold time at all and never on the phone for more than 10 minutes. They didnt have 10 minutes to help a customer out.Very poor customer service in the office and needless to say, I will never use them again. Nothing bad to say about the tech.

I wish there was a negative star I could give them. They were sent through my home warranty company to fix my air conditioner. They left the wire laying on top of the ground and didn’t bury it. They said they were coming back to bury it and never came back. Called my warranty company to let them know. Murphys said they would bury the wire and planned on bury in ground without running it through pvc pipe When I denied it and wanted it covered they said the warranty didn’t cover burying a wire in the ground as if it was normal business practices for an AC company to leave 20ft of wire laying on top of the ground. They then told the warranty company that they rewired it as a customer courtesy and it would cost $300 to bury the wire. Funny thing is I never asked them to do it because I had no idea what they were doing in the first place. They just lied to the warranty company about a job they never finished. I heard the owner is a decent person, so he probably isn’t even aware of what they left not finished at this job. I wouldn’t recommend them to an enemy.

Great experience. Had condensation around the vents in the ceiling causing a problem. Went into the attic and found standing water that was about to come through the ceiling. Called Murphys and they came out within an hour, determined the problem and promptly repaired the issue keeping me from having further expensive damages to repair. Their technicians were knowledgeable and were clearly trying to offer the least expensive option to get the job done. I appreciated their honesty and prompt attention. I highly recommend them and will use them again when needed. Thanks to all!

Easter Saturday afternoon and of course my condenser goes on the fritz. Called Murphys and they were at my home in 30 minutes. Al was the tech and he figured out what the problem was in less than 5 minutes. Had me up and running in 20. Less than an hour after my call I was back in business. I wont even be late for my dinner plans. Reasonable Price - Great service! Thanks Murphys.

Great service. Ninety degree heat and a/c stops on Saturday afternoon. Came to house early afternoon , needed motor, got motor, came back and finished after 9pm. Cant please everybody, but i am very pleased. Thanks Andy, Chris was awesome

Our refrigerator was making an awful noise. Murphys was able to send a technician by who was on his way to another appointment. He diagnosed the problem and defrosted the unit enough so that we didnt need to listen to that awful noise all weekend. A new timer was installed within a week. Great service at a fair price. Im never going to call anyone else!

The guy that came out to service our AC is a scam artist. We just called to have annual service and he told us our compressor was bad and it wasnt worth it to buy a new one so we really needed to replace the whole unit. We have a 2 ton unit and he said it would be $4800 but hed give us a deal and do it for $4500. That sounded really high to us. So we first called another AC company and they said that was crazy high. That they would charge $3500 for the a 2 ton unit. They said Let us come out and look. They came out and said your unit is fine. You do not need a new compressor. You do not need a new unit. Thats just shameful.

Sucks. Rude and acted as if I was an inconvenience when calling to ask about parts that they ordered...They would have the parts, but fail to call in a timely manner to install said parts that were supposed to repair my fridge. It would take 3-4 days after receiving parts for Murphys Home Services to come out to install the parts and my fridge would continue to stay broken. Needless to say after 4 attempts of fixing the fridge they didnt. Horrible customer service, except Justin. He couldnt fix my fridge but nice enough guy. Any who 6 weeks of no fridge I now have a working one bc AHS got sick of them too and decided to replace the fridge. In their defense they were contracted by a home warranty service, but still does not compensate for lack of understanding and customer service.

My family called for their services when the AC stopped working. I was driving there myself to meet them when I saw first hand the horrible driving and dangerous maneuvers vehicle #20 displayed. The man actually cut me off at an intersection when he had the red light, if I hadnt noticed and braked in time he would have hit me directly. I knew it was the same vehicle when they pulled up to their house, mind you I was right behind him the whole time, so cutting me off did NOT make up for any of the time that he was already late. He did a terrible job diagnosing the problem, took an hour and said he couldnt do anything and was very rude about it when my family tried to ask any questions about why it was unfixable. Lone and behold I get ahold of another company and they instantly fixed it within 10 minutes. When I told him about Murphys they laughed and said some businesses dont have any training, integrity, and only want the money because this is a good area to go into this type of business. I agree. Save your money and go with a better company than Murphys.

