The service and customer care was amazing, I 100% trust these guys with my car. They are honest, friendly, caring and best of all very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them. They replace the alternator of my Toyota, at a low comparative cost and fast professional service.

Would give them zero stars if I could! Booked an appointment online only to be called back days later (on the day of my appointment no less) to be told they were overbooked and the appointment not available. The gentleman on the phone was nice and I know its not his fault but he even told me this is a frequent issue for them and they have made the company aware and months later nothing has been done about it which I imagine is incredibly annoying for the people that work there as well. Totally unprofessional and will not be giving pep boys my business thats for sure.

Needed to get my rear struts and suspension fixed on my car badly. Was going to go to another auto shop but it wasn’t the best option so was referred to Pep Boys. It really helped that they took Affirm credit so I was able to make payments with no problem. The guys were very knowledgeable, courteous and got it done in great time. My car is driving well so far and if I ever have anymore problems I’ll go here from now on.

I work for a company that has fleet vehicles, and every time I take a van in for service, there’s already another issue with the van after it leaves their shop. PEP BOYS DOES EVERYTHING FOR LESS. LESS QUALITY WORK, MORE MONEY SPENT! Don’t take your vehicles here, if you want poor service

Held onto my truck for 2 weeks without even looking at it. Repeatedly claimed they had no availability but freely admitted they were working on vehicles received much later. Eventually had to have the truck towed to a different garage. In the end I was out the towing cost and they never so much as opened the hood. I understand its a busy location, but Ive worked at repair shops before and NOBODY is THAT busy. Just plain irresponsible.

They were super nice. They got me an Uber so I could get back home since my car had to stay overnight. They were overall very pleasant and easy to work with. I believe the person I worked with was named Rian. They let me know one of the services I had requested wasnt needed. It was awesome that they didnt let me spend money unnecessarily.

They were super helpful and were able to see my vehicle within 10 minutes. Quickly fixed the issue with my car without trying to upsell or push anything extra on me. I greatly appreciate Kevin and Derrick’s help and would recommend this Pep Boys location to anyone who wants fair treatment and great customer service.

Wayyyyy overpriced. These guys wasted to charge me approx 1700 for a tire and wheel replacement. They said the wheel from the dealer to be oem was $1k alone! TOTAL LIES. Maybe for all 4! Trying to pull a fast one one me I dont think so! I had called a dealership before and shopped around different she shops. The cost from both was approx. $200-$250 in their stores and online. I ended up purchasing the needed wheel on my own, got towed to a Big O I like to do business with in Englewood and got the job done for a fraction of the price! With every expense, including the tow and an addition tire, it came out approximately $600. So glad I didnt take pep boys bate.

I used to bring my cars here for repairs for years. During that time I was treated fairly - Ive worked on my own cars for 50 years and know whats fair and what isnt.After a $45 diagnostic test I was presented with an estimate for repairs just shy of a thousand bucks.I declined. Then priced the parts (with shipping). Everything needed came to roughly $170.Its sad to see whats happened to Manny Moe and Jacks shop. Now its nothing but an old fashioned clip joint.

My first encounter was when i got a flat tire and needed to get it fixed same day and as quick as possible. I had my car towed to pep boys and was helped right away. the guy that helped me was great he got my information and what service i needed and i was in and out. Since i was getting a new tire i figured before we got some snow i should just be sure all the tires are new and i needed an alignment bad, also it was time for an oil change. The guy ended up giving me a discount on each service i had done i was nervous about the cost but it wasnt bad for all that was done. My car drives so much better. They are super amazing and attentive and got my car done with in a couple hours. Everything was top notch from the crew that day from getting me in and out so quickly to keeping me informed about everything they did via phone call and made it quick and easy with a link to my phone to pay since i dont get off til after they close. Customer service seems to have gone out the window with a lot of places these days but the customer service is AMAZING there everyone was very pleasant and helpful.

They broke a part on my car said they would replace it. I did them a favor and instead of buying the part for $1200.00 I found the part $600.00 cheaper than from the dealer. Brian @ Pep Boys refused to make it right and compensate me the $100.00 for the labor it costed me to get it installed at a different location. (Do not trust them to work on my car any longer nor should you!) Zero Stars!Corporate will not address the issue and believes that treating customers in this manner is the way to do business. If you take your car to those incompetent wrench turners be prepared to have the work redone so place else. I dont trust them to put air in my tires.

I’ve always had good service here. Staff and mechanics in my experience are very friendly and trustworthy. Last time they walked me back and showed me exactly what was going on with my car so I know they are fixing what needs fixed. They’re always busy but that should be a good sign for an auto shop. Even with an appointment, I generally expect to hang out in their nice waiting area for an hour or so but they have WiFi in the building, a nice TV, comfy chairs, and tables to work on. Location is great. They’re converting the large inside building to be all service parts instead of retail so I imagine that means they won’t have to order parts as much for your car since they’ll be on hand more, which means quicker service as you need it. Great experience all the time.

This Pep Boys location is run very poorly. I really wouldn’t waste your time with them. They always allow you to schedule appointments online, and then they tell you they can’t take you when you show up.... and it will appear pretty quiet. This isn’t a one off, it’s happened multiple times. Their coupons aren’t worth it at all with the lack of service provided. Terrible product/service they provide.

Repair shop specified by warranty. Went in for a nail in the tire. Quoted 778 for 4 new tires. Discount tire fixed the problem for free. Very disappointed in what is suppose to be my home repair shop for my vehicle. Classic scammers.

Worst experience with servicing a car. 6 hr wait for incomplete job, no Valve stem covers and a complete misdiagnosis of the front suspension. They did the alignment with 2 bad ball joints. Needless to say the alignment was no good.

If I could give this place zero stars I would! I bought my 2016 Chrysler 200 here to get checked they told me to replace my spark plugs, my engine coils, and plus they said my car is leaking oil which is bs my car doesn’t leak oil at all. They estimated me $1,100 it cost me $200 to fix my car on my own. I went and bought a code reader for $60.00 it told me everything that was wrong with my car. If I would have trusted these guys I wouldn’t have saved $840. And when I went down there for them to show me the paper work on my car they didn’t want to show me. They told me they would keep my car inside and I drove by and my car was sitting outside for 2 days. Do yourself a favor and don’t trust no car mechanics. Buy yourself a code reader and save yourself you’re hard earned money.

Hey Google, I have never posted a review. However, after changing my own tire that was leaking air from a nail puncture in the pep boys parking lot, it was hard not to. Kevin informed me that they were too busy to patch a tire, as well as too busy to switch out the tire for the spare. An appointment was necessary with availability 9 days out. 10 minutes... Kevin didnt have 10 minutes for a customer. The techs is the shop had time to smoke cigarettes, but not switch out a tire. Thanks Kevin, I appreciate you reminding why I never go to pep boys.

Ive been going here for about 20 years or 4 cars ago. Used to be good, its been getting progressively worse over the past few years. I went today to get new tires. The guy looked and saw what tires I had and suggested some that were only 3 dollars more per tire with a better warranty. When he told me the bill I said I felt like that was twice as much as last time. I had him pull up the old invoice and he showed me what all he added- so he took that all that off. Then I told him my headlight was out. He said it was $261 dollars to replace the bulb. I told him that if the tire was off the headlight compartment was readily accessible. Nope- still the same price. I told him nevermind, he became belligerent and threw my key on a podium different than the one I was standing at. Last time I had the headlight changed it was during an oil change and they only charged me for the bulb. Its close to my house and Ive been going there a long time but I wont be back.EDIT: I went today to BigO Tires. I got 4 tires with a better warranty and cheaper price. It only took an hour, I didnt have to leave the car overnight, and they changed the oil, and wiper blade at the same time. They also replaced the bulb that you wanted to charge me $261 to do. They charged me $25. Im attaching a photo of the invoice for your records. Blatant price gouging.

This place has gone down hill. There use to be friendly helpful knowledgeable guys at the front desk. I was so happy to have a car maintenance place so close to my house where I could walk home and trust the service. Now, they have had a makeover so it looks nicer but the service has plummeted while the prices have increased. After 4 years of being loyal to this shop, I am now in search of a new car maintenance shop.