Murphys installed 2 brand new Carrier units (heat pumps) 3 yrs ago. Good job. Since then they come 2x a year(Spring/Fall) to maintain them. In between they have to come on an Emergencybasis like 2-3 days after our call to replace capacitors which they blame on lightning prone Florida weather. The reason for the term emergency is to be able to bill an extra $80/call on top of the service call. No they do not come to your house at 1 am. They come during normal office hours and normal weekend shifts. The term emergency is abused a lot.

Out of the four companies I had give estimates Murphys seemed the most honest and upfront about our heating and cooling needs. We replaced two heating and cooling units in 2011. They provided Carrier units at a cost $4000 less than a competition was going to charge us for a lower grade product made by Carrier. Murphys had to take the air handler apart in order to get it through our narrow attic door and they also lifted the outside units above a 4 ft fence. The other company told us we would need to remove the fence panels and hire a company to make a larger hole in the ceiling to put the unit in the attic. This would have added thousands more to their already higher price than Murphys. I have since had them repair a different air conditioning unit that was hit by lightning and they were on time, had the part on the van, and fixed it for a fair price. I highly recommend this company!

AC wasnt cooling at my vacation rental condo and of course it was a weekend. Called Murphys at the recommendation of previous owner. They got out there quickly and I didnt care to pay the $85 emergency fee to keep my renters happy; however, the tech said it was just a dirty filter...took the filter out....said he couldnt fit a new filter in there...so he just laid one on top of the unit and charged me $171. FYI, a dirty filter was not the problem as I have been having issues since then that the tech didnt even bother to check.

My son called me early Saturday morning and said the HVAC was out at the house we had just purchased in Destin. I remembered seeing a Murphy sticker on the side of the unit and gave them a call at 8:00 AM. Their messages aid it was outside business hours and to leave a message and someone would call me in a few minutes. To my surprise i got a call in about 2 minutes. I was told he had 1 stop before me and would be at my house after that. My HVAC was fixed by 1:00 PM. First class service and ill use them again.

Three days to replace ac (condenser) fan motor. Paid $81 dollars extra for after hrs.service call. Tech. found problem Sat. morning. Could have went 15 miles to supply house and got motor, they were open until 12:00. No!!!! No action, no ac until Monday afternoon, only then because I went to supply house and picked up fan motor.If you want your ac repaired in a reasonable time, DO NOT CALL MURPHY HOME SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys are who my landlords insurance called. They have been to my house to repair my a/c 3 times, funny thing, I payed another company to look at it before they got here and was told it needed replacing. so after the 3rd time they come out and it has been a week i am told that I, the resident of the house must first block the hot air coming from the roof, (because they dont do things like that) then and only then, could they consider replacing the outside unit. Done, I blocked it, they replaced it, NOW MY FRICKING HOUSE IS FLOODING BECAUSE THEY BLOCKED THE DRAIN THAT RUNS OUTSIDE. I will now have to replace the flooring in the living room, and maybe the brand new carpet in the hallway. So now after a very large fee...its the 4th of July today....problem solved. I of course DID NOT use Murphys!

Literally just called the 24 hr emergency number. I was called back by the on call technician within 10 minutes. When i wxplained that my AC unit was down bis repky was and you expect someone to come out at 1 am to fix it? I am shocked. Whats the point of 24 hrs if you arent 24 hours? The professionalism of this technician was non existent. If this is any indication of their level of service then i feel bad for the owner. I have since called peaden hvac, the tech will be here within the hour.

Very horrible work came out to my house 12 times to fix my ac unit they said had leak in line running under house man they were wrong ran new line still leaked because that happen home warranty dropped us because to many calls beware