Terrible service. Was told my car would be done by the end of the day and all they had to do was order the parts. Parts were never ordered and could not do anything to fix the situation. Staff is not friendly and does not know how to work with the public. Will update if anything changes.

I had a horrible experience. Went to Pep Boys to get a car battery for a 2013 BMW X5. They had the right one and said that they could register the battery and do any necessary programming of the new AGM battery. As it turned out, they were unable to program the new battery, so they put the old one back in and told me to take the car to a BMW dealership immediately, because the windshield wipers wouldnt shut off and the turn signals didnt work. The service rep was apologetic, but the store manager, Dwayne Duncan, was rude and didnt seem to care. Neither would help me find somebody to deal with the problem. Their answer was simply to take the car to BMW and leave it until they can get around to fixing it. Ill never go to Pep Boys again, and would give them ZERO stars if I could because they only caused additional problems with my car and didnt fix anything.

I had a flat tire and pep boys let me tow my car there to have it fixed or replaced. When they called me about my car they were very pushy period he insisted on selling me four tires at over $800 total. This seems like a lot to me so I asked him if I needed all four to which you rudely replied that it would be dangerous and not very smart to not replace them. when I asked him why the tires are so expensive he mentioned that he added on $150 alignment fee and another $100 or so for a warranty that I didnt ask for. He snuck these in the price and that is sneaky. I didnt ask him to put my spare on for me, but they didnt have the tool to take it out from under my car so they ended up putting air in the tire and I was able to drive to another shop 2 miles down the road. this other shop was amazing! They said I could replace all four but I really only need to replace two and it ended up costing me $180 to replace two tires. I am very disappointed in how they handle their business here

If I could I would leave zero stars, I recommend going elsewhere. They offer zero flexibility and don’t really care about working with the customer. Plan on leaving your car for hours or all day or they don’t want you as a customer. They offer no option to come back closer to when your car is ready to be serviced, even when it’s hours away, without going to the back of the line.

This place is literally a joke. I made an appointment ahead of time and arrived 15 minutes early. They had their waitroom taped off and said you had to wait outside. After 2 hours I didnt hear anything and was told they were waiting on approval because I needed new tires. Approval from who? I said I dont want tires from them and they said I still had to wait for the oil change. Finally after 3.5 hours I take my car and I see the paperwork and they added an extra 50k of miles. They also didnt top off the wiper fluid. Their normal price (which I lease through a company so didnt pay it) is about $75. The dealership charges less than $40, washes, vacuums and tops all fluids and never more than an hour or they give me a loaner. I will never go here again even if the company says I need to. I would rather come out of pocket. Time is more valuable

Go somewhere else - they charged me $330 for a $150 dollar battery with no explanation. I have contacted customer service multiple times and was told a senior rep would contact me within 48 hours. It has been a week and not one whiff of contact from them.The battery everywhere it is sold is $149 or less.Theres even a portion on their work order with a checkbox that reads customer was advised of increased costs of their order, and big surprise, its blank!This is on top of the fact that I was one of the first appointments of the day, was surprised to hear the car would take until the end of the day to SWAP A BATTERY, and then didnt receive a notice that the car was done until the following day.Given how shady this location is per the rest of the reviews, this seems intentional.This is bait and switch, nothing more nothing less. I will be looking into my legal options. Shame on you.

The stores new manager Dwayne was pretty great. I’m not much of a car guy but i needed to get my brakes replaced on my car because i was hearing grinding when I pressed the brake. After the inspection Dwayne explained very clearly why my brakes were grinding and recommended new pads and rotors for the front of my car. Now no more grinding and i can sit in quarantine knowing my car is safe to drive again. I will definitely continue to come back for future services. Thanks Dwayne!

Had an appointment for 10am for an alignment and i showed up at 9:45. My truck was pulled back a little after 11am. After an hour they said they needed to put on a camber adjustment kit. All other shops have got my alignment on without that. I said ok. Then they put the tech on a different job for half an hour. He finally got back to my truck. After 5.5 hours for an alignment it is still pulling hard to the right. Please do not come here. I am finding a new shop ASAP.

Horrible customer service.I scheduled an appointment online 3 days in advance for a standard oil change and tire rotation. First, there was no information about how much the service would cost--not online, not in the confirmation email, not until I got to the appointment. Ive been here many times before, so I expected it would be the usual price and just booked the appointment.I selected the wait in store option when I booked. I was there 10 minutes early and asked what the expected wait time would be, hoping I could be back at work before my lunch ended. The guy told me it would be 3 hours and raised his voice going on about how they had 4 people waiting ahead of me and the next guy over was checking in 4 more customers right now.Its not my fault they overbooked. I had an appointment 3 days in advance. They dont need to yell at me for their screw up.I ended up riding to and from work (missing time on the clock) in an Uber. A simple oil change ended up costing me easily an EXTRA $60 between lost work time and Uber fare. Oh, and then they didnt even do the tire rotation!What a waste of time and money!

Customer service was fine or so we thought... we were on a road trip and we let them know which was our mistake because they clearly are trying to take advantage. They tried charging 1,000$ for new brakes/rotors/Callibors on a car valued at 7,000. So manipulative and MESSED up you can NOT trust these people. We called plenty of other places and got quotes and they were all LESS than HALF of what they were trying to squeeze out of us. So upsetting can’t believe people are this way :( Business owners please don’t even respond to this, I don’t want to hear your lame excuses. You should be ashamed.

I had my shocks replaced here and had a excellent experience. Alan, the service manager was more than helpful. Keep in mind that if they dont have the parts on hand, they will have to order them, and might require more time or another service date while the parts are delivered. If you want good, thorough service where they stand by their work, this is a great place to go. Automotive service takes time when its done correctly. Competitors who offer fast service might make mistakes.

I have been dealing with several issues in regards to my vehicle for the past year. Loss of power to accelerate, a cluster that constantly reset itself, a sputtering engine, a constant misfire, and sporadic check engine lights that several mechanics and novices such as myself had no idea how exactly to fix. I took it to Pep Boys from recommendation of a buddy of mine and found right away that the Manager Dwayne knew his stuff and was pretty confident that he would be able to find and fix my issue. He welcomed the challenge. What made the whole experience great was the fact that I was able to drop my vehicle off, I didnt have to wait around, I ALSO didnt have to constantly call and request updates because HE called ME and updated me on the progress of the vehicle and explained what tests they were running and what solutions he thought would fix my issue. In the end he found that a symptom of the issue was the alternator was stuck open and causing a hard ripple which in turn caused my vehicle to have sporadic issues especially under load and after that was fixed he dove in further to determine the misfires were being caused by bad coils, again a symptom of the underlying problem. Lastly the sputter or in my opinion a feeling of suffocating from my vehicle and the resetting cluster was caused due to a bad Idle Air Control valve. Literally nobody in over a year has been able to find and fix my issues. It runs so well now. Dwayne was great, im very happy my escape is healthy.

Went in to get my break system flushed and tires rotated. During this process the associate who helped me was very nice and pointed out that I could save $ if I called Big O Tires and got their cost for the same service. And it did! Saved me about $25. That is the only reason it gets any stars. Following the service ALL my break / traction lights were on. I figured it would turn off over time, but it didnt. I disconnected the battery and reconnected to reset without luck. I took it back and that same very helpful guy told me there is nothing they could do and I needed to take it to my dealership. He offered nothing to make me feel like he even cared that I now have to spend a lot more $$ by going to the dealer.Started out giving them 1 star, but I gave them 3 because customer service did contact me after my original review and they did end up correcting the situation with no extra charge. But still.... it should of been corrected when I came back originally.

Just had an oil change done today and couldn’t be more happy with the service that was done. Dwayne the manager quoted me a few items he suggested on my vehicle and explained why they would be necessary to fix in the near future. Writing this review while seating here, waiting for my car. I Came during the weekend to have a tire repaired! They said waiting time was about 3 hours. Made an appointment to have it fix in “45 min!!” I’ve been here for 2 hours and still NOTHING! Asked for it around 1 hour ago and they had clearly not even started to work on my car. This place is extremely disrespectful with people’s time! What’s the point of having an appointment if they’re not going to respect it??

Well going here is normally great for parts. The service team is very good. Unfortunately if you need service you have to drop your car off for the whole day. It doesnt matter if you set an appointment. Even for an oil change. I made an appointment for 5pm to just get an oil change. Went in. I was told that I would have to leave my vehicle for a couple hours (later the service writer verified and it was going to be am going to add a half before they could start on my vehicle). Pep boys, Please dont offer appointments if they cant be kept.That being said, once you get your vehicle in, the mechanics know what they are doing and dont charge for things that dont need to be done. 3 stars for honesty. Zero for timeliness because of the inability to keep appointments.Update: so the company replied with the exact same canned response they reply to everyone with. I also got an email asking if I wanted to reschedule the appointment I missed. However I didnt miss the appointment. They did.

They changed my oil, but because I told them I didnt know much about mechanics I feel as though they tried taking advantage of me in that sense. It cost 10 bucks more at this location than the one a mile down the road for the oil change, and then the man told me they recommend I get two new tires upfront because they were bald. They are still at 5/32 in front! And 7/32 in the back, and can be rotated for the time being with no worry. No I am not a mechanic, but Im not an idiot either.

This store is an absolute joke...they installed a faulty cooling fan less than a year ago, so I called to set up an appointment, took my car in at 8 a.m. I hadnt heard any updates, so I decided to call at 3 p.m. only for Travis to tell me that they have no proof that I ever purchased the cooling fan system from them. Eventually I got off the phone and called back with a proof of debit card transaction (I didnt get a receipt emailed to me-they didnt give me that option). THANKFULLY, another employee answered and told me that because I bought the product from the Parts service that they do not have record of my receipt - they had remodeled after they worked on my car and were now only a service center. So the other well mannered employee (cannot remember his name, older fella) gave me the number to the parts warranty where I could obtain my receipt. So I thought, cool, Ill get my receipt and then send it to them, boom - theyll replace the faulty fan. WRONG. I called them to ask where to email the receipt so I can get the service scheduled and they told me WE DO NOT HAVE RECORD OF INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT INTO YOUR CAR. WE DID NOT DO THAT SERVICE ON YOUR CAR. Oh okay, so I bought what is an almost $800 part from Pep Boys after Pep Boys diagnosed the issue in the first place, but I decided to not have them install it? WRONG. It is not my fault that you have poor record keeping. Then the manager tells me to call the parts warranty number again, when employee Travis couldve taken the time to explain this situation and how to go about it in the first place. It is unacceptable. NOW, Im waiting on a manager from the parts warranty office to find my part numbers, receipt, warranty information etc. All the while my car needs to be worked on, its been 4 weeks since I initially brought my car in for the replacement. Once I get my warranty information and proof of purchase, I WILL NOT STEP FOOT IN THIS PEP BOYS! Since I HAVE to use Pep Boys to get this debacle settled, I will gladly go to a different store. Wanna know why? Because Dwayne, the manager was the least helpful that a manager could be, didnt listen - if we were face to face I could just see him throw his arms up and walk away, not try to give me any sort of help or troubleshoot solutions. As I was telling him how ridiculous of an experience this ordeal has been, I was mid sentence and he said Okay, Brian. Have a nice day. and hung up on me. Superior management tactics, Dwayne. This store is a joke. At least Luiz in the parts warranty service was helpful and led me in the right direction. Its still unacceptable that this is 4 weeks in the making and my car is still not fixed. ALL BECAUSE STORE #0241 IS NOT LONGER A PARTS STORE ANYMORE?! As if that should ever be the customers problem. This is completely unacceptable, once my car is finally fixed through Pep Boys (which I requested from Luiz to put in my claim not that I will not take my car to store #0241) I will never step foot in another Pep Boys again. I cant say it enough - these guys are a joke (except Luiz).

What a rude customer service. I called to get info about vehicle that have been service and about to buy through auction. Carfax reported last time its been serviced with pep boys. Called pep boys to see what service was done with car. All the corporate (VW, Nissan, Toyota, Porsche) can tell you what they did to the car but not PepBoys. MR on the phone was total jerk. Last week I had to have my car serviced. It was for a simple oil change and I needed an alignment too. I use Pep Boys because I have always had a good experience and because it is in my neighborhood. They ran into an issue after putting the wheel back on after the alignment, and Pep Boys simply handled that issue for me as well. I trust the service and care they put into working on my car. I am a sales rep and rely on my car very much. I have never had a bad experience and everyone that has helped me here is professional and courteous. I will definitely be back when I need to purchase tires!

Only place in Denver that was willing to fit us in their busy schedule. All we needed was one tire replaced and they did that. Josh was very friendly and knowledgeable. We went to a couple other tire locations prior to Pep boys on Broadway and they were both jokes! So happy with the service.

In September, I had their team perform a pre-purchase inspection on my car. They cleared the car as, more or less, fine. When I picked it up, I drove for about 10 minutes and the car started making a noise I had never heard before. I then had to drive the car back and leave it over night for them to fix the error that they had made.Fast-forward 2 months, my car failed its emissions test. I called the folks at Pepboys and they said Bring it in and we will take a look for you. They did not mention pricing or anything. I drive there in rush hour and make my SO drive separately as I would have to leave the car over night. I am ready to drop the car and be on my way, then a different employee tells me it will cost $90. I left quite frustrated and needless to say, I will not be back.

Was told roughly an hour on the phone. In person, was told 2- 2.5 hours......3+ hours to have tires installed when I have the first appointment of the day. Easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had getting my car repaired. Waited 2+ hours to get my oil changed. After the first hour waiting I asked if I could get a time estimate for when the car would be ready and they said they just pulled it in the shop, at which point I see one of their employees immediately run out and start working on my car. On top of that I did not receive a single apology for the wait. First and last time I’ll go to a Pep Boys.

Unfortunately the service manager at this location is misleading and has anger management issues. While employed under Mr. Dwayne I was instructed several times to put the wrong oil into certain vehicles, or to laugh at customers with him when they ask a question. I would avoid this location at all costs and take your business somewhere that deserves it. The older service writer Kevin also has severe anger management issues and has been known as a narcissistic person. They don’t treat their techs well here and unfortunately it reflects on the company.

I got a flat tire due to a nail stuck in it and initially went to a different car shop where they offer to fix it for free. Well, long story short... the other shop tried to coax me into buying four new tires. It wasn’t something I was ready to do so easily. So, I went back to my home base of car shops... Pep Boys. I made an appointment and brought my car in the next morning. I was greeted politely and then threw a million questions at the gentleman at the service desk and he tried to answer everyone of them despite the growing line and even asked for a second opinion. Jeramy offered to look at my car and had me pull it around. I ran off for a quick bit, came back and my car was ready AND the tire was actually fixed. It was so painless... even after a busy holiday weekend! It made my Monday & my wallet just a little bit better :) thanks again !!

After I paid, they had another car parked behind mine for 30 minutes and then it took them another 20 minutes to give me my car. Poor staff and not friendly.

WORST EXPERIENCE!!!I initially went to the store to fix the check engine light and was told fuse box needed to be replaced. After it was done a day later the engine light came on again. Took my car in this morning at 8 for an oil change, I was told it would be around an hour or so, so I walked over to Starbucks and had some breakfast and then walked around the block. I came back right around an hour had passed to find out my car hadn’t even been started on which was frustrating and they told me another hour TOPS; I needed the oil change so I waited another hour and a half, 2.5 hours for an oil change on a Tuesday Morning!!! Not to mention how rude the associate was.

I went in on a Sunday, they immediately took my car back, tried to work on it, but the engine was to dirty. So they told me how to clean it, and I went to do that. When I got back it was late, but they took the car anyways and their staff stayed later to make sure it would be done by 11 am on Monday for me. This was my first experience here, but wont be my last. Great service, fair prices, and a nice place to wait. Plus they have all the parts in house.

I made an appointment to have my brakes checked as well as an oil change. The appointment was made through the Pep Boys website. It was made about two days before for 8am.I arrived to the location at 8am. I heard nothing from the location and at 4pm contacted the store.The person on the phone seemed to have trouble even finding my car. When they finally did he stated they hadn’t even pulled it into the garage. I made an appointment to get my tires rotated. I was told there would be no charge for the service when I got there for the appointment. Long story short, an hour and a half later they finally finished. The man there, Travis, could have been a robot- no empathy, no apology, no notification of a delay, nothing. Even after he finally just handed me the keys, he didnt let me know where the car was parked. It was horrible service. I would have gladly paid for some actual service.

Very helpful and friendly. I ordered a set of snow tires online and had them shipped to pepboys. They were able to squeeze me in and get them mounted the same day. The staff was very friendly and I spend most of my time talking about their car hobbies. The gentleman who assisted me told me he does autocross on the weekends and another employee and I talked about his scooter passion. These are obviously people who care about their jobs and are passionate about what they do. I felt very well taken care of and trusted them completely. Ive always taken by car to get tires mounted at dedicated tire shops and this was my first experience getting them mounted elsewhere. I will be back for sure.

The car sat on the rack for 2 hours after they did their initial inspection no communication no work being done. Then they called and tried to tell me I needed new windshield wipers, stating the ones I had were streaky when used, which I declined. Dont come here. The shop owners dont want to help you out, the manager doesnt care about the life of your car and the employees want to get out of there as soon as possible.I took my care there for an alignment, something that should take 30min at the most (if there are no cars). There were no cars at the time and I called ahead to ask how long it would take, they told me around 30min. So I arrived and told them I was the one that called and needed my car in less than an hour. Two hours later they came out and said the alignment had been fixed (it wasnt), that my alignment was off due to a broken part (not true, I took it to Big O Tires and they said it was fine), and gave me sour attitude about it. Granted, they gave me a whopping 15% off and apologized.The other time I took my girlfriends car here for a diagnostics, they assured me it would be seen at the latest that night. 24 hours later they called me and said a diagnostics couldnt be done on the car because too much work as already been done on it...?Dont come here, itll put you in a bad mood.(EDIT) The store manager extended a great apology to me. My husband went to get a tire fixed that was going flat fast. They told him to go back at 7 and they would fix it then. We drove around for an hour and a half and returned at 7. They then told us that they didnt have any patches and couldnt fix it. Well why did they tell us to come back at 7 if they couldnt fix it in the first place?!!! I dropped my car off this past week for an estimate on a power steering replacement. A Pep Boys service representative called me back and told me it would cost roughly $680 for a new power steering motor, fluid flush, and service. Given the price being fairly high, I called around and received an estimate of $375 from another mechanic...I went to pick up my car and received a fee of $21 for a service rep to look at my vehicle and provide an estimate. I would have been totally fine with this fee if I was told about this charge prior to receiving an estimate (at least listed somewhere noticeably in the fine print). BEWARE!!!Being upset, I told him that I received an estimate of $375 elsewhere. He then proceeded to tell me that if I provided documentation of the cheaper estimate, he would beat $375. Totally for a cheaper price, but this shows how shady this place can be. They take advantage of people at first, charging roughly double the actual cost. Definitely going to support the local mechanics over Pep Boys...

Do not rent a car from here for lyft! You pay 300 a week to hertz. There are no rewards or breaks. You must work 60 + hours a week to make any money. Upon returning the car realized I made hertz 1600 dollars and i ended up making like 400 myself for a whole month.Its a SCAM. Dont do it. Only work for lyft if you have your own car. This Pep Boys has been struggling for years to keep competent service managers and technicians. Making an appointment in advance never makes a difference - even if I just need something done that would take 15 minutes anywhere else, Ill see my car sitting where I left it for hours before anyone gets to it.Ive stood by and watched their techs wrestling with a wheel or brake rotor for 45 minutes before getting it on right. They always tell me they are short staffed no matter what time I come in, and whether or not Ive called ahead days earlier. Since I started coming here for all my auto maintenance (because they have a monopoly on the service contract Lyft uses), Ive seen them go through several different service managers without ever seeing any improvements.Im a former automotive technician, and Ive never seen such a shameful operation.

Awful experience without so much as an apology for their screw up.Came in to change out my brake pads and was told theyd get to it 3:30-4:00. Vehicle went up on the lift at 3:40. A half hour went by - longer than it should take to replace 4 brake pads - but I figured they might just be backed up. When I hadnt heard anything after an hour I tried to find someone at the service desk, but it was deserted.I decided to walk around and see what the delay was and saw that two of my wheels were off, so I figured it would only be a few more minutes.Fast forward until 6:00, and the guy at the service counter is finally back. I ask about the hold-up and how much longer itll take to replace four brake pads, and he says, uhh...it looks like that was a slowdown on my end. PepBoys is where my parents and grandparents always went to so thats all I know for car care. Brought my car in cause it was shaking and check engine light, and for oil change and brake testing. I feel like not just this location but others too are all overwhelmed. The last few times my appointment didnt mean anything and the shop was way over booked. I was just approved for their credit card and now owe alot with my car not being fixed. It is now fixed cause I had to find other options. I dont feel ripped off cause I know the techs were doing the best they can to get cars in and out. The mechanic who came out to my house for repairs guaranteed pepboys never removed a single spark plug. I thought they were being honest saying they cant do repairs needed cause coolant and oil was mixing. Engine block test showed that wasnt true but I still owe $670 for what was done. Told to stop shaking they have to fix all check engine codes

Disappointing service experience with the exception of Emily who saved the rating from one star status. Called at 8 am to make appointment for 2 pm to have a tire looked at that was leaking air. Emily said no appointment necessary and come in at 2. Upon arrival there was no one at service counter and 4 people sitting around at parts counter. I had to walk to parts counter and ask for help at service counter. Once service staff came out I was told there was no way I could be helped because there were tickets ahead of me. I was so stunned I forgot to ask for Emily. I called a few other Pep Boys and was met with same inability to help and lack of professional courtesy. I decided to go back to service counter and ask for Emily. She happened to be there upon my return, I explained to her that her coworker said that I would be unable to have my car tire looked at due to work load. I also stated that you (Emily) said it would be possible. Emily said she would take care of it right now. She took my keys, got the car on the rack, removed the damaged tire/wheel, found the cause of air leak (screw), repaired the tire, put the tire/wheel back in place, checked the other three tires, let the car down, returned car to customer parking, and returned my key to me, all in less than 15 minutes. Emily was 5 star professional. She is the kind of employee Pep Boys needs to hire and replace the others that were sitting around. Thank you Emily.

Went there for wheel alignment for my Truck. Their system apparently can’t adjust the SAI component of the wheel alignment. After 3 repeat visits within 24 hours, gave up on them. It was still pulling drastically to the right.Took it to Toyota dealership, and they got the alignment done correctly the first time.Asked Pep Boys for refund but they flat out refused. Will not be going there again. I’ve used them over my last 2 vehicles for tires and general maintenance all over the US, but they lost me as a customer after this incident. Shame really. I need tire replacement soon on my truck which is usually around 1500$. They lost that business over a 150$ failed ’lifetime’ alignment.Gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the people were generally friendly to deal with despite failure of the main objective.And to the Pep Boys generic response that I’m sure will come soon, I will not email you or do anything further. I gave you 3 shots at fixing the problem. Disappointed every single time. Never going back. I called about an oil change and got pricing and everything over the phone. I ask if I need an appointment and the guy asks what time I want to come by, I tell him and he says they’ll get me right in! So I go at said time and the front counter people keep their backs to me after they see me walk in and watch me stand in line for a while before getting someone to come help me only to be told there’s a 2.5 hour wait. Went in for an oil change and was told you need rear brakes bad, its practically metal on metal after receiving a quote I decided to go to Brakes Plus to see their prices. After their inspection I was told I have 70% pad left in the rear and it would feel wrong of them to charge me for a service I did not need. Definitely second others sentiment to always check that work has been completed. Dropped my car off and they royally dropped the ball neglecting to complete half of what was scheduled and taking >7 hours to do it. Turns out no managers were on site that day and everyone but Emily slacked off. Spoke to the manager Erik about it who was apologetic and made things right. Still gave the car a once over before leaving and found a few things missing but managing people for a living myself I understand things slip. Bottomline, management cares, there are a few key employees but if you are a good mechanic and know how to grind throughout the day, this place needs you.
